Ive heard this complaint about some other Firebirds locations..... More attention to the BP is needed. $80 for two steaks and the potato is less than mediocre.

Visited tonight for Happy Hour with another couple; making a reservation for a cocktail table. Upon our arrival we were told that they don t make reservations in the bar area for HH, but I did via phone conversation. Strike 1. We were seated in dining area and allowed the HH menu. 1 martini on the HH menu and very sweet. Other drinks simple and can t screw up. Food good for HH. Bar VERY Slow. Waited a LONG time for additional cocktails. It was only OK. Nothing great.

It s a definite no for me. After recovering from the flu, I was really looking forward to my first meal, but I left feeling incredibly disappointed. The sea bass was far too salty, and the mushrooms lacked flavor. There was something off about the cheese in the baked potato that I just couldn t get past. The lobster queso was decent, but overall, I only managed to eat about 10% of my meal before leaving. It just wasn t worth the money spent, and I won t be returning.

Overall good experience - we shared crispy panko onion rings, the $40 3-course dinner with soup or salad, steak chicken or shrimp with a side and a petite dessert was actually what I d consider full-sized! The potatoes au gratin were wonderful (and no doubt 1000 calories!). Had one of the best ever gin and tonics and an excellent server. Will go back - it s a bit hidden behind Velvet Taco. Looks like a good place to sit at the bar, too

Literally the worst steak I ever had... I ordered the Ribeye medium rare, the surface of the steak had a charcoal flavor and the steak itself had no flavor. Though I was hungry I ate half and gave up. I bagged the rest to give to my dog. Wife had the filet, no charcoal burn flavor but also no flavor as well. Sides of carrots and shrooms were OK but I could have made it better myself.

Great vibe!! Went here for the first time for happy hour about a month ago and have been back a few times ever since. The food is amazing and service is incredible. My fiancé loved the Ahi Tuna appetizer and the southwest-style salad that came with it was deliciously fresh and flavorful. Drinks were strong. Steaks had wonderful flavor but did come out a little more done than how they were ordered. Our waitress was perfect and responsive without being intrusive. Atmosphere was nice but didn t make us uncomfortable to be dressed casually. Our ticket was $110 for a 2-person lunch.

I tried this place for the first time and everything was amazing! Happy Hour right at 625 I got sangria and jumbo Lump corn balls, so yummy on HH. My table tried the devilled eggs, the whip was so light and delicious and the candied bacon strip was to perfection! For dinner I had the cajun ribeye and baked potato! Everything was cooked and seasoned well. And even after all this goodness, I ordered the brownie sundae! This was a complete hit! Absolutely loved everything!

First time dining here and we celebrated my moms birthday. We both had salmon but hers was with shrimp and some kind of sauce, mine was grilled with sides. Both were absolutely excellent!!! Weve tried a variety of entrees at Firebirds and have been generally pleased overall. Steaks are excellent with a nice smoky flavor. Burgers have been excellent almost every time. Brunch is great, although the grits are more grits with cheese versus the cheesy grits as described on the menu. Steak fries are a favorite side with the over the top club sandwich. Try the Firebirds chardonnay or cabernet sauvignon to complement your entrée and you wont be disappointed. Jackson, Adam, Stephanie and Alison will take great care of you at the bar. Enjoy!

The girl behind the bar was to concerned with replying to messages on her Apple Watch than attending to guest. Very disappointing. If you want to hear about all the problems and woes of the staff: sit by the end of the bar, all you will hear is complaints, I m honestly shocked an establishment runs like this.

Well, our server was nice and prompt. Their bread is simple but good. My husband got the garlic steak that he felt was definitely not seasoned well...he added salt and pepper at the table! The scalloped potatoes were drowning in cheese and not enough potatoes. I attempted to enjoy a nice Chilean Sea Bass, but they served me an old or overcooked rubbery and tasteless version, and the 2nd attempt was definitely overcooked....so much so that I had to use a knife!! The micrograms, veggie, and rice were delicious, and the asparagus was good, but I wanted the star of the show, and they failed!! At least my meal was taken off the check, but we wont be back! We were seated at the back where several employees gathered nearby, and I could hear their conversations, not entertaining! We were celebrating our 37th Wedding Anniversary, and I didnt even feel like trying dessert.

Made our first visit on Fathers Day, and wow! What an experience! Started with the Lobster Spinach Queso and the Seared Ahi Tuna with Won Ton Slaw. They were both delicious! The tuna felt like it was melting in your mouth, and there was enough slaw that two people could have easily shared this. Our group had steak, salmon, shrimp, and burgers - and there were no complaints! The portions were large and the sides plentiful - and unique. I still havent figured out all the ingredients in the Ancient Grains Pilaf, but it was scrumptious! Highly recommend the three course meal - soup or salad, entree, and dessert. Our ice tea glasses were never empty - it seemed like a race between the staff to see who could fill them up first. Coty, our server was absolutely on top of things the entire meal. All of our food came out in a timely manner - exactly how we ordered it. And he was there to make sure we were taken care of. With his excellent manners and customer service demeanor, we predict he will go far in whatever he endeavors. Thank you Firebirds for a meal to remember!

We stumbled upon this location on a layover from DFW and I m so thankful we did! From the moment we walked in the vibes were amazing. The host was super friendly and our server Tamika (hope I m spelling it right) was truly the best. She was so upbeat and very helpful making recommendations for something to eat/drink. We have been coming here to Firebirds since they first opened and have really enjoyed there great drinks, food, atmosphere and how attentive they are to your needs. Well I guess the party is over. We started at the bar with a couple of drinks. My old fashion barely filled half of the glass even with a large ice cube. We moved to the dining room for dinner and ordered a bottle of their private label red wine. When she brought it to the table it was a chilled bottle and before we knew it she had poured 2 full glasses without us even tasting it. We then ordered 2 steak dinners and I also added a side salad to be brought before the main meal. After about 15 minutes the main course was served and still no salad, so I said cancel the salad but they wanted to put it in a box for me to take home and I refused. So I guess another great place has now turned mediocre. Not going to waste my money here.

Dropped here by chance and was surprised by how good it was. Lots of interesting memu items, we decided on the filet mignon and the salmon. The filet was masterfully cooked medium rare, super tender and flavorful, maybe just too heavy on the blue cheese sauce and could have been more powerful on the blue cheese (less sauce, more flavor), but otherwise fantastic. The gratin potatoes were really good too. The salmon was also very good, the roasted carrots were delicious. The staple is that they wood grill their plates and that profile comes through. My margarita was just OK. Yes, this is not a fancy, pricey steakhouse, so Im not rating comparatively; but this one is top notch compared to an Outback or even Saltgrass. Very fairly priced for its quality. Definitely coming back

I ve came several times since this location opened. The managers I have dealt with have always been amazing! I manage a steakhouse and appreciate when one stops by to check during our meal. The food seemed to lack for a time there, but I m glad I decided to give it another try. It seems to be back on track this week when I went back, and the man Stephen that came by was extremely welcoming and genuine. Service was amazing and felt like guests, not just customers. I have been to this location several times since opening. The food was never bad but wasn t always consistently great. However, my experience here the past couple times has been great. It s like the staff have enthusiasm for what they are doing. And the food was much more finely prepared than on previous visits. I had been hoping they would make whatever adjustments they need to, because the menu and environment are inviting and pleasant. It seems they likely have by my experiences two days ago at supper and about 5 or 6 days ago when a friend took me there for a late lunch. We came here for a birthday brunch, and this spot was a win! Most got burgers that were perfect on their brioche buns. I paid near $200 for a disappointing experience. The service was very bland. The mashed potatoes remind me of the instant ones that come in the bag. My asparagus wasn t great. My steak was cooked well. the drinks weren t worth the price I paid for. It is very much overpriced bar food. I can go down the street to Flips pay half the price of what I did and enjoy much better food and alcoholic beverages. I m open to giving restaurants a second try but that wasn t the case here. My first experience with this restaurant is the manager (chef autumn)canceling my reservation before even speaking with me. I noticed I had two missed calls so I called the store back and spoke with this same manger . She asked me if I m still coming I told her I sure was . Online when I booked for two people it says the restaurant does not close until 12 . This is the impression I was under still . The manager then proceeded to tell me I did not need a reservation for two people I could just walk in . So that s what I did around 10:15 I walked in to be seated just to find out they were closed ! They refused to give me a table. I had to speak to the manager again and when I asked her why she didn t tell me they closed at 10 so I could have made other accommodations she stated she needed the slot open for another party and she pretty much wanted it clear up so they could accept other people . I asked her again why she didn t mention the restaurant would be closed during our phone call she started talking in circles never answering my questions. Then she offered me and my other guest a seat at the bar just for the chef to rush our order in the same five minutes that I was going to sit down .We had to leave because they made us feel unwanted from the jump. Honestly very unprofessional. If they did not want to seat a 2 top at 10pm that s fine there just was not honesty or communication she made it seem like I could come in and get a table knowing that they wouldn t seat me. For this restaurant to be just opening you would think management had more consideration and care . Said manager is a short black female Chef Autumn.

Food was good, but Ive had better. If I hadnt been to a better place it would have gotten 5 states for food. However, the napkins and forks are dirty. Looked like someone blew their nose on the napkin I opened that had my forks. So I asked for another set and although it was cleaner and obviously washed it still looked dirty and the forks and knives very spotted making them look dirty... Take a second to wipe the spots. Atmosphere was ok, but not romantic and not with 50.00 a plate after tip

Firebirds was one of my absolute favorite places when we lived in Memphis, so was so very happy to see this one open in Grapevine. It did not disappoint. First of all, a very open and airy ambiance with the signature colorful bar area. This particular layout was a little to open for my taste compared to other locations I have visited, but that did not take away from the experience. First of all the service was beyond excellent. We were here with a one-year-old and every single team member could not have been any nicer. They placed us off at the edge with little traffic, which is always smart to do. They delivered his food very quickly so he would be able to start eating right away. We 4 adults were also extremely pleased with our service and meals. Of course no meal at Firebirds should start without the Lobster Queso. We just love this stuff. Plus, the chips that come with it are perfect crispness and seasoning. It was a warm day, so we all four had salads. Two Buffalo, one grilled tenderloin and one base salad with salmon. In each case, the lettuce and vegetables were crisp, the dressing excellent and the protein perfectly prepared. They are quite large, so no one left hungry. Two in the group also had drinks from the bar, which were well done as well, particularly the lemon drop. This restaurant gets a solid five stars for service and the freshness and taste of the food. From other location experiences, I can say without hesitation that no one I have been with or myself has ever had a bad meal at a Firebirds.

Had happy hour here with my wife on a Friday. The fish tacos were truly great, my wife loved her salad, but the real star (for me) were the perfect fries. Likes actually perfect, especially if you like thicker fries. At first it was a little odd that when asked if we had been there before both the bar tender and hostess said something along the lines of You ve been missing out! Now, this is not a big deal at all, but just odd since this location has only been open for like 2 weeks lol We had a different bar tender at the start, and he was good. BUT then Miranda came behind bar to work as well and she was seriously great. Everything a bar tender should embody, she had in spades: personable, made recommendations based on taste, easy to talk to, attentive and fun. We are moving in a few days but will return at some point I m sure. I d love to try more food and drinks here. Would definitely recommend

Excited to try this place after all the great reviews...thought it was an independently owned concept but its not...sat at the bar and had drinks and 2 appetizers...buns were stale on sliders, shrimp were basic frozen shrimp and piled high with way too much mayo based sauce...my Jameson on the rocks was literally served in a glass the size of a baby thimble and they also measure out wine pours to exactly 6oz pours...didnt stay for dinner...paid our tab and went back to Wildwood Grill in Southlake for freshly prepared non frozen food and hand poured cocktails!!

Finally was able to dine here, daughters birthday. The exterior esthetics with the flame column added to the wood fire style of cooking. Reservations are a must as it was filled to the brim. Seating is standard with a main area, but it does appear they have a private party area for larger groups. It can be a bit loud with everyone talking, but its expected. Plenty of staff helping, serving, tending, and managers visible to ensure customers are being taken care of. Keshawn was out server, and he did an outstanding job! Cocktail Drinks were a little slow to come out, most likely due to the number of customers. Our drinks were crafted with flavors that were very pleasantly enjoyed. The deviled egg with bacon appetizer is a must-have! We ordered filet mingon, honey garlic chicken, and aged sirloin. The food was hot and was delicious. My steak was a tad over salted, but I left none to waste. My martini glass had gotten a little warm because I was busy enjoying my steak, but Keshawn was right there with another frosted glass. Now thats customer service. It was time for dessert, which it was planned to celebrate my daughters birthday. Was expecting a serenade from the staff, which didnt happen, and thats ok because my daughter didnt want that, lol. Instead, they brought out this large plate of Creme Brulee Cheesecake, which was divine. We ordered the Chocolate Brownie as well, and let me tell you, it will make you come back again just to eat that. Look at the picture and tell me that is not yummy! This contemporary American fare restaurant was buzzing on Friday night. We had a 7 pm reservation and they were packed but in less than 10 minutes at the bar our table was ready. Our waitress Midori was fun and had good suggestions on menu items that were popular. Some good appetizers and nice steaks with many toppings, salmon and also a three course dinner option. My wife had a tasty grilled chicken salad and I had the ribeye medium rare. The steak was large and thin and cooked perfectly with garlic thyme butter. Don t skip dessert, especially the salted caramel brownie!

Great desserts. Great service. Dinner was good but almost like pre-made food that was heated up. Its certainly not fine dining, but it was good. My only complaint was being seated outside without being asked. It was raining and cold. But they helped us move near the fireplace, so it was fine, and it seemed as if the hostesses sat everyone with kids outside. There were a couple of birds that terrorized everyone, but it made for a funny story. The tortilla soup and desserts were so good that Ill return just for those, and I appreciated how well trained the staff was to understand that good service was their requirement. Post covid hotel and restaurant service has gone way down, so it was refreshing.

Hidden behind velvet taco in grapevine. Classy atmosphere but dressy casual attire. The food was presented with a look to drive your taste buds wild. And then when you enjoyed the food of a three course dinner there was plenty. My wife and I will split one next time, yes we are coming back. Great service by Cody wait staff every where a pace to be pampered. Watch out the desert could be a meal too the bread pudding was delicious! I recommend this for lunch or dinner.

Went during lunch. Big fan of firebirds but brought a friend who had never been. The wings were the main draw and as a connoisseur he felt these were easily in the top 5 he had eaten throughout the US. And for it to belong to a chain restaurant was shocking. The service is always exceptional, the food never disappoints. Ill be back every week while Im here the next month or so.

Absolutely amazing, everything was beyond delicious. We started off with some cocktails and the ahi tuna appetizer that came with an asian slaw that was a huge hit. For dinner my fiancé had the 3 course entree option that came with a Caesar salad, the dressing was made in house and it was delicious. I had the tomahawk pork chop that was cooked to perfection and covered in a hot honey sauce that I could eat everyday, it also came with roasted whole carrots topped with feta *chefs kiss* overall this is definitely a new favorite and I cannot wait to take my family here!! I got the opportunity to experience VIP dining prior to the Grand Opening. I love Firebirds. Prior to moving to DFW, I frequent the locations in Memphis because I worked about 3 mins away and the service and food is amazing. During the pre grand opening I had the deviled eggs not pictured. Lobster Fondue with Salmon with the Southwest Au Gratin potatoes and an order of veggies. You gotta eat your veggies people, its a must. . I also enjoyed a refreshing mocktail.

It was our first time at the new Firebirds -Grapevine. It is warm and inviting. Definitely clear more training needs to happen. One server was walking around I guess to help other servers but was way too aggressive - he did get our drinks. We waited another 15 mins at least before we even had our server come to our table. Our server was very nice, but not 100% knowledgeable about the menu..etc. We waited for almost an hour before getting our main entree, which was way too long. We had a discrepancy with a charge on our bill that our server was not able to correct. She offered a manager to come over, but after already having such a long wait we opted not to wait but asked for a menu to show her what we had ordered, showing her why the check was not correct. She did apologize. I guess Firebirds doesn t believe the customer is always right.

So this was my very first experience here at the location in Grapevine, TX. Peyton was my server! She was excellent about all the food options that she recommended me to try and all the desert options they had. The food and atmosphere was out of this world! This place has no competition against the surrounding restaurants in the area and I would highly recommend this place to a friend in the near future! When I say this was THE BEST restaurant experience I have ever had - I mean it! We came for my friends 27th birthday and everyone made it outstanding. The hosts pulled together all the perfect strings for this surprise party. The waiters went out of their way to make sure we didnt have to worry about a thing. 10/10 service. I ve dined at some of the best restaurants in the world and when I say the service was out of this world - I m not exaggerating. My friend received a warm, wet cloth so his hands don t get dirty from his burger. Our cocktails were served in such a cute way - 3 separate servers came at the same time, shook the glasses, and poured it all at once. The CHEF came out to sing our friend happy birthday. The general manager came by and asked if everything was perfect as well. So when I say from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU to this restaurant I mean it!!!
