We came here for a few drinks and dinner. The bartenders Edwen and Chez were great and very nice. But the shift lead was very rude and told us we were loud and and we should use inside voices when kids were screaming at the same time. Not only did I order the limited pork Chops and it was raw.

If it hadn t been for the bartender CHEZNEY- I would ve rated this location One star. It s my birthday and CHEZNEY has done an OUTSTANDING job as a bartender and making sure me and my guest were taken care of. It was four of us we ve been to cheddars and plenty of times never complained but TODAY a LEADER by the name of NELLY Decided to tell my guest and I that we needed to BE QUIET noise level because of kids. Not only are we sitting at the bar area and used INSIDE voices I had AirPods in and wasn t even speaking but Nelly brought her ass over here messing with us for no reason and it bothered me so much i HAD every right to be upset. Her approach as if we disturbed someone was insane. I m also a SERVER and I ve never heard or treated my guest like this. Nelly needs to apply for another position

Website states to call ahead for 6 or more to get on wait list. They would not honor the website. We have a party of 11 and was told no call ahead. I doubt I will b a customer after this. Then we had to wait till half the party was present. Revised after reply from customer relations. Not only did we have 11 people, we had to be separated because the tables are bolted to the floor. The only area that had moveable tables was the middle. We were waiting on 1 more of our party to arrive (our name was on the list) to have 1/2 and in walks a party of nine and they were given the section that had the moveable tables. Not 5 to 10 mins later the rest of our party showed up. This was pointed out to the staff and all we got was excuses. THen to top it off all of the salt shakers had moisture inside . Everytime I pointed this out I was given another one from the kitchen the same way. I also grabbed one from a empty table that was the same way. The lid came off when trying to shake it. Thank goodness it was not over my plate of food. There was rust buildup on the inside of the lid and around the edge of the glass. No one on the staff seemed to care enough to get the manager involved. I had to go to the front to request the manager.All that was said was, the A/C had just been fixed and that was why the salt shakers iare n that condition. 8/28/24 I have updated my review because the district manager called me to talk about the experience. He was definitley upset and concerned. I was told that the inside seating area will be getting a upgrade with new carpet and ALL the tables will be unbolted from the floor to make it a more modern place and large group friendly. He was obviously unaware of the situation. I was asked to be patient, that this kind of change will take sometime. The food was good, the service was attentive. But after having to bring the salt shaker issue to one of the servers, the issue was never brought to the attention of the manager until I asked the host to get the manager. We did get a nice gift card to use in the future. I look forward o seeing the changes. 9/17/24 BTW the district manager even gave us a gift card.

The manager on duty tonight is the absolute worst. Our waiter also had an 18 top with no support so he was too busy with that to make sure we were taken care of. There was a 10 top on the other side of us who didn t get appetizers that they ordered. The manager came over and feigned concern but he didn t care if they had issues. The manager needs to go. His customer service is non-existent.

Stop here after the TR game we like to sit at the bar and the only open space was dirty with plates. Neither of the bartender acknowledged us. A lady came from the kitchen and told one of them you got customers waiting can you clean this areas and he responded and searching something in the TV. Since he didn t spoke to us we figured that the tv was more important than the customers. We walked out.

Absolute horrible service. I ordered a fish and chips from the lunch menu, when the food came the fish was very undercooked, almost raw. Good experience. Family oriented restaurant serving American and some Cajun foods. We ordered the chips and queso with salsa, honey butter glazed croissants, pork ribs, sirloin with shrimp, Dijon chicken, and bourbon glazed salmon. I got my plate with a side of sweet baby carrots and steamed broccoli. The chips and queso were good but not amazing. The chips are a little on the thick side. The queso was plain. The salsa tasted better than the queso but it was a bit runny. The honey butter glazed croissants were amazing. 10/10. Perfect amount of sweet honey married with butter on a slightly crispy outside and airy soft inside. Comes with 5 croissants. If every restaurant were to be known for something (like Texas Roadhouse being known for their honey butter bread), cheddars would be known for their honey butter croissant. The (8 oz) salmon plate comes with seasoned rice but comes small. The bourbon glaze was delicious. Crispy edges and nice, moist, tender interior. Sauce is slightly lessened, not drenched over the fish. Steamed broccoli soft to the bite, almost mushy. Sweet baby carrots soft with slight firmness, a little too sweet for the dish. Service was friendly, checked in on us periodically. Table was clean. Atmosphere nice.

A group of us went to a theater to watch a movie in which one of our friends had a starring role. Afterwards, about 12 of us went to Cheddars Scratch Kitchen across the parking lot. We got there pretty late, so they were closing fairly soon. But our servers attitude, her desire to tend to our every need no matter what it was, her winning smile, and even the quality of the food that late.... couldnt have been better. I was very impressed. They claim to be a scratch kitchen, what I had was not made from scratch. The hamburger was a preformed frozen pattie. It had no flavor at all. The night closing crew did not clean or stock the bathroom, the condiments on the table were either missing or dirty, and the management was more involved with socializing with staff then taking care of the customers The bartender had on four inch nails, which is a health code violation along with taking a bath in body spray in the dinning area where any one could smell it.

We got on the waiting list from the website last Friday. It was only about 4:30ish and it said 2-5 minutes. We got there and checked in there was hardly anyone there. The hostess said it was a 25-30 minute wait. We were like what it said 2-5 minutes online. She said it always says that which is not very good or customer friendly. We had been out most of the day so we were ready to just ready to relax and have some good food. When I walked in it just didnt seemed to be clean, the floors were sticky and while we were waiting we sat down at the bar area and sad to say it was unclean as well. Didnt think anything of at the time because I just thought maybe they were busy before, but when we were seated we had to ask them to wipe the table off. It gets worse. When we ordered our food they were out of all of the pasta dishes. Most of the folks at my table wanted something with pasta, so instead we settled because we were hungry. I ordered an 8 oz Salmon with double rice. When I received my plate it had a 5 oz piece of Salmon on my plate. I asked my sever if this was what they considered to be a 8 oz and she stated yes. I know it wasnt true so I called the manager over had her look at it and she agreed with me that it wasnt and 8 it was a 5 and she replaced it. I dont know if they need better training, but it was already a brow raiser from the time we walked in up until we were seated and placed our order. The only highlight of the night was the manage. This location used to be my go-to, I havent been in a while but before I go to this location again there would have to be some major changes.

Tried the ribs and shrimp plate for the first time. I d give the ribs a 8/10 and the beer battered shrimp were great, 10/10. My lady got the yummy blackened salmon which was cooked to perfection, baked potato was on point, broccoli casserole was creamy, cheesy and delicious! 10/10. My food was awful, with no flavor on my herb chicken with broccoli/loaded potato being undercooked and too hard to eat. I returned the whole meal, and they brought me another chicken only meal l. Well, by this time, I was full from sampling other family members plates and the rolls. Also, another family member steak was overcooked, which she returned, and her drink was watery. Upon return the drink, the bartender came to the table to ask, Whats wrong with it? rudely with volume. I shall never dine at that location again. The only good part was that the male waiter had great manners/ customer service. This was supposed to be my uncle 76th birthday meal celebration, so awful we should have cooked a meal at home with birthday cake. Yesterday, on June 28, 2024, my husband and I, took our daughters to this particular Cheddar s, and the whole experience was amazing!! Our server/bartender/spokeswoman, Ms. Gigi, did an awesome job!! You could tell that she knows how to please her patrons, make them comfortable, kept it 100, and she went above and beyond, in her position! When you care about the customers needs, being able to read them and know exactly what they want, exemplified just who she is! It s more than just a job! The food was DELICIOUS!! I mean, down right DELICIOUS!! My previous experience at the Cheddar s on Little Rd., was just the opposite! Terrible food, no air conditioning where we were seated, and just overall horrible experience. This was on June 2, for my husband s birthday. The only thing that we enjoyed was our server. She was the best!! She went above and beyond to try to make our dining experience, not a total loss. This one, could learn a lot from the one on Carrier Parkway!

Decided to take my wife out to dinner and did not have a good experience here. I ve been to a cheddars before (in Plano) and had great experiences. This was our first time at this location and we expected it to be just like our other experiences but it was not at all what we expected. Our server took so long to come to our table and greet us and when she did we knew that she was going to take a long time for everything so we decided to order all our food drinks and appetizers at that same moment because we didn t know when we d see her again. Sure enough our drinks practically came out seconds before our food and then we asked for a refill on our soda and that didn t come until I was done with my plate my wife even had to ask where her martini was and the response was sorry they had to get more supplies to make it I ordered a steak and she did not ask how I wanted it cooked and when I stopped her to let her know how I wanted it she replied oh I put it in as medium no regards for what we wanted as the consumer. So many more things I can say but I ll leave it at that not a good place to go very disappointed.

So we decided to go there for dinner. We arrived at 8 pm on a Saturday night. There were 6 of us for dinner. It wasnt totally packed for a Saturday night. I ordered the fried white fish, green beans, and a baked potato. We also ordered the cheese bites, which was actually good. My food came, and I was surprised on how much fish came on the plate. The menu said lightly breaded and it was very breaded and greasy. The green beans that came with it were actually really good. The bake potato that I only ordered with butter never came. The waiter did tell me that it was going to take 7 minutes for the bake potato to be ready, and I was okay with it, it just never came. I figured it was to be expected since I didnt get a refill of my drink until I asked for it. The waiter would be gone for a while, then would come back. I went to use the bathroom and walked by the entrance to the kitchen and the floor was totally wet, I almost slipped. I started looking down at the floor and noticed that the floor was dirty, not just in certain parts, the whole floor. Bits of paper and just spills all over. The bathroom was worse. This Cheddars was nice on the outside but subpar at best on the inside. It was like the employees stopped caring about the place they work at. I would avoid this Cheddars and eat somewhere else if I had the choice again. Update! 06/15/2024. I should of known better, but the family wanted to go there. I ordered the roasted herb chicken that is a limited item on the menu. It looked good in the pictures on the menu. I got it with a side salad that was very delicious and I had high hopes with my chicken. Well those hopes were literally destroyed, like the chicken was. It was obviously sitting under the lamps for a long time. It was dry and crusty and burnt. I posted what it looked like compared to the picture on the menu. It was also very salty. The baked potato was also sad looking overcooked right next to my over cooked chicken. It was a large serving. I ate one piece and I didnt eat the rest. I should of known better. No improvement the last time I was there. It wasnt even packed when we went.

The food was greattt. The server not so much they got most of our order wrong. It is a scratch kitchen but we waited for awhile just to get our wrong meal and our meal replacement. Although we didnt mind the wait. They kindly fixed our order but we took it to go. They could also do better with cleanliness. They shouldve sweeper the floor and took care of the bathrooms. I haven t been to cheddars in maybe a year or 2 and the food I received today when I went was absolute trash !! The spinach dip, which is normally my favorite was extremely watery and lacked flavor, the lemon pepper chicken was dry, my son s grilled cheese sandwich was trash, the cheese wasn t even melted. My server went missing for about 10 mins so I had to grabbed another server to take the watery spinach dip back and instead of apologizing she literally laughed! Oh and I forgot to mention when we first arrived , we waited for about 5 mins at the front because no one was up there to sit people, and when the girl came back to the front , she didn t even apologize and had a stank attitude!!! Who runs this place ??? It was also filthy in there . Will definitely not return and will definitely file disputes with my bank if they are not willing to do anything about my experience. Also will be filing a complaint with the BBB! This was absolutely ridiculous!!!

It was just okay. We ended up not having to wait as long for a table as expected, which was great, but it kinda went downhill after that. It took forever for us to be waited on (finally had to wave down a manager who helped us quickly, hence 2 stars instead of 1), but part of my sisters order was wrong, then it took an extremely long time to get the replacement, I asked for an extra plate and ketchup that never arrived, and my entree was over-breaded and sides were overcooked and seasonless. The final straw was asking for a to-go box that never came, so after waiting 10 minutes, we just left. Not sure when Ill be back to this location and REALLY hoping it was just an off-day; will come back and update if I have a better experience.

Went there at lunch break, had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated for party of 5. Once at table it was 10 minutes later that waitress came to ask what we wanted to drink, by that time we all knew what we wanted to order and gave her our order. Watching all the staff going by at a very slow pace like they didnt care . By the time our food came some of us needed refills on drinks and had to flag down, we guess was the manager. We were very unhappy and we will never go to that Cheddars again.

Chips tasted overcooked and stale, burger was ok. Service was lacking. Our server never checked on us after we got meal. We could see the girl working at To-Go area was chowing down on food while working. Not professional. Payment kiosk at table kept charging us $3 for table games even though we didn t use it at all. Asked to take it off, it was removed but then when paying for meal it was added back on. Overall, very disappointed. Won t ever come back.

While the tables may be wiped clean, every nook and cranny is either covered in dust or crammed with food debris. Every light shade has at least a dozen dead bugs in it, and the booth cushion is nonexistent. This restaurant is in need of a good deep cleaning and a refresh. The food was hot and perfectly cooked when it arrived, and the staff were friendly.

Also, we ordered our drinks before we ordered our food and that came almost when we were finishing our food! The whole experience in itself was disgusting !! The only good thing about our visit was our waiter, Justin who was very friendly and polite. The floors are filthy. The table felt sticky the other waitresses argue in front of you about their responsibilities. I feel like this was an establishment for mainly highschoolers who are looking for an easy job. The restroom was gross. Yet we still try to order our meal and at the end of our meal upon eating everything on the plate with fries and chicken strips we noticed a hair stuck to our plate. The advertisers they brought us was a plate of crumbles chips chips was a plate of crumbles chips and cheese looks old. Went to cheddar s scratch kitchen for the first time after hearing a lot from friends. Food was ok. Had to wait for 30 mins to get seated. Honey croissants were good. Cheese curds were also good. Steak was ok. Dijon chicken was horrible with no gravy at first. Had to ask for the gravy again. Service was horrible. We ordered drinks even before we ordered appetizers. We got waters instead and after constantly for five times we were told that they were busy and drinks take time. We got our drinks even after we finished our dinner. I understand that they were busy but I don t really think drinks take more time to prepare than steak and certainly doesn t take 1.5 hours we were there to be prepared.

If I could give this place a zero I would. We sat for over an hour with ONLY our drinks. Our appetizer was at our table eventually. No refills in the amount of time that we have been waiting for our food. The food was cold. Croissants were under cooked. Which I don t understand because all you do is put them in a oven??? Our Service was horrible my husband and I, The hostess seated us to a wet table in the corner. Then when we asked to be moved, she told the waiter to dry the table and walked off. He did it which rewet the table so we moved across to the other side and waited for someone to take our order no one ever came. The tenders were dry. The rest of my order was okay, but to top it off, they double charged me and that I would never be okay with, especially when the food wasnt worth it carry out. Call to try and have them reverse it to avoid a claim with my bank, and all I got was a run around. Cheddars has definitely declined over the years as this used to be one of the good ones. Now I have to drive to Irving for good service and to not be overcharged smh. Update: Guest Services was wonderful and is going to correct my issue, reaffirming my love for their establishment and the type of workers I am used to dealing with at Cheddars. So, I am updating my review to 3 stars instead of one because of the sweetheart that solved my issue today. Thank you for your kindness.

The waitress with RED HAIR A Caucasian lady waited us did not give us her name. Slammed our bread on the table along with the extra plates on the table. A big boom! Put over our food which is very cold.It looked like I had been sitting for a good 15 minutes out in the open French fries.So cold you can almost choke on them. Service is always on point. You wouldnt expect a Cheddars to have such a positive and consistent wait staff, but here they are. Food is always good, showing that the back of the house is also consistently on the ball. On rare occasion, theyll be out of a menu item, but the wait staff cant be blamed for that. They can get on a wait during weekend dinner rush times, but the wait times are never too long. Overall, a hidden gem in Grand Prairie.

My mother was in town and my brother and I came here to treat her out for dinner. Im not sure if servers assume they wont get a tip if the order is veggie plates and water whatever my mom decided to get. I cant say if that is what caused the poor service but it started bad and ended bad. Every server name was Genesis that I could hear from within close range. Every order was missing something. The server showed up a few minutes after the person brought the food that we informed of our missing items. Also I informed her we had no silverware. The server apologized and said let me go check on it. Instead of coming back right away with the silverware someone else brings the food about 5 minutes later. Another 5 minutes we caught another waiters attention and asked her to bring silverware. The original waiter shows up at the same time as the waiter who bought the silverware carrying silverware as well. All of our rice was hard and stuck together in patches. The food was cold by the time the silverware came. I hadnt notice that my brocoli was missing focusing on trying to get my mothers order correct. At check out time. The waiter says at the kiosk let me take those sides off this order. If I hadnt checked the receipt on the screen correctly it would be easy to think items were deleted with all the zeros you see on the screen next to an item. But the total is at the top of each different order then everything below it is zeroed out. I still gave her a tip and wish I hadnt after the next incident. The kiosk was out of paper and I always keep my receipts. She never came back to the table, never said have a good day. She only observed how poor the service it was and added to it instead of being conscious enough to express empathy. We werent trying to get over on the restaurant nor get out of tipping. I waived to another waiter to provide us a receipt so we could leave. She pointed to the main kiosk near a register. My brother and mother went ahead of me and I stopped near the Kiosk where our waiter was at. For minutes she did not acknowledge me. Another waitress comes by and I asked her for my receipt. She states I have to get it from my waiter. I said thats why Im standing here. She tells the waitress to print out my receipt. The waitress needed help printing out the receipt. She printed out the receipt and looked directly at tip area and saw that she still received a tip. The only regrets I have is that my mother did not enjoy the experience and I tipped her anything at all. And to think this was my favorite restaurant. Not after tonight.
