Went for our anniversary and the place was empty, only 2 other occupied tables. Service was okay had to wait quite a while for my second beer even though it was only us and one other table at this point. The Wellington was good but small for the price and the lobster Mac and cheese was good. Wife s steak frites were inedible; wouldn t cut with a knife. Not someplace I would go back to.

Im going to give an honest opinion here, so dont beat me up. I thought the place was really nice, but not for the prices they have. I thought it would be a little more quiet, but it had more of a bar vibe. People all over, loud, tight seating like a comedy club. Drinks were a little over priced I thought, but like I said, just my opinion. Drinks were decent, but nothing to write home about. We had a few appetizers, a main, and a few drinks each. The appetizers were amazing, we had shrimp and crab dip. Main course was decent, we had salmon and bass. You couldnt substitute anything, but could order extra sides which are around $15 each. Yikes. I wasnt feeling the Dessert at ALL. we got a trio, and all 3 werent my thing at all. Overall nice place, parking is a little crowded but not bad, no wait, not a big selection on food, but enough variety but I wouldnt visit again.

Tycoon is a great place. The atmosphere, drinks, and service are excellent. The food is also very good. The best shrimp cocktail in town, but it s pricey at $28. The shishito crab dip is good but not as good as the version they had when they first opened. I would recommend the wedge salad and French onion soup. The beef wellington was good, very tasty. But it was a smaller portion than I expected for $69. The salmon is a better value.

Great news place I found. Took my wife for a birthday dinner. Really liked the ambience. The booths really look nice and the lighting rly set the place off. Our waitress was really nice and attended to us well. I had the Chicken Parm and wifey had the Double pork Chop. Delish. Waygu sliders for apps was also good

Well, I think weve found a new restaurant to cycle through for our weekly date nights. Last night was our fourth visit to Tycoon and it clinched a spot on the list. We typically sit at the bar and last night was no different. Ava and Cassie were our bartenders. They were attentive, informative, and above all, pretty darn entertaining. So easy to talk to and still staying on top of everyones needs around us. The cocktails they served were excellent and consistent. Eric, the manager, came by and visited for some time. Very interesting insights into the vision of the restaurant and where its going. You can see that he understands customer service and what people are looking for in an intimate evening venue. They also understand that you need to adapt to your audience. On this visit we shared several appetizers including ahi tuna tacos, spicy salmon crispy rice & the wagyu sliders. Every single one was excellent but in order of preference Id go salmon, sliders and then tuna. We will order all three again for sure. BTW, ask them to add serrano peppers to the salmon if you really want to spice it up a bit (great tip from Ava). That made them perfect. Word of warning, if you order the coconut cake you better have brought some backup with you. Its HUGE. Would be nice to have a half size of it. That said its delicious. Thats it. A great venue in our neighborhood that I hope just the right amount of people discover, but not too many! :-)

This place has so much potential too bad the manager don t think so and the servers suck! We went there tonight because we heard great things about them but they are horrible! The steak has zero flavor, the sides are super tiny and not good at all. The drinks were gross, literally the only thing that was good was the crab dip with pita bread. The server we had literally helped everyone else except us. My husband ordered a drink that NEVER came! All I can say is WOW! I had high expectations for this place but they are literally fast food that you have to sit and wait on AND that costs way too much for what it s worth!! STAY AWAY, DONT DO IT!!

I discovered this gem of a restaurant for brunch, and it has quickly become a favorite. They offer a delightful variety of sweet and savoury dishes, all at reasonable prices. I thoroughly enjoyed their Beef Wellington, which was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Had a great time there with my friends. The staff is very hospitable and the place is spacious and beautiful. Highly recommend. A+

Delightful! The beef wellington was good. The horseradish mashed potatoes and cream corn brulee were good, too. They offer happy hour until 6 pm, check website for details. We got a bottle of wine half off, appetizer discounted, and espresso martini ari happy hour prices. The dessert sampler was good. Carrot cake was huge. The dessert was expensive at $22, but it is HUGE! Service and atmosphere was nice. Taylor was our waitress, and Eric came around to welcome us and make sure everything was well.

Upmarket dining experience with more of a bar vibe in the evening. Tasteful, lower lit ambience. Price point is about right for a menu of this caliber. Food - high quality and interestingly broad menu options. Beef Wellington was executed well and delicious. Lobster macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach were pleasantly very light on added sodium and both very tasty. Everything served met, and in most cases exceeded, expectations. Drinks - cocktails were rich and had great depth - equally as delicious as the food. Service - it appeared we had an experienced server who was training another recent hire, and so there were a couple errors which we were fine with and expected in a training situation, and were rectified promptly. The trainer server handled an error with the bill very tactfully. It felt that the servers were maybe dealing with a few too many covers and so attentiveness was perhaps a little shy of a true fine dining experience, but pleasant and professional nonetheless.

Great addition to FloMo. Now when we want to stay close to home for steak experience we can easily go here. Does it replace Bobs , Pappa Bros etc? No but it s closer and close enough. Atmosphere is chic and well worthy of dress up date night. Bar looks great for 4somes. Crab dip was excellent but skimpy. Pita hot and fresh. We ran out of dip not pita. Rare.service was great very gracious. Manager checked in a few times as well. Happy hour drinks til 6 at 1/2 price is great. Lemon drop terrible. Sour and froth was too thick. Margarita was worth going back for. On rocks and so good. End cut prime rib moist and even had some rare . Aujus under it and too small serving of great tasting horse radish sauce. Brussels dry and not too tasty, fries pretty darn good. Salmon and cous co very tasty. Wife dropped water into dish and they brought another free. FIRST CLASS. Go and enjoy. We will again.

The atmosphere / decor / theme is a little over-the-top (kitschy art deco), though in a fun way. Despite the name and theme and the upscale touches, theres plenty on the menu thats quite reasonably priced given the quality of the food. Recommendations: Im kind of addicted to the french dip sandwich. The coconut cake is incredible too, though (warning) the pieces are colossal. Were hoping this place does well -- its well worth checking out.

We have eaten at fine dining restaurants all over the world. This is not fine dining. The service was slow. Once they brought an ordered item you did not see them again. Drink glasses stood empty on the table for long periods. No manager ever came by to check on us. The food was not good with the exception of the salad that came out as an appetizer. The prices here exceeded all other fine dining in the area. So if your goal is to spend lots of money and get subpar food with below average service this is the place for you.

Great food! 2nd time weve been to this restaurant. Once for HH and another time for dinner. They really try to set the upscale ambiance and are successful each time. Only complaint was the DJ. He was all over the place with the music, the volume, sound....all of it. Inexperienced I guess, but the waitress let us know they have different ones each weekend and he was new. We have zero complaints on the food. Tried all appetizers and the ahi is absolutely the favorite! Prime rib was amazing mushrooms, brussel sprouts and dinner salads ALL fantastic. Drinks are also soooooooo good. Proper martinis for sure! Only feedback, we dont need the whole rosemary bush in the drink! We thought it was funny. Small place good for small get together, girls nights couple date night. Nothing really like it in the area.

Madison was very helpful on recommendations and different options of cocktails and wines. It was a flawless experience and would very much love to come back again in my free time. Had dinner here for the first time the other night with my husband. The good: The decor, the music, the ambiance is all excellent, you feel like you should be in Vegas or Dallas. The bar is beautiful, the cocktails well done. The service was great, everyone was very attentive and on top of things. The food we ordered was tasty and well presented (deviled eggs, french onion soup, chicken parmesan, salmon). The bad: The location is interesting, I hope they get enough people in there because they are kind of off on their own in a small shopping building. They are loosing out on the Lakeside Pkwy action. We had reservations for 6pm on a Friday night and it was pretty dead considering what a hip place it looks to be on the inside. The menu: while everything we ate was delicious, the menu is weird. Chicken parmesan vs beef wellington? French dip? Hamburger? Just odd choice of menu items, with various prices (20-68). Id also expect to see lobster/scallops (and yes they had plenty of beef options from what I saw but its Texas, you get good beef here :) ) And the dessert. While the chocolate cake was very nice, why does it have to be so huge? Felt like I was at the Cheesecake Factory! May want to rethink that. The wine list: for a place like this it was not impressive and not enough selection for by the glass. But maybe they want you to just buy cocktails, which are for sure well done. Overall, it may work for some people so I hope they stay in business. Parking: While the parking lot is not huge, we had no problem parking our own car. They do offer free valet service though. Kid-friendliness: Not for kids.

Update: After my review I was contacted by the manager, Eric. He was very apologetic and offered to send me a gift card to come back and give them another try. I declined several times, indicating that was not my goal in posting my review. He finally insisted on sending me one, and said he would send it out within the next few days. That was weeks ago, and I have not received it. I followed up by texting him twice, and no response. At least they are consistent in disappointing their clientele. Not sure why I am giving them 1 star more than they deserve. The evening started out with a watered down mixed cocktail, proceeded to a lukewarm delivery of unimpressive entrees. The exception to the experience was a shrimp cocktail we had as an appetizer that was very good. We let the waiter know the martini was watered down, that we didnt want another drink to replace it, and that was the end of that. No manager ever came to our table to ask how we were doing, if they could do anything to provide a better experience. An email after our visit asked us to provide feedback on our experience. We did, expressly saying that we wouldnt be back because of the whole experience and exorbitant pricing. We never got a response. Everyone is entitled to an off night...Its how you address it that is important. This was an epic fail on all counts. They didnt only lose us as customers, but our friends and family. Again, we wont be back.

The atmosphere that Tycoon tries to put out is fantastic for the area. A good vibe, good lighting, maybe a little noisy inside but that s mainly due to the small space that they use very well to give the feeling of privacy but public. The food is also great. I ve been her three times now and everything I ve tried is fantastic (maybe a bit over priced ). I might also say that the menu is trying to be too much (from beef Wellington to burgers to deviled eggs is a wide range but I m not mad at it). That said, in the three times I ve been her I ve learned DO NOT sit at the bar. (2x bar and 1x table) I can say the wait staff at tables was awesome took great care of me, was personable, made sure at every turn that I was happy. The two times I ve sat at the bar were wildly different experiences. No service what so ever took me multiple times of flagging down the bartender to get in a follow up drink, or food order. Opposite of what I would expect from the two types of service experiences.

We enjoyed an amazing brunch today at Tycoon. The lovely place, conveniently located off International Parkway in Flower Mound, offers ample parking. The food and the service were A plus. We had the Steak and eggs; Prime Rib Hash; Blueberry and Lemon angel food cake French Toast; and ordered Carrot Cake to go. The steak was juicy and delicious, the potatoes were crispy and had a fabulous taste and texture; and the hash featured bits of tender prime rib and perfectly cooked potatoes. The French Toast was some of the test we d had, with a taste and texture that was to die for. We had an excellent experience, thanks in no small part to Fatima, our fantastic waiter, and Lauren, the genial, gracious manager who was generous with her time in helping us pick the right sauce for our steak and eggs. Parking: Plenty of parking in a large lot, with valet available.

We started off with the Wagyu flatbread and it definitely was the best we have had. Also ordered the French Onion Soup which was unique and alright. For main dish I got the chicken Parmesan and it was really tasty. The pasta that came with it could have been even better but not bad at all. My wife took the beef Wellington and she really enjoyed it. The 2/3 dessert was a disappointment honestly. Crème Brûlée was very good. The tres leches and chocolate moose were a disappointment. I would definitely go back ! The charcuterie board, worth it. The filet, worth it. Onion soup was good The homemade bread was amazing. However the sides, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and Brussel sprouts I would not get again. Mashed potatoes werent very creamy. Brussel sprouts needed more spice and crunch, asparagus was not cooked through. The drinks were fun and delicious! Swanky fine dining in the suburbs. Once inside, it feels like youre in an upscale big city restaurant. Everything on the menu weve had, so far, has been yummy. The staff is also very friendly and courteous. The manager always stops at our table to say hello and see if everything is going well. Definitely our top choice when dining out in Flower Mound.

Beautiful interior! Very cozy and upscale at the same time. Staff has been amazing.. once with a large group and once with just two people, service was above and beyond both times. Between the 2 visits I think we tried everything on the menu and everything tasted really good, unique presentation, and quality food. Same for drinks! Highly recommended!

This place is an absolute hidden gem! The experience starts with the valet parking, and warm greetings inside by the wonderful hostesses. The environment is inviting and vibrant, from the eclectic decor to the gorgeous glow bar, Tycoon screams luxurious speak easy vibes. I love that all the staff delivers an elevated experience and not a pretentious feel. They even have a heated, spacious patio that includes three 75 inch tv s for the football games on Sunday s! Dave, the owner, took his time with this restaurant, I don t know any patios that come close! Plenty of couch s and lounge chairs to enjoy cocktails and conversations. Now on to the MENU!! They offer so many extravagant dishes including: Beef Wellington, a dish Gordon Ramsay would approve; 32oz Tomahawk Steak along with A5 and other premium cuts of beef that they butcher fresh by the head chef Orlando; and one of my personal favorites (their new special) The AMAZING French Dip!! Did I mention their cocktail happy hour?! It s the best happy hour in Flower Mound!! All cocktails and martinis are half off from 4-6pm Monday-Thursday making the drinks $8!! Tycoon is really nice. I stopped by for a drink with a friend and was surprised when I walked in. A beautiful bar area with upscale drinks, small but classy dining area that works well with the bar. The menu looks amazing. They have dishes like Beef Wellington, tomahawk steaks, and even A5 wagyu. Hope I can return to review the food.

My friends and I met for brunch at Tycoon after hearing so much about it online. We wanted a cozy place to visit and celebrate our yearly ornament exchange. This place checked all of the boxes and so much more. We were greeted by Cori , the manager. He was warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a cool, low key vibe and the music matched the cool factor perfectly. Our server Satima, could not have been more helpful with the menu and answering our questions. She was always there when we needed something. But she also gave us our time to visit and didn t hover. A perfect person to have serve us a delicious brunch. The food was good the drinks even better! It was a perfect girlfriend get together and we will definitely be back! Thank you Cori and Satima!

Came here with my husband on a Friday night. We were checked on multiple times by our waiter, manager, and I think(?) owner. Everyone was very friendly and eager to help. We held my husband s surprise 40th in their back room and it went without a hitch! Management was extremely responsive leading up to the event, working with me on a curated menu and logistics. Love the beautiful setting, friendly elegant atmosphere and such amazing charcuterie boards! You must try these! Great wine selection and food pairings. Best of all it is the perfect stop for delicious food on the way to or from DFW airport! So nice to leave a little early, beat traffic, relax while having a nice savory dinner and really good wine minutes from the airport and essentially pay less or about the same as the fast food at the airport. Also nice stop after a long flight for a really good meal. Vegetarian options: They had a nice variety of vegan, gluten and basically all kinds of diets. Today we visited Tycoon in Flower Mound. The food and service was outstanding. Started with Crab dip, then we had the Crab Bisque and Onion Soup. All was terrific. Highly recommend the Crab Bisque. For the main we had Beef Wellington and Ribeye. They were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Its a small intimate place, maybe 20 tables and a really nice bar. The service was top notch. Our server Felix was greatness. Such a great place for a date night or special occasion.

Came for brunch with a group of friends and had excellent service by Felix. they had a $20 bottle mimosa special that we took advantage of. the eggs Benedict were super tasty with a layer of avocado spread. easily subbed out the fruit for yummy fingerling potatoes! my one friend got nashville style hot chicken on top of a maple glazed doughnut - she was in heaven! posted below was the tasty skillet breakfast! to end it all our water brought us a huge chunk of made in-house coconut layered cake with passion fruit - one of the best cakes Ive ever eaten. highly recommend this spot for brunch - nice patio as well - if the weather cooperates.

More style than substance. 7:45 reservation, wasn t sat until 8:15. Bar & cocktails were good. Our server was a mess, forgot to send our appetizer to the kitchen, then forgot to send our entrees to the kitchen. We didn t start eating our entrees until 9:45pm. Server made lame excuses instead of taking responsibility. Flatbread Appetizer was delicious. Steaks were undercooked and flavorless. Potatoes were bland. Thai Chili Sprouts were excellent. Overall, the meal was a mixed bag and certainly not worth $250 for two people. Our entire bill, including cocktails was $400+. I should not be as unhappy as I was when paying $400 for dinner & drinks. Probably won t go back.

Our dinner started off a bit rocky. We arrived about 5 minutes early for our reservation. We were seated by the hostess who returned to our table a minute later telling us another party had a reservation for our table in 75 minutes implying we had to be done before then. I was a bit irate that a evening dinner reservation started out by telling us the clock is ticking. We planned on having drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Everything after this was perfect. Our server Madison was incredible. She helped with cocktail and menu features. She was delightful. The shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs appetizers were delicious. My filet was excellent. The pork chop was absolutely amazing. The food is so creative and flavorful. The chef is turning out great food. The carrot cake and coffee were a great finish. Our whole meal was amazing. The ambiance and decor are very upscale. The service and food are top notch. I just think it was pretty ridiculous that the hostess started the evening by telling us we were on a time limit. Why allow a reservation if they are overbooked? That was just awkward. Dietary restrictions: Many menu choices that are dairy and gluten free.

Tycoon is a great place to enjoy your evening... one of the best Bar at Dallas. Tycoon is located at Flower Mound and has a great ambiance and happy faces of all staff. They have great sitting options, Bar top, Small couches, a big dining room. Yesterday I have visited the bar with my friends and enjoyed the evening. We ordered cocktails and foods and trust me, it was soon good. Perfectly balanced cocktails, delicious and mouthwatering food. Even the presentation is so good. In addition to apologizing, he refunded a significant portion of our meal and even sent a gift card for us to come give them another shot on them. My husband and I decided to just stop by without knowing much about it, and from the get-go, it had a very high end speakeasy, masculine, luxurious vibe, I suppose all the feels you get when you think of a Tycoon including an inconspicuous front entrance. Service was amazing. The appetizer we ordered was pretty good- blistered Shishito pepper with lump crab dip, but it tasted very similar to our side of our creamed corn brûlée. But the sad part was our prime Ny strip steak we ordered turned out to be over-charred and over salted/crusted on the outside, and we ordered medium rare and it was definitely medium/well done. We wanted to love it, but unfortunately when it came to the food, we were not impressed. I can t speak to cocktails or mixed drinks because we didn t order any, but they looked nice from afar. I may come back to try their happy hour menu, as it seems like a good deal, but likely I won t order the NY strip again.

On arrival I was met with a grumpy manager who was half listening to me half on the iPad. The decor is beautiful and nicely laid out. The temperature is FREEEEEZING!!! Uncomfortably so!!! We asked to be moved to the patio and was told it was full booked, however it was not, there were tables open the whole time we were there. The food - OUTSTANDING, no complaints at all, presentation, flavour, original. Service - we felt rushed, the waitress had to force a smile, was blunt and didn t listen, getting the drinks orders incorrect multiple times. We finished eating and were still busy with our drink, deciding if we wanted dessert, and she brought us all our bills! A few of us wanted to have dessert but once she plonked the bills down, we finished our drinks and left! I will return as I don t think one server should shadow the entire restaurant and the food was really great. Work on the temperature of the restaurant and happy servers.
