Ive never changed a good review to a negative but this is my first time. Every time we come here service gets worse. This is our last time coming here. We sat for 10 mins while people who came in after us got their orders taken. Even after we. Brought it up to the waitress we still waited. There are plenty of other Cajun seafood places nearby with better service and food. Not to mention they charge for everything from butter to even selling me additional fries when I asked for seasoning our previous visit. They said they werent allowed to give me seasoning unless I bought seasoned fries. Long story short go somewhere else everyone.

Other than waiting a long time for our server to get our order and looking for him after to pay our check after, everything else was good. My family of 4 shared the 3lb shrimp combo head on. We ended up buying extra sauge. Medium with kicking style seasoning. We all loved it. Clean place and clean restroom.

i came here yesterday after a football game , i asked for fries as an appetizer for my baby they brought them out almost the same time as my meal , when i received my meal there was barely any sauce in the crab boil. I asked the waitress who was visibly annoyed with us asking any questions if i could get extra sauce she said it was $4 or i could take it up with her manager. We had to wave her down multiple times for refills we didn t receive any eating utensils. My boyfriend ordered fish tacos it was child portioned like 1 piece of fish was cut up into 3 pieces with no condiments or anything on the side tortilla wasn t cooked came straight out of a pack . My friend ordered wings with fries she got the wings with no condiments or fries they brought the fries out after we had already asked for the check. Our waiter was complaining about us asking questions to her co worker in our face who attempted to give us the fries. The customer service was terrible luckily the food didn t taste as bad.

The food at this restaurant was great, with dishes full of flavor and well-prepared. However, the service left much to be desired. Despite there being only 5 adults and a 3-year-old child in our party, we were still charged an 18% service fee, which is meant for parties of six or more. The staff didn t seem to acknowledge the discrepancy, which left a sour note on an otherwise good dining experience. Hopefully, they can improve on their service policies in the future.

I was craving fish, so I selected the fish n fries. The meal includes 5 fried catfish tenders, cajun fries, and tartar sauce. For $13.50 the meal isn t worth getting in my opinion. The establishment was clean, and service was fast. I was picking up my order so I m unsure what dine-in service they provide. I believe they re opening a location in Hulen soon. I will have to visit the Hulen location when I win the lottery. Theyre overpriced compared to other places with similar items. If I return, Ill purchase the kickin wings and seafood in a bag combo deal.

Stopped by this location with some co workers while in Grand Prarie. I ordered clams, mussles, and head off shrimp. I had the kickn style seasoning at the spicy spicy heat level. Service was great, and the food was very tasty and spicy. The beer selection was not the greatest. Overall we had an enjoyable experience.

How disappointing the experience was here, I went with my family the other night and service was very slow. Then I proceed to pay for my ticket I was charged with someones else ticket. When I asked the supervisor to refund me back the money she charged on my card by mistake she refused, said she couldnt do it, that I should work it out with that person then proceeded to offend me by claiming I was trying to eat for free. I stated I still paid for my ticket but I shouldnt be paying for someones else ticket. Then she claimed that it would come out of her pocket. Not my problem, you made the mistake not me the customer. Not ever going back. Careful with this place.

Went on Saturday for my birthday with a huge group (19 people). the staff did a great job of getting us all in very quickly despite having another large seating. They were friendly and helpful and came back over and over to ask if we had everything we needed. We ordered a lot of food (my small family of three ordered two of the specials, including the whole lobster, the shrimp, crab, eggs, chicken strips with sweet potato fries) and there were several other orders across our combined table, they were great about splitting the check. That being said, the kicken sauce (we did mild) was FANTASTIC - some of the best sauce Ive EVER had. We had actually ordered our seafood in the garlic butter sauce (son likes it boring) and then got some kicken sauce on the side. The garlic butter sauce was ok, but it needed more salt as it left it kind of bland (I think salt would have helped a lot) - the lobster was super tough (I think it was overcooked)and not very tasty meat - but thats ok because anything dipped in that sauce was helped! The crab was sweet and delish and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and not overdone. I would highly recommend the crab and shrimp - still thinking about that sauce... will definitely go back. The tenders and fries were delish (and large portion that we ended up sharing for several people across the table)- I tried someone elses garlic butter noodles - yum! Excellent service and Im a big fan - great job overall!

Their garlic noodles are so so so good! Very buttery and amazing garlic flavor! Their spicy kickin style sauce is the way to go! Big oysters and crispy fries too! The young man who took care of us was very good. We asked for a bucket and crackers for our shells and was told they had limited supplies while we watched other tables had tools and buckets. The young lady who we asked for crackers was very condescending. The lobster tail was very tuff and we could only get 15%. The sauce was good, buy have no intentions on returning.

Alright yall, this is a hidden gem, a hole in the wall for sure, it deserves way better rating than the amazing ones they have now, went their with about 16 family member and thought it will take long time to get our food, no its not, in less than 15 minutes every thing was on the table, few minutes after, all the food was almost digested, fresh, delisious and well seasoned. First time here and the first thing I noticed was how nicely decorated the interior was. Our waiter was so friendly the entire time even though we asked for more time three times. We ended up ordering a bundle of 1 lb crawfish, 1 lb clam, and 1 lb mussel with corn, potato, and no sausage and the KC tilapia with red rice and broccoli. Let me tell you, that sauce in the bundle was sooo delicious. I dont even know how to describe it. I have a friend who loves seafood and is somewhat of a food connoisseur and she says that Kickin Crab is her favorite. Its enough to feed two people, three if you eat somewhat light before being completely full. They also have a paper covering the table for messiness, gloves for you to wear, a bib, and a trash. They offer lemon slices. The KC tilapia was delicious. Honestly worth buying again or getting to go during lunch. It comes fried but a sticky type of fried with delicious seasoning. The red rice is somewhat sticky and has a light taste of the sauce that they use in the bundle. The steamed broccoli adds a nice balance to the more savoriness of the plate. Wonderful experience all around.

Never had mushy, disentigrating clams before. The first time I thought theyd simply undercooked them. This second time Im thinking that they just sell old, nasty, low quality clams. The mushiness is disgusting; the middle of their clams is like mashed potatoes and they melt on your tongue Their spice levels are too hot as well, and the actual flavors are mediocre. I also tried the trout; $17 for literally burned fish, nasty overcooked rice, and broccoli. The only thing these people got right was the broccoli: it was steamed and otherwise left alone. $40+ in the trash because we couldnt finish this second order from them. Never again. You can get better, cheaper food from any grocery stores frozen food section. The second attempt proved that their food just sucks.

Solid seafood boil in DFW. If I m craving crawfish when in season, I normally go here. It is the most expensive out of all of the other places but their quality and service is pretty consistent. When it s not in season, shrimp, crab legs or muscles are a good choice. For sides, typical Cajun skinny fries and corn + potatoes. Weekends get crowded but they have a digital waiting list now so it helps figure out how many ppl are ahead of you.

I had craved for some crab, and my daughter decided to treat me 4/4/24, placed the order paid and left. Made a stopped before we got home. When I finally got my food to eat out of the bag, the first thing I noticed was that the sauce was watered down and the Crab looked like it was not fresh maybe from the night before, did not taste like it was cooked that day. I broke one of the legs off and it have a black spot on it and by that time I was done. Times are hard, and to get served an unpleasant meal is horrible.

My family and I went here for out monthly outing. As soon as they opened at noon we were ready to eat. The seafood was good and fresh. The only thing that wasnt great was my daughter asking for a side of white rice. It was stiff and not fresh looking. Maybe thats the way it should be, but didnt look good. The manager was very kind and attentive when we first got there and waited for a table. Our server was really nice and understanding as well. The menu specials are a little confusing at first and they only have market prices at the front which is inconvenient if you re sitting on the sides and have to walk all the way up there. It s not far but a little crowded. My wife and shared a bag and some fries and both were delicious! The eggs were a little overcooked. They don t bring you tools right away, we had to ask for them which I found a bit annoying but all in all everything was good. Only beer and wine options - no ciders which would be nice. I don t know if it was a busy night or something but the crawfish/fries/the tacos/and the garlic noodles were bland and the service was not the greatest. The server only acknowledge us about twice. I recommend the Kickin Crab in Carrollton.

If I could rate this place a zero I would. Me and my coworkers decided to order here for lunch today. The total price was nearly $50 for food that is so small and portion size it would be considered a child s plate. There is no taste to the food. The Cajun fries are overcooked and hard. Not to mention, they don t even offer you tartar sauce, or any other condiments That typically come with your food when you order seafood. This place is trash and I wouldn t recommend it to anyone.

For all intents and purposes, I ate the crab legs and crawfish willingly and had fun with my partner while doing so. Service was great, it was spacious and the food was good.. Those items were the only difference in our meals (he had the shrimp only bag). I am now incredibly sick with food poisoning with the last thing I ate being this place (went on Tuesday the 20th evening). I m warning anyone to please be careful when getting anything other than shrimp- not sure if I got a bad batch of crawfish or crab but I m now sick as a dog.

Hoping a manager sees this, I have been a loyal customer to kickin crab for years, was so happy to have one closer to me at this location instead of Carrollton. However- I went in yesterday for lunch and got the shrimp garlic noodles, and wanted a side of the kickin crab sauce. The server told me that they no longer provide the sauce as a side (even at an additional charge which I have always been fine with, sauce has always been an additional charge). I would have to order a pound of boiled meat to get a sauce, no exceptions. She was not budging and said management will get onto the staff for allowing this and it s their new policy. Please change this or you will end up losing valuable, returning customers. It s sauce, be reasonable.

This place has the best oysters Ive ever had, very meaty and super clean. Most places Ive eaten at always still has a bit of dirt or sand in it but kickin crab oysters are very clean with no sand in it. Their flavors are also very tasty and not so strong that its overwhelming. My favorite seafood place to eat!

If I could have rated the service the unhelpful manager gave it would have been a 0. I came here today for lunch ordered 2 bags and the garlic shrimp dish. The shrimp on my dish were pan seared and over cooked. I told the manager that I would like them to remake it because I still wanted it. They told me that they couldn t remake it because it would be wasting their food. In other words I had to pay for something that wasn t cooked right and waste my money by throwing it away. They said the only thing they could do was give me 5% off my ticket which wasn t nothing. I m pissed that they don t care about their customers who keep them in business.

My family and I had the king crab, snow crab, mussels, garlic noodles and fried shrimp. Fabulous!! The king crab was so thick and fluffy. Tons of flavor. The sauce is not oily or watery, it is really a sauce and definitely spicy. I loved the large garlic pieces. My new go to spot for a boil. All of the staff was helpful, it was a joint effort. Great experience.

Krio was my favorite shrimp boil place but since its closed down I got recommended this place as an alternative. I got shrimp with corn, eggs, sausage and potatoes for around $35 dollars ($13/lb for head on shrimp, addtl charge for head off.) spicy spicy Kickin sauce. The spice was good and the shrimp was cooked perfectly! I honestly thought the spice level was going to be too hot based off what the cashiers were saying but im glad I got it! If you can handle habanero level spice and beyond then you can handle the spicy spicy level! (couldve been spicier imo lol). All in all, its definitely a great alternative to Krio and will definitely be coming again!

I had family visiting from out of town, and we had already eaten at a few popular or very good mom and pop places. My niece, who is the oldest of my nieces and nephews, was the focal point of how we decided what we were buying or making for dinner each night. She actually found this place online after her, and my brother looks at reviews throughout the day. It was an excellent choice The young people working in the restaurant were very courteous, patient, and professional. The young man who took our order was one of the best in all aspects of customer service that I have seen in a few years! When we left, we were talking about him as we headed home. The restaurant is very clean to include the restroom! It is also a very appealing and nice size. The food was very good and plentiful. I will be going back and telling others about them!
