I enjoy Korean BBQ and have it at least twice a month. Unfortunately my wife does not like it so I go by myself. I had been alternating between Bon & Gen in Arlington but saw Omi while driving home. I wanted to try it today in the middle of the afternoon but they have a policy of at least 2 people for the all you can eat. Had to leave disappointed and went to Gen. I am confused by the policy but because of it they wont have the opportunity to get my business.

This is an amazing place and one of my FAVorites! Im sooo bummed that they left Lincoln Square and are now further away. I love the idea of cooking your own meat while out in a restaurant, and its also a VERY healthy option for eating out. I love the tofu soup and most all the sides and the staff are always helpful and friendly! Just LOVE to go here!!

Food/meat was decent, borderline good, but I couldnt get past how dirty the restaurant was. Old food stuck to the booth walls, paper trash all over the floor leading to the bathroom, and old food stuck to the sides of the grill. Had it not been for the fact it was mothers day and I wasnt sure if I could get my family into another restaurant on short notice, we would have left. The service was good and about the only above average thing about this restaurant. *They are getting ready to move at the end of May 2024, so maybe the new location will be kept cleaner.

We went for lte lunch. It was a cold day we just wanted some soup. Banchan was included (small side dishes served along with cooked rice). What I enjoyed very much. There is a caller on the table to get the server attention and it works very well. I had the spicy soft tofu stew with seafood. It was good. A lot of tofu some seafood My friend had the Kimchi Jjigae. It is one of those restaurants where you grill your own food on your table, so if you don t mind the smells it can be fun. We didn t go there or realized that before we went.

If youre looking for a great place to go for KBBQ thats in the middle of EVERYWHERE, Omi is the place to go! It also tends to be cheaper than any of the others in the entire metroplex! Theres no self-serve bars, and no refills on veggies, but for as much meat as you want? WORTH IT! Honestly, I only put 4/5 stars for Food because of the lack of veggies and extras, but their Service and Atmosphere are top-notch! 5 stars for both! You press your service button, and they pop up, or you can politely wave down a waiter/waitress, and theyll help you ASAP! Their choices of meat are comparable to any other KBBQ restaurant in the area! Their steaks in particular, are well prepared for you to cook, and decent sized. Thin, but easy to eat! Their built-in-table grills they replace every 20-30 minutes, and they do their best to make sure that the meat you have on the grill is transferred nicely to the new and clean one. Being a KBBQ place, it should be noted that this place really is not for kids, but for adults! If you want to bring your kids with you, please go someplace else. Some of us want to go where the kids dont whine while we talk amongst ourselves and enjoy our lunches and dinners. When your kids are 12+ and know not to burn themselves, sure!

Menu does not have as much selection as some of the other restaurants like Gen, but price is the same. The side dishes were more flavorful and delicious. The Brisket had a little more fat than I wanted and it ended up being tough and chewy because of the cut thickness. We also had the short ribs and the seasame oil seasoned beef cubes which were tasty. Overall meat needed more flavor and better cuts or better dipping sauces

First time at Omi and first time having the Korean BBQ experience. It s a nice place nothing crazy but clean and a nice size. Only waited about 7 minutes for a table. All of the sides were pretty good. The kimchi, cucumbers and the bean sprouts were my personal fav. We ordered bulgogi, spicy chicken, pork, short ribs, and then garlic pork belly. My favorites were the bulgogi and short ribs. The sauces on the side were very tasty also. The service varies a bit. We had different servers which was fine but they took a while to come back by. One of the servers really helped me with trying some of their favorites.

Im a fan of Korean BBQ and always enjoyed it. But Omi Korean Grill needs to work on their preparation of the meat. The next day, after eating here, I began to feel sick. The food is served raw uncooked and is cooked by customers at the table. I didnt want to leave a bad review, but airborne illness or unclean meat is dangerous and should be addressed. Oct. 2023 - 4 Stars Came here for a birthday party and had the buffet. The meats are fresh and we grilled our food on our tables. It was an overall very good experience except when we asked for lettuce and they brought out a dish with old lettuce and brown spots. We showed a waiter and he brought out a new plate with healthier looking lettuce. 2018 - 3 Stars I came with a large group but didnt want to eat the buffet since I had a big lunch. The waitress kept insisting that I order the buffet even though I specifically asked for the smaller menu. After asking 3 times, she finally gave me the menu. I dont know if it was the language barrier or just being pushy. So, I ordered the Gal-Bi Tang (beef short rib soup). I enjoyed the soup and all the stuff in it, but it was a tad salty. Im sure that if I came with a big appetite, I would have enjoyed the buffet. I watched those around me grill and eat. It all looked great, but just didnt have the best experience this time. I enjoyed the Omis in Carrollton more.

I went to have a nice dinner with my family tonight and I left very disappointed. First of all, the food is delicious, but the service at this place is horrible. We were serviced by one Asian waitress that was so rude to us. She gave us attitude for asking her to get us refills on our drinks and bringing us some more refills on our bbq meat. I don t understand why you would get mad when we are asking for you to do your job. Especially when we are paying. She had the nerve to roll her eyes at us. The dinner had started so nice with the food and sides but as soon as we began to ask for refills it went downhill. Brought the family here after enjoying Korean BBQ for the first time in Vegas. We ordered the signature steak, beef short ribs and the bulgogi which all were delicious. Even the kids enjoyed it! For the dinner price of $30/pp for AYCE BBQ, the quality of the meat was well worth it! I would say it doesn t have as much options as Gen but the quality of their meat is better! Overall ok experience good food but it could have been better. The flavored soju was not worth it though. Wait staff was nice but seemed like they where in a hurry to close down the restaurant. We went on Friday night at 8 and sat down at 8:30 last call was at 9:15 for food. I could understand if it was 9:45 since they close at 10. They bring you a MASSIVE portion of one meat and will charge you if there is a large amount not eaten. I like beef tongue, but I wasnt trying to eat a platter of it. the service was subpar. We hardly ever saw our waiter, and it took a little while for them to come over after pressing the call button. Sometimes pressing it twice. Overall, not a bad experience. Just know what youre going into, and you wont be disappointed.

I came out to eat here for my birthday. It was my very first time going to Korean barbecue. It was so good. The amount of food was great for the price. I loved the sides. Kimchi is my favorite so I had to get 2 servings. Service was great and were on top of making sure customers were taken care of. The mai tai was AMAZING, love me a sweet drink

Came in with 5 adults and a child under 2 where kids eat FREE but thats not true they rack up their gratuity with counting him as a party of 6 $150 Bill at 18% and when confronted they said we had to pay it, kid ate 2 shrimp. We were 12 people, fully charge for all you can eat. We got seated around 8:20pm. 9:15pm they said last call. Saturday night, they were out of noodles, dumplings, egg, soup........ 12 people all you can eat they said everything we try to order, they said I can only bring 4 orders, they have their own rules understandable. But from customer point of view, Saturday night, we went out to celebrate Birthday dinner. Everything we try to order for each person, we were they can only bring limited ordered. We were all starving. They were poorly under staffed. Words cant explain how bad was the experience. We left hungry, unsatisfied. I dont know where to start and where to end, how poor was the management. She called herself Ellie, the manager. We requested egg, she said kitchen is closed, and she cant force the chef. We ordered soup, she said she cant force the chef, we ordered noodles, she said she cant force the chef, we ordered Dumplings which was brought 2 plates each time after 20 mins interval. 12 people, not even enough 1 piece each. She calls herself manager and she says, she cant force the chef to satisfy customers need. And remember we ordered before 9:15 pm before their last call. And after a while they said she cant make anything because its Saturday and they busy. ITS SATURDAY, PEOPLE GO OUT TO EAT. EVERY HOSPITALITY BUSINESS GETS EXTRA READY AND PREPARED, WITH EXTRA STOCK. They added 18% auto gratuity $70, its not servers fault at all. But due to the whole dining experience, absolutely dont feeling like tipping. Am I obligated tip now? Before I forget, all the meats were dry, extremely lightly marinated so the meat was sticking on grill more than other korean places.

First time here while visiting DFW area, this place was the best Ive eaten at by far the meats where fresh and no fat and the round cooking oven made it so easy to cook the meat up rapidly without any grease splatter, the service was very fast and efficient. Nice experience! It was fun cooking your meal right in front of you!! Got Spicy chicken, Squid, Bulgogi, Signature steak (Favorite), thin cut pork belly & jumooluk. The cucumber kimchi was DELICIOUS, it was my favorite out of the sides. Would recommend and will be coming back!

2022 Tastiest restaurant I ve ever been to. This place is legit. The service was good, the sides were amazing & overall top notch. Will definitely visit again. ######% 2023 a year later!! The spicy pork is the only thing I eat. It is the best and would be my last meal request if I was on death row . Cut it up, cook it well done and eat with rice. The best !!!
