Great event space with an uptown, artsy feel. I love the ambience of the place and would definitely recommend it to others. A friend of mine was speaking at an event there. The owner was very polite and courteous as well.

This little space is just perfect if youre hosting an event for a small crowd (15-20 people). Its cozy, relaxed and Isha was just amazing! Set up / breakdown of her tables was very easy and she had plenty of tables & chairs for guests. Isha was very sweet, always communicated effectively and was a gracious host of the space! I will definitely book with her again in the future for family events!

Beautiful event space, worked perfectly for a bridal shower. I sha was so easy to work with. Everything was on wheels (that lock), so set up was a breeze. It really had everything we needed. Nice location with parking nearby. My guests (and more importantly, the bride) LOVED it. Thank you! Highly highly suggest!

This place is so transformative! We hosted a community service project and it was perfect! I would use this for many other styles of small gatherings. Use of stove, sink, and additional back area allowed for great flow! Thank you so much for the space and support!

I had my baby shower at this venue about two weeks ago. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I loved the atmosphere, the vibe, the whole nine. This is a truly amazing space to book an event. Isha is super personable and professional. My friends and I were trying to plan another reason to get together at this venue in the upcoming year. I definitely recommend Our Urban Hippie with 2 thumbs up and 5 flashing stars!!! (Update: I edited my post to change my signature at the end of it and it changed to posting to current date. My shower was in November 2019 :-))

I absolutely love this event space! I have been to several events here. Small Business Saturday, Poetry nights and Ive also done a branding shoot here. The owner Isha, has always been very professional, timely and great communication! One thing I love about the owner, is that she really knows how to decorate and transform the space to whatever your need is. Im not the creative type, so she comes up with the best ideas! Thank you so much for always being kind whenever I enter your space!

Ive attended events here, hosted an event here and had a photoshoot here and each time the space was beautiful, clean, and the owner went above and beyond for myself and other guests. She even made a special prop purchase for my photoshoot. The space has everything you need to host an event and has subtle touches that add to the clean but warm ambiance. The location is awesome as well. The space was pretty easy for my guests to find & parking was not an issue. I hosted a two day workshop here, and Isha made sure I had everything I needed & assisted with decorating which was a HUGE help to a frazzled event host. She is always beyond accommodating. Im using the space again in May and Im excited!

I used this space for a pop up a while back and was very pleased with the aesthetics and with the owners customer service and her care for small businesses. I have also worked with the owner, I sha, as my photographer on several occasions and couldn t be happier with her work or her professionalism. I d highly recommend this event space!

I was very excited to rent Our Urban Hippie Venue for my small wedding ceremony. I had my eye on it for some time. I love the artsy industrial look the place provided. Prior to booking I asked I sha if I could purchase more time for set up and come early during the day to decorate so I could go back home and get dressed for the ceremony. Naturally I didn t want to be sweaty immediately before. She agreed to the situation and I booked the venue. 2 weeks prior to the event, I sent her a text confirming our agreement. I had text messages where she agreed to the arrangement. 3 days before the event I asked to come see it one last time to confirm how I was going to decorate. She let me come during another showing. At that time I asked her if I should text her when I was on my way to decorate. It wasn t until then that she informed me she booked another event during that time. My ceremony was to start at 5 and she had another party there from 11:30-3:00. I was very upset but I was impressed that I sha offered to set up my decorations. I wanted to do it myself because I knew how I wanted my decor but I was left with such a short notice and no time to find a new venue. I entrusted her with getting the job done. She told me to bring the decorations the day before which she later complained about. Fast forward to the day of the event. My family shows up to help get the decorations together. The previous party was still in the venue at 3:40pm and the venue was not clean. There was balloons and confetti everywhere. My friend had to run home to get a vacuum to clean up the confetti and the rest of the family helped clean the rest of the venue. Her response to my family getting the event together in time was she didn t ask for their help and she said thank you . If my family was not there to help clean up after her other guests and set up it would have never been done in time. I still tried not to complain. There was a lot of things that were not done correctly which was surprising from some who claims to be an event coordinator. She also took pictures of my decorations as if they were her own. The venue provides 6 linen tables cloths. They linen was stain, dirty, wrinkled and balled up in a basket. We had to buy more linen to cover the stains. During the event we played music which she asked us to turn down. We could barely hear the music and it was ruining the fun. We only played music between the times 8pm-945pm with no base or amp. After the event was over my family tackled cleaning the venue AGAIN! A few things were left behind (8 drinking glasses, brand new rug, a piece of clothing, a brand new balloon pump, confetti, a small bag of trash in the trash can and mop that may or may not have been broken by us). considering they had to clean up after her other guest they were quite exhausted. At 12:06 am, I sha preceded to send me 15 text messages in the middle of my wedding night about the items left behind. All of these issues could have been addressed in the mornings but she unprofessional texted me during late hours. I responded to her messages the following day and informed her I would Venmo her money for the mop and explained my concerns about the hour she decided to text me and the series of mistakes she made. Instead of responding she blocked my phone number and charged me credit card $50 which I did not authorize. I also asked to come pick up the items left behind and she refuses to respond or provide them to me. Fortunately I had a loving, supportive family that made the best of the situation. Based on the great reviews I had high expectations but was very disappointed in the service, professionalism and cleanliness of the venue. Not once did she ever mention that she could not host my small wedding ceremony in her venue or provide me with any recommendations. If she would have just owned up 2 her mistakes, been apologetic, NEVER text me in the middle or block my # I wouldnt have blasted her abt the disaster she created. If you decide to book Our Urban Hippie I hope you experience will be better than mine.

CAUTION!!! Be very warry!! Get absolutely EVERYTHING in writing. The terms are fluid, she forgets what she ageed to, and is untruthful. BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL !!! Boho Rustic is code for shabby (not chic), and unprofessional. Holes in the walls... do not recommend.

My granddaughter rented this venue and we had to clean up after the previous partys mess before we could start setting up. She also gave us a basket full of dirty linen and accused us of damaging the linen. She is very unprofessional.

Our Urban Hippie is a great event space. It s urban chic look is great for contemporary themed parties. It s also has a rustic feel and would be ideal for a rustic chic theme. I absolutely adore this space and the owner. Book it for your next event!!

OUR URBAN HIPPIE, amazing place to host any special event, I am a nail technician and this past weekend I hosted my nail workshop at this event space. The modern style owner Iesha, is unique and so contemporary and beautiful. Every guest loved the event place. Owner made me feel so welcomed and had many decorations available for us to use. Space was big enough. I highly recommend this studio place it s definitely a unique and beautiful one and customer service is amazing thanks once again.

Lady will communicate till you pay then she fails to reply or replys late and never with a answer just with papers from her so called place of business..if you can even call it that ....absolutely ridiculous . Avoid this place at all cost . Its managed poorly. Your best bet is to contact ur BBB.

I don t think I can truly Reflect the amount of gratitude and satisfaction I have for the Owner/Venue. As a professional Event Host I can tell you it s Very very Rare that you run into situations where Venues are truly willing to do what ever to make sure your event is a success most of the time it s all about money. I had a last min Cancelation by my planned venue(6 hours before I was supposed to have 50 plus guest come)I called it was available and she was so accommodating The space was fantastic the vibe was just right,my guest and clients was raving about it all night!! BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK WITH OUT THE LOSS IN CLASSINESS ! I will be using her location again!!!

Our Urban Hippie proved to be the ideal venue for my one-day pop up shop. The space was the perfect size to create an intimate, yet comfortable retreat for my guests. The owner was extremely accommodating and offered wonderful suggestions to enhance the ambiance of my event.
