Ive been a loyal customer at Dennys for years because it offered an affordable menu compared to other breakfast spots like IHOP. However, the recent price hikes have made me reconsider. The Lumberjack Slam is now $17.99, which used to be less than $10 not too long ago. This is in line with the trend where Dennys prices have caught up with, and in some cases surpassed, other establishments with better meal selections. Given the current economic climate and rising costs, I understand prices need to increase, but Dennys no longer stands out as a budget-friendly option. With IHOP and other restaurants offering better selections at similar prices, Ive decided this will be my last visit. Dennys has lost its competitive edge for me, and I can find more value for my money elsewhere.

This Dennys sucks!!!! The food was lousy, cold, burnt, and tasteless. It was dirty everywhere you look. The bathroom had a sewer smell coming from it. It was my husbands birthday and we wanted to have a nice meal instead we got the worst meal ever! Everyone in the restaurant were unhappy with their food and service the health department needs to be called out.

Went here on my moms bday because she eats free, gets there the manager stated he dont know how to do the free meal and then didnt know how to get the coupon for it. Was trying for 30mins after that my moms was like she just pay for it because she was ready to eat. So then I had to argue with the manager about how I want my food to the point my brother was like yeah she did state thats how she want her food. The manager act like he couldnt understand English good enough and didnt try to honor the free meal for her bday for nothing and the world. It was hot in the place. If you are moor/black you wouldnt get good service here. He act like we all wanted a free meal it was my moms bday she want to go there. We went on July 1st about 4-6pm. Horrible experience for us and our moms.

I would like to highly recommend this restaurant because they have very good food, good service, the restaurant is clean, nice music, hot and delicious food. I ordered a zesty nachos to go and even though it was just before close, it was still perfection! Absolutely the best nachos in this entire area!! And super nice staff! Excellent locationThe location of this Dennys is by far the best I have been to in DFW. Its where I like to go most when I want the full breakfast with all the amenities, so to speak. Leslie, one of their staff members, regularly provides the best service one could ask for. They go out of their way to remember their customers and their quality control is second to none, in general, let alone in the fast-paced breakfast space. On a related note, Dennys coffee is not simply the best there is, this place keeps it constantly fresh and Leslie will make sure your cup is never empty for long, if at all. If you want a proper breakfast in every way, this Dennys is the place to go.

It was a ho hum experience. My anniversary and my wife and went for a simple breakfast and was totally disappointed! I ordered eggs benedict it was lumpy and Im not sure what dairy product in it was bad I mentioned it to him and he asked me if I wanted to go box! I told him I wouldnt feed that to my dog! For starters, we walk in and no one is at the podium and people s eyes darted to avoid us when we walked in. Waited a minute or two before being greeted then sat down. We were 1 of the 2 parties in the restaurant keep that in mind. I knew before even looking at the menu I want to order a specific dessert item that requires additional cooking time so I make sure to follow the menu recommendations and order it ahead of time. We get our menus and it seemed like no less than 3 minutes later the server asks if we are ready to order, i ve never been rushed to order like this before. I am used to being sat, ordering drinks then getting a total of 5-10 minutes minimum to look over the menu from the time you received it. You may be thinking I am crazy because the menu isn t extensive but it s just precedent. We get our drinks and I needed a little more time which the server was fine with. When it s time to order it is extremely obvious our server speaks very broken english, which is not an issue until you can t even place your order because of lack of comprehension. He asks me to show the menu to reference my order and that was that. A moment of two later someone else comes and asks my order again (and lets me know he is training) I am guessing to confirm what it is that I wanted. When the food came out things were fine. Towards the middle of the meal when he came to check on us and I asked to order the Apple crisp dessert, to which he asked me to repeat and I did. He had already taken our menus so I had nothing to try and show him. He left and I figured he understood or he or someone would comeback and confirm. He came back later and asked if I wanted apple juice to which I corrected and repeated what it was I did want, after that he did not come back so I thought everything was settled. After about 15-20 he came to our table and set the bill receipt on the table. My boyfriend asked if I still wanted the dessert to which I declined simply because we had already sat and waited the cook time or a little less for what I thought I was waiting for. Come to find he out, he didn t understand what I said and just chose to ignore my request and close our bill out. I kept my cool and did not want to be rude because I choose kindness but if the lady who helped the first time knew he was training and barely spoke english why would she continue to let this situation go on. Of course i m pretty upset but in a situation like this i d be the bad guy if I asked for a different server simply to make sure my orders are taken correctly or even at all. A couple times I even saw a worker who was folding utensils glance over at our server when he was helping, in a way to make sure she was paying attention in case he needed help. So it seems like he just chose not to ask. I m annoyed because at the end of the day English is the unofficial language here, in any other country, I an english speak, would not be catered to. I would be forced to adapt and learn, which I have no problem with at all

Long review, first and last time doing an online order. Friday 8/25/23 I arrived at the time stated for my pickup (10:28am), I was told it was not yet ready, no problem Ill wait. After 15 mins I inquire as to how much longer before my order is ready? I continue to wait (since I have already paid) by this time it is now going on 30 minutes over said pick up time. I ask the waitress/hostess if its not ready just give me a refund. She then asks if Im at the right location? Uh yes!! THEN it was determined (after she looks at receipts in a tray) her exact words Looks like THEY gave your online order to someone else I ask Who is THEY?? Still dont know lol She was apologetic and asked if I could give them 5 more minutes to get my order ready. The hassle of trying to get a refund for an online order was going to take more time than that, so I agreed. At that point I should have been offered a complimentary coffee or juice Anyway, after 40+ minutes I FINALLY got my 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage and 2 bacon And to whomever THEY is at this location, please be careful and ensure you are giving an online order to the correct customer. They had me at BLACK LABEL!!! Who doesnt love breakfast? Dennys is comfort food to me. A big breakfast gets me right, before a weekend shopping spree! After 3 attempts server got order correct. Cold food. Hamburger substituted for vegan burger. Charged twice for substituted items. Not the place to go if youre hungry or in a hurry.

Update: This is the first time weve been to Dennys since Covid. Food was just as good but the price of the Grand Slam increased by 45%. We really enjoyed going to Dennys this morning to get our breakfast. The atmosphere was very good with a unique sound system. We were very happy with the meals and and the taste was very good. Overall we were very happy with the food and the service was excellent.

I went with my family to celebrate my grandmothers birthday because she loves Dennys and they served us more than well, the food was very delicious and we didnt wait long. The prices changed but its still worth it.

We had to wait in an empty establishment for 10-15 minutes just to be seated then we had to wait for the server another 15 min then she brought out dirty silverware and a cup with lipstick on the side. Food wasnt cooked well had to send it back

This restaurant used to be very good but its kind of degraded here in the last few months. I had vegetable beef soup and a grilled cheese. And neither one was very good. Just my opinion.
