Beautiful place to have a drink, incredibly friendly staff really doing their best. The food just sucks I don t know what else to say it was all bland, they say they make their food fresh everyday everything either had been made way earlier in the day or it was not fresh or had been sitting for awhile and poorly reheated. The Juliet in Austin is always good. I don t know man it s just too bad. Whoever is in charge of the food is failing

Very mediocre, everything tasted bland. No flavor pretty much tomato sauce from a can. Chicken dry meatballs dry, pizza just gross. Everything we had was not good. For the price definitely not worth it. Pizza from the grocery store is 10X better. Nice setting terrible food. Tomato soup was literally marinara sauce. Lasagna tasted like stoffers from the oven. No ice in drinks had to wait for drinks to be refilled. Just mediocre all around. Will never recommend. Way overpriced for the quality of food and service! Never again.

My family went for lunch hoping to enjoy a nice Italian meal. I have been in the restaurant industry for 6 years, gotten 4 stars from Texas Monthly for my previous work, and this was an unfortunate use of a wonderful location. Our server took our orders and brought tap water, and that was the last time he checked in with us. For a restaurant of this price point, you would expect at least a better filtration system. The bread was good, but excessive use of finishing salt took away from the quality of the bread. That was the best thing we ate. We got chicken parmigiano and meatballs. The chicken was overcooked, unbrined, and barely seasoned. The noodles were chewy, oversized, underportioned, and overcooked. Garnish was haphazardly cut and bruised. The meatballs were the worst i have ever had. No seasoning, no moisture, and somehow gritty. They fell apart just looking at them. The sauce on both dishes honestly tasted like Ragu. The server took our plates, dropped off the check, and did not check in with us on how the food or service was, or why we barely ate our food. Frankly, as much as I don t like Olive Garden or chain Italian, we would have been better served with better food for less money. We will not be returning unless there is a wild overhaul of the food and service. To the ownership, please review your menu and your training to better serve the community. We desperately need a quality Italian restaurant

It was just okay? The foods were all just mediocre (the free bread and the drinks were good, but the piccata, pesto pasta and calamari were just okay. We ordered gluten free, but the sauces needed some work), the servers were understaffed and took forever, and it was really loud. They got my receipt wrong so I had to wait extra long to have that fixed. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta, gluten free deep fried dishes, gluten free pizza crust

My partner and I ordered two different dishes one of which was completely inedible. Im normally someone who will eat a bad dish without making a fuss but this one literally made me puke in my mouth. We ended up replacing said dish for another one and ultimately out of three plates of food the quality and taste boiled down to meh... We shouldve cooked at home. Our server was kind enough to not charge us for the dish we sent back to the kitchen but we paid a total of $65 for literally two plates of pasta and one soda. Pasta that can easily be cooked at home and taste much better. I should also mention the pasta we got were Bolognese dishes which to remind you is essentially spaghetti but with wider noodles. It reminded me of dorm food but at premium food pricing.

Juliet is AMAZING! Went for a Mom s Night Out to learn to make mozzarella! What an incredible experience! The food there is just so fresh, well put together and so delicious! Drinks pair beautifully with each course of this carefully curated menu. The restaurant is beautiful inside with Instagramable photos spots everywhere you turn. Perfect for Date Night, Girls/Mom s Night out or just for a nice lunch. Bravo Juliet!! Also, there is an entirely private space upstairs available as well for larger parties with access to its own bathroom. Definitely a great spot in Downtown Georgetown!

I was so frustrated with Juliets in Georgetown. I made reservations and we arrived a little early to be sure to get parking. It was my husbands birthday and he had chosen to eat Italian, so he picked Juliet Italian Kitchen. The place was packed. We were directed to wait in the bar (about 6 stools in an open area to the dining room), but there were no seats. Our reservation time came and went. The hostess would shrug apologetically, but offered no updates, suggestions, nor apologies. We left and ate somewhere else. I realize restaurant staffing is at an all-time low (numbers and quality), but you have to stay in business. We give restaurants two tries, so well be back on another night.

UPDATE: After receiving a gift card, I decided to give Juliets another try and I was pleasantly surprised! The Bolognese was delicious, my sister who went with me this time had the shrimp scampi, she said it was creamy and just right! The service and efficiency was top notch. We will be returning and telling friends and family of the drastic improvement since the opening. We now highly recommend! Original Post: My husband and I went for dinner and were unfortunately very disappointed by the food. We tried the mushrooms as an appetizer and they were very bland. I then had the lasagna and the bottom was burnt, my husband had the pork chop and he compared it to sand paper bc it was so dry. The best part of dinner was the wine. Our waitress was ok, it was her 1st day so i understand her uneasiness. We really wanted to like this place.

I had every intention of eating the whole thing but had to save some for later so looking forward to it for dinner tomorrow! She got some chocolate gelato and I had a bite and it was really deep chocolatey goodness! If I wasn t stuffed I would have gotten some gelato or another dessert. My stomach hurt and I felt like I need to throw up. I didnt only because I drank an anti-nausea pill that made me drowsy and I fell asleep afterwards. I have no doubts that its the food in this restaurant that made me ill because I didnt really eat anything else that day other than breakfast that I had early in the morning. I truly hate to leave a bad review, but I m hoping this feedback can somehow help the place. Unlike many reviews I see here, my service was great. I had late lunch/early dinner on a Monday afternoon, the waiter was quick & kind, the food was out promptly. I have nothing negative to say about that experience- service was truly great for me. I m surprised more don t mention the smell, but I saw a few & I just want to say this place has something really wrong to cause that smell. It genuinely smells almost exactly like a broken sewer line (which I ve had the displeasure of smelling more than once in my life). I have a very strong sense of smell so I might be more sensitive than most but it was VERY strong so I have trouble believing others can t smell it. The food was not good. I ordered bruschetta and lasagna. The bruschetta wasn t the worst, it wasn t great but it was just an appetizer & I was hungry so I moved on. When the lasagna got out the plate it was on was so hot I burned my mouth and then my hand. Once it cooled I could only eat about 4 bites before I truly just could not stomach it any more. I can only think of one other time in my life my food was so bad I couldn t finish it. I was starving & love lasagna so this was super disheartening. A few hours later, I became very ill and have thrown up everything I ate. This was all I had eaten (my stomach hurt pretty badly after eating) so I m certain it wasn t anything else. I was very excited to have an Italian place on the square, and I m super disappointed that it s not somewhere I would ever try again.

My husband treated me to a birthday lunch at Juliet. I loved this place and you shouldn t be disappointed. The decor is lovely and in a great location in the square. The food is absolutely delicious. The meatball appetizer has 3 large portions which are very tender and flavorful, in a marinara sauce topped with bubbling cheese. The caprese bruschetta was so complex and well-balanced with basil pesto and tomato. The chicken piccata has that yummy lemony flavor and the chicken was cooked to perfection. It s served with a cheesy flavored polenta which was a nice surprise. My husband s chicken Alfredo was outstanding. Kaylee (sorry if it s not spelled correctly) is such a nice and sweet server. She was super attentive and has a cheerful, pleasant personality. She even sang happy birthday to me when she brought my dessert. We will be back for sure.

I am easy to please, where this review is justifies. There was this foul odor in the restaurant that hits you at the door. We overheard another table complaining about it, and the manager blamed the rain. It wasn t a rain musky smell, it was much worse. I ordered Redfish for my entree it was a pricey frozen fish that was overcooked and chewy. I had to use a knife to cut through the fish. There was no flavor in this whole dish, so I am confused where the description says it s spicy, because there was no spicy in this dish at all. It was one of the worse meals that I have had in long time. There was other things that were off too. We will not be back for second chances.

The bartenders Kelsie and Shannon are phenomenal and friendly. Mondays they offer 1/2 price Margherita pizzas as well as frozen or rocks margaritas. Happy Hour is 7 days a week. Service industry discount of 18%. Very accommodating with substitutions since it s a scratch kitchen and everything is made to order. Full bar. They fresh squeeze all their juices. Limoncello is made in house. Great wine selection. I had the Redfish tonight but subbed salmon only because the bartenders were telling me about how the salmon had just been delivered whole and literally cut fresh less than an hour before I had the pleasure of eating it. It was served with a blackened risotto and asparagus. Tiramisu is amazing also and not in a little parfait cup like the one at La Riv a block away. It is a whole slice. Kelsie the host also gave us a great welcome and was able to seat us on the patio despite no reservation. Highly recommend and will be back. So glad we have a location in Georgetown. I used to live near the Arboretum location. Vegetarian options: Sausage ravioli can be vegetarian because the sausage is only on top and the raviolis are only cheese. Mushroom manicotti is vegetarian as well as several pizzas, pastas and appetizers. Complimentary housemate focaccia and oil as well. Dietary restrictions: They have many gluten free options and vegetarian options. The vegan options are more limited as well as dairy free options. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: If you need wheelchair accessibility you need to enter through the side entrance on 7th St. There is an elevator if you would like to sit upstairs but you would be limited to the tables near the bar or the private dining room. There are steps to get to the upstairs main dining room or balcony.

I m so glad I discovered this place. Had not realized they had come to Georgetown. The highlight of my night was the gluten free options. I had clams casino and the lemon white wine sauce was great for dipping my gluten free cacio a Pepe. Gelato was delicious. Many more things I can t wait to try. My server Tonya was superb. The best way to check the quality of an Italian Restaurant s food is to order a classic. I got the Chicken Parmesan (with a meatball, for good measure.) Juliet does not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service at the bar was stellar. (Kelsie was my bartender.) Definitely check out their wine menu, they have lots to complement the excellent food. I ll be back!

So they have a lot of space for seating And they also accommodate for large groups. And the upstairs is absolutely beautiful. They have a little mini bar.. My server was amazing and recommended food. So the 1 star service is for how cold the food was, which tells me it took awhile to come out. Which I never truly blame on my server because if they had more servers, it wouldnt be an issue.. The food DOESNT taste good at all. I really wish they would promote that theyre not traditional italian food.. I really wanted to try the chicken piccata, But upon reading the reviews and looking at the picture, it wasnt traditional (Which was confirmed by the server). My husband got the chicken mushroom fettuccine Alfredo which wasnt good. I ate about a few bites and he ate about a few bites. We asked for our tab and we left. We did pay for all our food, but I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody. They werent that busy for mothers day, which I would think they would be. It wasnt expensive, but afterwards we decided to go to buy burgers and go home

My mother-in-law booked a 5:30 pm dinner here 3 weeks in advance. We called when they opened about moving the reservation inside due to possible bad weather and they said that was not an issue, they have tables set aside in case of bad weather. We arrive at 5:25 pm and are told we cannot be seated for another 30 minutes or so because the kitchen is behind. The restaurant had about 50% of the tables open and wasnt too busy for 530pm on a Sunday for Mothers Day. We ended up leaving and walked to La Riv Wood a few blocks away who seated us immediately without wait or a reservation. I think there is a staffing or management issue if you behind on the kitchen by 30 minutes on a Sunday at 5:30pm... If you make a reservation be careful, you might not be able to get seated when you arrive.

Update: Tried lunch. Big no from us. Service is bad. Food is still not good. Will not be returning. Original: Made a reservation online and we sat downstairs in the window area. Table and area were small and cramped. It was LOUD. My head is still ringing. Service wasnt awful, but left a lot to be desired. I would have liked something other than water to drink, but that never came up. Our server recommended the meatballs and those were inedible. AVOID THE MEATBALLS. Bread was great. Meals were decent. Husband had the spicy rigatoni- wasnt spicy, I had the sausage and cheese ravioli - sauce and ravioli was delicious but my food was lukewarm at best. We would like to have tried dessert, but the atmosphere and long wait from our server made us skip it. Would I try it again? Sure. Would I recommend it? probably not. Parking: We circled at least 5 times before we found a spot.

We were in town for a friends wedding and had time to look around so we checked out the poppy fest. After walking downtown my wife wanted the Italian restaurant we had passed so we decided to give it a try. The place was packed but the hostess was up front about the wait. We were greeted by Mauricio and he definitely made our experience worth the wait. My wife ordered a glass of Chianti and I got a margarita. We got a few appetizers (mozzarella, calamari) and ordered our entrees (pork tenderloin, shrimp scampi). Everything was delicious. We were worried about all the people and what was going on with all the businesses but this was far and above what we were expecting. I can not say enough good things about this place. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Texas. When we come back, we will most certainly make time to visit Juliet.

After reading several of the reviews, I hate to pile on, but here goes....... We visited Juliette during the Red Poppy Festival, and the city square was packed with people. We had elbowed our way around the square when we came across this place. Looking in from outside, the place was fairly empty, which should have been our first clue. However, the curb appeal, and a review of the online menu left us with the impression that it was maybe a little upscale and pricey for the crowd that was at the festival, which was why it was so empty. We soon found out why the minute we walked in...........the hostess was turning people away. Well, to be fair, she was actually telling them that there was a 15 - 20 minute wait for a table, and that they could wait outside. Whaaaaat?! The place was practically empty!!! When I asked what was wrong with all the empty tables, I was told that they had an upstairs area, as well, and that it was crowded, so they couldnt seat people downstairs because it would overwhelm the kitchen. We were hot, tired, and all we wanted to do was sit in the A/C and have a few drinks while we waited on a table. We didnt care if it would have taken us 30 - 45 minutes to get food, we just wanted to relax with a few drinks while we waited. Bottom line is that the creativity of the management at this establishment is non-existent. Knowing that the festival was going to take place, why didnt they......... 1. Create a special menu for those 3 days that could have been prepped ahead of time so that the kitchen wouldnt be overwhelmed. 2. If the upstairs area is the preferred seating area, why not convert the entire downstairs seating area to bar space (the small bar was full)? People could sit and enjoy some wine or cocktails while waiting on a table. Maybe even have some easy, pre-prepped appetizers that could have been sold (meatballs, mozarella sticks, anti-pasta plate [pre-plated, of course], etc). We would have been willing to spend $30 - $40, or more, on drinks and apps while waiting on a table. Too bad they lost out on that from us, and the 20 - 30 other people I saw them turn away. The management here is so uninspiring that I doubt I would ever go back.

I was really hoping this place would be good ! Georgetown lacks fine dining and thought I found the place, but unfortunately I was wrong. Service and environment is fine, but the food is not good (minus the salads and pizza). I ordered redfish and it was overcooked and hard as a brick. Another time I ordered lasagna, pasta, mussels, and all of it was incredibly over salted and almost inedible. Unfortunately we will not be coming back.

You would think that when a place is listed as not too busy, has most of the tables empty, and has several waiters doing things like flirting and staring off into the distance that service would be super quick. Well, Juliet is here to prove you wrong! I was sat quickly. I was even given water quickly. That is when I was reminded that we are each and every one of us alone in the universe. Incapable of being seen or heard. At least that s how it felt waiting for anyone anyone at all to come by and ask us if we decided to frequent this restaurant to eat. The answer was yes. Sadly, the result was a no. We eventually just left. The hostess hilariously thanked us for coming by. Incredible diligence. Don t go here if you expect quick service. Or service at all. Or anything.

We tried Juliets for the 1st time last night. My first impression right away was a hostess who didnt smile or even greet me for that matter. I said hello and smiled at her and nothing in return. Not a good start. It was 6pm so restaurant was relatively empty besides a few other tables. We ordered the calamari (ok but a little chewy). For our main entrees, my husband wanted the shrimp scampi but upon ordering, we were told it wasnt available because there was a large party upstairs and they were using all they had for them (very unfortunate). He ordered the clam linguini instead which was pretty good. I had the red fish. The fish was ok (not great), and the risotto was way too salty. This dish is definitely not worth $32. I love fish and would not order again. Our waitress was friendly and service was good. Overall our experience wasnt bad but not really up the standards one would expect for the price point. 3 stars on service due to the fact that we couldnt order the shrimp scampi.

I have heard good things about Juliet and was excited to try it today. Sadly, it did not pan out as planned. I went with my father and we were seated very quickly, which was nice. There were only two other tables in the restaurant occupied, and it appeared they were receiving good service. However, we were constantly overlooked and received no service whatsoever, even though there was a man very focused on rearranging tables instead of focusing on guests. After about 20 minutes of being ignored, we felt it best to just move along to a restaurant that actually wanted our business and got amazing service at Wild Fire. Our waiter, Aiden was friendly and great in Georgetown! They were already out of lasagna at 5:30pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was not super busy when we arrived. The chicken spinach fettuccine with mushroom cream sauce lacked flavor and needed way more sauce. The shrimp scampi pasta is absolutely incredible! The wine spritzer was refreshing and delicious too. We waited a very long time for the roasted garbanzo beans and fresh bread w/ dipping oil. Management offered us a free dessert due to the fettuccine lacking flavor. (NY cheesecake with raspberry sauce was divine.) Hoping the kitchen will be more prompt on appetizers next time and add more flavor to the cream sauce. They seemed to be understaffed....

We were celebrating a birthday, we were seated on the second floor, the waiter took our order for drinks and one part of the naked company ordered an aperitif, the aperitif was brought out after 20 minutes, when the second part of the company was ready to order an aperitif, the waiter simply turned around and ran away, after 30 minutes later she returned to take our main order and admitted that she had forgotten about our aperitifs, during the whole evening they never came to us to refresh our drinks, we waited for food at 1.15, my husband was the first to get pizza and all the rest of the food was brought out 20 minutes later. I ordered pasta with shrimp and it was the worst pasta, especially for the price, it was cold on top, warm inside, the tomatoes were not cut evenly, the sauce was very sour, the only thing was that the shrimp were more or less but there were only 3 of them. The only thing I personally liked was tiramisu, but even in this dessert the chocolate that was on top was disgusting and tasted like plasticine. The room was very cold 64 degrees, the music was playing very loud and the noise from the staff gave off the atmosphere of a cheap diner. The new Juliet Italian Kitchen opened in the great town of Georgetown, TX. The location is on the square in downtown Georgetown. Previous restaurants at this location kept the dark steakhouse atmosphere. Juliet is bright, modern and has a refreshing atmosphere. Good job. We sat at the front. Good thing the music guy was not there or we might of had difficult talking. We ordered the calamari mixed with fried lemon and jalapeno slices - tasty. I ordered redfish and wanted to substitute orzo with french fries, the server offered mashed potatoes, then I asked for side salad instead. My meal was a large salad - confusion understanding me. A friend ordered Caesar salad and chicken meal which came in a bowl before anyones meal. He asked for it to be returned when other meals arrived (5 min later) and placed in a plate. It came back in a bowl. The lady had a chicken piccata which for the first time for us came as a hole piece of chicken instead of a flattened breast. It was tasty. The other lady had chicken parmesan and it was a large piece. The yute had margherita pizza which was very good, with a nice side salad. I hope the server memory improves as I would like to return to try the redfish. DrB DIY @ youtube.

Friendly staff and server. Polite and checked on us enough to feel taken care of and not bothered. I would have never guessed that I was inside of an Italian restaurant based on the decor, or lack thereof. It felt like they were still trying out the venue before committing money to the ambience. They were out of several ingredients leading to many things not being available to us on a Friday evening. The Bolognese was missing something, the flavor was too bland. The chicken saltimbocca had to be returned to the kitchen. The pasta it came on was cool and clumped together in one big loaf. Definitely not stab and twirl worthy. The sauce was bland as well as the chicken. Just not appetizing. Tried the chicken piccata instead, and had much of the same experience. The lemon was hardly there and the chicken was just not flavorful, however it was juicy. I hope they are able to make some changes. Their other locations have set the bar so high, that we definitely had hopes of the same quality. They just aren t there yet.

I got an angels envy old fashioned, and the mushroom manicotti. It this pesto cream sauce that is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend got the slow braised lamb ragú and the Art Car IPA. Tonya was our server and gave great recommendations. She was so friendly and knowledgeable. I will absolutely be returning to try more of the food! The atmosphere was wonderful as well.

Friendly service. Great value for lunch options. Food is delightful , though my favorite is the dipping oil that comes with their bread service! It is a little echoey, but I think otherwise they did a great job with the space.

Wonderful dinner! The bread was so good, fresh from the oven. The pasta di mare was awesome and something we will go back for. Save room for the tiramisu. It s extra fluffy / creamy.
