My experience was not a pleasant one for some reason the waitress Tori seem to have an issue with me for no apparent reason and it went downhill from there. I waited 15 minutes for my coffee once she dropped the food off that was it no niceness coming from her more standoffish type attitude so unfortunate Because this does seem a very nice local restaurant once she dropped the check off she didnt ask me if I needed anything. I had to get up to get my carryout box. It was just not a pleasant feeling at all.

I have eaten in the restaurant and I have ordered take out food from America s kitchen. Staff has usually been short with me or co-workers, but when I called to place a take out order 06/12/2024 at 9:36am the lady that answered the phone was extremely rude because she couldn t hear me so I slowed down to talk loud and she said I am not slow accusing me of calling her retarded. I did not order anything after she had a rude attitude. It was loud as always in that restaurant, so easy to say the atmosphere is horrible. The tables and chairs are uncomfortable, the tables have always been sticky when I ve gone inside to eat here. The food is good and cheap, but it is not worth being accused of calling someone names, when I was asked to speak louder for her convenience.

Our first time here and we ll be back. Very clean on the inside and in the restrooms. We had breakfast. I asked for crispy bacon and hash browns and that s what I got. My eggs were over medium as requested. All for $11.99. Our coffee (nice and strong) and tea were $3.50 each. But we were happy with everything and like to support local so we ll be back We go at least once every two weeks. We ve discovered how to make our own breakfast tacos. Great place to swing by for a fast bite, I was happily greeted and service was 110 percent flawless by Nicole. One thing to consider , the food is not bad at all, BUT bland. Upon looking at the patrons, I can tell senior citizens are their main consumers. Not an issue at all, and it explains why alot of the food lacked seasoning. Im okay with that as I reiterate the food is not bad. I may add they had vast amount of choices to choose from!.

The best home cooked food at reasonable prices! We were visiting Galveston as snowbirds, and had eaten at many local restaurants. The minute we walked in, I was stunned by the cleanliness of the floor and tables. It even smelled clean and, yes, the restrooms were spotless too. The menu included all day breakfast, lunch, and Mexican food. I ordered a veggie omelet with hashbrowns and biscuit. the presentation of the omelet was pretty and all food was delicious and hot. My husband had a huge burger and fries. The fries were crispy and the best weve had anywhere. T The service was on point and the owner came to our table and asked how our meal was; just like the fancy restaurants. No need to go anywhere else. Hours are 7:30-1:30.

Our waitress was distracted and the cook came out to attend our table and bring us items that were missing from our order. As we were leaving there was a huge upset with another customer that almost turned into a domestic dispute. An unhappy customer started yelling and then waitress and her friends followed the upset woman into the parking lot. This was our first and only time visiting - which unfortunately left us with an unsettling experience. As such we gave a 1 for atmosphere based off this experience. We are assuming this an uncommon occurrence and as such didnt want that to impact our overall score for the restaurant.

Not a great value for the cost. While all the food was ok it would be SO easy to make it GREAT. The sausage links are fully cooked(as in ordered that way from the vendor) and were deep fried. The bacon is bulk cooked and held instead of being cooked fresh. The biscuits that they say on the menu are homemade definitely are pre packaged. The omelet I ordered was awful, the ham is flavorless and the eggs arent fluffy at all. The pancakes were good and the French toast was excellent. Oh, and $3.50 for a cup of black drip coffee? Seriously? Our server was VERY nice and attentive. Not once did a manager make the rounds through the dining room to speak to guests, he was busy holding down the counter by the register. For the cost to be $70 to feed 2 adults and 2 kids I would expect better quality. It would SO easy to make this mediocre experience GREAT.

Im going to try to do my best to give a fair review. I thought the restaurant itself was is decorated nicely. I thought the food was tasty and the music correlated with the type of food which is being served. I also thought the restaurant was clean for the most part. The food itself was priced reasonably, but the drinks were priced outrageously. A 16 Oz soda should not cost $3.99 plus tax. When I asked the manager if that was correct he said it correlated with other restaurant pricing and seem to be on the defense. I tried not to make an issue out of it and enjoy the food, but I was put off by the pricing of the drinks. Thats why I only gave the restaurant 3 stars instead of 4.5 stars. My grandson had a hair on his pancake the second one.. the man that was serving/manager I think.. told me that could not have been his employees.. but this was a straight blond hair and myself and my daughter and my two grandkids have black curly hair .. the bathrooms were very nasty and we didnt order water because my daughters water had floating debris in it .. I used to bring my own children here all the time.. it was awesome.. clean.. etc..and you would think this so called man would at least take something off the check when I showed him the evidence.. but hell no.. I will also tell my friends.. family.. and the healthcare population that I work for not to go to America s Kitchen.. you will get sick .. just nasty

We ate here today for the first time. I love this place. Talk about coming out fast and Hot. We had eggs and bacon with all the fixings. It feels so clean in there, and I appreciate that. We will be back for lunch.

On vacation and reviews for this place sounded good. Did not disappoint. Staff very friendly, food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. Definitely will come back here one more time before we head home.

I guess for the locals they like it. Chicken fried steak is a pre frozen patty. Don t lie and say it s not. Biscuits are frozen. Everything is way over priced. Pancakes were only thing that tasted fresh. 50$ for less than average food.

This was our first time to galveston and we ate here the last day we were there. honestly, had we eaten here for breakfast the first day, we would have eaten here everyday. the food was great, service was wonderful and when we come back, we will definitely be eating here again!

Everything about this visit was phenomenal! From the man who greeted us at the door down to the goodbye when we left. The food was spot on. I asked for extra crispy hash browns and got extra crispy hash browns. My ribeye steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, my husband s chicken fried steak was beyond delicious along with the perfectly fluffy biscuit and amazing gravy. I d suggest this place over and over again any day of the week.

Excellent breakfast the most traditional Mexican breakfast Ive had here on the island. Will eat here again. Staff was courteous and fast. Thank God a good breakfast place. Went back a few months later it was horrible from the service to the food even the coffee was bad, never coming back..
