This place is a HIDDEN GEM! The best and most authentic Italian food in the area. Everytime you walk in youll see a familiar face, wether its the owner or the staff. Feels like youre dining with family when youre here! (Side note: dont underestimate the desert, my favorite is the chocolate cream cake)

I have tried atleast 9 dishes and 4 deserts from Milano they were all wonderful. Im VERY picky about Italian food down to the bread and every detail as a cook myself. they never disappoint. Apps I suggest muscles in white wine sauce, the Italian flag pasta dish is a favorite for main. deserts I like them all but if its one go with tiramisu

Meh Italian food, lovely service and atmosphere. While I wouldnt go out of my way for the food here, its reasonably priced and has the atmosphere that is perfect with friends. The food isnt outstanding, but it is sufficient for Americanized Italian standards, and it was nicer than going to a franchised restaurant

The pork pt roast was the chef s special that night and the portion was huge. I really enjoyed it. Ghee meat was tender and the redwine jus was very nice. The service was great. Very attentive and friendly. We liked the tiramisu with the hint of coffee. Some people might find it too moist, but that s very authentic. Someone was complaining in another review about the salad. Well, it s a small side salad, nothing fancy. But I wasn t coming for the salad and the lasagne and bruschetta were also good. The atmosphere isn t very cozy, but the glass front with our brutal Texas sun makes it hard to create a more welcoming entrance. They had some other really nice looking specials like the lobster ravioli and we re coming back to dig a little deeper into their menu.

Gino, our waiter, did a fantastic job! From recommending the perfect wine pairing, to the exquisite entrees. He was friendly and engaging. My wife is Italian and sets high standards for the restaurants we visit. We started with the Eggplant Rollatini starter (delicious!) followed by a nice side salad with vinegarette and my Fettuccine Ragu which was a hearty portion, hot, and loaded with flavor. My wife tried the pepperoni and sausage pizza which was wonderful. Great atmosphere, clean, and friendly service. Our first time here, but we will absolutely return. Highly recommend!

I had seen this place a couple times and finally got the chance to go. In all honesty, the disappointment we experienced was unfortunate. I m a huge pasta fan and the only thing enjoyable here was the bread. It had a hint of garlic and I could have eaten more than a couple rolls. The salad wasn t fresh, and looked like something I would have made at home - however I would have enjoyed a house salad from home more than what I had here. The portion was scarce and it only had tomatoes and cucumbers. The worst part about my experience was the Chicken Bianca. The chicken was not fresh and comparable to Tyson frozen precooked. I could not eat the chicken and therefore didn t eat my entree. This place seemed to have an authentic, homemade vibe/appearance however I don t feel like anything was made in house. Very, very small portions for the price. It took over ten minutes for anyone to greet us and overall just a very unfortunate experience.

Save your money. Go to Olive Garden. I usually bite my tongue but this was unbelievably terrible. The portion sizes are laughable for the price that they charge. The salad was minuscule and the trio for $16.00 was a watery mess of what looked like lasagna. Bottled sodas only. The atmosphere is lackluster. The only saving grace were the two pieces of bread with packaged butter that we ate Manager was not available and the guy who served us did not speak English. Nope

It was too expensive for the food and amount of food you get on your plate. I ordered a kids meal of Pasta, and my boyfriend ordered the adult pasta, and the amount we both had was extremely close to each other. There was very little difference between the amount of food on each plate. However, his meal was double the price of mine. We were expecting the sauce to be great since its an original place, but it was a letdown. I hate to even say this, but Ragu pasta sauce with meat sauce is better than their original sauce Not only was the soda disappear appointment, but the lack of sauce used on our spaghetti, but very minimal. And we were eating noodles without any sauce, which made it 10 times worse, especially when you are paying for an adult proportioned meal with the minimum amount 16-$17 a plate. I just want people to be aware of what they are going to be getting before going there.

This was our first time there and did not know what to expect in a shopping plaza area!!!!!!! WOW...Agon greeted us with a gorgeous smile and an Italian accent and continued from there to make us feel like FAMILY! (It is in his genes...his roots are from Sicily!) We asked a lot of questions about their menu and he did not lead us astray; he confirmed that the mussels were excellent and the eggplant parm was brilliant! While waiting for our lovely introduction meal there was Andrea Bocceli playing in the background...and then the aroma of fresh basic, garlic and tomatoes filling the air/our senses--yep, this was not a mistake SO FAR!!!!! I ordered a glass of their house Cab wine and my husband ordered the Shiner Bock, so things were moving in a great direction--service was prompt! Now to the FOOD: the mussels were out of this world because they were plump and moist and the sauce was the best we have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May I also share they make their own bread there, so do not hesitate to dip the bread in the sauce and enjoy to the upmost!!!! What was fantastic is the eggplant was not heavy or thick or breaded too extreme, but instead to our surprise were ribbons of perfectly seasoned and cooked eggplant with a lovely, traditional sauce that was what my husband said, AMAZING!!! Between the OUTSTANDING SERVICE THAT AGON PROVIDED (so warm, and genuine and sincere--he said he has sampled almost everything on the menu and NOTHING DISAPPOINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and the music encapsulating the small but intimate restaurant, and the ... may I say ... SENSUAL and MAGNIFICENT FOOD...WELL, we can not wait to return and sample everything these amazing chefs have to offer! CHEERS TO AGON and the fabulous CHEFS that prepared our food! CHEERS TO THE OWNERS! THANK YOU SINCERELY, Walt and Tricia McCullers

Ordered the Manicotti and thought it would be interesting that they put chicken in them, was sadly disappointed though. Chicken was dry, cheese was minimal, sauce was like dishwater. Italian Trio was like a childs portion for $20, Lasagna was bland, sauce was thin and runny, half a Cannoloni and half a Manicotti was just sad. Spaghetti & Meatballs Meatballs were frozen and water literally poured out of them when they were cut open. Same issue with the sauce bland and watery. Kids Fettuccine Alfredo was probably the best item ordered and we had to add our own parmesan to give it any flavor. More than likely nothing was made fresh and everything was probably microwaved. Save your money and go elsewhere. Ill never order from this place again.

I got Linguine Vongole to go since it said noodles and garlic sauce, but I didnt know vongole means clams since there were none in the description. Update: Finally made it out to Milano Trattoria. Went during lunch time. There were 2 tables leaving so it was only our table of 3 in the restaurant. Waitress took our drink order. She took 10 min to take our appetizer order; Bruschetta Originale, very tasty but the bread was too thick for my taste. They took another 10min to take our entrée order. We finished the appetizer and by that time there were 2 more tables seated. The 3 plates arrived. A Sausage Spaghetti Bolognese, a shrimp dish and a veal dish. By that time another 2 tables were seated. My order was wrong so I sent my food back. Took about 15-20min to get my plate. Kept asking for bread. Bread was good. Nothing outstanding. My food arrived it was good but nothing special. My Italian Food places used to gauge are: Mandolas in Austin, home cooked Italian food from a friends mom, Fresco Cucina Italiana in Orlando, Vespaio Restaurant in Austin. I ate at Ginos in Round Rock (Good food but the service sucks here too.) Overall, the food was good but the service was SEVERELY lacking. Typical of Mom & Pop places but those usually have GREAT food but poor service. Closed on Mondays: Will update my rating when I can actually go to this place. Sorry, they arent open on Mondays. Was planning to go on a Federal Holiday, Presidents Day, Monday, Feb. 20th, 2023 but, they are closed all Mondays. If its not one day its another. Maybe another day. Will have to settle on Olive Garden on Presidents Day.

The bread waa so flakey and delicious we couldnt help but order 3 baskets! Milano Trattoria is probably the best Italian restaurant in Williamson County. The service is usually attentive without being obnoxious, the menu items are usually top-notch. The price is definitely fair. Ive enjoyed their pizzas, their pork Dijon (an incredible, hard-to-find dish that is a huge recommendation), their spaghetti and meatballs, their baked ziti, and their penne Italiana. My wife has had their Eggplant Parm, and as an native Italian, shes EXTREMELY particular about her eggplant. She loves that dish at Milano, she gets it almost each time we go. The one little complaint I have is with their chicken parm. It consistently seems to be overfried, causing the dish to taste just a little bit burnt, and the chicken filet to be dried out. That said, since there are so many other items on the menu that I love, thats a small bit of criticism. Treat yourself, give Milano a try!

We were out as a family and choose the spot for lunch randomly. It was well worth it, are entrees were so delicious and had great service. We ve had other American Italian cuisine but this place was well worth so flavorful and each dish tasted so authentic. The cannolis filling was fantastic! So happy we stop by, definitely coming back with the family.

It was a nice day outside so we asked if we be could be seated outside and hostess/waitress said yes and seated us outside. They ended up forgetting about us, we sat for 15-20 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink order. We had to call to let them know they seated us outside and have forgotten to wait on us. Waitress came out after that and took our drink order and food as well. When waitress dropped off drinks she let us know our drink would be comped since for the wait (forgot about us). Bruschetta was delicious. Cesar Salad was also good. We got a signature Pizza that had pepperoni, Italian sausage, and Canadian bacon, the pizza had a bit of an odd smell and tasted odd too. After two bites we knew the pizza taste was just too odd and we couldn t not eat it. We let our waitress know and ask if we could get something else. We were able to get a different dish, and we did enjoy the chicken parmigiana a lot better.

Started with bruschetta and a Cesar side salad. Yummy!! Then feasted on Veal Scallopini with a delicious tomato basil sauce and mozzarella along with perfect linguine. Finished with a very wonderful Italian cake for dessert. I will recommend this restaurant to others. We shall return and try more great food. Nicely prepared and plated. Truly a nice place to take my wife out for a great birthday meal. Thanks chef and staff!

My wife and I came in for lunch together and we ordered pork alla dijoner and the chef special gnocchi (I cant remember the dish name) and we were absolutely delighted by our service and food. Our food was authentic and fantastic. The gnocchi was light and pillowy- not the dense pellets you normally get from places that dont know how to make and cook it. The sauces of both dishes were just right in their balance of flavors and were very generous with the amount of sauce. This is particularly important for me as I feel a sauce absolutely will make or break the whole experience. The portions were generous, but not the typical american habit of loading the plate as much as it can hold. Satisfied, but not stuffed. Ending today on a mini cannoli and and a creme brulee. Will be returning several times if this is what we can expect each time.

The food was decent but the service was 50/50. Very polite when ordering but when we asked for some parmesan cheese for the spaghetti, our server was speaking in hushed tones about our request to anotherserver. Its Italian food. We like Paresan cheese on our spaghetti! Whats the issue. And every time our server went to get us anything, napkins, iced tea whatever, they were speaking in hushed tones about to request.

I was with a group of people. The server brought out a tray of water glasses. He somehow lost its balance and spilled an entire glass of ice water all down my back ruining my new sweater and inside my purse, He apologized, and cleaned up the spill, but I was disappointed that he didn t bother to comp me in anyway. Not even the manager came out to check on things. Not cool! Food was pretty good though.

I had a very negative and unexpected experience. I ordered my food online and it said itd be ready in 30 minutes. I got there a 10 minutes late and they said itd be just a short wait. Well.... much to my surprise I would be waiting quite a while so I waited in the car but they said theyd being it out. I knew they were busy so I tried to be a good sport. However, after another 20 min I came back in and they said they were boxing it now. Flash forward another 20 min and it wasnt done so I went to explain to my wife they were just really busy. When I came back in the restaurant the food was waiting. About 75 minutes after I ordered it and 45 minutes after the time they said itd be ready. Knowing my wife would kill me for waiting so long and not checking to be sure everything was there I began to make sure all our items were in the bags. That was when a grumpy lqdy started to yell at me. She said it was unacceptable to check my food here at the counter and if I didnt trust them I should have been here while they bagged it. She followed with youre just a driver after all! Which I found extremely disrespectful to any worker of the service industries, as if it was okay or acceptable to treat a driver like that. I asked her where I could check my food and she said go to the bar. This was puzzling because thay was only 5 ft from where I was checking my food but I went to the bar. By this point many people turned to see what all the yelling was about. My initial inclination was to yell back at her but I didnt want to cause a scene and I tried so hard to give her and this restaurant the benefit of the doubt - maybe just a busy stressful night, maybe just caught them at a bad time.... maybe just accidentally set her off with the wrong thing at the wrong time. After I checked my food and saw it was all there i quietly asked the person who yelled at me if they were the manager or hostess and she replied thay she was Rose, the owner. I told her I thought she was strangely and unacceptably rude towards a customer and it didnt make sense. I always check my food since Ive been disappointed missing an item or two all too often. She replied, angrily and loud as before, that if I didnt like it I could feel free not to return. Then she tried to say she was liable for the food burning me if I checked it too soon. Again, somewhat puzzling. I waited 2 weeks before posting this because I didnt want to write it in anger, but it was almost surreal at how angry and unexpected this was. As far as the food: my pasta trio was very so-so, and my wife had the baked ziti which she described as just ok. My son had buttered noodles which felt more like drowned butter noodles - extremely greasy though acceptable. My other son had fettucini Alfredo which was also just ok. I didnt try the pizza though I can honestly say it did look delicious. However, the typical pasta dishes that we ordered were far too low end of average to get again, even if it were cheap food and it was somewhat pricey on top of all that. With respect to the owners attitude, I hope she can turn that around because the other workers seemed to be hard working and genuine and aside from the owners disrespectful attitude, the place seemed to have a decent ambience. Overall 2/5 stars for the food but 0/5 for the disrespectful interaction with the owner.

BAD EXPERIENCE! My husband and I placed our orders and waited about 45 minutes. There were only about three tables with people, some were already eating. The waiter brough us a salad and said shell bring us bread. We ordered them with the dressing on the side, however, they had the dressing on them. We waited for the bread. A party of three sat at the table next to us about 10 minutes after our arrival. and they got their bread in a few minutes. Our bread arrived about 5 minutes after the entre arrived. My husband is a vegetarian and had ordered the meal w/o meat. and it had meat chunks. They provided a new corrected serving about 15 minutes later. My husband was unable to eat and we had to take it with us because we had been there for over an hour and needed to get back on the road. BAD SERVICE NO TIP!

My husband got the the veil something with a mushroom brandy sauce, but could only taste the flour in the sauce. And compared it to cafeteria food.

When I began to eat my lasagna I found this large sharp piece of plastic in the lasagna. I m not sure what it was, I did however loose my appetite as soon as I found it luckily it did not cut me as it was sharp enough to. If you order from here make sure you check your food as they leave broken pieces of plastic in the food. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would.

Average at best. The decor was nice and staff were friendly, but the positives run out about there. I noticed the clientele had a median age of about 85,which isnt bad in itself, but I realized why when the food came. If your goal is to find food that is as bland and lively as day old white bread, this is the place. We tried the chef special: pesto chicken and spouse had the mushroom shrimp pasta. My pesto chicken came out as a pesto soup with bits of bland chicken drowning in the muck. The shrimp were large, but the mushrooms tasted like they were from a can. Surprising since were so close to many farms... The bread was good, but they never brought more after repeated requests. Unfortunately, this place has too many misses in the taste department. They will need a serious revamp of recipes and fresh ingredients to stay with the times. Will try again in a year or 2 to see if it gets any better.

Really not very good. I went with a 3 because the older reviews look promising and maybe we had new cooks in the kitchen or just an overall off day for food on our visit. I also know were picky, so hometown restaurants get graded on a curve: There may be good dishes there, but we did not find them and wont be back to figure out what those dishes are. However, our one bad experience shouldnt deserve a 1- or 2- star review unless its like abysmally bad. Heres what we had and what we thought. Bruschetta: bread was oily, nowhere near enough basil with the tomato/mozzarella. Really just bland and boring. Caesar: flat, metallic/processed dressing. House salad: dressing was the one bright spot. Pretty sure it wasnt house-made, but still a decent flavor Gorgonzola tortellini: dont know how gorgonzola can be bland, but it was. Tortellini was less overcooked than the ravioli, but still flavorless Butternut squash ravioli in sage brown butter: this was absolutely awful. Like pasty, overcooked, bland pasta filled with pumpkin pie filling and topped with bland gravy. This was not a brown butter sage sauce - it had the consistency, appearance, and flavor of really bland turkey gravy. They said it tasted like a pumpkin spice latte, so I assumed that was more about the spice and not the sweetness. I was wrong. I love butternut squash ravioli everywhere Ive ever eaten it. Love it. This was so, so bad. Like I cant believe I got two of those down bad.
