My buddy and I stumbled on this place by chance after a hunting trip last night and we were starving! The place was clean, and the Mushroom cheeseburger with Jalapenos was excellent. My buddy got the Cuban-ish that I also tried. It was amazing. Hannah, our server was awesome as well. If you are in the Square in Georgetown, I definitely recommend.

Had a wonderful experience here a couple of months ago and have been meaning to write a review! First of all, the food is so good. The potato salad is by far the best Ive EVER had. (Typically, I dont really care for potato salad.) We brought our kids in, 5 and 3, and a tall male employee (maybe a manager?) was very aware of dining out with kids and making our experience (and our kids experience) excellent. He met our kids needs immediately by making sure their food came out right away. Its been a while since this experience, so I cant remember exactly how else he met our familys needs, but he obviously made an impression and I thank him for his excellent service!

Drinks were good and the staff were friendly but the food was not good. Me and my buddy ordered at the same time and I got my food almost immediately and his took 45 mins. My food was cold and his was warm. Unfortunately my food made me sick I hate to speculate but I feel like they just gave me food that was already prepared a while ago. Definitely go for drinks and service be cautious of food

Sadly I don t think I have ever left a 1 star review buuuut. First time at Tejas meat company . Ordered something off their on line menu they changed the menu but didn t update their online menu . lol So I ordered a hamburger . It took 59 minutes to get the hamburger ( and the place was not packed and it was after the dinner rush ) When it arrived it was so burnt, it resembled a hockey puck . I literally never send food back but this time it was not edible . I sent it back . They apologized and said they would remake it . The 2nd time I received it in about 10 minutes . Sadly the bun was completely burnt black . I ate it without the bun but I won t be back . I love to support local businesses but they have to do better .

I usually enjoy grabbing a beer here while walking the square, but last night s experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. It was fairly busy on a Friday night, and a few customers were waiting patiently to order at the bar. When the guy in front of me got to his turn, he wanted to order food for his family. But for some reason he got shot down by the bartender, who told him that he didn t have time to take food orders. Confused by the interaction, he signaled for his whole family to go find food elsewhere and walked out. The bartender then looked past me to see if anyone wanted to order drinks while I was right in front of him. I got his attention and ordered a beer and a virgin mojito for my wife. He said he didn t have time to make mocktails and proceeded to take orders from the guys behind me. Once he completed their order and took their payment, he finally poured me a beer. I walked back to my pregnant wife empty handed. I like the spot and will go back, but I will definitely avoid this bartender next time. Reading other reviews, it seems like other customers have had the same issues with him.

Stopped in with a group of five just to grab a drink on our way through wandering Georgetown. Not crazy busy on Sunday at 3:30 Memorial Day weekend. We ordered three beers and asked for a mocktail mojito for my wife who doesn t drink alcohol. For some reason the bartender looked confused when we asked if he could do a mocktail and add mint. He said he didn t want to waste the mint didn t want to waste it for a regular drink? Idk. So we paid full price for an alcoholic drink so my wife could have a mocktail with mint. Which for the most part is fine but the way he was unwilling to do it was off. We would have been willing to pay more for a normal drink and charge extra for the mint if it was that big of a deal. He seemed very committed the mint could only be used for cocktails and not for mocktails. And again not a busy environment at all. So just odd. Either way not a cool experience. And our entire party walking out was left with just a meh experience.

Don t pay any attention to the negative reviews! Seriously! We absolutely love Tejas! We have been here for beers quite a few times and we ve eaten once or twice. The drinks are fantastic and the sandwiches were tasty. I highly recommend the baked potato salad as a side The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, even when they are busy. I have never had a bad experience. The establishment is very clean and well-kept. Definitely give Tejas a try if you re looking for a new place on the Square!

Really enjoy the environment of this establishment. They constantly have events rotating from paint night, trivia, live music, etc. Also, I appreciate a business who supports and teams up local non-profits such as the Georgetown Beard Club. I just recently noticed they will be having Dueling Pianos back this summer - one of the best events I ve been to this year - and have already saved my spot!

I was looking into this place to have dinner while visiting the square and noticed that the owner is leaving reviews for his establishment and talking down on kids and their parents while acting like one himself. Actions speak louder than your words and even in the case they were kids being kids which I doubt, just by your actions of making a childish review and having a friend make a review to take your side shows you were in the wrong and you know it

We just finished eating our food that took way too long and was terrible and got up to leave and use the restroom, when using the restroom the owner came to the restrooms and started cussing at customers to get out calling women (who were customers) the B word very loudly and kicked them out. Not sure where the owner is from but doesn t represent Georgetown or the square. I know they will close soon with or without this review but want to say go anywhere else on the square and you ll get better service from owners who aren t walking around drunk

To the six individuals that wrote the bad reviews from last weekend, I will explain to the rest of these good people that read these reviews on how terrible of costumers you were. To respond to the one comment that the owner was drunk, unfortunately I was far from drunk and with TABC standards we would get shut down if any owner or employee is intoxicated. As for the reason you made the bad review; (for those who don t know) our bathrooms are close to our main entrance and when a line forms it blocks the main entrance. We had many people open the front door to observe a line from the restrooms that made it look like no one could get into the build so the PAYING customers would not enter the building. After observing this, I went up to the line and told people this was not a public restroom and everyone needed to purchase something or use the restrooms the city provided for the event. There were a few of you that decided to get a little mouthy so yes, I told you to get out. See, as the owner of a private establishment we have the right to kick anyone out. And since you felt entitled to use a restroom that you paid nothing to use, I can remove you from the establishment. By the way there was a sign posted that said no public restroom, so you broke the rules right off the bat. Also might I add, your group of 6 or 7 (funny how that the same amount of bad reviews we got that day) were very mouthy when you guys got outside of our building and were cursing at our outside bar staff and throwing up hand jester. I had to get a police officer to make sure your group walked away. Which by the way, if you come to poppy fest every year you would know that the police, fire and EMT always set their tent up in front of Tejas each year. We don t need to have them in front of Tejas for fights that s where the city puts them! We had multiple thousand of people that came through our establishment over poppy fest weekend and only your group complained. There were multiple comments in each of your review that you will never go back to Tejas, fair enough you re not welcome back . We have many regular customers and we are always friendly and respectful to all, until we have groups like you guys come in to be idiots. As for not carrying about the community, that one is funny because you really don t know us. We are very active in the community, from helping with schools, veteran organizations, community activities and more. As for all the other comments on how we are terrible business owners, which I own multiple business, and our attitude towards women, etc these comments are not worth the time to respond. Also, I m not really sure how tall I am makes a difference in your complaint? Look, here is the bottom line, you got called out and none of you are use to that. Maybe your mommy and daddy should have told you NO more when you were a kid. Well the way your group acted Saturday, you all are still kids.

I would start off by giving this place no stars. Tejas has disrespectful, ignorant, immature and lazy employees here. My family and I come to the poppy fest every year and last night we purchased from Teja s and the so called owner disrespected me by yelling at me waiting in the line to use the restroom. He was cussing at me when I was not talking to him at all. He was cussing at little kids and all woman especially. He then yelled and cussed at us walking out of the facility. I will NEVER go back here and I will make it well known for anyone that comes to the Georgetown square.

Once again another really bad experience with the so called owner of establishment. About 5 10 curly hair wearing a grey button up shirt on Saturday at the poppy festival. Throughout the day making drunken insults and remarks at everyone in the restroom line mostly at women and children which little did he know we were all customers. My family, friends, and I watched him also go table to table making remarks and the looks on every customers face had disgust. Eventually started making scenes outside and as we made it to our lawn chairs, everyone around us only had bad things to say about the guy. Drunk all the time, unprofessional, and definitely not a business man. I don t think he or the company realizes how much business they have lost or continue to lose frequently. We visit the square very often and will never go back to Tejas. We will tell everyone about our experiences. Food is also not great and the beer is usually flat.

Would give a zero but google wont let me. Went to this establishment today with extreme disappointment, was in line using the restroom when a white caucasian man about 5 10 (and that s being generous) who allegedly stated that he was the owner of the establishment which he clearly wasn t because the owner wouldn t be wasted on the job cursing out children, holding a drink while paying customers standing in line waiting to use the restroom. I was incredibly disgusted and disappointment with the little care for their customers or human life at all.

No booths, but plenty of individual tables for 2-6 Parking: It just depends on the time of day. Its in the middle of downtown Georgetown so, during busy times, parking is scant if you want to be close, but, as long as youre not afraid of a short walk, theres plenty of parking available.

She said it was tough / chewy like leather and for some reason they used a hair to season it with. You get a bag of chips. $11 for the sandwich and a bag of chips. Plus it took about 15-20 minutes to make them. The presentation did look good. Unfortunately - they did not taste as good as they looked. One big positive - they do have Texas Pride beer on draft. Ive always brought friends and family including our children to both Mesquite Creek and Tejas Meat Supply. We have always enjoyed it and never had issues in the past. Countless times we have done this. Yesterday, was a slower than normal business volume for yall and we were one of the few people in the building. As I was trying to enjoy my sandwich and a beer, I assume what is the manager came up and said that my kids are being too loud. He said that we ran six patrons off although the entire time I was there I probably saw two. One sat at the bar that I had a good conversation with him. I believe the only person that was annoyed with the kids was the manager himself. Ive been in this place and Mesquite Creek to where the volume was raucous and loud, and it seems to be just part of the environment. Maybe you should put a sign on the door that says children arent allowed so that we know not to bring kids in there anymore. I have spoken with several other people that say they bring their kids there and they have a good time no problems, despite loud kids. Truly made us feel unwelcome there ever again.

First of all, I will say the decor was really cool and the quality, and flavor of the of the meat was really good. The portion sizes were REALLY small though and the sandwiches should be half the price. Also, we had to request napkins and forks. I would suggest making it clear where you order too. I would agree with a few of the other reviews that the service is lacking. This was our Fathers day meal. We wanted to like it, but we wont be back.

Keep walking around the corner to Golden Rule! The service is lackluster. I tried on two separate occasion to purchase a to go drink unsuccessfully. Hey owners in the overpriced Yeti vest when you bartenders are busy step up. Say hello to the customer and grab them a beer then tell the bartender to ring up. You are in the service industry!

Decent pub food, indifferent service. Came in with a group, music was so loud we couldnt here each other talk. We asked if the music could be turned down but were told thats the way we do it here. Go here if you like to shout at your friends, not if you want to have a pleasant time.

I was totally surprised to see this new business off of the square in Georgetown. I walked in not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. It is decorated with rustic / modern-farmhouse decor with an area for playing lawn games like corn hole. There is a bar area to order drinks and sandwiches as well as a butcher counter with various cuts of meat available for sale. A unique business concept for the area. We enjoyed grabbing a beer and ordering sandwiches. I tried the Texas dip ( a twist on a traditional French dip) which was tasty. I could tell that the quality of meat was top notch. A great addition to the restaurant scene in Georgetown.

This place looks very cool to hangout and have a drink they have some tables and a bar area as well as some games like corn hope set up in an area as well. Staff was friendly and attentive, and I m very glad they are open late on a Sunday.

This spot is absolutely incredible and a much needed addition to the square. Combination butcher shop, deli, bar, plus the option for your own game processing! Atmosphere is fantastic and family friendly too. Matt is an attentive, informative, and personable bartender and Tyler s recommendation of the pork loin from the butcher shop was incredibly tender and (per my family) the best pork they ve ever had! We ll be long time patrons for sure and can t wait to watch this place grow with the community!
