I was pleased to see when Garland put this park in place the community of skaters and BMX..I. E . pushers and peddlers can be misunderstood, especially if there s not a facility like this for them to enjoy My dog loves to stop by here on occasion to play a little frisbee

As the 3rd largest skate park in the state of Texas, this place is awesome. The more you are here the more acquainted you will become familiar with the locals, your children will be safe because of the numbers of people that are present most evening, and there is lots of space for biking, rollerblading, bike riding, etcuy-

I like this park alot, visit everyother week. I dont know why certain people complaining like they own the park . If you want to skate privately,by yourself, or limited people. Go build your own ramp and skate at your own home privately! Lol This is a free public park not private and that millions came out of tax payers pocket including me and millions of other people, so if its too many people leave , once again its PUBLIC I stay in garland and thankful they build this skatepark for everyone . Thanks!

Should be John Comer memorial skatepark. Thats probably the only thing that needs to be changed with this park. Other than that, the place is the best thing to ever happen to Garland. You can go any day of the week and see people from all over enjoying what the park has to offer. Id say you can easily use the peoples interaction and enjoyment to measure how successful the skatepark is.

Apparently this is the second largest park in Texas. Most of it is covered in flat or small ramps. Great place for skaters and beginners of any sport. The flow of the park and spectators sitting on ramps causes quite a bit of traffic. Hours are 5am to midnight, so you can dodge the crowd with an early or late session. Skaters and street riders will love this park. People who wanna go fast and fly, Allen is still king!

Great new skate park its huge, lots of amazing features, it was an awesomely designed park. The city really went all out when building it. When the truck park owns it will be the next level amazing. Lots of pot being smoked by teens but everyone was nice and no one was getting rough or anything like that. Even with lots of little kids around it wasnt a problem. We would definitely come back despite that small issue. If you are super strict with your teen smoking pot, may be an issue, even if low peer pressure, it will definitely be available.

Amazing place for the whole family to have fun! Brought 4 kiddos under 12- youngest being 4- and we had a blast! They brought their scooters and were able to ride around and have fun. I would recommend helmets and knee/ elbow pads for all, because part of learning is falling. A great way to spend a few hours. I would recommend going in the morning time if you have younger kiddos, because there are less people there. There are lots of covered places to sit and watch as well, and everyone seemed to watch out for one another.

Possibly to be named the Jon Comer skatepark. Garland has needed a skatepark for decades and they busted out a beast with 10ft bowl drops to beginner friendly slopes. While some may complain that the park is open to all from dogs to children, I feel it captures the true spirit of skateboarding No Rules.

Real cool skate park with smoothed concrete. Has just about everything you could want at a skate park. Its a pretty good size so even when it inevitably gets crowded theres still room to do stuff a bit. Its a free public park so the entertainment value here is incredible. There are people of all skill levels here so dont be afraid to check it out if youre new. There are some more experienced skaters here, and while most are patient and understanding you may encounter some of those who arent. Loved the park and would totally recommend if this your thing.

Don t listen to all the people who are total downers in the reviews section. Class of 2010-2015 Garland Alumni have waited for years to create this skate park. We ve skated the high school, the rowlett spot , traveled to Dallas, traveled to Allen to skate. We finally have a beautiful skate park with ramps. All these haters probably ain t even from Garland or even Texas. Every skate park has the same problems lol just shut up and skate.

Beautiful skatepark. Unfortunately there are no posted rules so you get the following: 1.) dogs running loose with their owners 2.) parents allowing their kids (under the age of 10) free roam the advanced section like it s a playground 3.) people using motorized wheels in the park (for example one wheels) Until the city steps in and does something the park is basically un-skateable unless you got early in the morning (8 AM) or late at night (10 PM). Parents reading these reviews I cannot stress this enough. This is NOT a playground. This is an advanced course for extreme wheel sports. This is not the place to let your 6 year old roll around on their new $20 3-wheeled scooter that is not intended to be used at a skatepark. Until your kids learn how to share, understand the flow of traffic, and have proper equipment this is not the place to bring them. Take them to a smaller skatepark with less traffic and less advanced obstacles, teach them flow of traffic and the concept of turn based runs. It s only a matter of time until a child gets seriously hurt at this skate park due to irresponsible parents and an innocent, responsible individual enjoying the park gets sued because of it.
