I went to the Garland Public Health Clinic for some vaccines for my family and we had a great experience! The staff was very helpful and kind. A special thank you to Nancy A. HORRIBLE experience will never go again Instead of working and trying to get to the patients in the crowded waiting area the ladies were engaging in sidebar conversations. Of course not saying you can t converse at work but when your number 1 priority should be tending to patients that should come first especially when that s what your on the clock getting paid to do.

I just called the clinic, I want to know if they take my insurance and they tell me that I have to go to the clinic in person to see if they take it or not because they cant tell me over the phone, first clinic I see that does that

Waste of time. I called ahead, asking if they had the RSV vaccine for my infant and what all was required to receive it. I was told that the vaccine was available and that an insurance id and my babys immunization records were needed. I show up at 2 p.m., fill out the paperwork, and wait to be called. Im finally called at 3:30 and led to the room for my baby to get his shot. Before they administer it, they ask me his weight. They mention that since he is under 11 pounds, they need a request faxed over from his pediatrician for him to get the vaccine. Im able to get my childs pediatrian to fax over the request before they close so my child can still get vaccinated that same day. Close to 5 p.m. Im informed that the fax was received, but they wouldnt be able to administer the shot since his pediatrian placed a request for a 50 mg dosage of the vaccine (the dosage for babies less than 11 pounds) and they only had 100 mg dosages (dosage for babies 11 pounds+). This could have been communicated to me many times before 5 p.m. that the particular dosage my child needed wasnt even available. Instead, the incompentent staff at this facility wasted 3 hours of my time. I guess not much can be expected from a public health clinic.

I went to the public health clinic to get a tetanus shot. Everyone involved in the process was very kind and helpful. The reception staff told me everything I needed to know about my vaccines since I lost my vaccination records. Props to nurse Chyane for her vaccine administration - it was painless! She recommended that I get a flu shot since it s flu season so I ll be coming back to do that. I recommend this clinic!

The worst service ever. No one wants to do their job and they humiliated my mom. I was translating for my mom and the lady up front said I know she doesn t understand like if my mom was some novice idiot. So sad to see fellow Spanish speaking people not wanting to speak the language and help. My mom showed up with the birth certificate and social security for my special needs sister to get her immunization card. They refused to help her until she brought the passport for my sister. Yes she is 18 but special needs and could not be present in person. Once I stated mom was her guardian they started questioning legitimacy and asked for a guardianship paper? Instead of explaining the one with pink and gold glasses kept lying and raising her voice. Highly unprofessional!

Everyone at the clinic is professional, friendly, and caring and goes above and beyond to make kids comfortable when they are getting their vaccines. Great service and I would recommend the Garland clinic to all parents getting their children vaccinated.

This is a public health clinic and it is terrible. No one wants to do their job. They didn t take our insurance from the school district and wouldn t let me pay cash for my son s vaccination. I m confused as to how kids are supposed to get their vaccines if a public health clinic refuses them. This is an absolute disgrace. Please don t take your kids here.

Front office lady with blonde highlights in her hair treated me so bad. She is not respectful. I m asking her and she directly stopped me and never listened to my questions. The Nurse was so nice she was incredibly kind and quick. Absolutely there should be a change for the front office lady . My visit was on 02/24/2023.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR PEACE CORPS OR ANY KIND OF VACCINE-REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM. You wont be able to get reimbursed because they dont do itemized receipts. The staff is great, though! Do expect a long wait time.

Such a slow process they even have a notice on the window that says we cannot give you a wait time.. whoever is running this place is so neglectful towards these babies mothers and anyone that walks in here.. once they call you it takes 5 minutes in the back and you re out the door. They don t have a helping approach all the staff I wonder why they re working here if they don t seem to enjoy it. Maybe no one else would hire these ppl that have no regards towards serving the community..

The two times I was treated, the treatment was very friendly and courteous, the only bad point was that when you call to ask the cost of the vaccines, they dont specify it and you arrive at the clinic and it is another cost, but otherwise everything was very good.

Today I brought my two kids for vaccinations as requested by their school ! The front desk staffs were amazingly professional and one nurse who served my elder son ,she is outstandingly courteous,genius and absolutely kind however the second nurse who served my younger kid was not satisfied !!!! All fingers are not same Cheers !!!

Staff doesnt care about order.No order at all if you go there you should take almost 2 hours to spend there waiting. We came early but they somehow missed us. We came here at 3pm , now it 5 pm and all who came after me left.Also, interestingly they didnt miss us to call for payment. How would you feel?

We are writing this to express our sincere thankfulness to Kent Manton for what you did for me and my Husband Thomas on a very windy, cold day when we were in for our shot, we were in a wrong place, wrong building but you have noticed it is too cold for us to go to the other building. The attention is too poor, plus the staff that works there is eating, the waiting time is almost 4 hours and there were only 3 people waiting to be attended to. You should take considerations with the public, I see that since we are low-income people and we are Hispanic The service is bad... I also see that the staff serving is Hispanic, I see that there is no supervision from anyone there...

Worse service experience at this place the front desk team of 3 ladys dont even care if you waited for 1 hour of 5 hours they just don care at all to work at this clinic I wait 5 hours to get service at this place and the only answer was if I need to come tomorrow I was welcome to and if I want to bring my lunch its fine because I was going to wait longer because they are busy all day that is unprofessional just because is a low cost clinic doesnt give the right to treat people wrong and some other people have complained and they didnt even care.

I love this place so much. Ive been to other health clinics but this is the best Ive been to. I just finished getting immunized for school right there right now and its the best. The lady who gave me by my shots was so nice and she talked me through it all. It was really awesome.

07/08/21: I took my brother here to get a copy of his COVID-19 vaccination record. No one was inside other than the employees. Everything was fast and easy. We were probably there for 5 minutes tops. It was definitely fast, efficient , and uncomplicated service for this easy request from the City of Garland. Thanks!

If I could put zero stars I would. The staff is useless, couldn t even print one paper for my 4 year old. Horrible experience!!! They don t give people the time of day to be helpful as they should be doing. If you don t like your job then don t work there!!! Period!

I was stressing because of the timing, with Covid-19 in general and then school immunizations and registration. My attempts to schedule with other clinics and Drs were frustrating and left me feeling helpless. When I contacted Garlands clinic, the receptionist was polite and answered my questions. At the clinic, the process took about an hour total. Our nurse was nice and comforted my nervous son yet delivered the three shots professionally. Overall, the process to get my son immunized was straightforward, easy and relatively quick. I want to extend my Thanks to the staff!
