Theres so many fleas and ticks there just one walk with my dog and she got covered with fleas and picked up at least 3 ticks!!!

There is dog poop everywhere... Even though there are plastic bags to pick up your dog poop and throw it out in the trash can, people dont Care and dont follow the park rules. Also people are bringing small dogs in the Big dogs area, sometimes causing dog fights.

I love taking my dog out here to play with other dogs Dog-friendliness: Plenty of different dog breeds that are mostly friendly to each other. Picnic area: They have tables and park benches inside the park to sit on. I wouldnt recommend eating a picnic here cause of all the dogs that will smell the food hahaha

Great place to take your dogs for a run or be playful with other animals dogs recommend it if you love dogs and if you have done check it out is a good atmosphere Playground: Great for dogs. Toilets: Their is none. Dog-friendliness: Is definitely awesome.

I had never visited a dog park, I really liked it. I have a small dog, and the good thing about this park is that it divides large dogs and small dogs. It needs a little maintenance but our dogs dont mind. In order to live with all the dogs there. Recommended.

Needs some attention on the small dogs area are alot of stickers that stick to dogs paws and cant walk cause it hurts them.. there no restrooms for us to use so thats an inconvinience

I am only in town for work and brought my dog. Sizable, nice dog park but of course has the people that don t pick up after their dogs like many dog parks. Take your dog here, you ll like it.

Went there yesterday hoping to get my girl Bella some new friends while I am here for work. The park was closed, there was a sign on the gate saying park closed permanently, call 911 for emergencies and some other info. I wish they would keep the website updated! 6/27/2022 Just called parks and rec this morning, I was informed that the park has been reopened. Maybe get try it again later today.

I really enjoy it but I have a pitbull and he is the sweetheart but people are judgemental towards them that I have to take him to the same dog park by himself because they just stare at us very ugly. Their dogs are barking up a storm and mine just running wanting to play breaks my heart....

It s not the best dog park but it s a dog park. There are only 4 benches on small dog side and about 7 or 8 on large dog side. There isn t anything other than the open field and other dogs running around. There are a few benches that have shade but not all of them. And there s water fountains for people and dogs. Overall I would say it s an okay park to go visit.

Huge space to run on the large dog side, decent amount of space on the small dog side. Unlike what one reviewer mistakenly posted, this IS a fully fenced park where you can let your dogs run free. Working water fountains, shady spots, many benches and there are usually toys left in the park for the dogs to play with. There is a regular crowd of friendly dogowners that show up between 4 and 6 p.m. most days, and youll quickly be embraced into their dog community.

The large lot is mostly dirt, so if it s raining season expect mud. Having said that, there is plenty of space for dogs to run and sprint, and a great place to meet other breeds. Water available on site.

We visited here while in Texas and really enjoyed it. Our girl loves running and this place is huge! Theres some benches and water fountains for the pups. We were here in the evening so the lighting could be better but its open till pretty late. We stayed till 10:30 pm and felt safe. Will definitely visit this place again when in town!

Always enjoy taking my dog to the McAllen dog park, especially early morning when it isn t too packed. Friendly owners and playful dogs. It would be nice if the city could keep the grass up better but I guess that s pretty difficult with all the dogs running and tearing it up.
