Great place to do hiking during the week. The weekend is filled with bikers biking up the beautiful trails. From the entrance two trails are available left direction going towards pleasant valley road , right direction towards miller road , you can easily get in a 4+ miles of trodding. Interesting insects, birds , turtles, snakes can be spotted along the trails.

This is one of the best MTB trail I have visited. I have always liked it because it is mostly shaded and very cool in the summer because of the trees. My first time posting pictures, but not my first time here

Is an awesome place for mountain biking walking jogging seeing what reminds me of what Rowlett would look like if we didnt live here. itd be great if theres a little bit more improvement from the city honestly theyve actually done quite a good job with the parking lot. More parks and recs money to go here would be . I wish the local people that go out there and fish would clean up their trash.

If you are looking for a good place to run and challenge yourself to face uphills and downhills trails, this is the place. It has several routes that you can take to workout or just enjoy the view. It needs to be cleaned, there is to much trash around and it s kind of sad watching that while you re running but other than that it is a great park for hiking/walking/biking just don t go at night it looks pretty unsafe.

A lot of bikers, too few hikers. A lot of interconnected trails. Short hikes to hikes that could last hours depending on which route you take. Great way to ramp up your hiking mileage by stacking up hikes on a single area but different routes.

I hit this trail as often as I can! Quiet, relaxing and a perfect place to get a nice joggers high! That being said what we have pictured below is an Eastern Copperhead. These guys are venomous but rarely bite unless provoked so just best to turn the other way and if jogging with kids or pets please keep an eye out... there were two more close so if your from TX you know what that means! Cheers friends and family! Enjoy this place its awesome!

Great place to bike or walk. Lots of different trails with different challenges. Its not the Hill country, but for North Texas, its definitely worth a visit. Loops 7 and 13 offer a better challenge for both bikers and walkers. A great.oasis in the city. I have seen wild cats on loop 7, so be careful if you have a dog with you. I gave 4 stars because although I love this trail, its not in the mountains!

This is a really nice place to walk theres a lot of bikers on there so be aware that you have people riding the trails and they dont announce themselves theyll get right on your backside and scare you to death it was only a few people who announced themselves so anyhow thats the only problem I find with this place is that the bikers do not announce themselves its walking trails only riding trails only theres no playgrounds for kids theres a remote control airpark right next door where people can come fly their planes which is pretty cool one guy was doing all kinds of acrobatics for this plane which was very cool to see the trails are marked pretty well the deeper we got the less markings there were but you can figure it out its I didnt find a map anywhere to take a picture of to follow it was shaded very well Ive got to admit this is probably the best shaded trail weve been on the only problem is there are no benches along the way to sit so make sure your legs are strong and sturdy before you go they have picnic areas so if you want to bring a picnic and eat afterwards thats cool cuz thats what we did but I recommend this place because of the shade because of the cool air blowing through the the trails and things which made it nice although there were some spots where we had to walk through there were no shade at all and it was real sunny and pretty hot but if I have to give this you know a rating itd be very very high I think I gave it a five so anyhow go check it out

Awesome nature area great for on foot or by bike. Over ten different mapped trails with varying levels of difficulty. Can do anything from a 1-mile easy walk to a 20+ mi bike ride. The trails are almost all shaded by trees so great place to go on hot sunny Texas summer days. Only downside is trails take awhile to dry out after the sun so be sure you check on the DORBA website to make sure trails are open before making the drive there.

This place has plenty of hiking & biking trails for different comfort/experience levels. It appears to be a pretty popular spot for fishing, as there were at least 20 people fishing along the creek as so was riding the trails. Theres also a free air pump and bike wash station that come in handy. Today was my first time here and I plan on coming back frequently.
