It was a disaster, this gentleman doesnt know anything, I went to consult about E1 , and he asked me questions and details of my business outside USA and concluded that I wont qualify for this visa , because my trade is not with USA , It really made me laugh, because my outside USA business has nothing to do with E1, if this gentleman had any decency he would have returned my consultation fees, but he was a big disappointment.

I engaged directly with David Swaim for guidance on my particular situation to determine the best course of action. He exceeded all expectations I had of him reading prior reviews. Without going into specifics, my case involved possible filing for Asylum, education based visas & immigration based on family petition. I want to point out that I differed from Mr. Swaim in his opinions on my personal beliefs with respect to political opinion and events of the recent past of a global significance. However, he did 100% live up to my expectations of a lawyer who puts his clients first to give them top notch advice based on his experience of the US judicial system and likelihood of success for an asylum case. My case just came to a successful conclusion, and I cant recommend David Swaim and Associates enough. From the very beginning, David and his team (Rashmiz and Kathryn) were always there to answer any questions I had about the process. The process was very difficult to navigate, but whenever I raised a concern I always received a quick reassuring response. Even if a question was sent on Friday evening, I would receive a response by Saturday morning at the latest. I am very happy with the service I received and will definitely utilize their services again in the future.

I know that the immigration process can be scary if you are not well informed of what will be required to carry it out. Being an immigrant who entered the country a year ago, I can assure you that one of the best decisions I made was immediately to start working with David Swaim and Associates. Around 9 months after having sent all the papers corresponding to my case, I was able to get my residence card, and much earlier my work permit. I found Mr. Swaim on Avvo and paid $80 for a consultation. That was a fair fee. My case needed a lawyer who would fight to get the immigration process sped up and not take 18 months. I went to his office with the intention of hiring him but, I left without representation. Any lawyer can file papers to start the process but, thats not what I needed. He explained the process but, I was aware of the process. My case involved circumstances which could lead to my wife coming into the country much sooner than 18 months. Mr. Swaim quickly ended the consultation and told me to send him an email if I came up with any questions. Im sorry but, that is the exact reason I made the appointment to consult with him. I left his office still needing a lawyer who would help me with the legal fight I faced. I am sorry to say that Mr. Swaim was not interested in helping me with my legal issues. It was a waste of time and money because, I believe he is a good attorney and has the skills to accomplish what I needed help with.

As my naturalization case is complicated, so I interviewed five immigration lawyers. Many, including the ones who claim years of experience and request high service fees, are not knowledgeable. But David stood out from the rest. I can tell he has a deep understanding of the law and has years of practice. My naturalization application was filed in the middle of September, and I got an interview notice in just one month! I passed my citizenship interview in November and attended my oath ceremony in December, making the entire process less than three months. David is a great man. However, some people working for him dont seem to be up to the expectations and much of the information they give you is either outdated or easily available on the internet. Filling out forms is not the reason people hire lawyers but more importantly providing some useful communication, interpretations, follow-ups, and other helpful and calming insights into whats going on. David honestly is a great and kind man and he does all the good things but some people who are working for him are just not as much.

My most rewarding immigration experience with Tidwell, Swaim & Associates. I am still pinching myself because I still cannot believe that I am now a US Citizen. My Naturalization Oath Ceremony was on February 19, 2020. This is how it all began. I will tell you about my journey to Naturalization with Tidwell, Swaim & Associates, so you know why I must write this review. May 13, 2019 - I consulted with Tidwell, Swaim & Associates about my eligibility to apply for US citizenship and other immigration issues affecting me. - Tidwell, Swaim & Associates informed me that I was eligible to apply June 20, 2019 - Application submitted to USCIS for processing June 24, 2019 - Received USCIS application acknowledgement letter June 29, 2019 - Biometrics appointment scheduled July 17, 2019 - Attended biometrics appointment December 27, 2019 - Interview was scheduled February 4, 2020 - Attended my interview February 5, 2020 - Application approved for naturalization February 5, 2020 - Naturalization oath Ceremony scheduled February 19, 2020 - Attended Oath Ceremony and received Naturalization Certificate I was extremely happy with the level of professionalism and customer service by Tidwell, Swaim & Associates. Mean and arrogant. He almost made me lose my immigration status. The USCIS rejected the application he filed and instead moving forward quickly, he made a trip for long time. Also, his paralegal lost some of my documentation. When I made a complaint, this son of a b... threatened me with sue me if I publish this. I talked to the org where I learn about this guy and told me he also wanted to sue them when they did not want to invite him anymore.

His office is very cheap and poor . I am a Attorney at law in other county and his foreign colleague and paid $80 just for consultant fee, but he didnt check and review my documents, certificate and etc. He asked only a few questions and told me you are good for EB 5 Visa , if you have $500.000 or $1.000.000 !!? I told him please read my info and situation of my job and documents, he told me no need!!

I was a client of Mr. Swam a few years ago. I have to say hes very competent and fair. The international student counselor totally screwed up and I ended up not getting my practical training before graduation. One law firm told me that I was in a bad situation and that I needed to spare no expenses so I wouldnt be deported. My colleague referred me to a fancy law firm located along LBJ. A pretty blonde young lawyer was assigned to my case. She couldnt get her fact straight and kept messing up. I ended up paying the $5000 retainer fee without having any progress at all for weeks. I ended up seeing his ad on a newspaper. When I met him, he told me what needed to be done and what my chances were as a matter of fact. No scare tactics and the fee was reasonable. My application was sent in right before 911 happened and the application process was halted after 911 for a long time. Throughout the process, the firm was always friendly and professional. They always kept me informed. Mr. Swaim did what he said he would do. He and his firm always treated me with respect. Im now a US citizen thanks to him. I highly recommend Mr. David Swaim and his firm.
