I ve grab here a few times and they were on point with service and drinks. Today I m not sure if it is what I ordered but it s a miss for me. I ordered fajita nachos to go. The guacamole was missing and they used the white cheese that s gets hard before you get it to the table I did not enjoy this at all. It s look appealing but the cheese is too hard to enjoy it.

Restaurant was clean and servers were nice but kept rushing us to place an order. I was treating my date to dinner and we both ordered fajitas. They did not come out on a sizzling comal, they were on a plate and they were not even hot. The entire plate was room temp and the beef fajita mixture was mainly sauteed onions. We ordered a margarita and michelada as well and they were mediocre at best. The best part of the meal was the frosty mug I got with my bottle of Modelo.

This was such a nice dinner place when we were craving authentic Mexican food. Our wait staff was so attentive the entire meal and was always offering us more chips, refills, etc! We started with queso and guacamole, both good choices. For my entree, I got the Mexican Flag, a trio of enchiladas and I think the red sauce was my favorite. Beans were perfectly seasoned and rice was also amazing, not too salty or underseasoned! This was a really nice place that we ll come back and visit again for sure. A gem in south garland, I m glad we were recommended this place because now we have a new favorite spot!

Perfect location in Garland next to the Texas DPS Driver License Center. Terrific Tex- Mex restaurant. Menu has traditional choices including enchiladas, fajitas, and tacos. The soft cheese tacos with queso and rice and beans combination was delicious. The soft tortillas corn and flour were steaming hot . The chips and salsa were a perfect starter. The atmosphere is open and the service was top notch.Ask for Rudy as your server extraordinaire. A great neighborhood restaurant. The bar was well stocked too. Add this to your favorites list .

My wife and I, have been eating at Ernestos since their first location on Ferguson road, over 20 years ago The food has always been fresh and excellant Prices are a bargain verses the quality of food Over the years our home has migrated further away but we still are willing to travel at least once a month, never have we been disappointed My youngest son, who wasnt even born when we ate our first plate, considers Ernestos his favorite Mexican restaurant

Unless you re Hispanic, you probably shouldn t go to this particular restaurant. You get treated hostile after spending your hard earned money. You also get accused of other people s false transactions because of course, all black people look the same . I ordered for pick up, for myself, through door dash, and unlike the first time the wait staff was hostile, and was demanding to see the door dash transaction or even an id card. Then I was accused by the owner that the last time they had to make my order twice because I had picked it up, and that s how I know that this establishment thinks all black people look the same. That way of thinking incites racial profiling, which is my experience with Ernesto s.

After reading the reviews, I saw a few negative ones but decided to take my chances considering how many positive reviews there also were! So glad we stopped by, I got a chicken taco salad, and boy did it hit the spot! Their queso was also really good! The servers were very attentive, clean and friendly. Definitely will be back again.

Great family restaurant!!!! ! We have been customers since they were a small 10 table restaurant in the Casa View area. They are now on Northwest Highway/ Saturn Rd. They have authentic Mexican Enchiladas The Tex-Mex food is great, too! Oh, and their menudo is currently the only place in town that I purchase and usually take it to go 7 days a week, not just on the weekends. Ernesto and his family are the best. Oh, and the margaritas are very good!

Great place for getting together with friends and family. First time we ever dined here and we went to celebrate our friend Oscars 50th birthday along with his large family. Place was packed on a Saturday night. Lots of large parties dining and enjoying themselves. The staff was excellent. They did a good job of keeping up with such a large crowd in so many food orders. My wife had the spinach and shrimp enchiladas which she said they use fresh spinach but the shrimp were very small. I had the carne asada which was good but thinly sliced. It was also good but not what I would say great. Not like your Chuys, pappasitos, Uncle Julios or many of the other great Mexican food restaurants in North Texas. They serve basically good quality, Dependable Mexican food and people love this place. The people we were dining with have been coming here for years and the cook came from Mexicali which we had been a long time customers there before they closed. The one thing that we judge a really good Mexican food restaurant is by the salsa and theirs was okay but nothing special. The margaritas were also okay, $12 for a large which most plates there were in the same range. Would I come there again? Absolutely as I said its a good place to meet friends or family.

I been driving all over Garland looking for a place that makes authentic enchiladas without Tex Mexing them after I ate dinner at my homegirls house one weekend. I never had REAL enchiladas until hers but she s not a restaurant. Funny thing is I have delivered Door Dash for Ernesros before but it didn t dawn on me until yesterday . Guac is fresh and delicious, though I would love it more if there were no tomatoes. Salsa is simple and very tasty-- not salty. Mole is great. Amazing customer service and clean! We got greeted at the door and allowed us to choose were we wanted to sit. We liked that the employees helped each other with their customers to make sure they were satisfied at all times. They were friendly and apologized for not having aguas frescas. The food was delicious, well served and the perfect temperature. After several hints on their menu we guessed they were from Monterrey Mexico, we asked one of our servers and we were right, we can t wait to go back and try their tostadas siberia!

We have been going to this restaurant for years now, even at the previous location. The food has always been excellent, the service can sometimes be iffy when trying to get the bill to pay but all the staff is very welcoming and friendly. My husband used to live in Garland before we married that is how we found this little gem but once married, we moved to far N Dallas. We still make the drive at least every 2 - 3 months to enjoy this great Mexican restaurant. The chips and salsa are spot on, some of the best and the cheese they use on their dishes is not cheap like some other places use. Tonight, I had a soft cheese taco and beef enchilada with rice and the hubby had the Mexican enchiladas. Both dishes were delicious!

Im so in love with this restaurant! Delicious food, great service, nice clean atmosphere..I can go on and on.. Ive been trying new things on the menu every time I come in and everything Ive gotten thus far is absolutely delicious!

Beef tacos El Carbon is what I ordered. They served me 3 with refried beans and some very mediocre rice. El Carbon refers to the Mexican version of skirt or flank steak charcoal grilled. Although the tacos had been prepared on an indoor grill it was not charcoal or char grilled, but the beef was exceptionally tender.
