I had a wonderful experience at Flying Saucer Dought Emporium! The pizza was absolutely delicious, and I loved every bite. The service was great attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even better. The views from the massive patio are stunning, especially with the lakeside backdrop. The patio is spacious and allows smoking, which is a nice touch for those who enjoy it. Plus, the patio games added an extra layer of fun to the evening. This spot is perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family.

Feel lucky to have a Flying Saucer close by. Creative foods and of course more types of beer than you could ever get around to tasting. Love the rear seating with view of lake in the evening. Service was mighty fine. Been back several times recently. Friendly, great service. The AC was no match for the heat wave. A bit too warm on one visit. Not the norm.

Sitting at the bar is always great service! I been coming here 12 years. The decor is awesome, if you drink a lot try to get a plate. The food is amazing, the pizza is so good or black and blue sandwich. The pretzel always pairs great with beer or cider in my opinion.

Awesome place for a beer with their outstanding selection, but you can grab a beer anywhere. This place sets itself apart with the quality food options, including meat eater and rabbit food alike (best veggie burger in town), ambiance and fantastic lakefront views on the large dog friendly deck. Every visit is made better by the friendly, well trained staff. They easily made a regular out of me over the last couple months! The place was so loud we couldnt hear each other or our waitress. The beer selection was the only really positive thing about our visit. The food was mediocre at best and the service was not amazing. This restaurant has a lot of potential but has been neglected for a long time. First, the front of the restaurant is so dark that you can hardly tell it s open. The tables and menu on the patio are dirty and in poor condition, and the service is not any better. If you are going to put tables outside, make sure to clean the spider webs next to the patio railings, which are full of spiders and webs, creating an unpleasant dining experience.

Visited on 6/16/24. The one star is for customer service. We sat down and waited for a server that never came. Tables around us had servers take their orders even though they arrived after us. After about 20 minutes, a waiter came and asked if we had been taken care of. The food took about an hour to arrive. The waiter checked on us only a few times, and I had to ask for refills multiple times, even as I saw the waiter attend to other tables more frequently. The automatic tip option starts at 20% and goes higher. I love to tip, but a restaurant should not automatically ask for a tip, especially if the service is horrible. The food is not cheap and should be sufficient to cover servers paychecks.

We tried this place one Tuesday night and found out they have trivia every Tuesday. You seat yourself and a server will come by to get your food order. This is a very fun place to meet new people. Sometimes the kitchen and bar will get backed up but your server will bring some waters quickly. We tried a couple of different beers and ordered the Carne Asada Fries which were fantastic, food came out hot and freshly made. Lots of laid back people. We made some new friends and looking forward to returning and trying the trivia. The place was very clean for a bar and the restrooms were also very clean. With the craft beer craze fully in force these days, there are plenty of places to enjoy a great pint of beer. The Flying Saucer in Garland is perhaps on of the best around. With 200 taps it s easy find what you re looking for. The staff is very attentive - especially the bar tenders. Every time I go in, they make suggestions, give me tasters and help me discover new brews. Thursday, lunch is the best time to be there because the lunch special is HONEY DIPPED FRIED CHICKEN. There is just enough honey in the batter to give it a hint of sweetness. The other great thing about this location is the patio overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard. It s just a great place to treat your taste buds and enjoy a little down time. You deserve it...

Flying saucer is awesome! Ive been comming here since it opened and have never had a bad experience. Ive brought many friends, family and coworkers here, and every time we all enjoy it. Everything on the menu Ive had to eat has been exceptionally tasty, their menu has a lot of good and filling options ( the nachos are the best) and the amount of beers they have on tap is insane. Ive found many local alternatives to some of my favorite beers that are even better than what you can pick up at the store and the service is always top notch. The servers know everything about every beer they serve and can answer any question you have about them. Ive never had a suggestion I didnt like. Food and drinks come out blazing fast, everyone is very friendly, the environment is chill, but very social, and you can go sit out on the patio and enjoy the lake and watch the sunset. They have trivia nights too that are a lot of fun. If your in the area and are looking for a new place to try, I suggest coming here. They wont disappoint. The lakeside patio offers a pleasant environment for relaxation and gorgeous views. The ambiance leans towards a bar setting yet it welcomes children until 9 pm, which may not suit everyones preference. During a Saturday night visit, I saw toddlers running around the entire floor and using bar tables to hang upside down from. That is a head injury just waiting to happen and no supervision from their parents. This detracted from the overall experience, as I had hoped to enjoy a serene evening by the lake. While I understand that families may want to dine out together, a bar atmosphere on a Saturday night might not be the best place for young children. While the service can be very inconsistent depending on the server, the food and drinks were great during our very first visit. I must say my other experiences have been less than satisfactory. While they offer a full bar and cocktail menu alongside their beer selection, the execution is lacking and very inconsistent. On my second visit, I ordered a cocktail and was served the wrong drink. Even after requesting a correction, the second attempt was still lacking one of the main ingredients. Disappointingly, this trend persisted on our third visit, with different bartenders consistently getting my order wrong. During our third (and final visit), the service was painfully slow, and uncomfortable. Despite waiting over 20 minutes for our waitress to appear, the most unsettling part was when she finally did arrive she sat down in the booth with me, her body uncomfortably close to mine. This invasion of personal space left me feeling extremely uneasy. I must commend the manager who promptly intervened without us having to ask. She handled the situation with professionalism and care, which was greatly appreciated. Despite the positive interaction with the manager, the recurring issues with drink orders and uncomfortable service experiences have left me hesitant to return. Its a shame because I believe this place has lots of potential if improvements in service and consistency were addressed. For those seeking a more adult-oriented atmosphere, you may want to consider other options. Its a shame to see such a beautiful venue not fully reaching its potential due to these issues. Kid-friendliness: Yes it is kid friendly, but that doesnt mean it should be. No games, no play ground yet the place is left wide open for children to run around unsupervised.

Update 03.08.24: Reserved their party room for my 50th birthday. It was chaotic with so many people, but the manager (Nikki - sp?) Did a fantastic job. If you need a space for about 25 people, its perfect. They even had a live band that sang Happy Birthday to me! Great way to ring in 50 years! Food was delicious and our server was attentive, despite it being a very busy afternoon. This is one of our favorite places to go for a date night. Dont even just want a weekend out so that we can enjoy ourselves and not be too serious. Thats one of those places that you can go in. Grab some food drink a couple of beers know that youre going to be able to have a good time and not spend a whole bunch of money.

LOVE this place! Went at 1:30pm on a Thursday, not a busy time. Staff was very nice. You can t beat the view! So relaxing. I don t enjoy places with a HUGE menu, I don t need a lot of options. They have a smaller menu with something for everyone. I got the Reuben with jalapeños sauerkraut , so good (ask for spicy mustard on the side) and my husband got The Big Dipper, both meals with fires and the big pretzel. No complaints! I m a beer girl and the selection is on point! My husband is a whiskey guy and was so happy to get a Buffalo Trace old Fashion! The atmosphere is awesome. Our bill .2 alcohol drinks each (4), 2 entrees and an app was $90.

This place is a gem! Bianca was wonderful and quite helpful. Heidi behind the bar helped me navigate the extensive selection and offered samples to aid in my decision. Jahnune was a delightful conversationalist. Byt the star of the show was the fried chicken sandwich. I struggle to find words. Easily the best fried chicken sandwich Ive ever had.

Great View/Location. Very good variety and quantity of beers on Tap. Pizza was top notch, service was also A+ (even though it was a bit slow). Great atmosphere inside and a nice patio area to enjoy the views of the Lake. Highly Recommend.

You know what this is a beer spot that has an incredible selection of beer choices. That said, their food is top-notch, well presented and very affordable for the quality. I ve been coming here for years, but I never earned a saucer due to my affinity for sticking to simple beers.

Our experience was amazing! As a traveling Canadian, finding new and interesting places are high on my list! This place has it all! Weirdness. Great beer. We have met friends here several times now and the food is consistently good. It s always fresh and has a nice presentation. View of the lake is awesome, good drinks and tons of beer options. Staff is attentive and they don t rush you. Highly recommend!

Love hanging at this place. There beer selection is incredible. I ve tasted th best beer hear, and learned a lot about beer drinking beer here. It been a goal of a lot of my friends to earn that plate in the wall. I haven t had any of my friends do it, but it s funny when you meet people who have. Great theme for a business. Best food I ve had on that side of town. Can t wait to drop in again.

Great place to eat lunch along the lakeside. Many beers on tap. TVs, steel tip dart boards, and a great view of the lake both indoor and outdoor. Bass Pro Shop is next door.

This time was good. This is only the 2nd waitress that has been good and I go with my husband and friends almost every Friday. Usually the waitresses will jack up our bill and overcharge us by 50 to 100 dollars. This one didnt do that. There was one other waitress who didnt do that either. If you go here, demand to see your bill. Dont pay it blind!!!!!
