This is a classic pub, awesome pool tables, juke box, shuffleboard, same owner for over 30 years, good drinks and good staff. This owner truly cares and enjoys getting to know his patrons personally

The owner is awesome, truly cares about the customers. Ive met people that have been coming here for 25 years, Terry knows them by name and they always are looking to say hello to him. I love working for him and makes me feel like Ive made a new friend, not just a boss. Thank you Terry

This place has so much potential. It could actually be a lot popular than it is if the owner would make some business moves but im afraid he is stuck in his old ways and things will stay as they are for now. The bartenders are nice group of ladies. They are good to talk to and are good at their jobs. They do have live music play. Bathroom isnt the best but other than that the atmosphere is nice and you can tell he cares for his regulars.

Its a great neighborhood bar that Ive always visited quite frequent because of the comfortability that I get from Ebs. I think you should drop in to experience my meaning. Happy hour works best. Tell Terry ( he owns the joint) that Greg Wichman said youre welcome to free cocktails from 4-7 pm. Enjoy. Just joking. But the place was comfortable and air conditioning was apparently. In addition, Terry has a new entertainment feature that is a wall unit. Its known as the fish game. Its for entertainment only of course. Ya gotta drop by Ebs. The waitress is funny and helpful, and not at all hard to look at. Enjoy.

This is clearly owned by hoarders. You feel like you are in someone s attic and a bar at the same time. They turned on a fan for us bc yes no AC and some dust came flying off at us while we looked at someone s hundreds of old boxes, Christmas trees, and chairs. I still feel gross. It was like purgatory

Ummm scary a.f. dont think any recent review is legit because this place barely has 7 light bulbs working, no a/c and bartenders are clearly method out.(not new girl Jennifer fyi) went 1 block down total different atmosphere..but not gonna lie if not familiar with area..skip this bar and go down the street!!!

Honestly, this bar is sketchy on the outside and the owner doesnt do anything with the potential the place has. But its ok. Not a lot of people and just enough tables and chairs for everyone. You can tell that most of the customers are regulars. The bartenders are very good and sweet. Oh! Drinks are cheap.

Penny the bartender wasnt very nice. Great to see Terry again. I think hes the owner. Nice to observe alcoholism as a grim reminder, of how some bar customers often behave. Been many years since I was in one. Glad I stopped drinking beer so carelessly. If you think you might have a problem with alcohol: AA.ORG. God wants to help you.

Gonna Be Honest, its a dive bar for the locals and loyal people. Staff will treat you the way you treat them. Known the owner for 40yrs. You expect special treatment stay away its not for you. l have been here at standing room for table for lunch in the 80s, Walked in in the 90s when no one was here. Had my wedding reception when everyone said n No way. Been here when Bands packed the house. One thing you will get is treated equal, act a fool get treated like one.

HORRIBLE!! community bar where you can smoke inside (which I liked), then ppl smoke crack on the side with the slot machines. Never seen any food there. I was asked to leave by the owner after I won on one of those machines. He threw me two $5s and told the bar maids not to serve me. I did nothing wrong and he told me to get out. I couldnt figure out if it was because I was the only black female in there or because I won more than $10 on that machine!! Terrible.. and the brothers in there didnt say one word.. in fact they told me to just leave! I waited for the cops to come that the owner had supposedly called and they never came. I WILL NEVER EVER NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND I HOPE THAT PLACE BURNS DOWN!! I learned that I dont belong in a place like that no ways !!

Ebenezers is a local favorite. The crowd here is stereotypical Dallas locals. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is nice. It does not quite draw the chain appeal that some places draw but the locals frequent the place regularly and it can be really nice to chat it up with those you know Dallas and Garland well.
