This is a hidden gem in Galveston Historic District. Good atmosphere, good food the Salsas are great not too Hot but outstanding flavors I personally like the green better but red is also tasty. Great Service from Ray and Courtney. I highly recommend this spot

In Galveston for a couple days and stumbled upon Brewchachos! WOW!! The birria tacos and frozen margaritas were legit on fire! Pair the food and drinks with the cool atmosphere and best waiter ever (Chachi) made for one happy foodie here!! I wish I lived closer (Kentucky is too far) so I could enjoy this place more.

I was on call at work and not drinking, so I wasnt really digging the crowd on the strand. However, I was hungry and found Brewchachos tucked away from the bustle of the street with lots of outdoor seating and a cool water feature. Smoking is allowed, and the establishment is dog friendly as I made friends with a couple of well-mannered pooches. $5-$7 tacos that were definitely large and super delicious. Full menu and large selection of brews.

vacationed to Galveston for a week from Ohio. Constantly found ourselves coming back to Brewhachos. Great drink prices, probably the best on the strand, great atmosphere; it was cozy and homey. Me and my wife went to this place because we wanted to try their food and drinks because our friends mentioned it to us and we went there and the bartender I think her name was Morgan I m not sure but me and my wife could tell she was on something I don t know if it was weed or something else because her eyes was red and the bar smelled a bit off and she messed up our food but we we enjoyed it but I would never come back if they allow high people on the job

The food is fantastic. I had to walk inside to get a server every time I wanted a drink. Both the server and bartender (I guess that is what she pretended to be) NOT ONCE DID ANYONE COME AND TAKE MY DRINK ORDER. I went in several times and asked to get a alcoholic drink and to open a tab not once, not once did any server make it to my table to get a drink order. I ordered food and tipped over the 20% and still couldnt get one wait staff to take my drink order.

Hole in the wall but awesome. The inside bar area has an amazing selection of beers and drinks. The chips and queso were very good. The frozen drinks and tap mixed drinks were also very good. Visited this restaurant during Father s Day weekend and went during the day (around 2:30p) and it wasn t packed (definitely hot, but shady area with fans kept it nice). It took a minute for our server to serve us and we had bit of trouble getting basic things like extra napkins, water etc. BUT overall, it was good. The food didn t disappoint. I ordered a bowl and we also shared queso which was good. Overall I would definitely try it again.

The selection of beer is amazing! And the atmosphere is really nice sitting outside under the shady trees. However, when you walk up to the restaurant, there is a sign that says to seat yourself, and someone will be with you shortly. Those signs inevitably make me worry. And so it came to past, waited for about 10 minutes and nobody came to our table. So we went inside to ask if we had to order inside before being waited on. The bartender, Whitney said there should be a waitress outside, but we told her we hadn t seen one in over 10 minutes. So Whitney was nice enough to take our order and actually bring it to us when it was ready! While we were waiting, we saw two other couples walk up and sit down and eventually leave after several minutes since they were not waited on either. So if you are hungry, it might be a good idea to sit inside where you can be seen. If you plan on being there for an hour or two just to sit down and have a beer, then it s probably OK to sit outside as I m sure they will eventually see you sitting out there. Regarding food, at Brewchachos, don t get the nachos! I honestly have to say some of the worst nachos we ve ever eaten! The chips tasted like they were old and the quality was like the kind you buy at a wholesale club in a 20 pound plastic bag. We ordered the Pastor nachos but the meat tasted like well, it really didn t have a taste, lol! The beans on the nachos tasted like bean dip but the jalapeños were good as well as the lettuce. Next time we return to give them another try, we will probably try some other food item and as I mentioned, the beer selection is amazing and the atmosphere is really nice!

After we were seated the waiter took gave us the menus and said our waitress would come to get our drink orders. We waited awhile and she didnt come over. The waiter noticed we had been waiting awhile so he took over from there. I got the street tacos, delicious! This was my afternoon office and I spent about three hours here slowly demolishing a huge plate of nachos and two delicious cold beers. Sitting outside, I was happy to find a power outlet at one of the tables. Otherwise, Id have gone elsewhere. Friendly waitress, very good selection of beer and the nacho plate was excellent. This is absolutely not a fancy place and that was perfectly okay with me! Parking: Metered street parking.

Wow! Laura and I had walked up and down the strand before we decided to eat here. We were not disappointed. The courtyard was fantastic, the service was amazing and the food was very very good. The value was excellent as well. As far as outdoor dining goes, it does not get much better than this. They don t have that expensive of a menu, but what they do have is sensationally prepared. Great vibes on the outside patio. Beautiful waterfall stage, heaters if it s cold and fans when it s hot. Plenty of tvs outside to catch any game. Smoking outside, all with great service and quality food and decent prices. And the cherry on the cake was our wait staff Chachie. Fun place to eat and drink. I love the outdoor vibe. We got a salsa verde taco, it was good, and a shrimp habanero mango taco, I wouldn t get that one again but that s just my tastes. Friends got margaritas and street tacos. The Mexican water drink is very delicious, it was my favorite! So refreshing in the summer and not sweet or acidic like other style drinks. Came back a second night for just that drink! Fun outdoorsy seating under the trees.

So we been here 4 times. First visit just a drink to use the bathroom. Not busy, drinks are pricey. 2nd visit we got nachos during a parade. They where amazing! 3rd visit, we brought friends and it was busy waited 20 minutes and even asked if we could get service. No one came and we left. 4th and final visit. Not busy and it took forever to get waited on. To get drinks and food. We brought friends again and ordered nachos. They was horrible a wet mess of watery cheese. The chips where wet and limp, our order didnt hardly even have chips. My husband ate the dry chicken and lettuce off with a fork. We told the waitress how horrible they was. She said a manger would come out. No surprise, she didnt come and we wont be back.

Took a bit to find as its hidden in a nook back a bit from the road, next to Hazy Days. Came upon it looking for place nearby to play my favorite NTN/Buzztime trivia. Service was EXCELLENT! Tried tacos and it was soon flavorful Spot on. Limited non barstool seating inside, but plenty of outdoor lawn style tables in the hidden nook. Recommend Asian chicken taco on flour tortilla- spicy n TONS of flavor, and Bahn mi tacowithout queso (Im milk proteins allergic). Veggie taco was also good. Will be back. Dietary restrictions: Staff VERY knowledgeable on ingredients in menu choices and super helpful. Im egg and dairy allergic

Sat on the patio with the dog. Server was quite busy, maybe could have used some help, it was mid week tho. The Taco s were really good, everyone loved the flavors. I would recommend for a good quick lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Dietary restrictions: Corn or lettuce wrap for GF.

Only reason for 3* is cuz the food is actually good. Staff is rude and terrible. Young girls with a billionaire attitude but don t comprehend what work is. If you like good food, take it to go or suffer the consequence of being treated like a napkin on the floor

Visited during Madi Gra. Very nice large outdoor area , lots of trees for shade. I saw lots of people eating and it all looked great ! The bar it self inside is very small. Great drinks and prices. Frozen drinks, specialty drinks, Lots of draft beer options. Loved the large drink menu. Staff was friendly. Great music on patio so sing along and have fun . I ll be back to eat soon.

The drinks were good, a little pricey but good. But that s about it. The tables inside are extremely uncomfortable and the food was lacking. Not to mention a small side guacamole was $6 which is ridiculous. Probably won t go back, with all the Tex mex on the island there s much better choices.

I was really surprised how good the tacos were at Brewchachos. I didnt have high expectations when we went in and I was pleasantly surprised. Small interior seating, more seating outside. Nice beer selection.

Let me tell you a little about Galveston/the strands best hidden gem. The beer was cold the staff was amazing and the mango habanero shrimp tacos were on fire! Its quiet and tucked away right on the historic strand. Give it a try and find youre new favorite hangout in Galveston!

This place appeared to be ill prepared with dealing with gluten-free options. They told me the queso was gluten-free and they kept going back and forth about the chips. Within 10 mins of eating the chips and queso, my stomach started to bloat. Something in this combination is not gluten-free. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options, but limited gluten-free options.
