The BEST Afghan Restaurant in DFW What an amazing addition to Dallas food scene. A cozy family run business with the best service by father and son. And most delicious food prepared by Mom in the kitchen. The Chapli Kabob are the best in DFW. The meatballs are made fresh in an amazing tomatoes based gravy. The baked bread(Naan) are big in size and taste. Over all great food being prepared and served by even greater staff.

I got the veg curry. Tastes like its from a can. No onion or butter or curry or any flavor other than salt. What is the point of being a restaurant? I can get canned food at walmart. If you dont want to put the same effort into your veg dishes, take them off the menu. Or perhaps, you use a canned sauce for everything & rely on the meat to cover the flavor of a canned cheater sauce? Not good food.

Is this the best central Asian restaurant in Dallas? Quite possibly. At the very least, its definitely the best spot in town for Afghan cuisine. I do not think I have had food from this cuisine that was as good as this. I have been 5+ times and it is consistently incredible. Everything is made from scratch. Everything is so flavorful and delicious. 100% order their grilled fish. It is, without a doubt, some of the best fish I have ever had at a restaurant. So warm, crisp and spiced to perfection. The actual fish is so soft and delicious. Their curries are incredible. I had the beef one. Any appetizer you order will also be really good. You can honestly close your eyes and just point to a random menu item and youll most likely be really happy with what you ordered. The bolani (potato stuffed bread) paired with their dipping sauces is so good. I also suggest ordering that. I loved their samosas too. I have had other different menu items that were amazing, including: chapli kabab, kabuli pulao (Afghan style rice), meatballs, eggplant, and lobya. All of the items I just listed are absolutely delicious. I really, really wish more people knew this restaurant existed. Although the interior is rather small with limited seating (a few tables and bar island seating), I have had no trouble getting a table each time I have been. Takeout is your other option. Try this place if you havent yet! Pictured are grilled fish and beef curry!

Basically a hole-in-the-wall eatery with limited seating. The food is good and definitely in the value for money category. The usual Afghani restaurant challenge was the appetizers being served together with entrees (since we forgot to express our expectations clearly up front). The Mantu was dressed better than contemporary experience. The quantity was generous and the taste elevated the expectations. The Bolani was not fried uniformly and the oil was too generous for our liking. The filling again demonstrated superior cuisine with very small chunks of potatoes (not thoroughly mashed) as a thick layer - whetting the palate for more. The Shrimp Korma had Ü30 shrimps in a pleasant sauce. The Chicken Curry a la Afghani was prepared exactly to the requested spice level (biz. Lowest) and served in the traditional style but it was a dedicated serving dish not a cooking utensil :). The protein quantity was rather high. In short, good dining experience.

Service was wonderful too, the cashier was kind enough to move the heater closer to us because we were cold. We ordered the chicken kabob, shrimp, and Samosas. The samosas were huge!! I got two and could only finish one. The shrimp had a delicious sauce with it and the chicken was the best dish out of all three! We finished our meal with chai and it was the perfect temperature and sweetness. Definitely recommend this place! Dietary restrictions: Halal! Where should I start, the young man at the register talks to you like he is doing you a favor, the atmosphere is so tight and feels like a juice shop more than a restaurant, the portions for entrees are the size of an appetizer, but the food quality is better than nothing. I would recommend some other restaurants around that provide better quality and service in the same price range.

Just brilliant. We came in late on a Sunday evening and had one of the best meals of my entire time in Dallas. I literally had the tasting menu at Petra and the Beast the previous night at 150 per person, and the joy I got from Ariana was vastly superior. Every bite was a revelation, and it felt like we were eating in a friends kitchen. The eggplant dish was spectacular - soft and rich eggplant beautifully caramelized in a rich and fragrant tomato sauce, topped with a drizzle of home made yogurt. The mix of rich eggplant, piquant yogurt, and tangy tomato was so perfect. And it came with a huge piece of freshly baked flat bread. We kept looking at each other in disbelief at how good this dish was before going back for another bite. The manti (dumplings) were as good, with a perfectly textured pasta outside, a beautiful seasoned meat filling, and a beautiful lentil sauce. They were so good. Ill be dreaming about them tonight, I think Finally, we had the Kabuli pulao - a fragrant basmati rice dish with lovely bites of caramelized lamb, braised carrots, and raisins. The rice was seasoned with cinnamon and cumin and it was heavenly. Not oily like you sometimes find, but light and fluffy and divine. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pulao. Eggplant dish was also vegetarian. Yogurt is an important whenever, so no vegan offerings

I can t say enough good things about Ariana Cuisine. The food was delicious, service was impeccable, and atmosphere was cool. We decided we wanted to order extra rice to-go, and they gave it to us on the house. On top of that kind gesture, the host was very courteous and helpful. As for the food, we ve never cleaned off our plates so eagerly. So good.

This was my first time to visit. I went at lunch time. The food was very good, however, much of the menu looks to be sized for dinner portions. Example the curries are $22 to $24 each. I would suggest they create a lunch menu with scaled down sizes.

I ate here with a friend months ago. Initially, we were impressed with the food. However, we were given a religious lecture by the owner for using a credit card at their establishment that accepts credit cards... it seemed he did not understand our discomfort and the inappropriate and unprofessional nature of his behavior because he came back to our table to continue lecturing us. His intentions may have been good, but it was extremely inappropriate. As if things couldnt get more awkward, we found a coarse dark hair in our food. I was shocked. Honestly, we laugh about it now, but the day of it really damppened our mood. Im glad no one else has had to have such an uncomfortable experience here, but we certainly wont be returning.

Last week, I dined in on a whim after the Sundown was full. Glad my original plans were thwarted! The seating area is small but still lets you feel unbothered, with a nice street view. I got the veggie balls, expecting something like Indochinese manchurian. These were different! Soft and spinach-heavy in a rich and herby tomato gravy. The portion was so big and satisfying. I loved the yogurt on the side as well. I was extremely impressed and best of all, I felt SO good after eating it. Today, a week later, I ordered delivery because this place has been so on my mind. I got the samosas, mantu, garlic naan, and eggplant. Excellent packaging. The filling in the samosas wasnt as heavily spiced as Im used to, and overall they were lighter -- still flaky, still large, still really tasty, just fluffier and not heavily deep fried. The mantu was texturally rich with lentils on top, also not heavily spiced. I preferred to eat these cold. The garlic naan had an actual garlic paste rubbed onto it. What really stole my heart was the eggplant! It was simmered in a rich sauce that pulled that deep eggplant flavor out without being excessively oily at all. All in all, come here! The prices are fantastic and the food is delicious, filling, wholesome, and unique. Its the kind of experience that makes me grateful to live in Dallas.
