A favorite spot of ours for sure. Irina and Darko are always amazing to us. Irina is great at suggesting new foods for us to try, as is Darko with the wine. The Iberico pork is unbelievably delicious and is our go-to! We look forward to every visit.

Visiting from Las Vegas Marco and Alejandro delivered the best service I have ever had in all my travels. We showed up at 840 (20 minutes before closing) and were greeted with smiles and a welcoming vibe. They checked with the kitchen and happily sat us. Very friendly and very fun. Just fun, good people. And they know how to make a guest feel good and treat you well. Which can be difficult to find these days. I would come back to Houston/Galveston just for the service. Let s not forget the outstanding food! The ribeye cap was amazing, the sides were succulent, and the old fashion can t be beat. Even my kids mac & cheese was amazing. My wife went with the French 75 and the trio sampler of filet, scallops, and lobster . And wow! Just WOW! The food was outstanding. The environment is indoor (classy) and outdoor (waterfront casual). Number 13 has it all. Would travel here just for this. In my opinion, having been to some awesome places in the world this place makes my list of places to go back to and people to see! And also, I m not a bot. Which is something a bot would probably say. (Get the cap!)

So our visit here was random. We drove all the way to Houston (me and the homies) to trade a Acadia for a caddy. We got the caddy after picking their entire showroom floor apart with flaws and blemishes and built up an appetite. So where do we go to eat???? We decided on Galveston. How we ended up here was beyond me but we ended up there after a quick search for good eats on Google maps. So we drove down there and pulled up.....went inside to announce our presence and ended up sitting outside where we eventually met our Ukrainian waitress name Olga. The nitty gritty.... The food was relatively more expensive then I ever spend on eating but let me tell you guys something........ EVERYTHING we ordered out of that kitchen was delicious!!!! I was utterly blown away at how good all of our dishes were. We sat outside which was nice since it wasnt too hot nor too windy. Olga was pretty good and the food was great! So do I recommend eating here? Absolutely!

Everything is top notch from their fresh flown in oysters to their lobster, tuna, snapper, and of course steaks to die for. They also have the best wine selection in town.

We went here last night for our Anniversary and it did not disappoint! We were sat very quickly inside and our drink orders were taken. They brought out the most incredible bread with butter I have ever had! I had the smoked old fashion, which was perfect. For dinner, we did the filet with lobster tail, au gratin potatoes and broccolini. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Our waitress, Christine, did a fabulous job taking care of us. If youre looking for a special restaurant for dinner, please give this place a try!

We visited Number 13 for the first time last night to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted promptly by two ladies who were so nice, and seated promptly with a view of the water. We were brought the most delicious bread!! We normally skip any bread but wanted to give it a try and we were so glad that we did. We ordered the Alaskan halibut, steak and brussels sprouts. Everything was absolutely delicious and I am still thinking about the brussels sprouts! We shared the bread pudding for dessert and it was AMAZING!! A lady with shoulder length dark hair walked by and asked how our dessert was and we told her we loved it! The only negative we had was our server Omar. He wasnt very attentive. He came by when we were originally sat and said hello and that he would be back in a few minutes to tell us about the features. He came back about 10 minutes later and told us about the features and then asked if we wanted something to drink. We ordered 2 drinks and received those promptly, but didnt see Omar for another 15 minutes or so. He finally came back and we ordered our food. We received our food promptly, but Omar only checked on us one other time. I ran out of water and would have liked more but he never came back until he delivered our check. There were 2 other parties that came in at least 15 minutes after us and they had their salads before we had even seen Omar to order any food. We saw many other servers walking around checking on their tables, but Omar was always missing. We will definitely be back, but hope that we get another server besides Omar. Number 13 definitely deserves 5 stars even though Omar doesnt!

Our experience at Number 13 Prime Steak and Seafood was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We chose this restaurant to celebrate a special birthday, expecting a top-notch dining experience, but what we encountered was far from it. Firstly, the service was appallingly slow. We waited over 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and our appetizers took nearly an hour to arrive. When the food finally came, it was a huge letdown. The seafood tower we ordered was more like a seafood bowl, lacking the variety and presentation we expected. The seafood tasted old and poorly prepared, which was extremely disappointing. The ambiance was a huge letdown because we ended up sitting on picnic tables. The whole point of this place is to enjoy the view, which was disappointing, especially from a picnic table. Honestly, the view itself was a bit underwhelming. To top it all off, the prices were exorbitant for the subpar quality of food and service we received. It felt like a complete rip-off, and definitely not worth the money spent. Over $400 for one app and one drink for a part of 5. I feel bad for the waiter, as he was actually nice. But due to the manager Melissa, he missed out on a big pay out and so did the restaurant. The experience was so dreadful that we decided to leave after the appetizers. To make matters worse, two people in our party got food poisoning from the appetizers. I would not recommend Number 13 to anyone, especially for a special occasion. It was a night of frustrations and disappointments, and certainly not the memorable celebration we had hoped for. And no we don t want your $20 discount to return THE BETTER OPTIONS ON THE ISLAND: Rudy & Paco s (food) Fisherman s ward (view) Sugar and Rye (ambiance)

This restaurant had so much potential... highly disappointed. Food and atmosphere is great. However, we had a reservation for 8:30pm for a party of 8. What was supposed to be a pleasant 21st birthday dinner, quickly became sour when we arrived to the restaurant and was told they were waiting for our table to become available, as it was busy and I suppose they had to give it away. We were told the table was on dessert and it would be a 10-15 minute wait, no problem. We came back after 20 mins and our table was still not ready. What was the point of having a reservation?!?! After 15 additional mins I confronted who seemed like the manager (blonde hair), who was rude and asked me what do you want me to do about it, and offered a discount and a free champagne bottle. I told her all I wanted was an accurate estimate of when the table will be ready. She told me 5 mins and the party that was there walked out. We quickly got sat and poured champagne, after that service was terribly slow and server kept forgetting our drink refill requests. When the tab came, they discounted $20 on an $800 tab. Thats laughable. I have never had a restaurant experience like this before. Disappointed isnt even the word.

Steak was fantastic! Lobster mac-n-cheese was kind of gritty and the lobster was chewy but not bad over all. Nothing compared to Katies Crab Mac-n-cheese. Service was like slow motion. The waitress was very nice but everything took for ever to happen. We waited 25 minutes for a booster seat, took for ever to take the order, took for ever to take dessert order, and a life time for the check. The worst part of all was it was hot in the resturant. We were all literally sweating! The last thing we wanted after a long hard hot day in the sun was to sweat at the resturant. While this review may sound harsh there were some highlights. All of the steaks were fantastic and the Seafood pasta was great. All in all it wasnt terrible but the heat ruined the experience!

Tonight I experienced the absolute worst service ever since coming here ! made reservations week before my birthday ;made special accommodations to be seated where I m able to get the waterside view by a window for 2 . we arrived the host at the front was very nice and immediately I knew we were gonna have a nice dinner as she constantly emphasized my name as she addressed me as lovely Miss Stephanie . Eh wrong they wish me a happy birthday & proceed to seat us near where the waiters would have to walk back and forth to get pitchers the entire night at a 4 -5 person table . My boyfriend knew I would not appreciate the seating so he pointed this out to them immediately & they were able to get us a 2 person table near a window of course with the waterside view as soon as we were seated our waitress asked us about drinks but didn t necessarily offer us a name ; for starters, or provide us menus . Although it was a full house other waiters were stepping in to offer their service ; & at one point the manger even came and adressed us which was ok I guess ; we waited for about what seemed very long 20 minutes before getting bread brought out to us 7 of those minutes we waited on menus in which we should have upon being seated . After 20 min pass they finally bring us bread , but when it came out it was soggy . This isn t our first time coming here so we know the bread is to be soft on the inside and flaky on the outer ; we didn t get that flake whatsoever . It was gummy ; even sponge like if you will .a random waiter attempt to explain that s how it should be but when I opposed he understood & realized that it very well may have been undercooked . Anyways my sparkling water came out ; I was offered limes or lemon ; the waitress never came back with them ; maybe 15-20 minutes after that my bf adv to the manger who was trying to help that I never got my limes, & order himself a alcoholic beverage; I told the manager no thanks to alcohol as I m not drinking for personal reasons all this took place before noticing the bread was gummy. ,..When the female waitress FINALLY comes back with the limes she drops them in my glass & scurry s off to make her rounds to the other people who are dinning in if you re following it has been roughly 35 -40 minutes since we have been seated and no one has asked us if we are ready to order ..about 5 minutes later another waiter who s seeming to have a nice accent asks us if we are ready to order (noticing our body language) I m hungry at this point so we went ahead to order . My bf took this time to also tell them about the bread in which they took it back and adv that we will get fresh bread out & cook to perfection; I ll have you know we never recieved the bread ; even though they were able to bring out my bf alcohol beverage promptly I ll say about 6-7 minutes no more than 10 minutes waited about 15 more minutes that s a total 20 more minutes tops & by now still no bread. So please understand I m very dissatisfied at this point I recap with my boyfriend how last time how we got a choice to also get salad or soup in which our waitress never even suggested . So when we saw her he called her over ; and asked her about the soup and salad . & her response was she worked there 10 years & that it doesn t come with our food and that it s a le carte & would be a seperate charge on our tab (like what) ; we are asking about this because we couldn t get any bread in a timely fashion & additionally the point he was making is that the service wasn t up to par ! Listen the service we got tonight compared to other times we have came was a complete disaster ! It s Mother s Day weekend my birthday is Monday ? We are visiting from DALLAS ! but like I said it was a full house ; but this place will not get a pass ! We were waiting a hour ! Went from being seated at 7:30 and left at 8:30 ..bf asked for the tab so we can pay for that drink being the only thing we received within that hour. He said it gave him heart burn anyways ! NEVER AGAIN !

Instead they paid for two desserts and charged us 6 dollars for espresso we didn t order. When they returned the bill they didn t return my credit card. I ran to the bar in a panic to explain my card was missing the man who appeared to be a manager grabbed it from on top of the register and asked if that was my card he was laughing as if them keeping an out of state credit card was funny. It was almost like a clown car. I still left 18% because I used to be a server but I honestly was so disappointed.

Our favorite restaurant when were visiting Galveston! This visit was no exception. Superb service and food! I am not a bread person but I absolutely cannot resist the bread they serve!! Wow! We started with the crab cakes appetizer. It was excellent. For our entrees, hubby ordered the seafood pasta that came with alaskan king crab and topped with lobster tail. I ordered the ribeye with Piitsburg sear and blue cheese crumbles on top. The steak was cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of sear and so juicy and flavorful!! The seafood pasta was also excellent. For sides, we chose sautéed spinach and sautéed mushrooms. Both were delicious. For dessert we shared the warm butter cake. It was divine! We ended up splitting a baked brie and a wagu tartar. The brie was fantastic and the tartar was good (texture was unexpected). I got a mixed trio plate with tuna (great) steak (even better) and quail (average). My wife had the crab tempura (her first choice was out), she was quite happy with her choice in the end. Id come back again but would order differently. The outside area was nice but didnt have a good sunset view.

We didnt realize it was so nice, but no one seemed to care that we were in jeans and T-shirts. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating! They were attentive and also didnt rush us, even though we arrived quite late. The atmosphere as far as the decor, noise level, music, and scenery was fantastic. The food was to die for! Be prepared to drop a wad of cash, but we thought it was so worth it. Our steak melted in our mouths! Our waitress understood that we were pleasantly full, but insisted on bringing out an anniversary dessert for us, which was so sweet of her--and it tasted amazing! I always considered the number 13 to be lucky and after dining at Number 13, I have one more reason. Too often, I ve gone to a steakhouse where they charge exorbitant fees in the promise of an exceptional experience, only to find the execution to be lacking. Number 13 did quite the opposite. I wasn t sure what to expect from the humble location tucked away from the road. As I walked up to the door I noticed a lot of outdoor seating overlooking the marina but I opted to sit inside. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and spacious with an elegance I did not expect. After being seated, water was brought to the table. Our waitress Irina G. was exceptional. Throughout the entire meal, she answered questions, made recommendations and anticipated our needs at the table. I don t know if you can request a waitress when you go but I would definitely recommend her. She did an outstanding job. I ordered a New Fashioned to drink. Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Amaro and Warm Spiced Apple Liqueur over a fat piece of ice combined for a strong but smooth drink with hints of fruit and caramel. I also had a Paloma which was also very good with a strong flavor underneath the grapefruit. The food was amazing. Before I go into the main course, I have to talk about the bread. I don t know who the baker is but give that person an award! I could have sat there and ate that bread and butter all day. The bread came out fresh, hot and still steaming. Don t leave without trying it. It s addictive. The Tropical Salad was a mix of baby bibb and arugula with chopped greens, oranges, roasted almonds, strawberries, goat cheese, and honey mango. Tossed in a champagne vinaigrette it was refreshing and delicious. The main course was a 28 oz. 30 Day Cowboy Ribeye. At $113 it was worth it. The steak was tender, juicy and full of flavor. The size was also more than enough for two people. The sides were all delicious and perfectly complimented the steak. The Brussels Sprouts with pork belly bacon and golden raisins was incredible. The Sautéed Asparagus Béarnaise was exceptional and the Yukon Gold Whipped Potatoes could not have been better. On the recommendation from Irina, for dessert the Warm Butter Cake really hit this meal out of the ball park! What a wonderful recommendation! Classic warm butter cake with a berry chutney and tres leches reduction. Topped with Madagascar vanilla bean and mixed berry gelato. Finished with roasted pecans this was a stairway to warm butter heaven. I can t say enough about the excellent food and the impeccable service. I would recommend this steakhouse to anyone for a fine dining experience without all the pretentious spectacle but still elegantly presented. If you live in Houston, it is worth the drive to Galveston for a weekend getaway meal that will leave you feeling satisfied.

Went with the family. It was very good service and had the feel of a nice steakhouse. I would stick to the beef because my octopus was not very good. My wife liked her steak and the kids burgers were great. Only other drawback was it was really loud in there.

We visited Galveston over spring break and tried out this restaurant based on the online reviews. It is not a place we would have found had we not done research online in advance. The front exterior is very unassuming and not what youd expect for a higher end restaurant; however, upon entering the restaurant the atmosphere transformed. It was very nice and modern on the interior and very inviting. We did have reservations in advance. After being seated, we were given hot towels to wipe our hands...I didnt see this done for every table so unsure if it was normal practice to do this or they thought we needed it. I would have thought all tables would receive the service, if it was part of their normal practice. All of us received a popover with butter. Our 8 year old daughter loved it and they were delicious. On the food: we ordered a filet, truffle corn, wedge salad, shrimp & grits and our daughter ordered the 3 oz childs filet with fries. This is the first restaurant weve been to that had a filet option on the childs menu and we appreciated that. Some kids very much enjoy steak rather than the typical chicken nuggets and mac n cheese all the time. My husbands filet was cooked properly (medium rare) though it could have been seasoned better and did not have much flavor to it; however, our daughters steak was not cooked properly. She also ordered medium rare and it came out all gray inside with no red/pink inside at all. My husband ate her steak and gave our daughter part of his steak to eat. She clearly knew it was not cooked correctly when she cut into it. We werent going to say anything; however, our waitress came over to check on how everything was, so we told her the childs steak was not cooked properly. The restaurant managers came over and did apologize and removed the cost of the childs meal from our ticket (we didnt ask them to do that but it was a nice gesture on their part...we added that amount back in on top of the tip we gave our waitress). The truffle corn was amazing and we highly recommend that side dish. The shrimp and grits were solidly good, not the best weve had, but good. It is personal preference but I felt there was too much shrimp and not enough grits. The grits could also have been seasoned more as I could not really get any taste of the fontina and the cajun beurre blanc sauce on the side was very runny and buttery. The meal was on a plate with sides; however, with the sauce being so runny, I did not feel comfortable pouring it over the shrimp and grits...the meal would have been better served in an actual bowl. Our daughter ordered the smores dessert. She thought it was fun to see it torched at the table; though she really didnt end up eating much of it. It was a little challenging to eat, the marshmallow was very hard to cut through (they only provided spoons to eat it with and it really needed a butter knife to help cut through it). We are still giving 5 stars. Nothing is ever perfect and sometimes it boils down to personal preference and taste. We would visit the restaurant again. Service was also impeccable.

This place is super underrated. An absolute class establishment. I think the best seafood meal we ve had anywhere in the Houston/Galveston areas. The octopus was awesome, branzino, burrata, mussels, everything so good. Kid-friendliness: We brought our one year old and saw several other toddlers and babies. Kid friendly!

First time to Galveston and this place was recommended. Unfortunately the food was subpar and over priced for what was delivered. The seared snapper was lacking in seasoning and was mediocre. We also ordered the duck fat potatoes and the crab fries for sides. Both seriously lacking in flavor. The fries were fast food quality with hardly any crab meat and tasteless. The potatoes were essentially the same. Service was okay. At one point we ran out of water and bourbon and went 20 minutes without a drink before it was noticed. All in we paid almost $500 to dine here and were extremely disappointed. Ate the previous night at Willie G s for half the price and twice the flavor and service.

We went for date night a couple years ago. They wanted to seat us in a section where half the table is a booth and half are chairs. Those tables are right on top of each other. Uncomfortably close. We left and went somewhere else. At this price point, I dont want to be bumping elbows with the person at the next table and hearing each others conversations.

I went here last night for the Valentines Day special. Usually, this place is THE spot Id pay extra for a nice steak, but last night was a little off. My partner and I both ordered the Westholme NY strip as our entrée after researching the farm. We assumed it would be Westholme Wagyu for the +$35 upcharge, and it wasnt listed as being Prime CAB like all other items. However, once we received our entrée, the steaks had so much gristle and big chunks of rubbery fat on the sides. It was a pretty huge disappointment considering how lovely the usual cuts are and its price point. So we basically paid extra for a steak we couldnt really eat without spitting half of it back out. The seasoning was great though. We still recommend coming here. Just maybe stick to a non-special night and get the regular cuts. Also, ask for Mary as your server. She was amazing and went above and beyond for us.

Stopped and had a nice lunch with my boyfriend. Kristy was our server (hope Im spelling it correctly) and she honestly gave some of the best service Ive had in a long time. I live in the city of Houston so I have the opportunity to eat at a lot of places, and it is surprisingly difficult and rare these days to be taken care of by server who keeps the table cleaned between courses, waters filled, open armed service, and detailed knowledge on food. We wanted for nothing! I mean seriously, shes a professional! Just as importantly, the food was incredible and beautifully plated. We started off with the crab cakes and for main course we had a bone-in wet aged filet mignon and a tuna steak with yuzu. Worth the spend and I was pleasantly surprised that the experience added up to the price. Thats just so hard to come by these days.

My wife and I went for our anniversary and we shared a tomahawk steak, with broccoli, potatoes au gratin, and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious. We also ordered the chimichurri sauce and horseradish sauce, both of which were great. The one thing that fell short for me was the bone marrow, the crustinis were burnt, clearly too dark, and also the bone marrow itself was just not tasty, as if the seasonings were too mild. The service was great and the experience overall was very good. We will be going back to try different items on the menu, didnt get any seafood this time, next time it will be nothing but.

Last night the service for a $300 meal for three people was AWFUL. We had to ask the waiter for things MULTIPLE times and I had to track him down to pay when we were ready to leave. I had talked about what an exceptional restaurant it is to my family visiting, and while the food was great the service made me consider NOT returning. I had told them about the amazing bread at the restaurant and asked three separate people for those famous rolls, and finally received them for dessert when asking the fourth time. The King Crab was the best I had ever had and I have eaten them a ton of times. Such a shame that subpar service ruined my viewpoint of Number 13.

First time here and had a very bad first impression. Made a reservation over the phone an hour prior. The person that answered barely spoke any English. Had to repeat my name several times and then spell it (I have a very simple and common first name). Got to the restaurant and they couldnt find my reservation that I made just one hour before. Had to spell my name again and give my phone number. Two teenagers were just staring at the computer screen and not saying anything. Very awkward situation. At this point, I just wanted to say forget it and leave but another lady showed up and said they will find us a table (nearly every table was empty) so not sure what the problem was. Was finally seated and had a very nice waitress named Mary. She was very sweet and attentive and did a great job. Ordered a crab dip appetizer. Nothing special. Nearly every other dip Ive ever ordered at other restaurants tasted better than this one which cost $46.00!!! I ordered the mixed grill where you can choose 3 different menu items. I chose the crab cake, seared tuna, and 3 oz filet. The steak tasted okay but was so tiny. They give out larger pieces at Sams Club as samples! The tuna had a weird taste and I took one bite and couldnt eat the rest. The crab cake was also so tiny and bite size and didnt taste that good. The crab cake at Pappas Seafood is 1,000 times better tasting than this one. I almost forgot to mention the pesty flies that were inside the restaurant. Every few seconds, we had to keep swatting them away from our food. Had to keep a napkin over the crab dip to keep them out of it. Very annoying! Got a piece of chocolate cake to go and that was very good. Overall, paid $214 for 2 people before tip and didnt even have any alcohol. What a ripoff! There are so many other better Seafood restaurants out there. I wont be returning to this one.

Food was great. Need to put the tea in a tea glass. Wine glass is too tall and you have to take it to the side of the table to drink it. (Im short). Wine list is excellent! View is awesome!

I was SO looking forward to eating at this restaurant. I took my 31 yr. old nephew on the 4th of July. I ordered the Rib-Eye medium rare. My nephew had the filet mignon. My steak arrived and it was medium-well done. I returned it. Abigail the manager apologized profusely. When the replacement steak arrived it was basically raw. I had them take it away. I blew off steak and just had a chocolate cake and an espresso. They bottled up the Malbec wine I didn t drink. I could not understand how a great steak restaurant with a wonderful reputation could botch TWO times. I was given the general manager and part-owners card with his email address. I sent him an email that night but have yet to receive a reply. My nephew s steak was great (I tasted it) and the dessert was exquisite. I would love to try the Sunday Brunch but I may not be welcome. My bill was $245 and I left a 20% tip. I think they have a quality problem. Why would you not check the doneness of a steak before taking it to the table?

We had a party of 7 go eat Friday the 23rd and it literally took us 35 to 40 minutes to get our food. The overall dinner experience started at 6:45 and we did not get out of there until right around 9 pm. I wrote the restaurant to let them know about our experience and that I would rather check in with them first before blasting them on the internet. Did I hear back from them? Absolutely not. Not a peep. I was not looking for any reparations but at least so acknowledgment would have been enough. This leaves me to think one of two things. 1. They already got our $500 dollars so haha jokes on you. Or 2. They just dont care. Great food but the service and timeliness was seriously lacking. Lets just say that this was not my wifes favorite birthday.

Phenomenal. If you re lucky enough to have Mary as your server you don t need a menu. Order whatever she recommends and you won t regret it. I m being 100% serious.

My cousin recommended this restaurant to me and my wife for our 8th wedding anniversary. It was great the food was excellent and the service was excellent as well. The table we were seated at had a great view of the Moody Gardens prymids and the boat basin. They have an outdoor area and bar. You can drive your boat up and dock there as well. I HIGLEY RECOMMEND CALLING AND MAKING A RESERVATION. Parking: Small parking lot and the place is very well-known so it can be a little hard to get a parking spot.

Service is on point! Mike and Sam have to be the BEST bartenders out there! Very personable and super educated in fine wines and hard to find bourbons. They re ver knowledgeable. Food is outstanding! Best steakhouse on the island! New ownership is amazing! Love this place!!!!
