TL;DR - Service was good, but for food I wouldnt recommend going here *unless* its for their Sunday Brunch menu or their bigger ticket items. Not bad, but not really worth it either. Full review - Service is absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is very open and inviting!! But the food itself was dissappinting - did a Southwest Bowl off of their lunch menu and the flavor was good, but nothing to write home about and the portion was incredibly small + served in an overly large bowl, which I personally really hate when resturants do because it feels like theyre trying to distract / hide how small their food portions actually are - it feels deceitful. We both genuinely, physically left more hugry than when we came in. Additionally, we were drawn in for their unique food options that turned out to be Sunday Brunch exclusives, with the rest of their menu being fairly standard options you can find nearly anywhere else along the same strip. I dont fault them at all for us not knowing about the menu differences, but everything outside of those exclusives felt - again - like food options you can find nearly anywhere else along that same street with larger portions for better prices. *That* part was dissapointing. Id be willing to give them a second chance for their Sunday Brunch menu, but short of that I would recommend going elsewhere if youre looking for actual, full lunch options. (Photos = Southwest Bowl, immediately after waiter dropped it off + after taking one bite before photos. Food was good! But still, not the best option compared to others.)

We decided to take a well needed vacation. Galveston is one of our favorite spots to visit and enjoy the beach and of course the delicious food and entertainment. Weve tried lots of different spots this trip and all have been excellent. Our last stop was BLVD Seafood located at 2804 Ave R1/2 near the Galveston seawall. The place is that big but the ambience and service is incredible. Once we entered we were seated quickly. Our server was Sam M and see was informative and very delightful. She knew the menu very well and was able to give us awesome recommendations. We decided to try the Moscow Mule cocktail and it was delicious. After reviewing the menu we decided to order. I decided on 3 Pepper chicken which consisted of grilled or fried chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted corn, Poblano cream, jalapeno drizzle. My husband ordered BLVD Wild Texas Shrimp with fries and for dessert we shared Traditional Bread Pudding. The food was amazing and the service was awesome. We will definitely be back on our next trip. If youre ever visiting Galveston Texas you should definitely give them a try. You wont be to disappointed

Blvd Seafood - A Taste of Mediterranean Bliss This was my very first visit to Blvd Seafood, and I was absolutely blown away! I haven t had food this delicious in about 10 years, since my Mediterranean travels, but Blvd Seafood took me right back to those unforgettable flavors. I ordered the Blackened Grouper with wild mushroom risotto and spinach, paired with the house Chardonnay recommended by my waiter, Landon, and every bite was pure bliss. The flavors were so rich and well-balanced, it was a true culinary experience. Landon was exceptional! He was professional, personable, sincere, and incredibly informative about the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and his warm, attentive service really elevated the whole dining experience. As someone who eats gluten-free, I was thrilled to find that they offer a variety of gluten-free options, making it easy to enjoy a fantastic meal without worry. The only thing that could be improved was the interaction with the young lady at the front. She didn t leave the best first impression, but once I was seated, everything else more than made up for it. Also, vacuuming the carpet near the entrance while customers are eating is a terrible idea; it not only disrupts the meal but stirs up dust that can affect the dining experience. Overall, Blvd Seafood is a gem, and I ll definitely be coming back for more!

The food was great. The service was excellent. My only complaint, and its a minor one, was how cramped the restaurant felt. Maybe Im just used to DFW restaurants. Overall, an excellent experience. I would dine again. I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles (a dish I get wherever its offered). Normally these are really sweet or gravy filled affairs, but the fruit and mango syrup was really light and quite refreshing.

The calamari was delicious and came out fast. Drinks were above average, the wave was a delicious cocktail that really compliments the flavor of the tequila instead of masking the flavor all together like other cocktails. Oysters Rockefeller won me over completely I will return just for those alone, not to mention the delicious blackened shrimps and red fish. Overall please give the place a chance with the exterior I was a little taken aback but the interior is incomparable to the way it looks from outside.

My wife and I were on vacation in Galveston and we decided to stop at a well-reviewed seafood restaurant, and growing up, my family always went to other seafood places and we wanted to explore a bit, so BLVD Seafood it was. Food was bland and pretty unimpressive. When you read risotto on their menu, imagine day-old sticky rice thats been reheated, and youre basically there. And then I found a hair in my food. A long, black hair. My hair is short and brown, and my wifes hair is brown and shoulder-length. I tried to bring it to the waitresses attention without too much of a fuss, cause I dont like to be one of those people, but a hair in the food is a pretty big no-no. The waitress asked if I wanted a whole new dish made for me, and I said no as I was already over halfway finished and the restaurant was closing in less than 30 minutes. Shortly thereafter, I guess she was the manager came over to talk to us and she assured us that this type of thing didnt normally happen, and I didnt want to push the issue, but I was hoping to get a comp or something, and I continued through the meal. We ordered dessert, the trio of crème brûlée, and it was good, really good. But you can imagine my surprise when we got our check and not a penny was taken off of it. The entrée wasnt comped, the dessert wasnt touched, nor were the drinks. I understand accidents happen. Its not like some line cook arbitrarily decided to slip a hair onto my plate. No one wants to cook someone a dish for them to find a hair in it, thats absolutely disgusting. But its pretty insulting to not get anything, like Opp, found a hair in your food? Thanks for telling us, enjoy your food? Sorry, but that response is completely unacceptable, and I dont encourage anyone to patronage BLVD Seafood. Where you just might find a hair in your food, no onell give a crap, and the food isnt even that good.

We had a weird experience here. We had a reservation and arrived a little early, prepared to wait. They sat us almost immediately, but then it was another 15 minutes before we were ever acknowledged by a server. The rest of the evening was mostly subpar service and my water remained empty for 75% of the meal. Most of the food was pretty good but the shrimp tasted like it came out of a dirty lake. Very strong flavor of what I can only describe as aquarium . The scallops, scalloped potatoes and chocolate mousse were excellent.

6/26/24: Had lunch here at the recommendation of a friend. We had crab cake sliders and they were delicious. The service was bad, and the atmosphere was OK. The most important thing at a restaurant is the food and the food was great. However, the overall experience is important too. Our server provided mediocre service to start with and then disappeared. Other servers and staff seemed to notice but didnt do anything about it. The outside of the restaurant is a bit run down with dead plants at the entrance. With a little TLC, I think this place has a lot of potential.

My husband had the three pepper chicken, and everything there was delicious. My daughter enjoyed kids mac and cheese. The kids chicken tenders were huge, two kids could have split it for sure, and they were SO GOOD. I was laughing with my husband admit the fact that we had nice meals, that we really enjoyed, but kept talking about chicken tenders. I didnt live for the cucumber martini, it was too acidic, not as cool as i thought it was going to be. I shouldve tried the basil watermelon one. Dude, this place is legit! Great portions. The coconut shrimp, scalloped potatoes, green beans, and soft shell crab were amazing! I heard people talking about their brunch and the crab and waffles. I will be trying that before I leave here. Highly recommend this place!

Have to say, I was extremely disappointed with both service and food. We went for my husbands birthday tonight, the food was bland and the service completely sucked. Our waiter basically ignored our table and we had to flag down to even order our food. So disappointed, really wanted to like it cause I ve seen great reviews.

I scored a three for the food. The taste was bland to us. The visual it was very inviting. The executive chef Chis works the front, making sure the last touches and that it looks good out. He take pride in his work, very good at what he does. Making sure the orders flow out smoothly no issues if you re looking for a nice cozy well ran restaurant the BLVD seafood is the place. I just like more spice to my food

I have visited multiple times this year and have enjoyed each more than the last. Truly excellent food, exceptional service (to the point of remembering names/drink orders), and a wonderful view of the Gulf. This is my go-to seafood restaurant when friends and family come to town. Parking: The restaurant lot has ~15 spots with easy street parking on 3 sides. 1-2 handicap spots. Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly atmosphere. Food is definitely geared toward adults Wheelchair accessibility: ADA Compliant with a ramp. Not overly easy to maneuver about inside, but definitely doable. 1-2 handicap parking spots available

So far the best restaurant that we ever had at Galveston, TX. Make reservation, it is always busy whenever we were there for two nights. Food: Very tasty and came in good portion. Fish and scallops cook properly with good seasoning. Drinks: Tried martini and whiskey cocktail, over the standard. Service: Reception and servers are attentive, good services! Decor: Don t fool by its external, inside is better than you see on the outside. The food tastes so good and the price is reasonable with its quality. Strongly recommended!

Wanted to order food but our server was hard to find. We frequent Galveston frequently, always trying something new and local. This one is a hard pass from us.

This is by far our favorite restaurant in Galveston. The food is always outstanding. Our faves are the smoked salmon crostini, wedge salad, and either shrimp and grits OR the special. The red snapper with coconut shrimp special we had recently was amazing. The drink menu here is great too AND they have a Mocktail menu as well if you are doing alcohol-free!

Service was on par for a touristy city, Misty Jo was great, 5 stars for her! The food itself was very heavy, we couldnt quite taste the freshness of the seafood because of all the butter and sauce. Bloody Mary looks better than it was, wasnt very flavorful or spicy. Probably wouldnt go here again.

The quality of the food was just fresh and amazing. I got the red snapper fish plate with crab meat on top(I highly recommend it) along with scallop potatoes and mushroom risotto. The red snapper was tender and broke apart with ease. The sauce for the scallop potatoes was creamy and well prepared too. The flavor of the food was never overwhelming, at least in my opinion. Its a little pricey, but you get your moneys worth. I owe a big thank you to our server Landon for recommending this dish. Well definitely be back to this place next time were in Galveston.

Wow! First, smaller (not tiny) restaurant with a bright and intimate seating area and bar. Great view of the beach, clean settings, and good drinks. Then, the food, OH my word. I was worried because the menu isnt huge. I would say a little bigger than a limited menu but still had a variety of flavors and ways to have items cooked like broiled, fried, sautéed, grilled, and blackened. Three of us had the shrimp and grits. I had lumped crab added to mine. 100% the best shrimp and grits weve ever had. All three of us loved it. My husband got fried shrimp. The sides were scalloped potatoes and they were the BEST! Lastly, its difficult to have a top tier restaurant in such a tourist town and still maintain quality of food AND service but BLVD has done it. Our waitress, her name was Sam, was funny, kind, informative, and patient because... lets face it- we are a mess! Anyway, if youre reading this, just go. You wont regret it. Thanks for reading! We love the BLVD! AND SAM!

Came to Galveston for work and stayed at an AirBnB. I asked my host where she recommended I eat for lunch and she said here. Upon hearing the name I had no clue what it was. When I drove up, though, I remembered thinking I ve seen this place a lot but never wanted to go in because the exterior was a tad shady. But, on her recommendation, I decided to give it a whirl. And I m so glad I did! It was fantastic! I wish I could remember the name of my waitress because she was perfection. I took all her suggestions for food and drinks and it was all delicious. It was even my first time trying a carillon and I m sad I ve never done that with my coffee! Make sure you stop in here while visiting the island!

You just can t go wrong eating here. Misti Jo took care of us so well. She s one of the reasons we come here; personable, enthusiastic and a consummate professional. My wife had the Deluxe Bloody Mary, a meal in itself, and for the first time I had the Blueberry Lemon Drop. 10s all around on the drinks. We decided to have a tapas-style lunch and ordered appetizers to share: calamari, seafood ceviche and crab-stuffed shrimp. We are now full but not overly so. Awesome, awesome, awesome experience. Do yourself a favor and dine here! We are island locals and it is our favorite spot for seafood and steak. We absolutely love Blvd. Easily one of the best restaurants, if not the best restaurant on Galveston Island. We visited twice recently. The first time we had escargot and crab stuffed shrimp appetizer. Both came with toasted points and were absolutely delicious. For our main entrees we had the ribeye steak and flat fish. I cannot even describe how incredibly perfect both of these dishes were prepared. On our second visit, we came a bit earlier in the day for lunch. We added oysters on the half shell and soft shelled crab to our lunch. Again, both dishes were amazing. As our mains, we had cedar plank salmon and Soup and Salad (Blvd. House salad). So, so good. We cannot recommend this place enough. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The chefs are flawless. They use Katies and other local companies for their seafood and its always fresh and delicious. The restaurant is conveniently located on Seawall Blvd and has an exceptional view of the Gulf. There is a small parking lot that fills up fast when they are busy. However, there is nearby street parking available, paid and free.

My husband and I visited this place tonight 3/17/24. Our first meal out in Galvastan on Spring Break vacation and it was DELICIOUS! A 2 min walk from our vrbo. My husband had a delicious Bloody Mary with an amazingly complex garnish of shrimp stuffed with cheese, bacon, green beans and really yummy bacon. The ratio was perfect of alcohol to tomato juice and spice. He had an entree of shrimp & grits and HUGE perfectly cooked asparagus. I had a gluten free Seawall Scallops with Squash Puree that were perfectly cooked, House Strawberry Salad that was impectably dressed and Chefs Creme Brulee Trio! It was soooo good and we are stuffed! Neither one of us could eat it all. The service was on point, not pushy, friendly and prompt. My husband said Galvastan has a lot to live up to beat this place! They also have fresh oysters 6 for $12...Id like to return tomorrow to try but learned about that after being full. I would LOVE TO EAT HERE AGAIN! Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free options

Kierra s has poor taste. Going to a seafood restaurant you don t order fresh seafood fried. The salmon was amazing. I don t understand how she s a local guide, some people don t know how to order food at certain restaurants. From my experience the service was great, the table was clean, the plates were clean, and my food was hot. She sounds like a complainer to me. Would highly recommend the Dijon glaze salmon. Make sure you disregard complainers/Karen s like that.
