Horrible experience yesterday evening. My wedge salad had a small hair in it. I was almost done so wasnt a big deal. It looked like it could have come from anywhere. Was totally just gonna be okay without finishing it. Then we ordered the pineapple upside down cake dessert. A few bites into the middle there was a huge thick gross hair. Ill leave it at that. It was so bad I lost my dinner and the bites of that immediately. It was disgusting. I assume it was a manager who came out. He took off the desserts and a couple drinks. He also said they are gonna throw away that batch. Still very disgusting. I dont know how anyone can eat there. Will be reporting to health department. This was not right. It was so obvious and disgusting. Hopefully something can be done.

We had a reservation through Open Table for Dinner for two. Two servers came to ask for water, following that, no one bothered to walk by or ask for drinks or food for almost 20 minutes. When we walked back up to the front to ask what s going on, they had no clue, we asked to speak to the manager, He/She wasn t available. It literally wasted our time for 40-45 minutes. I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Wow! The hostess was so rude we left and went to First Watch right around the corner. We met to have coffee at the Lola Coffee Lounge without realizing it closed at 11am. We decided to stay and meet at the Grove instead. The hostess quickly and very snarkily said we had to eat to get a table. Why would she assume we werent going to eat just because we were originally going to meet at the coffee shop? I told her she was snarky and we had planned on eating and getting food to go. We ended up spending our $ at First Watch who were very polite and let us stay until after the 2:30 closing time. SHAME ON THE HOSTESS FOR HER SNARKY ATTITUDE and for assuming we werent eating. I will never go there again.

Penne was watery and strangely seasoned. One of our crew had pizza. I make better pizza at home. The Brussels sprouts were burned. The crab cakes had a creamy center that had a mealy texture. The frozen Rosé (I think frozé?) was way too sweet. The calamari was the best part of the dinner and it way too greasy.

When I let the server know, he seemed annoyed and did not offer to make up for it. Instead, he charged us more for asking to substitute bacon for chicken in the pasta. Their food is overpriced and the service sub par.

We have been going to The Grove since they opened in Cedar Park. We have celebrated marriages, babies, anniversaries, birthdays, farewells, and lots of date nights. We usually are very satisfied with the atmosphere. My biggest complaint is when we are set in the back of the restaurant in the café. It feels like we are spending money for a nice dinner, but spending our time sitting in a country breakfast café. It takes a plan for an intimate dinner to just a simple hurry up and get back on the road dinner. When we were there for dinner last night we were told that we could not have a table that seats four in the main restaurant because they needed to save those tables for larger parties. However, we were set back in the café at a table for four people, next to a table top portable room fan and a room divider that was obviously hiding something. Quite disappointing. Please make some changes to that area it is quite unsightly and takes away from a nice evening.

We ordered fried oysters and crab cake for appetizers. Fried oysters and the sauce for crab cake were too salty. For main course we ordered bbq pizza, noodles and fish taco. Noodles have this weird smell and over cooked. Fish taco was too bland, not sure if it feels that way because of the salty appetizers. For dessert we ordered brownie. First one we ordered was not warm and since the kids started having it and we didn t realize the brownie was at room temperature, we ordered another one, it took time like about 20-25 mins, when asked the waitress s reply was snide, Yea, its cooking it will take a minute! But the second was also not warm. As per the waitress it was cooking for that much time it should be piping hot out of oven. But it was not even warm. Because of that snide comment earlier, I had to bring it up to the waitress how the cooked brownie is not even warm. The manager came and apologized, and offered to take one brownie off of the bill. Thats a good sign they want to correct it. But the food is very sub par. And service with such attitude is not a good experience. Definitely not worth the $200+ we paid for the party of 4

This place has become the go-to choice for my friend and I s lunch dates! The bruschetta is the best I ve had in town and the servers are always pleasant. Today our server, Aaron, made our visit even more fun than usual AND he asked thoughtful questions about food allergies (without knowing that my friend s kid has severe food allergies). Her kid wasn t with us, but the fact that he offered up the question unprovoked was awesome, and shows that he cares about making a safe and enjoyable environment for the customers. We havent been to The Grove in quite awhile and wanted a nice dining experience. Let me say the serive was very good. It was the quality of food was lacking. I ordered Bruschetta which I have ordered several times in the past. The bread was soggy. I could barely see the avocado on the avocado tomato jam Bruschetta. The meat lover pizza was burnt. The quality of the food taste just isnt what it used to be. We decided to get the pineapple upside-down cake for dessert. The pineapple slice was shaved paper thin. We have had this dessert in the past with an actual pineapple slice on it. An lastly, the non stop.country music was just not the ambiance we were used to in the past. The Grove has really lowered its standard to what we call walmart level. We know restaurants are struggling and we try to support them as much as possible with our business, but we kind of feel like we just got fleeced on the quality that we were used to getting at The Grove......probably wont go back.

Our waiter came over and saw my husband didn t touch it so we told him the issue and his response was yes it shouldn t be that wet. He asked if we wanted something else instead but we didn t have time. He even went as far as to say the head chef isn t in. He didn t take if off the bill even though it wasn t edible. The only thing nice about this place is the atmosphere. The food was mediocre at best and overpriced for what is served. Also our waiter Jordan was wonderful AT FIRST, then as the dinner service went on his performance declined drastically. Taking food we were finishing not even asking if we were done or not as he had done before which confused us as to why he would take a dish that had food on it. Then proceeded to give attitude as if to rush us out. So if you like to be rushed out and mushy pasta noodles but like nice atmosphere this is the place for you. Management needs to step up and correct these mistakes. And for cooks to ensure quality within their food. First time here, never again.

We went here on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm. Was seated immediately outside on the patio to enjoy the beautiful day. They have several tables outside, all with umbrellas so you re not sitting in the direct sun. Our waitress was very friendly and knew the menu, taking our drink and food order within minutes. Food came out within about 10 minutes. I ordered the Salmon Salad with the dressing mixed in. I m always Leary about doing that but the waitress said they do not drown your salad with the dressing and she was right. It had just the right amount on it. So many flavors in that salad, I ate the whole thing! It was very tasty and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was great too. No over noisy kids or tables. It was a perfect way to spend the day - outside eating good food. Parking: The parking is difficult if you re going at peak dining times. You may have to park behind the restaurant and walk around to the entrance.

Update 02-23-2024 On a recent Sunday evening, we stopped by The Grove - Cedar Park for a quick bite... Service was good, as always. A glass of Livon pinot grigio started the evening, along with a crab cake appetizer. The crab cake was very good, mostly crab, nice light panko crust, a little dressed arugula on the side and horseradish remoulade underneath. Tasty! We shared the roasted beet and hand tied burrata salads, with prosciutto added to the burrata. Both were very good. The beet salad features three kinds of beets, the gold and candy-striped are varieties you rarely see. Toss in some apple slices, mandarin oranges, green beans, spiced candied pecans, a little balsamic, mixed with a light citrus vinaigrette. Served in a super cold bowl... a good salad. The hand tied burrata salad also hit the mark. The burrata cheese was delicious, very cold, and oozed a lot when cut... perfect! The addition of good small tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, a base of basil pesto, balsamic, olive oil, toasted baguette on the side. A nice presentation, and delicious too. The Grove - Cedar Park is a dependable go to in the Cedar Park area. Consistently good food, consistently good service, moderately priced. Recommend The Grove - Cedar Park any time of the day!

My Reuben came out cold and my chili came out cold but my chili didnt even have the cheese in it melted so it looks like it wasnt hot to begin with. Im a person that likes hot food. Because of that I give the service to Stars even though she was very nice. Its a lively location with a great food menu and an even better wine menu. Even though my food came out cold I would go back. All in all this is a great spot.

Zach is the best, we told him a general taste of wine we liked and he brought us the perfect wine. Ask for him if youre sitting in the bar area, you wont regret it.

We waited for 45 minutes just to get seated at the back corner of the restaurant near what looks like a carry out area. After waiting for another 15 min with no server or greeting I finally flagged down someone to help us. The server takes our order we sit another 15 -20 min for a glass of wine. We asked for a split ceasar salad and were brought one big salad with an extra bowl that was dirty. Our entrees were mediocre at best. Overall not a good experience.

There s literally nothing worse than having no one up front to greet you when you walk in. I stood there and no one was there. Plenty of waiters walking by that could have acknowledged me. I finally left because apparently they don t have enough business sense to have the front door staffed and ready to seat people as they come in.

Went for a girls night now! We ordered a variety of food. The veg tacos were my least favorite. The egg plant pieces in it were too big and the salsa was in excess. It was a weekend evening so lots of seating available and 0 wait time. Loved that they had outdoor heaters for the guests.

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem of a restaurant known for serving the most divine crème brûlée and exceptional coffee. Though I initially popped in for a quick caffeine fix and a sweet treat, I was enamored by the experience. The crème brûlée was sheer perfection, boasting a perfectly caramelized sugar crust that crackled with each spoonful, revealing a rich and velvety custard beneath. The aromatic notes of the coffee beautifully complemented the delicate sweetness of the crème brûlée. This unexpected rendezvous became a delightful moment of indulgence, proving that sometimes the simplest outings can result in the most memorable culinary experiences.

Dined here at least 20 times, food and bar drinks are good. The main source of frustration for us is the crazy server-table assignments. They scatter the tables for each server all over the place. This results in long waits for the server to find out you have been sat in their area followed by the usual oh, I did not see you guys here . Bring a bright red flag with you and start waving it after they don t notice you within 10-15 minutes.

I have been dining at this location since they opened. Each time the service level deteriorates. This afternoon waited 15 minutes to hand off our order. Many empty tables. Appears to have enough staff. Couldnt get anyone to wait on us. Went to hostess and the general attitude disappointing. Ended up leaving after 18 minutes of crickets. Very disappointing. One day this restaurant will have competition in the area and will have more concern for loyal customer treatment.

Mediocre food, definitely can find better at fast food places. The waiter (male with glasses) was a complete jerk and made passive aggressive comments about the food we ordered and caught him talking about my family and I with other waiters. He wasn t even attentive to us and noticed he was more focused on the other tables. When I wanted to discuss it with the manager (Steven), he was even worst and more of a jerk to us. Never coming to this establishment again.

We try to use this local business often sense they re down the road but we ve had a lot of off interactions with Steven the manager, not only have we seen him yell at other customers tables but also he also rudely hung up the phone on us when we tried to explain how our weekly order was messed up, you would think they would take care of the locals and regulars. We saw on the Google reviews that Steven had also crossed the line with some girls doing a girl night too so we will definitely stay clear of the Grove until they remove Steven and get new management, sort of bizarre that someone so dysfunctional is placed as management - we will return when Steven is replaced and things change

I visited this place, and I must say they really impressed me. Their lunch is simply superb, especially the tomato soup and Caesar salad. The taste and quality of the dishes delighted me. However, my joy was slightly dampened when the café closed, and the coffee they started serving turned out to be terrible. Im sorry, guys, but as a coffee lover, I couldnt ignore that. Nevertheless, even with this drawback, I rate this place at 4 stars overall. What really impressed me was the atmosphere. Theyve created a cozy and pleasant space, especially outdoors, where you can enjoy your meal in the open air. The couches along the large windows are just fantastic. Very comfortable and stylish. So, despite the coffee, this place is still worth a visit, especially if you want to enjoy a delicious lunch in a beautiful setting

First time at the Grove and enjoyed it. Went for lunch there and got the Brussels sprouts, fried okra and the large Wine Love pizza. The Brussels sprouts were good abit crispy on the edges which I liked and the balsamic dressing and the nuts made it really nice. First time having fried okra and I really liked it, was a nice appetizer. The wine lover pizza was just ok for me. I know it was a wine bar but decided to get cocktails instead which were pretty reasonable at $12 each. The service was pretty good too, very friendly staff but waiter kept on forgetting to take our menus and we were sitting at the tiniest table. 6 drinks and 3 dishes ended up spending $170 for two people.

Weird review here. Food was pretty darn good. Fried okra was really good. Burger was a little overdone but good flavor. Watch the bar. They mix their wine pours at the end of the night. (Saw it several times on flights going to tables) and will pour and add glasses to tabs. Probably not going back. Real shame.
