Gross. Ordered a slice of Prosciutto and Burrata pizza. Found out after driving down the road it was soaked in truffle oil. The cardboard to go container was handed to me with no plastic bag and no warning. The foul smelling oil leaked into my car seat. The menu mentions prosciutto, burrata, arugula (which was thankfully omitted as requested), and olive oil. Nothing about overpowering, palate killing, disgusting truffle oil. The seagulls got an expensive snack. The staff were friendly and attentive, while I was there. I just wish there had been an accurate list of ingredients (I would have simply requested no truffle oil.) and a warning about the dripping lubrication.

We were greeted upon arrival by the staff. Your cooks care about the quality of the food. Your cashier was involved at the register, phone, and on the floor. The manager Jose is one of the hardest working folks on the island. He can come work for me anytime! A genuine person! Your staff deserve to be recognized for providing a family atmosphere. Ill give it a 1 cook on the pizza was amazing. the ingredients were absolute dog water. whonever in charge of ingredients needs to make a serious change. cant even taste the cheese. it made both me and my buddy very sick straight stomach turner. My family and I stopped at this place for the first time on Fourth of July, right before the fireworks show! I was surprised they were open. Nice and clean restaurant. I love how here you can order pizzas however you would like. You can order a build your own pizza by the slice or by the size. You can select how many toppings you want and pay each topping. And the prices of the toppings are based on the size of the pizza. That s the first time I ve seen a restaurant do it that way. They also have specialty pizzas if you would like to build your own. They offer some amazing desserts for after your dinner. We purchased a slice of tiramisu to share and it was the largest piece I ve ever seen. It literally fed two people. And it was delicious! Also other types of dishes, too. If I ever make it back to Galveston, I will definitely try pasta dish. Theylooked delicious also. Vegetarian options: People get to pick the toppings they want on their pizza so they can select vegetarian options if they want to. Dietary restrictions: You can direct them on any allergies that you have to ensure that you don t have any allergic reactions. Parking: Plenty of parking in the complex. Kid-friendliness: It s great for kids of all ages and they have a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Since most of their seating is tables, it s really easy to get a wheelchair up to them.

Russos has really good food and wonderful staff! Each time I order I like to try something different and have yet to be disappointed. I work at a hotel nearby and recommend Russos to everyone and they love it as well. The only small negative is the side bread, some of it can be soft but mostly chewy or hard. Definitely not a deal breaker when considering Russos

Pizza was great, came out fast and pretty polite service as well. Gave the homeless dude outside our leftovers. Drove into town late & stayed at nearby hotel on seawall. Found this gem of a place was still open. Ordered just a medium pizza with half cheese & half pepperoni. I am generally a very patient customer and give the restaurant and employees the benefit of doubt but in this case the restaurant was not busy and they just ignored the only two tables there. My husband and son got their food and they clearly saw me sitting there without my food but I had to go ask for my slice of pizza. And all I got was, Im sorry. Late night stop was a hidden gem in Galveston. We enjoyed the Insalata Caprese and a large pizza with half Italian sausage, pepperoni and mushroom and the other half Hawaiian; although almost got the fig and prosciutto. The Caprese was a huge portion, made with fresh, buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh basil, and drizzled with olive oil and balsamic. Initially, we thought wow ! We will be taking half of this home. Five minutes later, it was gone! It was perfectly chilled, fresh and delightfully delicious! We could ve walked out of there right then and been perfectly satisfied! It also came with some pizza crust thins with garlic and an olive oil dip. While their pizza dough didn t have a whole lot of flavor, it was perfectly thin, New York style pizza with super high-quality ingredients (which made up a bit for the lack of any real flavor in the crust). IMO and experience, they should allow their dough to sit for a day or two to develop some flavor. I will say that as much as we enjoyed the food, I found the walk-up and order concept that they support quite weird!!! Their personnel behind the counter literally has to instruct each and every guest walking into the restaurant that they need to proceed to the counter to order, and then take a seat and wait. Every guest we observed appeared quite confused the moment they walked in. Honestly, it wouldn t take much for them to come to your table and actually take your order. They have plenty of great staff on hand to facilitate this process. As wonderful as the meal was, their carrot cake was deplorable. It was a dried out slice of spice cake pretending to be carrot cake. Two thumbs way, way down on our dessert. Update: visited again in March 2024. Their Caprese Salad is surprisingly phenomenal AHS is one of the best I ve ever had including many we ve had at numerous fine dining establishments all over the country. Simplicity at its best. The ingredients were fresh and served at the perfect temperature. The dipping oil for their bread basket is also work tasty. Pizza was great tasting, perfectly cooked and made with high quality ingredients. BUT Manager, owner, somebody PLEASE rescue their dessert offerings. If homemade, change recipes! If outsourced, change providers. They are an insult to your business and your customer s palates. Coming from me, a serious foodie, I would rather eat a gas station carrot cake than EVER assault my taste buds with either of the desserts we tried on two different visits (carrot cake, cheesecake). Gross!! Do better! While I know desserts aren t your specialty, don t offer them if you can t offer something palatable. You can and should do better!! Even offering something that nets the minimal requirement of good not great would be a huge improvement. Here is an idea, partner with one of the local bakeries such as Paddycakes! In fact, perhaps the franchise should establish that franchisees can source local bakeries to boost other local business at each of their franchised locations. Just saying .seriously folks, these were literally inedible.

Do you want to be to transported to little Italy after a long day trudging the sands? This is your place. We asked a local guide where the best place to get pizza on Galveston was and Russo s was the immediate answer. We ordered the Halal Veggie Pepperoni that afternoon. We arrived a little early and the friendly staff told me it would be a few minutes. While I waited, I was tempted by the delicious array of Italian desserts so I decided to get tiramisu and chocolate cake as well. While I waited, I noticed how warm and inviting the ambience was. I regretted not making time to order and eat AT the restaurant because it seemed like it would be a cozy and fun experience. When we got back to the resort and tried the pizza, we were blown away. It was just so good. The pizza was cooked perfectly, the crust was delicious, the sauce, cheese, and toppings were all wonderful. The tiramisu was excellent. My biggest qualm is that Russos appears to be a Houston thing, so we won t get to have any back home. Can t wait to come back!

There are several Italian restaurants located closer to our house and we could get our pizzas faster, but their quality doesn t come close to Russo s. As always the service was great the price is decent and delivery was speedy and the driver was friendly! They learn you by name and that makes you feel like family! Kid-friendliness: It is not uncomfortable when you child is screaming or having a tantrum! You know that someone from the staff is going to come over and try to help you distract the child

The pasta was home made but the sauces were terrible and the chicken tasted frozen. The pizza was too crispy on the bottom and just wasn t what we expected at all. Their marinara is very floral in flavor and watery.

Place is well kept and staff is amazing. They were very slow today, and encouraged us to take time to look at the menu and engaged in friendly conversation. We ordered the vodka pasta, Buffalo pizza, veggie pizza, and liberty buffalo wings. Everything was an absolute hit. Perfectly cooked, an abundance of toppings. I made a mistake and ordered the vodka pasta but did not ask for no meat. When I ate it, and realized, I went to the front to check the menu and the very kind cashier told me it did have pork. I said okay and went and sat down, and he asked if he can replace it. I told him yes and they replaced it free of charge, even though it was definitely my mistake. Also they re halal, so worth a visit if you re following that. I recommend this location to you, and will come back the next time I m in the area! PS-thank you to the very kind cashier Dietary restrictions: Good for halal! Kid-friendliness: High chairs and self serve drinks.

Monday night in November and this restaurant was empty but we had great service. Plenty of gluten free options to include a 12 cauliflower crust and red lentil penne pasta. Food came quickly and was quite tasty. Be warned that adding individual pizza toppings are $2.50 each and the cauliflower crust upgrade was $5... but we are on the coast so theres that. We did enjoy the food and were glad to have GF options. They also had Halal and vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and halal.

Ive had NY style pizza all over this great country of ours. In late October 2023, I tried a slice of cheese pizza here. Its a horrible imitation of thin crust NY style pizza. The crust is pass- able flavor wise, but this slice was much too thick to be considered thin crust. The pizza sauce (which should have a zesty flavor) could have doubled for catsup - it was that bland. The cheese was advertised as Wisconsin mozzarella. It probably was, it just wasnt sufficiently melted. All of that for only $7.99, plus tax! In Denver, I can get TWO SLICES of much better NY style pizza AND a soda for the same price. If you look through their menu and specials here, youll see that EVERYTHING is overpriced. NEVER AGAIN!
