Our fist server was not very helpful, and there was a language barrierl, the second was amazing. Service was a bit clunky until the second server. The food was good. Children were running around unattended banging on the bathroom door - staff did not engage.

Clean, reasonably priced, and delicious food! Breakfast ends at 11. We were a tad disappointed but only till we received our lunch! We had the beef fajita tacos on flour - delicious! Great flavor and big chunks of meat. We shared snd were full. The small queso and guacamole aren t tiny. We had more than enough for two. Loved the thin, homemade flour tortillas! Guacamole was freshly made. Chips were toasted and the salsa verde was awesome but too spicy for me. We had tea and water but saw some huge micheladas being served on our way out. We ll go again for breakfast. Very clean, bright and inviting. Annie was one of our two waitresses, both impeccable with timing and refills on tea, water & chips. Go see them! 8/18/24 we went for breakfast! It was great except they had no bacon! We like to add a side order and split it to add crunch. They were fresh out and it was only 10 am. I had Huevos Rancheros and Husband had Migas. Large portions of refried beans and potatoes on the side. Thick flour tortillas- delicious! Very reasonable prices. Fresh hot homemade corn chips.

Absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh food. Definitely more authentic Mexican food, in comparison to Tex-Mex restaurants. Our server was attentive and kind. He noticed immediately if we needed anything. I would come back here exclusively for the salsa, queso, chips, and refreshing foundation drinks. I got the enchiladas a la diabla with beef fajita, refried beans, and rice. I liked the enchiladas, but I didnt think they were spicy enough for my tastes. The refried beans are some of my favorite. Didnt care for the rice, but it wasnt bad by any means! The parking lot is tiny, so do be aware of that. For my meal, splitting queso with friends, a drink, and tip, I spent $27. I will be back for sure!!

The service was nice, and the waitresses were very kind. The food was very good, and tasty. I got the shrimp kisses it was good but there was more bacon then shrimp and little jalapeños with no cream cheese. Both mine and my grandmas were like this. Other them that the food was still very good. The pan grilled shrimp with garlic butter was VERY good, though I dont remember was it was called. I very much recommend, prices were low, quality of good, and the service was very high

I have often found that the little, out of the way restaurants are the best. This one isnt really out of the way, but if you blink, youll miss it! Los Patrones is a great, family owned Mexican restaurant and at the risk of plagiarism, I honestly think its the best Mexican food Ive ever had. The salsa is spicy without being too hot, and the chips were crispy and fresh. My wife ordered the burrito dinner (ground beef), and I had camarones chipotle. Both were amazing! The burrito was HUGE, and filled with rice, lettuce and vegetables, along with the beef and some beans (?). My wife usually hates lettuce and vegetables, but she said this all worked together! I think it was because it was mostly beef and such. They werent using the veggies as filler, it was there for taste. She couldnt eat half of it,so I got a little taste. My camarones were grilled perfectly, and covered with a creamy chipotle sauce with sauteed onions. The fried rice was perfect, and the charro beans were spicy. We ordered sopapillas for dessert, and they were so good. Covered in honey, powdered sugar and cinnamon, they were hot and crispy and wonderful. I made my wife eat the last one (most of it), I was afraid Id burst if I had one more bite! The check came back under $50 and I started wishing we could stay in Galveston another night. Los Patrones is the Best!

In from out of town. Very impressed. Once I tried the chips and salsa I knew it was going to be excellent. Chili con Queso was delicious. Ordered the Mix Plate and it was also great. Service was excellent. Would definitely come back. My favorite thing was when I needed more salsa, they brought some out and dispensed it from a syrup dispenser. Food was so good I ordered 10 tacos to go for a few members of my group at a martial arts tournament in town. They loved them. Kid-friendliness: Excellent service

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Los Patrones, and I must say, it was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Firstly, the service was absolutely horrible . The waitstaff seemed completely disinterested in their job and were incredibly slow in attending to our table. It took forever for someone to even acknowledge our presence, let alone take our order. When our food finally arrived, it was cold and clearly had been sitting out for a while. It was evident that the kitchen staff had no regard for the quality of the food they were serving. Speaking of the food, it was absolutely tasteless. The flavors were bland and lacked any sort of depth or complexity. It was as if they had forgotten to season the dishes altogether. The portion sizes were also incredibly small for the price we paid. I left the restaurant feeling hungry and unsatisfied. Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant was extremely disappointing. The decor was outdated and tired, and the overall atmosphere was dull and lifeless. It felt like I was dining in a run-down cafeteria rather than a Mexican restaurant. To top it all off, the prices at Los Patrones were very high because they added an up charge to our bill. For the quality of food and service provided. I felt like I was being ripped off for a subpar dining experience. Overall, I would strongly advise against dining at Los Patrones. The lackluster service, tasteless food, and overpriced menu make it a complete waste of time and money. Save yourself the disappointment and find a better Mexican restaurant to satisfy your cravings.

There must have been a shift change as we got here. It took a couple extra minutes to get our order taken which honestly wasnt that long at all. But they brought us some queso on the house for the wait which was SO yummy. The gentlemen serving us were very polite. The food seemed very comparably priced and portions were huge! Definitely ended up bringing home left overs. Food was delicious. Even my picky 9 year old and 13 year old were nomming it down.

I initially ordered the gorditas: waited about 7 min. Before I was told they were out. It turned out to be a food blessing in disguise. Since I had to order something else, I chose the spicy seafood soup. Oh my! It was so flavorful. I ordered side toppings to add on, but the broth was just right, I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it, even my partner started picking at my food. The Michelada was to tomatoie. I wish theyd let me pour my own beer, I would have poured out some of the tomato juice, and it would have been just right. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience, the service was great. Will definitely be returning

This was our second time in during our three day visit to Galveston. This was dinner, last time was breakfast. Everything is solid throughout, but you cant beat the fresh handmade corn tortillas. In fact, I told my wife I dont know what Im ordering, but it will include the corn tortillas (that only cut the menu down by a third). The salsa they serve has the kick it is suppose to have. Everything tastes fresh, fresh, fresh. Service was pleasant and efficient. I spent thirty years living on Hispanic food in California and it is loaded with hideaways producing great flavor. This would rank in the top 10% of what I had there.

Wife wanted Mexican food for dinner. We have eaten at several place on the Island, but wanted somewhere new. The reviews were very good here, so we tried it! Hole in the wall place on Broadway. My wife ordered the taco plate and was very pleased with it. I ordered the poblano enchiladas with shrimp and was VERY PLEASED!!! Top 2-3 enchiladas I ve ever had!!! Delicious!!! Come dressed as you are and don t expect fancy, just expect really good Mexican food!

How a $6.99 breakfast went up to $14. Went for the migas breakfast, which was good n service was too but the final bill was disappointing. The tea was $4 n I was charged $1.50 for 3 corn tortillas when on the breakfast menu, it clearly states, ALL breakfast plates come w tortillas. Mentioned this to the waitress n she just shrugged. I told her its on the menu, so you should have your boss take it off. FYI, the migas was NOT $6.99 either. Just paid her, tipped her n left. Dont believe I will go back.

We stopped in on our way off the island for a quick appetizer and drink, it was a good choice. We had the ceviche, guacamole & their complimentary chips and salsa. I had a mango margarita and he had a michelada to drink. Everything was great. The food was fresh, light very nice. The drinks were made deliciously. Not to mention our waitress was very welcoming and attentive. Would recommend.

Read several reviews and was excited to try this place. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I found the food to be bland. I would try it again and order something else.

was very disappointed in service. I waited over 15minutes before anyone walked to my table to get a drink order even though i was seated before two tables. I guess they are in charge of who they choose to help. Tables are worn down and a small scent of old mildew. No one cracked a smile except bus boy decided to leave and head to Salsas where customer service is At. I dont recommend at all if you are a local.

Los Patrones is a great place to go for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The Staff is always courteous and quick no matter how busy it is. Michelle is my favorite. ATTN: If youre a big fan of Barbaccoa, call ahead to see if they have any left that day. Vegetarian options: Many Vegetarian and Vegan Options are available. Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions are available for most items. Parking: Parking space can be slightly limited at peak hours. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Handy Capable access to the restaurant and restrooms are easily available.
