This is a great place to get a mixture of history and stunning gulf views! See where Galveston protected itself from enemies. Check out the wildlife and try to spot dolphins in the ocean. We saw some!

It was interesting to stand at the point and imagine the history that was once experienced there. Currently there isnt much left of the fort itself but being from the Midwest it was quite awe-inspiring to view the shipping traffic going by. Definitely wear bug spray during the summer because the mosquitoes are out!

Interesting place to see enlivened by a colony of raccoons, very friendly and indifferent to the human presence. You can take video photos just a few steps away without it disturbing their daily life!

It is a interesting view at the ship channel in a great spot to watch oats go by. The fishing there seems to be active but didnt appear to be very successful probably due to the high winds. I think a little more signage and developing the place a little would make it more fun but it was worth the drive out there.

This is a place that I visit every time I am in Galveston. It is one of the best places to watch the cruise ships leave the port as they pass directly by you. There isnt a beach here, but if you make a right just before you get to the end of the road there is another road that takes you to the beach.
