Stumbled upon this place last night and thought it would be fun to check out! Such wonderful atmosphere and service. Diana at the bar was a delight! Made excellent recommendations when we weren t sure what to get to drink. Definitely check out this pier for a drink and if you are feeling lucky, catch some fish!

Ross helped me thru the day, Misty helped me thru the night. They are the best! I knew nothing and caught over 30 fish! Very friendly staff, they treat you like family. Honest, helpful!. Very friendly environment! Crossed a line or two and other fisherman where nice and understanding. Relaxing. Coming back again and again!!

spent all day Saturday here. literally from 2pm to 11pm. got coffee and had the best time the staff was super friendly and awesome! will return!! I suggest you pay them a visit! also the pier itself was full of awesome people not what I expected at all!

My son loves to come here to fish. They have a bar on the roof top. On the deck you must pay before entering depending on age it ranges up to $15 per person. They also have snacks/drinks available inside for purchase. You could bring your own fishing gear or rent from them.

After a great weekend last weekend, absolutely horrified at the rudeness of the guy working the pier this morning absolutely no concept of customer service or hospitality. The daytime lady is awesome, but the manager that came on after the night crew isnt very customer service oriented, she speaks over you when asking questions and raises her voice. They should promote the daytime lady to manager, you get a lot more bees with honey.

In my opinion it is a good place to catch good fish. But it has many disadvantages, one is that many come to smoke their stuff and I cant take my baby because of that and the managers are rude. Once I caught a shark (20 inches) and they didnt even want to take my photo and the woman didnt let us clean our fish because we had run out of time and they even wanted to charge us for the entrance fee again

When I tell y all I had a blast!!!! The drum and the red drum was caught by other people fishing the pier, but OUR drop net played a key factor in getting both fish on to the pier if you ever fish Galveston Pier be sure to bring a drop net y all will thank me later The gaff tops were mostly caught by us. Two were gifted by a guy on the pier All and all a total of 8 nice size catfish in the cooler . Looking forward to the next time.

This place is a hidden gem . We have been to Galveston so many times but this was the first time we have been here. It s a fishing pier that s open 24 hours and it s got a souvenir shop with reasonable prices in comparison to Rainforest cafe. There is also a restaurant here and a bar upstairs at the top. Will definitely be back. We were here with some family on a mini vacation. This was really nice!

Visiting Galvestons 61st Street Fishing Pier was an absolute delight! As newcomers from Boise, Idaho, we were enchanted by the serene morning atmosphere and the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The gal behind the counter not only served us the best morning coffee weve had in a while but also infused our day with warmth and hospitality. I just love this place. I have been going fishing at this pier for many years. I love the peeps that work there and LOVE that they put people s pictures on the wall with their awesome catches! I just so happen to have my picture on the wall for a 22 lb black drum from a few years ago! Cdawg is who helped me when I went just the other day- SUCH a cool guy. He went out of his way to get me all set up for my fishing experience. Thank you again Cdawg! They also just opened a full bar up top of the pier! Definitely check this place out for an amazing fishing experience! They literally have EVERYTHING you need- from poles to lures to bait AND they rent fully stocked heavy duty fishing poles that will catch big fish! CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!!!!

I was staying at the Victorian Resort, which is right near the beach (would recommend both of them!) I went to the beach just to look around, and discovered this hidden gem. The coffee, food, products, merch, and souvenirs were AMAZING. This place and Pleasure Pier were both AMAZING places to visit. 100% would recommend.

Cdawg was absolutely amazing! We always have fun on the pier, but yesterday was the bomb! My son caught 20 fish and my niece and her friend caught 10 together. 30 fish total!! Cdawg walked the pier and offered to help anyone who needed it- he even took off a few fish for us. We love the 61st Street Fishing Pier! Thanks for making our experience magical!

The fishing was good. We caught lots of fish and had a good time. The fishing pier staff was excellent! A portion of the pier was damaged and inaccessible. Its been a while since I last fished here. The pier is repaired. Everything else was still good. They do offer Senior and Veterans discounts.

Went to hotel for 2 day robotics comp, Was locked out the hotel, and I didnt want to wake up our team mates, so we walked around so we didnt fall aleep, around 1. We walked in, and the service was amazing here, talker for over an hour about robot dancing humans. And his art, it looks amazing. He trusted us to take the art and pay back later. We were able to go to an ATM and get the money. When we came back with the money, he gave us dock access and let us fish, also thought about fishing. Later, around 5, he brought us a pizza and some water, when we got inside we gave him the money we had left because we felt bad eating for free.

Fishing packages are best value, bait and tackle is a little high, but cheeper than a trip to Walmart. The staff is very friendly and helpful, As well as the other fishers. Im a fireman, not a fisherman, with that said, CDawg was amazingly helpful in showing me how to fish and best ways to set up the bait. His help along with Chris from the night crew made the whole fishing trip worth the walk and so much fun. Well worth the trip over. We fished till 230 in the morning, a night my kids and I will never forget!!

I came to fish this evening for my 1st time. I was soo impressed with the Happiness Inside .. They even opened the door and welcomed me in. I didn t get to stay long because of other obligations. Lol. But. I met a man called CDAWG and Gosh. He sure was very nice and happy and informative. With Lots of great Fishing Information and Knowledge. After meeting him. I would like to say. Thanks and Call Him Captain CDAWG What a great Accomplishment and a Privilege to be called Captain I look forward to talking to him more about his experiences at Sea and Fishing . Ive been here many years when I say its changed for the better. Everyone is helpful and for 12 bucks for an adult, 12 and up, and 6 bucks for kids 24-hour pass. Best bang for your buck if you want a place that has everything you need to fish and then some. They have bait, snack, and then some. Parts on the pier are shaded most of the day and they have wooden benches to sit down and relax. Come spend a day here, we loved it.
