Went back to try the August 2024 Burger of the Month The Dill-dozer Very tasty burger. I thought it may be a little too much for me, but it was well proportioned and the flavors bursted in my mouth. Lovely experience. 5/5 recommend the Dilldozer - I paired it with a Sherman Bock

Dropped in here as a last minute decision with hungry kids. Family of six for lunch and both service and food were great. Side salad to the burger was honestly the best Ive had! Jr burgers for the kids were what some restaurants consider full size. Our double bacon smash burgers were cooked perfectly and had great flavor and sauce. All fresh food, cooked quickly. Service from the bar tender was great. Definitely will hit this spot for burgers next time we are in the area!

My wife and I went in for a burger because we heard it was really good, our food was delievered which i had no problem with. I made a simple statement to the waiter and the next thing I know, the lefty cry baby manager came to me and said not to talk to my waiters like that. I tried to explain I was cordial just making a simple request and his lefty cry baby waiter went to his boss who then approached me. At that time I dedided we should just pack our food up and probably leave. I would reccomend if you love this country and you love Trump, dont eat at this lefty burger joint...

While I dont enjoy beer myself, my husband thoroughly enjoyed his selection, and the owner graciously shared insights about their establishment and nearby breweries. The only downside for me was the smoking near the front door in the patio seating area, but I understand its a bar. Despite that, we had delightful interactions with some locals, enhancing our overall Strand experience!

Not sure how these are the best you ever tasted . The patties were much less than a 1/4 and the 1/2 was not any bigger. Ordered with everything except Mayo and got a completely dry burger and no cheese which was ordered. The fries and Dr. Pepper were good. Not sure where the house made mustard was but we didn t get it.

After fishing and not having any luck we decided to try this place out, nice selection of beers on tap, food was excellent. The bartender was excellent, my only gripe was the red salsa was bland, maybe needed some salt or a bit more kick. Also the Avocado fries were amazing, can t believe I ve never had those before, this was the first time I ve seen them on a menu. We ll definitely be back when we hit up the strand.

A cool spot on The Strand. Had boneless wings with the most incredible sauce Ive ever had. Butterscotch Chipotle is a very interesting flvour combination that caught our eye, and we just had to try it. Flat out AMAZING!! Jeremy was very helpful and the Chef in the kitchen was very informative. I will be going home to try and replicate that sauce!!

Brews Brothers is an eclectic little dive bar that caters mostly to a college crowd, though locals from all over can find a place here. Though Brews can look a little rough from the outside, the place manages to be quite cozy once youve settled in. Unfortunately, there are no cocktail options, but if you care for beer at all, you wont be disappointed, with a huge rotating beer selection that also sprinkles in mead and ciders. More importantly, however, I have yet to find a better burger anywhere on Galveston Island. My go-to is a Heat Seeker burger with goat cheese instead of the usual chihuahua cheese, which tames the spice just a little, and produces an explosion of sweet, tart, savory, and spicy flavors all at once. But no matter which option you go for, the meat is freshly cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and at least twice the size of anything youd get from a fast-food restaurant. Like the Heat Seeker, or the rotating Burger of the Month, many of the menu options might leave you puzzled at first, but must be tried to be believed.

We came for good beers and interesting food. Our bartender told us he was the only one on duty, so we had to come to the bar to place orders. Four people, ~$130 for beers and food should have warranted a not frigid space, better service, not torched apps, and better experience overall. We re traveling and were quite excited about the menu AND especially the beer list. Maybe Thursday is an off night? Short handed?The bartender was a really nice guy, but we probably won t return. And that is sad. We need places like Brews Brothers for those of us who really like decent beer spots with fab food.

Good place to grab a beer. We wanted to try this place out because everyone raves about their burgers and we wanted to compare it to our favorite. Vibe is dark and smells like a brewery for sure. Victoria, our server, was friendly and nice. You order everything at the bar. My husband had a double smashburger with cheese. It was overcooked for his liking. Seasoning was lacking. That patties are too thick to be smashburgers. His fries were also not cooked enough and not crispy. I enjoyed their heat seeker burger with no bun. It was cooked to a perfect medium. The habanero aioli was AMAZING! I could bottle that up & take it home. Pickled serranos were fire! I agree with my hubs that the burger seasoning was lacking. If I didnt have the delicious habanero aioli on mine it would have needed S&P. It was a great spicy burger. I also enjoyed their avocado fries with cilantro ranch. Someone told me the ranch makes it, she was right. Avocado fries could use some seasoning for sure. Overall, its alright. Could return to try more items. Our favorite burger on the island remains at Mac-ies.

Cool spot. Stopped in last night for a date night to try some beers and eat some dinner. Service was awesome and the beers were all delicious The food was OK. My smash burger wasnt really a smash burger and it was overcooked. Added salt and pepper and the flavors popped a bit more. My fries were about half crispy and good and half soggy from the oil. They have live music on the weekends and were setting-up while we were in. Props to them for feeding the band for free. 3.5 stars

Our Server Tiffany was amazing. Other than that it wasn t great. Nachos were cold. Green beans were cold. Ordered the steak. It was okay. We paid extra for shrimp toppers and they ran out. They gave us different shrimp( the table next to us ordered the steak and it looked so good so we ordered it)they were small and not good. We didn t even eat them. The fries were good however I wouldn t come here to just eat fries. Mixed drinks were good. They made it right by removing this from our ticket that were cold/not great. The lady behind the bar was absolutely great and incredibly friendly. Huge selection of beers from all over. The food was very good. I had the fancy chicken sandwich, it was cooked great. Definitely would highly recommend if your in the area for a quick bite. Best bet is to park a few blocks away and walk it in the staff was great. Vegetarian options: There are a few different salads to chose from. Parking: There is parking available along the sidewalks, but your best bet is to park in the paid lot a block or two away.

This place has a great selection of brews on tap at a reasonable price, excellent tasting yet slightly messy burgers and a very friendly & attentive staff. Has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere & almost Cheers-like vibe. Also, very important to note, that the ladies restroom was super clean & well lit and had a sitting area, which is rare for a bar. The lentil veggie burger is a must try! I recommend even for non-vegans as the flavor and serving size is satisfyingly delicious. Fries seem to be homemade and are so delicious as well. The wings and burger our teenagers got said it was the best they ve ever had. Great service and delicious food! The place is chill vibes and family friendly even though it s a pub. There are non alcoholic beverage options of course and they have a decent amount of menu options for any wanting to have a full meal. Would definitely recommend and go back!

I love this place! We were just walking around and found it. I had the piggy smalls, Neapolitan ale, and fried avocado and they were all delicious!! I loved the atmosphere and the books and games made it even better! The service made you feel at home and at ease. I will come back anytime I come back to Galveston!

Wow! Their breakfast tacos, small street tacos, four to an order, were amazing! The side of flour tortilla chips were lightly fried and crispy. Awesome all the way around. Prices reasonable, quick service, great food! Keep your local businesses open during this time!!! 11/29/21 Ive been here several times for a glass of wine. They have a white similar to a Sauvignon Blanc I like. Im not a big beer drinker but this is the place go if you are! Local, exotics, sours...their hamburgers are amazing. Homemade like your momma made for you but with some pizzazz. Weve had the breakfast tacos, too, which are excellent. Yesterday I tried the fried avocado. Oh. My. Stars! One whole avocado, lightly battered and quickly fried. The result is creamy and crunchy all at once. With their buttermilk ranch dipping sauce! Most excellent! Dont forget to look on both sides of the menu. This little place has a lot to offer! Fried avocados!

This was the worst experience ever There was four of us and we sat at the end of the bar waiting for service for over 20 minutes. Talked to the bartender about service, and he said we where next waited for 10 minutes more then left Never will be back

Great beer tap list. They will sell you a cigar if they feel like it. Tried to purchase and was told we arent selling tonight. Case was open. Place wasnt busy. Made no sense. I dont know why but Id guess bartender didnt want to deal with selling it Would have had 3 more beers while smoking the cigar. Just bad business.

I have been here before but never ate. They have a wide variety of beers to choose from. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was large and very tasty. The fries are thin cut and soft with some crunchy edges. I enjoyed my meal and was very satisfied.

Great place for unique/craft brews on The Strand. Every other shop has the standard domestic beers and slushies. This place had a diverse menu of tasty beers that I ve heard of before. Prices are verrry reasonable at 2 beers for $13. It s a chill vibe. Also a nice place to cool off in the AC or on the shaded tables with chairs. We didn t eat here, but the food other people had smelled yummy. Definitely recommend!

The sign out front makes it difficult to see or notice. It is definitely worth looking extra hard and noticing though! The burgers are amazing! The fries are delicious too! They have tons of beers to choose from and their Root Beer(non alcoholic) is the best Root Beer I e ever had!

Beer selection was ok, not sure I got the correct brown ale. The ipa was great! Kind of weird ordering on walk in. Wings were flappers attached to drum. Got the hottest, but nope.
