Our server Eric C was outstanding. I came in with my hungry 10 month old and Eric was kind and had a can do attitude. It s not always easy dining with young children but he made my experience less stressful with his easy going wit. I m familiar with the moxies food menu as I often crave it. We went to Moxies with another couple and everything was top notch! The restaurant itself is gorgeous and I requested a table in a quieter section when I made reservations which was taken care of. The ambience and interior are awesome and the food was amazing. I need to give a special shoutout to our waiter Colton! We dine out all the time and mostly have great service wherever we go but he stood out! He was friendly, professional, attentive and very knowledgeable of all the items on the menu! I am vegan and he double checked with the chef to make sure what I requested was vegan. He truly made our evening extra enjoyable and we appreciate the exceptional service! So thank you!

Ill make this really clear Ill make this really clear I was sitting at the bar just wanted a couple of drinks thats it no more no less but all the sudden all that I got was I looked from a manager a couple times and he knew I needed service then the bartender just one girl working by herself and the daytime on a Thursday when when shes like helping out like 20 other people around the bar the manager just could have gone over to me and say yes sir can I help you with anything but he didnt can I have been a customer there for a while but Im sorry to say to myself maybe its best that I dont go anymore.

When it was time to pay the bill, we were told that a 20% tip was already added to the total. Well, then its not really a tip then is it?! A tip is discretionary, not mandatory. Wonder if that had anything to do with the below average service - why bother putting any extra energy into great service when you know you getting paid for it regardless of the level of effort you put into it!?

I ve visited Moxies Dallas Uptown many times over the years, but unfortunately, the experience has changed and not for the better. On my recent visit, the service was a shadow of what it once was. Despite the restaurant being far from busy (this was between 5-7 pm), the food still took an unacceptable 40 minutes to arrive. When it finally did, the server practically threw the dishes on the table with an attitude that matched the disappointing wait indifferent and unprofessional. It s disheartening to see a place that once had so much promise fall off like this.

In a prior trip I had dinner at a Moxie and I am sure there is a glowing review somewhere from me. After a long drive in from another city, we decided to dine at this location. My family of four arrived in jeans and tshirts we were completely out of place. So disclaimer #1: if you re not dressed up you will not fit in! Although we were already embarrassed, we were hungry and decided to make the best of it. As always we started with appetizers, the steak bites and potstickers were amazing. Entrees were less impressive, the steak was well undercooked and had a weird sauce on top. The shrimp tacos were salty. During the course of dinner, our service got increasingly worse and stopped all together. Eventually I flagged our waitress down and at this point we decided to skip dessert (if you know me and my pictures I always get dessert ), so we asked for the check. Y all I eat out all the time from fancy to places that might kill me and I HAVE NEVER had gratuity auto added on a small check for a family of four. SO INSULTING. I am an amazing tipper as I used to wait tables before I joined the legal profession. The point of the story is that this place will hardcore judge you. Meaningful part of my post: if you are going to be judged at a restaurant, be sure they have amazing food and service, neither of which are here.

A go here typically for brunch, but they have great dinner as well, they do a Wednesday all day special(half off wine). The food is great, they have the best calamari I have ever had, if you are really hungry try the baby back ribs full stack(thank me later lol). There s valet parking and also free parking as well, depending on the day, the can be a wait, so I advise you make your reservation ahead of time. The staffs are great, very welcoming, the drinks are amazing, and if you happen to get too drunk, there s a hotel immediately on the other side of the road haha. Try this place if you ever in Dallas. Parking: Parking is usually limited here, so I always valet. Valet is gratitude

Since this seems to be the only way I can get a hold of the restaurant. I ordered a to-go order of ramen and when I got home it was just noodles. No broth. I have been trying to call them, but apparently you can only speak with a robot and everytime I asked for a manger it just prompted me that they were busy. During my time there, I always see people standing around so Im not sure why there is no one around to answer the phone. But I guess I will go buy some broth somewhere else for my noodles

I m writing to highlight a disappointing experience with Moxies in uptown on 7/7 between 5-7pm. I met my friends for one of my friend s birthday. I met them after they had already ordered their food. I placed an order for an appetizer (calamari) and my entree was the steak frites. I have been to Moxies lots of times. The fries were disgusting. They tasted just like grease. My friends also tasted just to ensure that they did not taste like the usual. I didn t touch the steak nor eat the fries once they were not to my liking. The server heard my concern and said a manager would take care of it. We received our check and everyone had a $5 discount. We let the server know that we thought she incorrectly discounted the check because I was told the $35 meal that was not ate, would be taken off. The server said she will let her manager know. The manager took off the discounts to my friend s checks and left the $5 off the steak meal that was nit ate. The manager , Alicea Smith, came and said that she couldn t take off the meal because it was the end of the meal, when again i arrived and ordered later than everyone and did not touch the steak and tasted the awful fries and the server was made aware. She said the $5 was to compensate for the fries and I m sure fries are more than $5 and the fact that i still had to pay for the meal, she could ve offered fresh fries, instead of saying we cook everything fresh so i dont know how they could be bad. They literally tasted like bad grease and soggy. I didnt ask for anything free, I just wanted an edible meal, which included the fries i ve ordered multiple times in the past. The customer service was below par and horrible, especially paying for a meal plus 20% gratuity on something i didnt get a chance to eat.

Nice place but service could do way better. Time has passed but I went there during a weekend evening. Among other things my wife ordered an Aperol Spritz. The cocktail quality was poor, in the sense that there was almost no Aperol in it (easy to tell by the colour!) - no big deal if not that it wont taste great so we kindly asked for it to be topped up with more Aperol (she must have said the specific amount or so as they all understood each other easily - cannot recall perfectly now but I can say that my wife did some work as bartender in Italy). My wife also kindly said, if I need to pay for it I am happy to, rather than being frank and say that it was just NOT the cocktail she asked for, but you know, people nowadays likes to be overly nice and eventually missing the point (our bad there!). Anyway, cocktail comes back perfect now and all good. When we get the check, two things I did not like, 1) that only at that point we are told that a default 20% tip is applied during weekends (a bit poor manners - just say it upfront if you care), and 2) that we got the cocktail top-up as a totally separate line item and at twice the cost of the single cocktail itself (say we got something like 16$ for the Spritz and other 30$ish for the top-up, maybe because counted as 2 shots or so). Weekend evening with your wife at a late dinner, you tell me if you want to start arguing some nonsense and have a bitter evening or just let go and never come back. I chose the latter but time has passed and I almost forgot! Today, luckily for the place I got triggered by something and decided to spend 2 minutes of my time for this. Bit of a waste, I live very close to it but hey....the money itself is the least as eventually could be considered fair to pay (fine - you want it your way, do it yourself at home!), it is the care that was missing. If you even just tell me, hey I want to let you know I will have to bill you for another extra 30$ for such thing or any other stuff you can come up with, I would just rhetorically say no problem, I understand. Food itself was alright, atmosphere was too crowded and noisy for my taste but that is very subjective, or I may be simply aging faster than I thought!

This is not a direct review of our server, Jordan. This is a review of this establishments service, safety , and management. 10:00pm: we arrived at the restaurant. Upon arriving, we ordered our drinks. In this timeframe, 3 people were sat after us. Our waitress returned and took our food orders. We did NOT get our food until 11:30. When our food arrived, the other groups sat AFTER us were gone. Along with the dreadful wait times at this location, the safety of myself and other guests were put in jeopardy for a VIP guest. Moxie allowed a regular customer to smoke outside. Not only polluting the patio space with the cigarette smoke, but also made the dining experience negative due to my asthma. When we talked to one of the managers, Jason, the conversation spoken by him, went no where. He then continued to say that if someone steps off their patio, they are no longer a responsibility of the establishment. To make matters worse. The area that the VIP customers were smoking at was less than 5 feet from FLAMMABLE propane storage. Overall, we were very disappointed in the service at the Dallas Moxie location. Complaints were not taken as serious as they should, the safety of this restaurants customers were not taken into account, and the wait times were unacceptable. I hope this review helps you make a decision of whether you want to dine at this establishment or not. At least the food was good .

My server didn t introduce herself which for her sake was better because she as a person wasn t very memorable. Her service was disappointing. I got the vegan potstickers which were lovely. My meal was good until i noticed a hair in it and got grossed out. The woman manager took care of it. I just wanted my check at that point. When that was brought out i noticed the unhappy server charged me full price for my happy hour appetizer. She never really visited my table much. A guy brought my food out and i had to ask for a refill instead of it being done. She walked by several times so i took my incorrect check to the host and had a manager meet me there. The man manager got it taken care of pronto. I will say i have never left a zero dollar tip but after the lack of detail and attention from the server i was forced to leave a zero dollar tip. I felt as if she could have recovered after the hair incident but she let the whole thing go downhill. Absolutely amazing restaurant! Our server was extremely well versed in the menu and had great recommendations. We started are dinner with a Spicy Tuna Roll. The roll was a perfect combination of tangy and spicy. The tuna was so fresh, and the entire dish practically melted in your mouth. We had four entrees. The Miso Ramen was a great hearty meal; the pork-belly was perfectly cooked, and the traditional noodles were delicious. The next meals were the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and the Blackened Chicken Sandwich. Both were impeccable with a savory garlic aioli and brioche bun. Finally, we had the Habanero Mahi Sandwich. The sandwich was a good balance of spice and fresh mahi. Overall, this place earned my 5 star approval. The service was fast. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was clean and beautiful. I will be back! Vegetarian options: They had amazing vegetarian options, and a descriptive menu on all items that are vegetarian or contain gluten. The miso ramen is a great vegetarian option. It tasted perfect and had traditional noodles that melted in your mouth.

If you like places for the aesthetic then go here. If you want to enjoy your food and like what you order then dont step foot in this place. I ordered the Steak frites as my main course. The fries came cold. The steak was not hot it was luke warm. It was repulsively tough i was chewing for 2 minutes and i ordered Medium. The chimichurri on the steak was dry. HOW. Then i asked for more chimichurri because they barely put any on it didnt even cover half the steak and the one they brought out was fresh and tasty. So its almost as if they gave me somebodies old steak and redid it instead of making me a fresh plate. The service was great i cannot fault the waiters however the food was absolutely garbage. No flavor in the Tuna appetizer, no flavor in the potstickers, no flavor in the steak, we had to concoct our own flavors at the table. Bland. Mediocre. Loud and a waste of money. The drinks are just juice. I ordered the peach bourbon cocktail and had to send it back. then i ordered the cucumber cooler and it was worse. I just didnt want to irritate the waiter with sending it back as well.

This so-call-renovation of the The New Moxies is a disappointment, my food was not seasoned, all I order for dinner was a burger and fries, how do you get the season wrong on that, but yes, the fries were unsalted, and the burger had no flavor. My drinks, Bourbon Smash and Spicy Margarita, was distasteful, I returned the spicy margarita back, but suffered through the bourbon smash, the second round of drinks in place of the margarita was a Peach margarita, which was ok, I d give it a C! The whole experience was unpleasant and completely unacceptable. We decided to try Moxies Bar & grill which we have experienced in Canada a few times, so we visited this location on Friday evening. An automatic 20% gratuity is added to the total bill(including sales tax) on weekends irrespective of the amount of people, which made Our server, one of the most careless people in the world. she didnt bother to cater to the needs of the customers. She didnt come to ask if we needed anything during our dining. such as we have to keep asking any other server or cleaner passing through our table. candle on our table was not lit, and neither server bothered about it, whereas many other empty tables had candles lit. No red chili flakes, No Parmesan cheese, No black peppers, hot sauce, etc.. or anything offered or asked during our food. I saw customers next table standing up and picking napkins, extra knives forks, etc. bcos they were also tired of waiting for servers. portions are small for sure and taste-wise it is just ok. nothing like wow factor. and yes, the drinks literally felt super low on alcohol. as we had also ordered another mocktail. washrooms were not clean and messy, literally felt like a gas station washroom. Can be seen in the attached photos. We literally drove 40+ miles one way to enjoy an experience, but I doubt will ever visit again.

This was my first time at Moxies and my family and i went for Mothers Day. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice we had no complaint there, however, we did have an issue with cleanliness. Upon arrival we noticed two dogs inside the restaurant which we found to be unsanitary, the floor was also quite dirty. As far as the food goes the star of my experience was the spicy tuna roll and the pineapple basil margarita those two items were very good. My chicken sandwich was just okay it was cold when it was brought out to me so that wasnt great. Our server was amazing though so no complaints there. Overall Im not sure if Ill be back.

After a night out, trying to find something that was still open (11pm-12pm) we found great reviews of Moxies! We have now been here numerous times and the food is SO GOOD! For starters, we always have the Roasted Tomato Bruschetta. My husband typically does not care for tomatos, but he loves these. And if you run out of bruschetta, they will bring you more for free. This specific night we had the Baby Back Ribs and the Chipotle Mango Chicken - both were incredibly good. Portions are bigger and we could have easily split a meal. Their classic Margarita taste wonderful! And their Chicken Madeira Rigatoni is to die for! We have had this at the Dallas, Plano, and Houston location and each one tastes exactly the same! Service has always been top notch! We have sat both outside and inside. When the weather is nice we prefer to sit outside as its a vibe. But if you are wanting more of that intimate date feeling, inside is the way to go.

The first red flag was the valet. He tried to finesse the fee because it s the weekend . Secondly, the server that was initially assigned to us refused to serve us so Noah stepped in, thank you btw. Had a friends bday brunch there last weekend. They had a great long table for us near the bathrooms. We had 2 servers who were very attentive and expedient. The dishes were delicious! Had the open-faced salmon bagel, poutine, and avocado toast. All were excellent! One friend had the steak and eggs, and the steak was perfect! Great pink center for medium rare. i ve been to moxies multiple times with 2 or 3 people and we ve never have had checks with automatic gratuity. me and my 2 friends came (we re all servers and work in the industry) and had automatic gratuity checks. we would ve taken care of our server but we didn t get the best service because we felt like she thought because we were young that we wouldn t tip her. we all know what it s like to be stiffed on a check but like i said we would ve absolutely taken care of her, but she was barely present and then put automatic gratuity on our checks so it felt like she gave us zero effort into our experience.

I had the Nachos and Eggs Benedict at Moxies Restaurant in Dallas. This was my first time trying their food, but I cant wait to go back! The Nachos were amazing. The chips were crispy and salty, with just enough cheese on top to make it taste good. The eggs were soft and fluffy, with a runny yolk that oozed out when you took a bite of them. The Benedict was also delicious! It had thick slices of ham and poached eggs, which made for a really hearty meal. The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy, but not too thick or heavy on your mouth when you ate it with your bread. Great wine bar and restaurant to visit if your in uptown Dallas.

I must begin by admitting I should have done this review sooner, but time simply got away from me. Anyway, at the suggestion from our daughter and son-in-law during our visit to Dallas, my wife and I agreed to try Moxies, it was in late December 23. We have a Moxies in our hometown of Fort Lauderdale, however we have never tried it... we will now! I would like to take this time to mention an outstanding waitress that we were fortunate enough to have, her name is Marissa. She began to take care of us with the friendliest of smiles which to me is one of the most important things a waitress/waiter should do. She was at our table immediately telling us she would take care of us. She took our drink order and upon returning took our food order, but first she made great suggestions. Marissa returned often to ensure that everything was great, and it was. I asked for her managers name and Marissa said it was Alicia. I wanted that info so hopefully Alicia will see this review and in it I could tell her how fortunate she is to have a woman of Marissas caliber in her employ... kudos to whomever hired her.

First time here after finding it on Yelp and it was honestly such a great choice. I ordered the Royal Paloma, the Brussel Sprouts (twice) and the Madeira Rigatoni. Royal Paloma was recommended by my amazing server Sophia. She said it was refreshing and it did not disappoint. The Brussel Sprouts are more than enough for one person and had some sweetness but also some spice. They were so good that I ordered a second batch you take it to go. Lastly I had the Madeira Rigatoni which was such a filling meal and immediately warmed me up. This place was so warm and cozy where you were immediately greeted with a smile. All of the staff was wonderful and checked in very frequently to make sure everything was good. I will definitely be returning the next time that I am in Dallas.

Tries to be upscale by dressing waitresses in sexy tight black dresses, comes off very strip clubish. Food was not great, salads were ok. Service is not good. Always a server just mulling about right behind you, but not for you. You couldnt slide your chair back or you would bump into one of the employees just standing around. Manager or headwaiter or some role was constantly hovering like an angry vulture but not actually doing much of anything. Much of the seating makes you feel like you are right outside the kitchen, especially by the bar, wine rack or cash register.

Hands down, Moxies has the best French Toast in the DFW!!! I parked in the garage close to the elevators, so I got to the restaurant with no problem! My friend and I were seated immediately, and our server was this beautiful, melanated, barbie doll, by the name of Lauren. She was super nice and attentive. Anywho, I ordered French toast, scrambled eggs, and breakfast potatoes...everything was delicious, but the star was that friggin FRENCH TOAST!!!! We decided to meet up with friends and family for a little pregame before watching the stars. I had questions about reservations and Jessica & Alicia were EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating without making us feel like a burden. Service was professional and very efficient.
