This is a quaint cafe in a peaceful neighborhood. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. Loved talking to him. The food was very good. We had a nice walk around the pond in back. Got to see ducks and turtles. This was a great way to complete our dining experience. I highly recommend this cafe. Parking: We went early for dinner and parked right in front of the cafe. Kid-friendliness: This is a very family oriented cafe. Lots of families with kids were there when we were.

Best way to start the day, big smiles and southern hospitality served up with homemade dishes. Ample seating inside and out. Adult bereages and high chairs they have all the bases covered. We enjoyed our breakfast inside then went for a stroll by the water. So good you dont want to let the secret out. We came here on a terrible weather day and everyone had the same idea. They were swamped with people! They handled the swarm with grace and got our food out timely. The tacos were great and so were the cookies! This is the only casual place to eat a meal in this little part of Galveston and they are a good one. I would come back here.

Overpriced and not particularly tasty food. Dark brown fried chicken. Dirty utensils from a bunch in a cup by the drinks. Very noisy like a school cafeteria. Order at the cashier and pick up yourself. Plain refried beans with no taste, plain steamed broccoli, plain tasteless roll that is really just very plain tasteless bread in a muffin shape, plain everything that you could make or defrost at home. Pay $1.50 extra (not mentioned on the menu) for Premium sides like Onion Rings or Waffle Sweet Potato, despite saying the meal will include one or more sides you can choose. One single bathroom room (1 toilet) for the entire establishment. On the upside, very clean with a nice look inside and out. But overall very not worth the price.

Found this hidden gem while visiting Galveston and absolutely loved it! The customer service was superb They had games outside for the kiddos to play, small shops outside with super cute things! This place is in a prime quaint location. But thats all it has unfortunately service horrible, we were first when they open our breakfast took 35 minutes pancakes cold tough and syrup cold place dirty floors not sweep Outside forget about trying to enjoy scenic dirty tables caked on food on table gross flies on every table. Trash overflowed. I blame owner definitely not pride of ownership. Simple common sense fix. Save your money you will immediately lose your appetite. What a shame! Too bad restuarant dont have health dept grade Post. This place wouldn get a D. I question positive review but obviously posters lying or have no cleaning standards. Super cute place with fresh and fantastic food! The chicken quesadillas were perfect; the sausage, cheese and pico omelette was delicious and the biscuit was amazing. The catfish was also perfect and the chicken sandwich (swapped tomato for avocado was so good) (suggested by the awesome lady who took our order). Forgot to take pics before we started but the presentation of food was also really nice. We ate outside in the shade. Very relaxing. I went to what I thought was going to be great little spot to enjoy breakfast with my husband was not. We placed our order & waited approximately 30 mins. When it was finally ready, my husbands order wasnt even what he asked for. I ordered French Toast, which was fine, but it didnt come with any maple syrup. I had to ask for it. So I went to the counter and asked the employee how much longer, she stated soon. 5 minutes later, We finally received our food. I ordered chicken fried chicken, but they gave me chicken fried steak. So, after 35 minutes later, I got no food, and they were so busy that it would take too long to reorder, so I got a refund. The employee did not offer anything to me when they screwed up. Self serve restaurant with no wait staff. Located in the whitest community I ve ever seen. The bacon had pepper on it and based on the general population of the patrons I can only assume that they think it s the spiciest seasoning like ever . The pancakes were bland and the eggs were unseasoned and burnt. The restaurant is overcrowded with too many tables making it difficult to serve yourself and pick up your food when it is ready. You are alerted that your food is ready by a disc that beeps - so the whole time you are eating all you hear is the constant beeping of other people s discs going off to alert them that their food is ready. They somehow managed to make eating breakfast a stressful experience. If the food had been good you could over look the poor atmosphere but sadly the food was not up to par.

This place, wow, I can not say enough good about it! It is the absolute moat hidden gem of the best Galveston Restaurants! We lived on the island for years and moved away a few years ago. If this restaurant was around back then, we probably would have never moved off of the island and moved close to this restaurant! The best fish tacos I have ever eaten, along with the best Huevos rancheros in Galveston and the Quesadilla, were amazing. Yes, I sampled all of my familys food, lol. This is a Hidden gym in Galveston. Their breakfast is top-notch. They also have a beautiful outdoor area where you can sit and eat that is pet friendly and definitely kid friendly. We played outside and totally enjoyed the atmosphere for about an hour after we ate our breakfast. Highly recommend recommended and we will definitely be back. Parking: On the main street, the park seems to be very limited but if you go around the rear of the restaurant, there s a pretty good size parking lot with ample parking. You don t notice it at first, but once you see the parking lot should be pretty easy to find a spot. Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair ramp is in the back of the restaurant, but I saw several people using it with no issues.

Got the biscuit and gravy and the huevos burrito and it was the best breakfast i ve ever had here. The biscuits fell apart and were so fluffy and the burrito was full of flavor and perfectly spicy. Will be coming here every time i visit!

Absolute GEM of a hostess (Paula ) and the food... At least the build your own Omelette which I had this morning, was amazing tasting, generously portioned, and excellently priced. Plus the coffee was good! Great value in a wonderful atmosphere, will be back for breakfast tomorrow!

Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and while I was eating I bit into a jagged bone. I brought it to the attention to the waitstaff to let them know just in case that happened to someone else. The girl was very nice and pleasant but informed me she would talk with the owners to let them know and get back to me. When she came back she stated I told them what happened, showed them the bone in the sandwich, but they said they didn t care . She was very apologetic but hearing her say that the actual owners said they didn t care blew my mind away. I am very appreciative of the waitstaff, but shame on the people who run that place. Poor business ethics. Most definitely not a place I would go to again or recommend.

Great food! Second visit in a month. This time for lunch during Spring break, just four of us. 2 had a great breakfasts, hubby had peppered pork chops, with phenomenal coffee. Me a burger and fries, cooked exactly as ordered and a Coke. All the food was fresh, plentiful and tasty. Quite crowded, but service was still friendly, prompt and efficient! I dont know how they do it , but they are fabulous. We can hardly wait to return. Yum!

Finally brought my husband and my favorite cousin out for dinner. We had the shrimp poboys and the fish tacos. The shrimp were fried lightly with the perfect hint of seasonings and so sweet and tender on a beautiful house made poboy bread that was perfectly tender and yet had an excellent snap on the outer layer, topped simply with flash sliced tomatoes and the right amount of shredded lettuce and drizzled with a beautiful sauce that pulled all flavors together. The fish tacos were light and melt in your mouth deliciousness. Cant wait to go again. Love our perfect little Cafe and beautiful surroundings. Kid-friendliness: Fun outdoor play area with seating. We can only give a 4 star, only because we had take out and so we can t rate the restaurant. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We were missing a side and some sauces but that did not take away anything from the dishes. And I did call, just to let the restaurant know (not to complain, because we had already eaten) and Chandler was apologetic and understanding. And the next time, we get a free cookie. We will dine in next time.
