This was an anniversary dinner. My first time to come to this restaurant. It was loud and chaotic. The server had the worse breath I have ever smelled. It was nauseating. I asked for an 8 ounce filet well done. He informed me . Not asked me it would be butterflied. I voiced concern about that but the server decided that was what was to be done. When the steak came out it was1/4 inch thick and tough is beef jerky. The side dish of fresh corn had silk from the corm in it. That was similar to eating what felt like hair. The noise level prevented me from talking or hearing my fiancé. It is amazing to me that I can order an 8 ounce filet at Salt Grass Steakhouse and not butterfly it and have it be amazing but 3 forks is unable to do that. The evening was a disaster. And if I am dining at what is supposed to be an upscale restaurant,then do not wrap the bread in a napkin and put it in the center of the table. No basket or plate. Thank you and your server for ruining my anniversary.

Server will tell you exactly what they have on the menu and recommend the perfect meal for you. Asked for an extra charred steak and got exactly that - these folks really know how to maintain the quality of their meats. Also had a great wine selection and unique atmosphere. Was invited here on a business dinner but looking at the menu its worth the price. Definitely coming back here again when Im in Dallas.

The only restaurant I give a perfect review to because I believe they offer the best food money can buy from any restaurant anywhere in the world. You eat the best food found anywhere while seated in a beautiful and luxurious; while still very comfortable environment. It has a cozy, friendly, warm, & inviting atmosphere so as to combine everything together with a mix of only the right sort of people to make 3 Forks my personal favorite restaurant in the world for the reasons that it maintains the best of the best in every possible area that I can judge, review, and express an opinion about.

This is a place you go to if you are looking for a restaurant with uncompromising dedication to quality. A gold standard in fine dining, Three Forks serves its guests with utmost attentiveness, anticipating anything you both lack and desire. This is a place you keep like a card in your sleeve to impress a romantic interest or rekindle a long burning flame. You will want to try the dry aged cuts or the Wagyu. I recommend the fried lobster for appetizers- although they are a small portion, the flavor is worth it. Expect to pay a premium in consideration for excellence.

I recently hosted a celebratory dinner at III Forks to mark a significant milestone in my life: being officially named Dr. MacKinnon. I gathered a group of 12 friends and family for what was intended to be a memorable evening of drinks and dinner. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. The evening started on a promising note with a warm ambiance and an inviting atmosphere. However, the service throughout the night was hit and miss. We encountered multiple hold-ups with our drink orders and bottles of wine, which dampened the celebratory mood. For an event of this significance, we hoped the restaurant would have gone out of their way to enhance our experience, perhaps with a managers visit or some acknowledgment of the occasion, considering the considerable amount of money spent. Instead, we found ourselves constantly chasing down our waiter for service. Despite placing a detailed order, three of the family sides we requested never made it to our table, adding to our disappointment. This lack of attention to detail and customer care significantly detracted from the evening. While the food itself was good, a great restaurant excels in all aspects, including service. The uneven service and unfulfilled orders overshadowed what should have been a special night. As a result, I will not be returning to III Forks for any future family dinners or celebratory events. We are now in search of a venue that delivers not only good food but also exceptional service to match. In summary, while III Forks may offer a decent dining experience, our celebratory dinner did not meet the standards we expected for such an important occasion. We look forward to finding a restaurant that can provide a more consistent and attentive service for our future events.

We always celebrate our anniversary at III Forks if we arent out of town. Their food and service is so good. The fried calamari is perfect not chewy. The lobster bisque is excellent. Their steaks are amazing and cooked to perfection. I always get the bone in ribeye medium. The sides are great and our favorite is the bread pudding its to die for. They always give you a signed card for anniversaries and free cake.

Overall was a decent experience, took my girlfriend here for dinner. Parking was weird. There was a whole valet situation but I just wanted to park my own car so I found parking across the way at some hair boutique which wasn t very far. Was pretty dark in there. It was kind of empty as well, but that s not necessarily a bad thing. Tables were pretty close together but not a big deal. Overall I wouldn t say the food is quite worth the price, it was just okay. However it was a nice experience overall. Don t think I d go back but I wouldn t say it s because of anything they did wrong Food was just okay.

Absolutely fantastic! The lobster bisque had us awe struck with how creamy and flavorful it was. There were generous pieces of lobster in the soup and the bread the served with it was soft and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly to my liking and the kings butter was so luxe, a perfect complement to the steak. The creamed corn was also very good. We loved the cook on the calamari. Tender and warm but somehow perfectly crunchy. Yes, the prices are definitely up there but if you got something to celebrate and want to dine in luxury, III Forks is the place!

Classic and delicious steak house. I highly recommend the Creme Brulee- I am not a huge fan of crème brulee but they put a little extra something citrusy in it that makes it very special. Also the pepper sauce on the steak was incredible. Our waiter was excellent.

Such a delight to eat here. A wonderful dining experience without having to travel into the heart of Dallas. If you love steak, sea bass or just a great wedge salad, would recommend III Forks, a well-known Steakhouse in DFW. Recommend you valet as parking can be a bit tricky.

UPDATE 4/10/2024 Food, service, and ambiance- right on point for this (and all other previous) visits. We were welcomed at the hostess desk by Cameron. She asked us if we were celebrating anything special and I told her that every year on April 10th my Mom and I commemorate my Dads life at what were - at some point in time - his favorite restaurants. I am so glad we chose III Forks because we were truly looked after very well by our server Andrew. We thought he was delightful. He hasnt completed one year, and yet he was extremely knowledgeable about the Menu. He was engaging, attentive, and friendly while suggesting menu items that were new additions since we last dined here (for my Moms birthday and again for the seasonal Copper River Salmon back in June of 2023). Gotta have bread and butter for the table and it was absolutely worth every bite. Love the touch of the coarse sea salt directly on the pat. We started things off with the Ketel One Mule. Just the right amount of spiciness from the ginger beer, and flavor of vodka and lime juice. Ordered the Diver Scallops with Bacon Jam (excellent), followed by the III Forks Salad without the Bleu Cheese (also excellent), the 6oz Filet Mignon with all the fixins (cream corn, snap peas, and whipped potatoes with tomatoes and green onions), the 8oz Strip Filet with a succulent Lobster Tail, an order of Six Cheese Potatoes, and Mandarin Orange and Chocolate Ganache for Dessert. Had to box up the remainder of the Steak as well as the Dessert, but we enjoyed every bite the following afternoon and thought that the food quality has increased since last time. Never a bad meal here - this time was markedly different in a good way! And - we will continue the three-times-a-year tradition and indulge whenever we choose. Love the energy here and the vibrance of the intimate dining space. Bonus points for being less than 2 miles (and right around the corner) from our home. I would definitely request Andrew the next time we dine here! Launa visited our table during our meal and it was great to see her again! Chef Chris knows what he is doing and it is clear that his culinary skills truly shine and are a testament to his commitment and high standards of excellence. We were just here celebrating my Mother s 73rd Birthday on 6/3/2023 and it was exquisite, so naturally when Donald, our server, mentioned that very evening that they were going to receive their seasonal shipment of Copper River Salmon by the following week, we knew we had to try it. There is a reason we keep III Forks on our short list of restaurants. We are semi-regulars because we appreciate the ambiance, professional work ethic, and attentive tableside service. Started things off with a Love Potion each for cocktails and split a III Forks Salad (without the bleu cheese) for an appetizer. Initially, we were told by Mike, our server, that they were completely sold out of the Copper River Salmon. I was visibly crushed, but it turned out that they had ONE left in the back. Talk about timing! It was absolutely divine, not to mention THE highlight of the evening. Flavorful and perfect temp with Asparagus Spears and Cilantro Basmati Rice with a Caper Beurre Blanc. Worth the wait! On this night, Sarah was the hostess. Launa and Melissa also checked on us at our table during our meal. Mom enjoyed her Chilean Sea Bass. Both excellent. I went there Saturday night for dinner. It has an awesome atmosphere. When you walk in you know you are in for a treat. The staff is warm and welcoming. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food is the problem. When you go to a top notch steakhouse, you expect the food to match the price. The 3forks salad used to be a signature dish, tonight it tasted ordinary and the pecans were not candied. I ordered an 16oz NY Strip. More than half of the chewy steak was wasted. I had to chew to remove the steak from the waste. I should have sent it back but its not what I do. The kitchen staff that cut the steak should have seen this. Needless to say it ruined my evening. If you go, do yourself a favor and do not order the NY Strip.

Brent, fantastic service. Comparing 3 Forks to Christners in the greater Orlando area, Davios in Boston, 101Steak, Marcel or Little Alley in ATL, Shanahans in Denver, the atmosphere and service all compare favorably. The steak, mine, a 10oz filet medium rare, topped with Kings Butter was nothing short of amazing. My father ordered the bone-in ribeye oscar, my wife the Chilean sea bass and my mother a typical combination of appetizers and salads. Crab cake, 6 cheese potatoes and an indulgent salad. I havent seen service at this level since a trip to Halls Chophouse in Nashville, which offered absolutely outstanding service. My wife prepared to take our daughter to the restroom and asked our server Brent the general direction to the restroom. He quickly informed my wife there was not a proper changing table but offered this way with a gesture informing he would show her the way. My father interrupted this process by asking his (Brent) opinion on steaks. Without so much as a pause in conversation, Brent attended to my father while quickly tapping his coworker to inform him his services were needed to guide my wife and child to the restroom. This seamless interaction might be lost to many, but family and I were thoroughly pleased and appreciative. The food arrived in a timely fashion and the flavor was incredible across the board. I should retreat temporarily and say both the bread and calamari were amazing. The old fashions were top notch as well, comparing well with those at Peter Luger, my current favorite old fashioned and a great steak. We were celebrating my fathers birthday and they offered a card and concluded with two desserts. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Im certain Im leaving some comparisons out, like Sunset Terrace in Asheville and a few on the west coast but suffice it to say Brent and 3 Forks left quite the favorable impression and I look forward to our return in the future. Kid-friendliness: Our daughter was accommodated in every way. High chair was waiting at our table, as well as a small plate and plastic cup with a lid and a straw. Catered to in every way.

The staff was fantastic. We came here for Valentine s Day dinner and it was a great experience. The food was amazing!! They were very busy which was expected so we did wait a while for our table, even with a reservation, and food. The only con for the atmosphere was how close together the tables were, I felt like we were having dinner with everyone there, not great if you are there for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but will hopefully get a chance to try it next time!

Went for my birthday. One of our tables salads was completely missed and it took 20+ minutes to get fixed. Again, 20+ minutes to fix a salad. For my main, my medium steak was served rare and it took until everyone else was finished with their main course for my replacement to be delivered. Server tried his absolute best but the kitchen had a terrible night. Handful of other small things that made you think twice. Hopefully this is not a traditional example of III Forks because I could not suggest it to anyone based on my experience. They ended up comping my meal which I couldn t eat so, at least, that was unexpected, appreciated, and above and beyond.

In addition, the filet mignon for me and my wife was awful. It s almost like it wasn t filet cut and a different cut of meat. I wish I had taken pictures. My dinner was fabulous! I had a nice, thick, juicy, medium rare ribeye. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also had a share of the fried lobster, lobster mac & cheese, and crab cake appetizers. They were delicious. I cant wait to visit III Forks again.

We had my birthday dinner at III Forks and mark my words. It. Is. Fantastic. Our server, Nick, was attentive, caring, personable, and overall a great guy. I had the ribeye and my partner had the filet. Both were perfectly cooked and expertly paired with our cocktails. Nick thoughtfully and proactively brought desert (though I have no idea how I found the willpower to eat it). Will return here for any occasion!

You are paying for atmosphere and service not for the food. I have been here 4 times for different meetings the food is good, but not great. Steaks are close to that of a Salt Grass Steakhouse but at 8 times the price. There are party pleasers like the A5 Wagu but honestly the flavors just are not exciting, nor are the sides. Everything is good, but basic. Now the servers and staff are exceptional, attentive, and noninvasive. They are fantastic, remember your name and are worth the extra cash. Atmosphere is classic upper class dark steakhouse. Nice for a date or comfy meeting. Cocktail bar is a bit tight. All things considered if you are near by it is a solid option, but not one that I believe that you should go out of your way to try or to save your money to go to. If you re looking for something exciting and different that takes risks, there are many better options in the Dallas Fort Worth area.

My waiter John was phenomenal, great guy! However, waiting over an hour for entrees was ridiculous. Even when I got plate, my plate was incomplete, I still needed to wait an additional 20 mins for my lobster so my steak and sides were cold. Our bill was $250 so this kind of service was not worth it. I can taste how fast my food was cooked. Another note, I thought it was annoying that other guests were able to get a discount due to their service but my date and I could not get the same outcome. Our reservation was at 7 30pm and we received our entrees at 9pm. I won t be returning but I enjoyed speaking to John. The only reason why I gave an extra star!

Dined here for a speaker event on a pre fix menu. 10/11/2023. Steak was cooked perfect medium rare and juicy. Excellent crust and just enough salt. The servers were extremely attentive and thoughtful. They did their jobs while minimizing their prescene as the speaker had the stage. Great steak, would love to try a cocktail next time. I will definitely bring my family here next time!

Horrible experience. Table top service is poorly attended too. John walked around greeting all table except those with black patrons. Luana another manager comes by after a complaint of service, however she stood by and ignoring us as well. Once acknowledged every effort was lost due to poor service. Food very sub par. Papas Bros is far better. The mushroom were disgusting. Personally I would never go back. The one black person in the restaurant waited on us. Needless to say we are black and I will never visit this place again. And I suggest anyone of color not either. Again papas bros is far better I should have went to there for my 47th birthday.

What a big disappointment! I took my husband to Three Forks to celebrate his birthday. I wanted him to have a superb dining experience. We got a regular dinner with a overpriced bill. The portions were small and some what tasteless. My husband had the boneless ribeye and I had the swordfish special. The calamari was good. The sides were very small In portion. The dessert for his birthday was brought out without asking what my husband preferred.The waiter made the decision for him. I would suggest, Eddie Vs or Capital Grill, I ve had wonderful dining experiences at both of these restaurants. I expected excellent food and great service. They failed on both. I want my money back. Parking: If busy parking might be a problem.

One of the best restaurants I ve ever been to. The ambience, food and service was just out of the world! Madeline was absolutely welcoming and gave us the best experience of the evening. Chicken fried lobsters is a new dish on their menu and it was lovely. Onion rings were good too. I had the American Waugh NY strip which was super juicy and one of the best steaks I ve ever had. Chilean Seabass was so creamy and well cooked. Roasted chicken - the only chicken dish they had was super cheesy and flavorful. Finally the 6-layered ganache cake just blew us out! Kid-friendliness: While making the reservation, I had asked for a high chair baby seat and they had it ready when I was there. They have a separate kids/young adult menu.

If I lower the bar for this caliber of restaurant, it would receive 5 stars. Is the decor dated? Is it much darker than it needs to be? Was the food spectacular? Our tab was 600$ for 4 ppl. But Ive had better food and better experiences elsewhere. Lets compare! The shrimp cocktail is ok. I feel the cocktail sauce has spice in it that is substituted for horseradish. Bohanons and Bobs shrimp cocktail is better. The spinach artichoke dip tastes like pizza. It comes loaded with semi-melted shredded cheese which makes it undesirable. Perrys version beats this by a longshot. Next, we had wedge salads chopped for us. It could have been better. The blue cheese was not impressive. Our steaks were the wagyu 4oz filet with a 10oz lobster tail, a 6oz surf and turf Oscar, and 2 4oz filets with creamed corn, snap peas and mashed potatoes. Our entrees were delicious. Service was meh. We ordered everything at once at the request of the server. Our salads arrived before our appetizers. There was not enough support for the server as we had to constantly ask her to remove dishes as no one came by to do so. All in all, this place did not leave any want to return.

My wife and I went for a celebration dinner at iii Forks. Walking in it was very dark. Eyes definitely had to adjust. At the greeting station there was a wine closet but very hard to see. I do like when they present the wine room well even though I m not a wine connoisseur. Music was ok. Almost a jazz style, instrumental only. I prefer it a little quieter so that conversations are easier. Having never been to iii Forks we tried similar dishes that we eat at other fine restaurants to compare. In general, the food is good with large portions. I had a glass of 1792 Bourbon on ice. So, not a hard drink to make and was not over presented. I actually prefer the medium size square of ice. I selected the filet mignon. Having not eaten here before I was worried about a medium steak being too bloody for my taste and not knowing how they would prepare it. It was a little too dry. Yes, likely because I got it medium well. I ll test at medium from now on to get a true comparison. My wife selected the crab cakes and compared to others she s had, they are very creamy, and large portions, but the flavoring was a bit too much. The Brussels sprouts were cooked in an almost sweet and sour style sauté sauce. Not as much of a fan. We prefer just a butter sauté. But again, large portions. Desert: dang. Pow! Chocolate mouse and chocolate cake with toasted coconut crust. Also large portions. Overall I would give it 4.5 stars but google only lets me give 4 or 5. My reason is due to the price and what you get for your money along with atmosphere and what you could get at a comparable restaurant.
