Used to love this place, but after they sold, they have gone downhill in a bad way. The pool tables are stained and gross, the bathrooms are disgusting and they wanted to charge $5 to use their darts (which is actually fine), but they didnt even have three that matched. They lost at least $100 in food and drinks on principal alone. Best of luck...

I had gone in to play some pool for about an 1 1/2 hour and order one drink. I didnt notice that they automatically charged me a gratuity of 20% on my bill. They should let you know verbally that theres a gratuity already applied. Im not sure Ill be going back, and theres a sign over the register that says that you must spend $10.00 or more. I understand it is a bar and restaurant with darts and pool tables. Maybe the owner is trying to keep people from coming. They do have pool league players, and I bet they must send a lot to have leagues there. The pool tables look clean, and the place also looked clean. I hope that the place can survive.

I came here about 2 months ago and had a mixed experience. My fiancé and I booked a pool table and wanted to sit down for a bit after playing. We sat down in front of what I assumed was a small black checkbook from other customers tabbing out. 5 minutes later this older gentleman in a plaid shirt asks me why I took his spot. I apologized and told him I had no problem at all giving him the chair back and he sarcastically told me I could have never of known that was his spot because all his stuff was on the bar (literally just a small black notebook). The guy grabbed his notebook and walked behind the bar, so I also assume he works there. 10 minutes later I saw him yelling at a quiet group of guys playing pool so maybe he was having a bad night. I had a different gentleman bartender come up to me who was very nice and helpful and offered to refund our darts because he might have charged us with every board full. His service was great and kept us from an overall poor experience.

Food is good. Service is good. They USED to have half price appetizers before 7pm on our billiards league night. They stopped it recently. I think thats gonna hurt their bottom line. Ill just eat at home before or after the matches.

WARNING: if you shoot pool they hide the fact that they automatically put a 25%+ tip on your whole bill. Then they want you to tip on top of that. It was good bar food. We got the nachos and quesadillas and it was tasty and you got a lot for the price. Tables were clean. Sticks need replaced, several tips were busted when we were choosing. The place over all was clean. They claimed there would be a server coming around to us but we had to go to the bar to get drinks and order food. Not a fan of being forced to tip to rent a pool table. I am a good tipper for service but cannot understand being forced to tip for that. I probably will never go back there due to that reason.

Really impressed with how this place continues to improve. I ve been coming for years and new management is always open to suggestions and they ACTUALLY IMPLEMENT the requests. So refreshing . Tables are immaculate and some of the best in town. Prices are reasonable considering the area. Has definitely become my go to for pool or football. Ask for Eric, Bryan or JJ. Finally bartenders that still remember how to serve drinks with a smile!

Beware of fraud charges on your card! I was billed $30 for food that I didn t order. Told the bartender about it and they agreed to refund the amount. They didn t refund it. I called about it again and was told the owner would call me back. Owner never called. Filed complaint with credit card company and snookered provided a forged receipt to state that I agreed with the charges. The was my first and last time here.

This was a great pool hall. The staff are wonderful. Bartenders are friendly and super attentive. The food is great for a pool hall. The pool tables are nice 7ft diamonds but could be kept up better. Only drawback is the ac. We DEF. Need AC working in this Texas heat. I would have give. 5 stars if the ac worked.

Sat at the bar, and not one server/bartender took my order. Went to the spot where the employees gathered, and place my order there. Sat back at the bar and watched bartenders and servers either standing around or playing pool. I was there for over an hour and had the one beer. I guess this place needs a sign or something saying order beer here, because they wont serve you sitting at some places of the bar. Also I think the tacos gave me food poisoning.

I gave the 1 star rating only because it is really hot as their A/C is out and has been out for a few weeks and no changes, so great place but be mindful you will definitely sweat in this establishment

Loved the bar - great vibe! We came in before a concert and came back afterwards for a couple drinks. Was shocked as hell that when we closed our tab they said we had to have a $80 minimum to close the tab. I ve worked at many bars and restaurants before. A $10 minimum to run a credit card but a $80 is just ridiculous!! Highway robbery.

Not as good as when they first opened. Bartenders werent all that friendly and be careful when closing your tab. There were 3 of us with separate tabs, and they charged gratuity to the two of us with bar tabs yet didnt inform of this. I didnt think to look for it because it was a single person but my friend caught it. So, on a $60 tab, they made a $20 tip and have lost a customer. Ill go elsewhere to play pool after this. I take care of my bartenders, but dont expect to be blindsided by them either.

Just want to say I ve came here a lot before to play pool and shoot darts always great but I don t know what the girls name behind the bar was but off the bad had a piss poor attitude towards us ordering drinks and immediately told us that no pool tables were available so goodluck and was just not a great experience left before we even got our drinks because of the service.

Imagine our surprise when, in response to our request for a saucy redo, we were introduced to the concept of paying twice for the privilege by the establishment s lead . We were out on a date night and were driving by and decided to check it out. We are so glad we did, this place is awesome. It has a great atmosphere. It s got that small town bar fill with an upgrade. They have pool tables, dart boards and TVs everywhere so you can t miss any of the game. And the food was amazing, definitely the best bar food we ve ever had. The drinks were also amazing and nicely priced. Service was fast and incredibly friendly.

[This is the original review 5-star review. Please see below for a 2023 update after new ownership.] This is my favorite place to play in North Dallas. If youre a casual player youll find a non-intimidating, well-lit and smoke-free environment with a friendly staff. If youre a serious player, youll find plenty of 8-foot and 9-foot tables in great condition with lots of room around the tables (enough for our 5-man teams to play on league night.) I hear the place is run by a player, so theres hope they will be well maintained. The food is very good with more mature offerings than your typical bar menu. There are even a few craft beers available. This higher end menu comes at a price; be prepared to spend 10-20% more for the food than you might expect at a typical pool hall. TABLES [This section is for the serious player.] There are 8-foot and 9-foot tables. If youre looking to play snooker or three-rail billiards, youll need to find another spot. The 9-footers are Gold Crowns and play great (as good as you would expect.) The 8-footers we played on are Imperial brand tables. They play well enough, but be aware that these tables do not have the best construction. If you bump the table in the wrong direction (lengthwise) you can expect a bit of table top movement (with the possibility of shifting balls.) ** 2023 UPDATE: When Tailgaters took over Snookered, they made a number of changes. Months ago, the tables were all moved as part of a remodel / interior rearrangement and were never leveled properly (many of the tables roll off as much as a half-diamond to a full diamond.) The tables are also crammed tighter together in their new space making for tricky logistics for team league play. During the warmer months, they had difficulty maintaining a reasonable temperature (many players sweating from the heat.) Perhaps as a mitigation measure, they would open the large garage-door style windows which surround the pool tables. This introduces a lot of humidity (any advanced player will know what this means.) It really feels like the new owners do now value pool players or the leagues. The staff has also had a complete turnover with the new owners. As much as I miss the previous staff, the new staff is just as good as the previous. They are the only saving grace of the new place.

The food here is not good! Everything tasted frozen and pre-made. Also, they dont have prices on the menu which is kinda sketch. Place was dead during a cowboy game but I guess I know why now. Looked like a cool place. Service was friendly and fine. Just the food was below average. The bone in wings werent too bad. Stay away from the catfish, mac&cheese, and coleslaw. All horrible.

They have by the hr pool tables and other sports bar games. The staff was very nice. The drinks could have been better but I think its just due to the new staff finding their way. My only complaint was the bathroom. It needed attention.

Recently purchased by Tailgaters. The new owners are new to pool so might take a while to adjust. I think the owners are more of a bar type than a pool room type. They removed the two nine footers out of the main playing area. They moved one to the dining area but didnt level it last I checked. They also were using those cheap balls for the big table. Those balls play light and small. I used to go there every week but now is not as enjoyable. I may go back but not my first choice anymore. I was not too happy that they fired Taylor after a few days. From what I understand, she was the one that brokered the sale. No good deed goes unpunished I guess. I see that the owner commented but he obviously was not paying attention and has bad information. I know what happened. I was there. On a sidebar, ownership also doubled the rates on weekend days for the nine footer. I guess the normal 10-25 percent rate hike wasnt good enough for them. I would have to rate this establishment as two stars vs three.

The place is Good. Clean. The problem is things are not consistent, like food. Every month the chef changes so do the food. Compare to a year an Half ago the food quality & Taste was great and Now its going down. Eg: their Flatbread, compare to what they had in the beginning is totally different on what they have now. If you like to play pool, this is a good place to go. If you want a drink, you might have to wait for a minute. But they are usually good about making a round every so often and the staff is friendly. There isnt an outside patio and its a bit pricey. Selena, Stephanie, Coco, and DeMarcus are the main bartenders at this location. This place is not open on the 4th, why? This is when you would make money....! Your loss.

A really chilled out and laid back place to play some billiards and have a few drinks with friends. UPDATE: have been multiple times since my last review. Food is inconsistent and average at best. It seems like a high turnover rate for the cooks. Which isnt bad if they arent good, but find some good cooks (we all know it is tough to find workers right now). There was one cook that was really good. Never had an issue when he was working. But I heard he is not there anymore. Pool and leagues are still a problem. Bar service. Depends on what night you go. The worst night is Wednesday. I wont put names on here but the male bartender who has been there some time now and the female that works the league are terrible. No other way to put it. They will stand behind the bar and talk to each other while people are standing at the bar trying to order. Be ready to go to the bar for everything. They will bring your food to you but very little else. There is no sense of urgency with these two. Yes when a place is busy and workers are running around you know it will take time to be served. But when they are always standing and talking to each other and not work the room, there is no excuse. They are so bad there is no way I will come on their work days anymore. After new ownership problems still exist. Prior to new ownership this place was a 1 star because the service, food, layout. Now it is 2 stars because the food is still terrible (though the menu now fits more the atmosphere) but the cooks may have not changed. The new layout of all 7 foot tables is disappointing. Tailgaters is turning this into more a sports bar (which is not a surprise) with a focus on league players. So much so that open pool is non-existent and not a goal of theirs. Service is a little better but only a little. Hard to say if the poor service is because of the current difficulty getting workers like everywhere else. So time will tell on the service. It is no surprise that the old owners are out, more surprised they didnt lose the business during the last few years. Tailgaters will not turn this into a great place to play pool. Not sure how long this place will survive in its current operating model.

We had actually stopped going to this place due to the poor attitudes of previous owners. Customer service was not their thing. We spent the whole weekend there for a tournament this last weekend and couldn t have felt more welcome. Incredible customer service and it truly felt like the employees enjoyed being there. Update after new ownership: Jan 2023 It hurts me to say this but this place is going down hill fast. I thought given the new staff, some time to transition would be all that was needed but it s just getting worse. The tables are not clean, there are stains on them now, the balls are grimy, the fries are mediocre even when warm, last time they were cold ,and at least once a night I have to go reorder my drink because it was made wrong. My husband and I have been going here at least once a week for almost 2 years now. Before the change we did share the frustration of the occasional lack of tables for non-league players and knew it had a vibe of being exclusive. If you weren t a serious player you probably wouldn t feel welcome. But I d take that over dirty tables, cold food, and staff (except you Isaac and Courtney) that don t even care enough to remember your name or your drink. We might just go back to playing at home instead. Before the change: Totally recommend this place. The tables are well kept, the service is great, and the food is first class. Even though we have a table at home, my husband and I come here regularly for the atmosphere. You can find some serious players in there. Good service. Good food. Good tables. Good times.

Let me start by saying that this place has some of the greatest vibes out there. Staff is amazing, food was outstanding. That being said, I had to unfortunately give this place a 4 star rating. The reason for this is that the felt on about 5 or 6 tables I saw, had really taken a beating. There were ball burn marks, stretch marks on the felt and on 3 tables, it looked like the felt was coming off the rails on the corners where it met the wood. This is usually caused when the felt is stretched way too much at the time of install. Probably need to have the installers install felt better. Diamond tables are definitely very different to felt so might be a good idea to research who does the work. Outside of that, the tables played good and true except for maybe half a rail on one table. The place was overall VERY well maintained and kudos to the team for that.

The place is beautiful and the food was good. However, the service was horrible. We went at 6:30 on Friday and it wasnt very busy. With only 4 people at the bar and 2 servers behind the bar, it took 5 minutes for them to even acknowledge us. We asked to order because they never asked and after bringing us our food, they never once checked on us. We would have bought more drinks but no body ever check to see if we needed anything. We had to flag someone down to get our check which still took 5 minutes to get to us. They werent friendly and didnt seem to care whether we were there or not. If the place doesnt make it, it will be because of their staff.

Absolutely not a great place to be ! I had been a regular customer since they opened, not anymore! After being a regular customer for years, i joined a league at snookered. While practicing after my league match, i was comparing the house cue ball with a similar but not exact cue ball that i own. Using both balls on the practice table but not simultaneously. After i was done i retrieved my cue ball from the ball return, put it in my pocket and walked to my cue case where i placed it, and left the building. Later that day, the house cue ball disappeared from that table. One of the owners reviewed video and without asking me ,assumed that i stole the cue ball. I quit the league , and will not go back. Unfortunately horrendously unpleasant customer service. Been here twice, a good amount of time apart to see if it was just a first time thing or if it was the staff. Definitely the staff. Bar staff gentleman was walking around us at the tables, taking drink and food orders from other customers. So I asked him if my friend and I could order a drink from him and his snide, abrasive, irritable comment back was along the lines of You could, but I cant tell you when youll get them. Mind you we had also been served by another bar staff member moments before, tables were taken and I waited to see how the staff served the other people around me and which seemed timely. Not enough to make that comment. Maybe thats the treatment some regulars to the establishment receive , which I can understand. But, wouldnt you want to treat new customers with equal service? To then have them come back again, refer others to go and visit and in turn have them and others become regulars? Unless Im misunderstanding the ways to have returning guests in a restaurant/bar/pool hall/ service industry business? If this is the standard there, as you can read from other comments that reflect the way they treat paying patrons there. Then it was my last time to go. I will tell my friends to actively avoid this kind of treatment when in the area and not go there. Pool tables are nice, which is the only reason I gave it another chance, but it was for sure my last. Being treated like that in a business you want to enjoy outweighs any pool table in that place.

Seems like a solid place, but if you just want to shoot pool it s probably not the best place on a busier day. If you want to eat out, it seems great if a bit tight-packed. Spent several minutes waiting our turn at the bar to be told that there was a several-party long waitlist for a table, meanwhile half the tables in the place somehow didn t have anyone near them.

We love coming here before and after FC Dallas home games. This past Saturday, we had the pleasure of meeting with and speaking to the owner. She gave us some great insight into the menu items and spoke about some of the changes they made. Every time we have come here, the food has been delicious, the drinks have been well made, and the people have been amazing. The truffle fries and El Cubano are my go-to here. My wife orders a salad or chicken strips, usually. Saturday they have $3 mimosas and it is a GREAT deal! Also, if you are a whiskey/bourbon drinker, they have a pretty decent selection. You can never go wrong having Buffalo Trace on the shelf! Lastly, the equipment is all really well maintained. The tables all have well kept felt and are level. The pool cues are straight. The billiard balls are not chipped or cracked, and the chalk is plentiful! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.

Went last night, not a great experience at the bar. Sat down and nothing for 15 minutes. Basically no one at bar but two of us. 3 tenders walking in front of us the whole time not even acknowledging us. Finally we laughed to ourselves and said well we must be invisible. I could go on but not that big of deal , after seeing the other reviews I can see, its clearly a problem there with the bartenders. If we do come back will not sit at Bar. FYI nice place . Went for the first time last night. Rough crowd but no judgement there. Bartenders were not friendly and inexperienced. I ordered a ranch water and she had no idea what I was talking about. I then asked what kind of Chardonnay of they had she again said she had no idea and then insulted me by saying - this is not a 5 star place. Terrible service, can t make drinks, they don t know the menu and have no desire to offer decent customer service. Will not go back and I don t recommend this place.

We used to go to this place before and really enjoyed it but this past Saturday we went with some friends and went to the bar to order some food and drinks. First, nobody came over to ask if we needed help, and we were standing there for a while. Second, we called the lady who was on the bar, and she looked at us as we were bothering her and asked, What do we want? Not even how can I help you? Or what would you like to drink or eat? Then, my husband gave her his credit card to start a tab. She was running the card and from far away asking us what were going to drink. I was asking what kind of dark beer they had, and she was not able to hear me (she was still standing far away, not even getting closer to hear me). My husband politely asked her if she could please get closer so she could hear us, and she said sorry, but I can not leave the monitor open and roll her eyes at us. Well, at that point we realized that she didnt want to help us and was in a bad mood so we decided to leave the place. Poor customer service. Definitely, we will not be back to this place anymore.

Went there today the website and menus say open and serving food at 11. A group of us get there to eat, the waitress asks what are we doing. No hello welcome nothing. We then get told they are not serving until 12, its a little after 11. Then when it comes time to order We start ordering off the menu the waitress gave us to be told oh you cant order that you can only order off the brunch menu till 3 pm. It gets too confusing for us. Would have been nice to have know that when she first said we couldnt order. So over an hour later we finally get our food...it was cold and all of it did not come out at once. Then another hour or so to get our checks. As we were waiting for our checks more food come out to another table with food from the regular menu not the brunch menu. And it wasnt 3pm yet. The waitress clearly lied to us about the menu and didnt want us there for some reason. We wont be back. We were looking for a fun spot to eat and play some pool

(VISITED OCT 28, 21) Too much good to be said about this place. The building is extremely well kept and the service from Maiyia and Dillon was top notch. They are friendly and are clearly pros at their craft as bartenders and providing excellent customer service. The food was amazing as well. Ordered the standard Cheeseburger (medium) and a side of the Cheese Mac. Decently priced for what some call bar food. But this is far from just bar food. My items came quick, perfectly cooked, and was delicious. Excuse the photograph of the food as I had already dug into the Cheese Mac before I thought to snap the photo. Again, the food was friggen awesome. If you live in the Frisco area or are just passing through, give this place a try. And to top it off, you can play a great game of pool and have a drink served by two service unicorns such as Dillon and Maiyia. Good Job Yall!

Great place if you play pool. Not a great place if you want to drink on a patio. Patio is not fenced in so no drinks on patio? Seems like false advertising. Feel free to smoke outside, without your drink. 9/29/21 On the plus side, inside is smoke free, so you can enjoy playing billiards in clean air. This is a significant plus for many people. Full bar and kitchen. They even have darts boards and a shuffle board table!!

Dont be fooled by the looks of this place. Sure it has sweet pool tables, darts, and ....bingo? But the reason why its stands out amongst the crowd is its food and drinks. The burgers they have... I could not put down, it was so delicious, paired with some equally delicious fries! Some places have awesome burgers and meh fries or vise versa but never both. This is a place that has both AND MORE! Cause let me tell you about the drinks. Hand crafted to perfection each time and they all taste like drinking the virgin Marys breast milk.
