I loved everything about this bar! We had our family friends HPD retirement party on Saturday. I was so at ease with how attentive the bartenders were and just with how organized the bar was with having the event here. We had such a amazing time and definitely will be hosting our next event here!

Everything about this place was chill and fun! The bartenders were so fast and the drinks were on point! They have live music on Fridays. The Riff Riders were playing when we visited and theyre absolutely worth checking out! The set they put together was a nice mix of classic and modern rock/pop songs from the 80s & 90s. Beware parking can be a bit scarce, so come early or come prepared. Kid-friendliness: Kids seem to be allowed to hang out outside before sundown.

the bartender will just ignore you at the bar. And take their regulars orders first. And get mad when you ask if they can take your order. the place wasnt even busy. this is not high class place to begin with as if you are at the buttom of the list. I will never come to this place. other than that the music was good.

This was not my first time here, but it certainly was my last. I helped organize a huge event at this place last night and received the WORST service personally. I stood at the bar, in front of multiple bartenders and it took over 25 minutes to get help. The little short guy with a mowhawk is extremely rude and mocked me, after I saw him multiple times look at me dead in the face and move to the next person. Im not sure why he wasnt helping me but it was very clear that he was choosing not to tend to me, until there was nobody left at which point he still asked another person walking up to the bar (even though I had been standing there) at which point he mocked me for being frustrated. That confirmed to me that he clearly saw me and was CHOOSING not to help me. Again, I helped organize the event to bring ALL those people to your organization and to be treated like that is unacceptable. NEVER AGAIN.

The atmosphere is what brought us to this establishment. We showed up about 1220. I looked up online and it showed they close at 2 AM. However, upon approaching the door and having our IDs checked by a gentleman, he let us know that they would be closing at one. We asked if it would be OK if we still had a drink or two to which you replied, yes. We went to have the drink and before we could even get the drink the bartender greeted us very rudely. She did not welcome us. She did not say hello. She simply told us we re closed. We informed her that the attendee at the door had let us know that they were closing at one, and we just wanted to have a drink. She rolled her eyes and looked at the attendee, and was very disgusted, and did not even ask us what we wanted. My girlfriend asked if we could get a drink still, and proceeded to order us a drink. I myself would ve walked out. It was our first time to this establishment and we have heard great reviews in reference to this place. We will not be coming back and just the lack of care or effort in customer service. I m not too sure how they re still open. That is the first and most important part of owning a bar and restaurant, and should have the employees exuberant the same type of characteristics.

Ambiance: there was a dj and it was slow thursday night. But that didnt stop us from having a good time. There was probably less than 10 people and I like H town folks dont need a large crowd to have a great time. Service: We pretty much had the bars to our selves. They were there when we needed them. Drinks: Its a full bar, drinks, shots and beer. I wish they had some cider (my preference). This placed was tucked away from the city and plenty of lot parking and street parking. White Rhino is a spot I pass by frequently and have visited on many occasions. While it always serves its purpose of being a convenient stop for my friends and I to grab a quick drink on our way somewhere there are some simple ways in which I feel the business could be improved tremendously. For starters, every time I have been to White Rhino the inside has been extremely cold. Most recently, I stopped by on an evening where a cold front had come through and I kid you not, every ceiling fan and mounted oscillating fan was on and turned to high, as well as the AC noticeably blowing out cold air. This makes sense if the bar is packed but we were some of the only people there. Every drink Ive had from white rhino has been very good, and the bartenders are always friendly and quick to serve, which is a huge plus. Additionally, the bar itself and the restrooms are always very clean. The drinks are a little on the pricier side, (most recently a round of two shots and two beers ran me $30.78 before tip), but from a trendy bar thats what I have come to expect. If youre in the mood for a quick drink I would recommend giving white rhino a look and trying for yourself. I will continue to give them my business and I look forward to potentially trying some of the food items they offer, but I do hope they correct some of the issues mentioned above.

I, for one, will NEVER be back. Such a shame, given the interior is pretty and the bartender/drinks were great. When told this after we got our drinks, I have never wanted a refund so bad. Wow, what can I say. Been going there for 3+ years and got told off by one of the owners wife that were Voodoo Queen clientele and not White Rhinos even though we were always there to support on karaoke nights. Good to know we dont matter unless were spending money to make up for how they go through their own supply. I wouldnt recommend this place unless youre fine with only being seen as a cash cow, but its all up to your own self-respect. Either way, with their lack of business strategy, it should run its self to where it deserves. Its a nice looking place thats rotting at its core.

Its a cool bar with a patio in the heart of EDo. They have many events throughout the month and drink specials. The bar tenders are good with handling the big crowds. Also, parking can be a bit tricky. They do have an empty lot next to it where you can park, but it gets full fast.

Very expensive prices for drinks. First time ever paying $18 for double Woodford bourbon (bottle price is $28 at specs) and $9 for shinner on tap.. Also minimum tipping option starts at 20%. A friend and I were enjoying a night at White Rhino when we were approached by a man we did not know. He was overly friendly, touching our shoulders and invading our personal space. When we politely asked him to stop touching us he let us know he was the owner before walking away. He returned with an employee, whispered in that employees ear, and then we were asked to leave. The man s name is Bobby de la Rosa. I was disappointed that these events occurred since I enjoyed the Cinco de Mayo event last year and was excited to return.

I must say, I wish I could ve gotten more pictures of the atmosphere in general of this place. It is well decorated and feels very welcoming. There s plenty of space inside and outside to accommodate big crowds. The drinks are reasonably priced and are very tasty as well. Their Just like Jalisco drink was amazing. It is their take on the classic Paloma drink (if I m not mistaken) and it is done just right. They ve got food trucks on the patio which is nice when you re looking for something to decoy your stomach after a couple of drinks. Been here on a number of occasions with the last one being this past Saturday night. The vibe is nice And the outdoor setting is very relaxing . The various types of foods sold are really great, as they will have a vendor setup and sell anywhere from Tacos to Bbq.My only complaint can be the music, it definitely caters to a much younger crowd, which is funny to me as everytime I have been there the crowd is usually 40 to 60 range with the weekend being 90 % hispanic. A tejano dj every now and then would really mesh with the neighborhood.

I was invited to a private event and I ordered an old fashioned drink with Knob Creek. I gave the bartender a $20 and he never gave my change back. We visited as part of our search for post-pandemic cocktail options, encouraged by the reviews and photos. Our very pleasant bartender ran down the beer list for us, noting that they had mint, so could make a mojito. One of us decided to stick with options on the cocktail menu (basil gimlet) the other asked for what should be a standard (classic daiquiri). The gimlet was as advertised, light and refreshing. The daiquiri was an experience... with about 7 ingredients including a good quantity of pineapple juice the result was not unlike a frothy (but not frozen) pina colada in a highball glass. The patio is really nice even on a hot July evening. On a Friday night they had a DJ keeping the atmosphere lively, and the patio is big enough to get far enough from the speakers to have a real conversation. The interior is stylish and new-looking, overall a really nice, relaxed vibe. Based on one experience I wouldnt really call it a cocktail bar, though if you stick to the few cocktails on the menu theyre likely well prepared. It could be we got the one bartender that is unfamiliar with classic cocktails.
