Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The bigger white lady with the tattoos on her arm is a horrible manager treating employees like there lesser than her. I really wouldn t come back to this location ever again but I had a really good experience with employees Preston and Abraham very much impressed of how they handle there situations. Will probably only come back due to these two well mannered employees. Foods good can t complain there.

I love Whataburger, but I am done with this location. They are horribly slow, bad customer service and my fries and onion rings are always half burnt and cooked in old oil. Done giving chances, will be going to a different location from now on. No one wants to spend $30 for disappointment.

I stopped to pick up a large iced mocha coffee before I hit the road for my drive from Corpus Christi to Dallas. I love their iced coffees. Ive tried the mocha and vanilla; both are yummy Although they are iced, the coffee isnt watered down. You still get a nice body coffee flavor layered with the chocolate or vanilla flavor. Give it a try

Ask for fresh taquitos after the first tortillas were stale as I watch the remake it, they made it straight on their metal bar, someone replied what is he talking about? and I kindly ask them to put it on paper first, and not to set the tortilla on the dirty metal bar where I could see all the crumbs from the other food then the lady said well we clean it off every five minutes or so. Well I said I don t want those chemicals on my food that you clean it off with so please put the paper down first she persisted to argue, horrible service

Ive been burned so many times now by this location not reading a simple ticket and completing my order. I will likely just drive out of my way to go to a different location from now on. I am constantly eating Whataburger spending at least 50 dollars a week on it. every other location i have ordered from gives me sauces when i ask for them free of charge. i decided to order food today and asked the driver to grab me 2 ranches and they wouldn t give them to him without me paying for them. There is no option to add sauces on the ordering app so how am i supposed to get a sauce, this is very infuriating i would ve never ordered if i knew i wasn t going to get the sauce. will never be ordering or buying from this location again i recommend to anyone wanting to eat from here that you go to a different location

Ive visited this establishment several times. And its usually after 2am. Just finished up at a Winstar Casino. Food is great. But expect to wait close to 10 minutes to get your food. The place is never clean. Or at least its not a priority. Customer service is good. Maybe just not enough employees for that time of the hour. But then again, how long does it take to wipe down a table. Ill have to take pics next time. So dont come visit after 2am.

I grabbed something to eat at this location. Wasnt totally aware of what was going to happen. Ate a chicken sandwich, 1 hour passes by. Im stuck on the toilet for nearly 20 mins vomiting and sweating until I decided to go to the clinic. It was so bad I was taken to the hospital that same day. This is absolutely unacceptable for food quality and food service. Dont even come to this location. These people are inconsiderate of other peoples health so be aware of this!!

We stopped in after my long shift after work plus a meeting to get a burger and onion rings and some wings in the drive through. It took a long time. I remember to get quality I used to have to wait and it was always worth it. That was in the past. Tonight left a lot to be desired. When we finally got our order, my son looked through the bag and we were missing a container of wings. I paid hard earned money for this splurge and I wanted to get all I paid for. He went in to get the wings and as he was coming out, I noticed my Dr. Pepper was completely flat. Another bummer because it was a large size. This location is the absolute worst when it comes to the wait time in the drive-thru. This is the third time I ve come here, for my daughter. I would give zero stars if I could. My Happy Easter from this Whataburger was disgusting onion rings and a 30-minute wait in the drive-thru! None of the food was up to the normal Whataburger standards, but these dirt colored onion rings obviously cooked in super dirty oil take the cake. It was bad enough when I didnt even get my onion rings when I went there 2 days prior, but getting them but not being able to eat them is even worse. This Whataburger was always on the slow side but pre-pandemic, the food was still worth some wait. Now, they are even slower, the staff all look and act like they hate everything about their jobs and the food is just not good. Were going to McDonalds for our breakfast from now on because this place, that should be the best in town, is completely failing. I think the employees may actually be trying to get it shut down. I pulled into the drive-thru and sat there for nearly 5 minutes no response and then I deiced to pull around to the window and the sat nearly another 2 minutes before someone saw me then when the young man saw me his first response was oh my bad EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I place my order and was asked to pull to the front and sat another damn 15 minutes before I decided to walk inside only to be seen by the same young man and his response to my presence was how can I help you? seriously dude then I said I never got my order Ive been sitting out front then he proceeds to say Oh you never got your food no duh thats why I am now inside the building. He goes and grab the food which I imagine was just sitting somewhere and you guessed you fries cold and burger made wrong. I AM DONE WITH THIS LOCATION THIS WAS THE FINAL STRAW!!!! SMH clearly the Owners and Managers dont care who they hire as honestly the service has always could use some improvement but thats it I rather drive further for better service than 3 minutes from my house with this terrible service.

In over 30 years of going to Whataburger, have never had such a horrid experience, most of them were very good. I was the only one in line, very early morning, and I waited 25 minutes for my food. When I asked what was taking so long, sketchy guy named Scrappy came all the way out to my car to threaten me with violence for asking. Had to wait another almost 10 minutes for the food. Unbelievable experience and Whataburger has yet to respond to my complaint, after almost a week. Use this location with great caution!

Make sure you check your food. Apparently they can t count to 2 when you pay for a double whataburger, and also don t know the difference in sweet and unsweetened tea. This is why minimum wage is in place. Still overpaid in my opinion.

Refreshing. I went to wendys for breakfast and arrived at 1020. They closed breakfast 10 Mins early and was very rude about it. I left and went to whataburger. The service was very nice. I could hear the smile through the mic and you didnt close your breakfast early. Thank you!!!

There is one reason why Im giving this location one star, and its the wait time. The drive thru has never taken me less than twenty minutes to get through, and thats on a good day when theres only one car in front of me. If you go at dinner time, bring a charged phone so you dont get bored waiting an hour to get your food, and if you get blocked in, theres no escaping should you choose to give up. We tried going through the drive thru at 6:00 PM tonight. We waited twenty minutes and didnt move an inch before abandoning the line. What on earth are they doing in there? I tried ordering ahead and doing in store pickup. I showed up at the designated time, but they used me providing them my name to get my order as their signal to START making it. They hadnt even begun to make an order Id placed twenty five minutes ago that was promised to be already finished when I got there. I went through a different location on a road trip recently, and I was in and out so quickly, so I know that the issue is specifically with this location. Its been like this since they opened. Perhaps they need new management or to properly train their staff, but I highly recommend skipping this specific Whataburger.

I am traveling after a minor surgical procedure and I needed ice as my packs had melted. I stopped at CVS for gauze and ziplocs, went next door to whataburger for a cup of ice. Went through drive thru and ordered a Dr pepper shake that I wanted to try a long with a #1 meal. There was two vehicles in front and it took well over 20 minutes before I even got my food. I dont know what took so long. My burger wasnt very warm ,but it seemed it was at room temperature and the Dr pepper shake didnt look right either, The positive side was that the fries were hot and the guy that handed the food was friendly, I wouldnt recommend it here though because it took way too long before I got my food and there were only two vehicles ahead of me in drive thru. I never had this problem before at other Whataburger locations.

The Burger was lukewarm, they need to make sure burger is made and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. I suspect the burger was sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes before being delivered on the drive through. Can say anything about the atmosphere as I did not walk into the restaurant. You should really think of having automatic burgers making machines where there is not human involvement.

The drive thru is rediculous! The first time I just ended up leaving before I had to pay thinking maybe they re short staff. Recently I went just before 7pm. Surprised at the lack of business in the drive thru I ordered there. There were 2 cars in front of me and one to my side. All 3 were waiting for their food. The cashier had to tell the drivers to pull forward so they could collect my money. A little nervous because I had already waited almost FIFTEEN MINUTES, I asked how long my food was going to take. The cashier said, we have it right here. So I forked over $18 for a #2 combo and a kids meal. I got my food, but now I m stuck behind all these cars. The cashier had to again ask the drivers to pull forward so I could exit. I got home and the food was cold. The fries were a soggy mess and the kids meal chicken fingers were about as big as my thumb. They also forgot the cookie with the over priced meal as well as napkins and condiments. Which the teller asked me if I wanted an and my reply was a specific YES I ll definitely pass next time. Honestly, I d rather go to bed hungry.

1st time customers on February 7th 2024, when we were visiting the Frisco TX area. WOW, we were totally amazed with the taste, quality and SIZE of the burger and fries. Our burgers were crowned with very fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions. We stepped up and tried the original and uniqe flavor of the Dr. Pepper Medium milk shake (-; ... we would highly recommend this Medium shake .... its Huge. For two meals, with the shakes, the price was very affordable! WhataBurger is not a new company; originated in August 1950 ... I was in the drive-through and no one ever came or even acknowledged me. It was morning time, and there were a few cars. I called the store and spoke with the manager via their listed phone number and let them know, and there was no urgency whatsoever all they said was oh, I ll go let them know. When they finally came and took my order, no apologies about the wait and I get into line and there s two cards in front of me and it s the slowest thing ever. So I just got out of line and left and went over to Chick-fil-A and had my order completed in less amount of time that it took me to wait and order and get out of line at Whataburger. I was pretty surprised at the speed of service this time around on my burger as whataburger is known to grill fresh, nothing about today s order was fresh. It was pretty slow for a Sunday afternoon. Only one car ahead of me in line. My fries were already hard and cold by the time I accessed them, the chili cheese burger had way too many onions. Normally I wouldn t mind the onions, but they overpowered the rest of the burger. I asked for a Coke Zero and received carbonated water. I ordered a small raspberry white chocolate shake, didn t receive straws for either drink and when I opened the shake, the milk had a sour smell. I think I m starting to realize why I end up spending more and more each time I go back, I d spend half as much going elsewhere. Lesson learned.

When ordering Large fries and you get home to see no large fries but medium fries. They are such in a hurry every time we go thru the drive thru. It should not be the quantity of customers serviced in a specific time but quality for each customer. Also is the ketchup supposed be in the fries? Do they think the ketchup totals the Large fries.
