Longtime customer here, I used to regard this as one of the best restaurants in the Woodlands and it was a go to for me and my family however something changed during Covid and the recipes for some of their dishes changed and not in a good way. Red and yellow curry are lacking in flavor compared to how they used to be and their pad thai used to be amazing but now it s very heavy sauce forward and It doesn t taste as good. Also the chicken in their dishes used to always be but now it sometimes rubbery/overcooked. This place is very nostalgic to me so I will occasionally eat here but it s definitely not what it used to be.

Thai Cottage truly exceeded my expectations! I visited at noon and was pleased to find plenty of parking available. The restaurant was clean and well-organized. I was greeted at the door and seated immediately with a menu. The food arrived promptly, and the service was excellent. Every dish was tasty and met my expectations for authentic Thai cuisine. I was also impressed by the easy access for wheelchairs. I highly recommend trying anything with curry it s simply delicious! Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes are plant-based, except for the protein you can select tofu in Lou of beef, chicken, pork or seafood. Parking: We didn t have trouble finding parting at lunch, but there weren t that many people dinning. Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs coming into the front. Everything is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair in the dining area.

This is my second time eating at Thai Cottage. I would have come back sooner if I wasn t out of the country for a year. This is one of the Thai places I put on my list to make sure to come back to as soon as I got home. My absolute favorite dish is the yellow chicken curry with chicken. I get the spicy level three. The curry tastes very fresh and like they truly take their time. One of the best authentic Thai restaurants in the Houston area in my opinion!

I ordered through Uber Eats, so I cant speak on the service dining in, but the food is insanely good. If youre looking for authentic Thai classics with the proper ingredients, its here. My only complaint would be that the chicken is a little dry, but the execution of everything else made up for it. Im pretty sure they even use fresh (not dried) rice noodle. It even arrived hot and fresh!

I lived previously in a city that had more Thai restaurants per capita than fast food restaurants. I love fresh Thai food, but dont live close to an establishment. I was visiting the area and came across this Thai restaurant. It was late, and about an hour before they closed. I ordered the roasted duck curry, which I ve never had before. I ve had Thai curry quite a bit and favor the red curry, but probably will skip the duck next time. The curry flavor was tasty though. I also got my usual go to Thai iced tea. It was good, but they are not fresh made. Just a prepackaged bottle, which I would love to source for home consumption though lol. Anyway, they were quick and the food was fresh. A little pricey, but it is The Woodlands.

I called in my order for green curry and she asked me what spice level I wanted, 1-5. Of course me, not fearing anything spicy, I went for the 5! Soup of the day or salad? I chose soup, which happened to be egg drop soup. And it came with a tiny spring roll which was nice n crispy on the outside and really hot and tasty on the inside. This was my first time having green curry that I didnt make for myself at home from a recipe on the internet. I have to say, I really liked it. The flavor and texture was different from what I have made and gives me a nice comparison to recreate at home. The spice level was not quite as hot as I expected but it was still satisfying and the flavor of the coconut was amazing. The egg drop soup was also very good. Much thicker than any Ive had before which was unexpected but very nice. Menu photos and prices were outdated so Im posting their current menu as well.

Came here for the first time last night. The service was good & quick. It wasnt busy at all for a Saturday night. It was very cold in the restaurant and of course I had shorts on because it was 90° out. I felt like nothing on the menu was appealing, but Im also not familiar with Thai food. I ended up getting the Pineapple Fried rice, which was a little spicy for 2 but it WAS ONLY between 1-5 for how spicy you want it so I do understand. The food was very good though and it was a lot too. The app we got was the cheese rolls; $6.50 for 3. I honestly didnt think it was worth it but my friend took me here for the first time and Ive never had those before, ended up being good. Would I come back again? Maybe only for the fried rice. Kid-friendliness: It seems like a restaurant good for kids if they arent picky.

My friend and I met there for lunch. We both ordered vegetarian Pad Thai, no onion, no garlic, and no fish sauce. She also ordered veggie fry-rice for her kid with the same restrictions. The pad Thai came looking ok (not the best looking pad Thai I ever had, I would say). However, it looked darker than normal pad Thai that I had before, and it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SALTY like the cook knocked the salt bottle into the dish. My friend said hers was the same. I only ate a few bites due to the saltiness. Took the rest home but throw it out afterwards due to the saltiness. On top of that, her kid s fry rice s flavor had extra smell that she ordered not to have (maybe from garlic or fish sauce?, we are not sure.). The worst, it also had A STRAND OF HAIR in the fry rice. Too bad she and I didn t take the picture of the fry rice with the hair. It was so discussing. Conclude the reasons above, I will NEVER go back. A bit overpriced too.

I couldnt believe, we were about to go in and eat at this restaurant. We were just walking in, when I read a review of ants or something. As soon as we sat down, I finish reading the review. I started to look around at our table. Lo and behold there were some kind of baby bugs. like roaches or something. They werent anywhere around the pepper shaker or salt shaker. they were underneath the little sugar holder that was black. When we moved it out of the way, a bunch of these little bugs started swarming everywhere and they disappeared underneath the table. As soon as we put the black holder back, they came back and hide underneath it real close to us. Two of my friends freaked out. I looked underneath the table with my cell phone flashlight. I saw hundreds of them, underneath hiding in the corner cubby holes. Theyre just small as ants, but they act like roaches. They know to run and hide when exposed and then come back. Yes we decided to leave as well. As we were walking to our vehicle we saw the plates sitting outside by the back door, as we read in the review. We decided to take a picture as well. Its as if someone left the back door open, and put the food out for the ants, mice, rats or animals to come and eat it. there were two rat bait boxes on each side of the back door. They should keep the door closed instead of keeping it open with a mop stick. Those little weird roach like insects, inside the restaurant, seem like they will go on to your clothing and hitchhike back to your house. There like small ants, but they act like roaches. Thousands of them under the table. Im just glad we had water and one cup of coffee then split. Dont eat there unless you want to take some hitchhikers home with you. Good luck

There were some kind of insects on the table, under the salt and pepper. We shewed them away, but they just crawled to underside of the table. We decided not to eat there. We reported it to someone who appeared a manager on the way out. He said he would take care of it, but we saw the server laughing at us through the window as she picked up our menus from the table. Then there was an open plate of food swarming with ants in the parking lot (see photo).

Worst pad Thai I have ever gotten. Spring rolls were almost burnt and conveniently came with one less. Could not eat pad Thai, chicken tasted rotten and it was swimming in what appeared to be old reheated oil. Absolutely disgusting. Literally tossed it into the trash. The prices of their dishes and drinks have also went up a lot. The kitchen will work with you on whatever spice level you want which is great. The rice is always fluffy, the duck curry is my favorite as it s one of the few places you can get it. Princess of Siam - Delicious. Cheese rolls - Wish they were bigger cause they re drool worthy. Pad Thai - Always a great choice with the rice noodles and peanuts. Tiger Cry - The lime sauce is addicting it s so good. Thai tea - Hard to go wrong with it but disappointed in how expensive it s become because you can get Thai teas at boba shops for the price with more bang for your buck and extras added.

If you are looking for full flavor Thai food, you can t beat this placeZ we ve been going here for years and you can t beat the consistency. The only challenge is the variation in chilli levels, if you ask for a 3 you might get a 4, but never a 2, especially when it comes to the curries, and you must try the curries, our favourite is the green curry, here is my menu suggestions; Shrimp Pad Thai, Chicken Green Curry and the must Three Taste Fish Fillet!

This place is one of the best Thai restaurants around woodlands. We had lot of dishes and we liked everything. Every dish was so flavourful that it remains in your pallet for long. They have limited soups of which tom kha and tom yum were intense and filling. Entree soft veg rolls with the sauce was very tasteful. Main dishes like Pad Thai is unmissable. Egg fried rice was little hard, but with some side curry it s good. We also ordered fish fillet with curry and rice. The fried fish were ok, but the mushroom dip with it was pungent and tasteful! Finally the deserts - the best ending with fried banana and coconut ice cream. Was unique and best experience. Definitely will visit again. Kids loved it and environment is very soothing.

Wonderful place to eat, its a little hidden but man is it good. I got the roasted duck curry and a side salad with peanut dressing. Absolutely amazing. I will be coming back here often and with family. Good prices, good atmosphere and awesome food.

Food was incredible. Came here during COVID lock down and it wasn t very good. Food was served in a cardboard bowl and it was flavorless. This time, on normal plates and incredible flavor!! Definitely a 180. Staff was very friendly this time too.

Thai Cottage has delicious curry dishes and childrens food options. We really liked the Panang Curry with chicken and the Pineapple green curry plate with soy. The kids loved the kids noodle plate and the chicken nuggets. We highly recommend this family friendly authentic Thai restaurant and we will be back to try new dishes soon!

The Pad Kee Mao was on point. Vegetables were cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of crunch and flavor. Spice levels seem to be very conservative. I m a spice maniac who always cranks it up to the max. I got level 4 out of 5 and it didn t phase me. The Sticky Rice with Mango was amazing. You ve got to get it if it s in season.

I have been there for Pad Thai and chicken basil many times and they were so delicious but today I had Pad Thai and the taste and noodles are not the same. It is bad taste, noodle is not good quality like before and also the add broccoli and carrot into Pad Thai. I assume they change the chef because if Thai people cook they will know Pad Thai will not add broccoli. I hope Thai Cottage will make it better and come back to my favorite restaurant again in the future

We wanted vegetarian option and specifically asked for no fish/oyster sauce in any of our food. Despite that we could taste and smell fish sauce in our Pad Thai. The server denied that there was any, of course. She got a little agitated and stressed on it. We weren t convinced, but she offered no solutions. Oh and within a couple of minutes she comes out and says that the kitchen would close in 5 minutes!

The food is excellent and we have been customers for a very long time but I had to remove a star because we now get charged for every little thing. I asked for a side of peanut sauce and was charged $1. asked for more rice and was charged $2 neither of which were things we used to get charged for. I guess I understand the rice, but extra sauce? Really?

They have gluten-free menu items marked, which is convenient. The spring rolls & peanut sauce were great, but I m not sure if those are gluten-free. The pad Thai is good, but not the best I ve had. Service is fast and the lighting in the restaurant is pretty with all of the windows.

* the only reason I gave a 4star is because I have always had problems with online ordering. Coming to their food - they are highly delicious. My kids love their appetizers - dumplings, satay & veg spring rolls - this itself makes their entree. Hubby and myself love the fried rice and curries. I am a vegetarian so they take extra care and suggest me the right curries and other dishes. Their Thai tea is pretty delicious too. We have tried many Thai in the neighborhood but this is the one we come back to.

My family and I went here because of the reviews thinking it would be a nice place to eat. It was UNFORTUNATELY not. The AC was on while it was 45F outside. The food tasted cold and was absolute garbage. We quickly paid and got outta there to eat somewhere else.

I ordered from Thai Cottage, because it wasnt so far from my house and it was next higher rated.. It was a cold evening and I wanted Tom Kha soup which was delicious! Kids noodles was good also and my hubby liked yellow curry. We werent happy with beef fried rice, because the beef seemed leftover from many days.. Thats all! I would ordered again Tom Kha!

Do yourself a favor and get the chicken wings. Seriously. They are amazing! As always, best chicken Tom Yum soup in Houston! I had the sizzling beef and it was very good but also heavy peanut sweet sauce, so if you have an allergy steer clear.

Fast service, good food, nice selection, fair prices. We usually go at lunch since you can get a salad, spring roll, and nice lunch portion for a good price. We were so hungry I forgot to take a picture of the curry, however I usually get red curry with pork. Today I chose green curry and it is also nice and creamy. I find the pork is a little more tender than the chicken, but their curry sauces with coconut milk are all creamy smooth. For a nice treat, try a Thai iced tea.
