We had the most exquisite dining experience tonite. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with charming decor that immediately made me feel like I was transported to a cute, quaint spot in Little Italy, NYC. The attention to detail in the ambiance was impeccable, and the food was AMAZING and so FRESH! And the service from Karen? Absolutely top-notch! She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure every part of the evening was absolutely perfect. What an amazing gem of a restaurant. We can t wait to come back. Make sure to ask for Karen. Let s start with service: from the point we enter the restaurant till we left, our host Ernis M. took excellent care. Appetizers came first along with bread and main course order was placed at proper time such that we could enjoy it after we done with appetizers. This is highest level of attention to details in serving. Appetizer: we ordered bruschetta, and it was delivered with great freshness and taste. The mozzarella cheese and the tomato mixture that they make really compliments along with garlic bread. Cocktails : I have tried the aviation cocktail which was up to the mark. They have a great gin selection that you can swap around if you do not like the default gin that it comes with. Main course : me and my wife are vegetarian and they have good options to select. The taste of the ingredients and such as the red wine reduced sauce and the tomato sauce sends to be extremely fresh and in house made. Honestly speaking, one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. I would strongly recommend visiting this place if you haven t. Thank you for your time! My family had a wonderful dinner here. Ernest was a great server- very attentive, and he answered all of our questions patiently! The food was delicious- I had penne vodka with grilled chicken. My husband had portobello ravioli, and my son had the chicken parmigiana. My picky mother in law absolutely loved the salmon. We shared a s mores lava cake for dessert Yum! It was also nice of the owner Benny to come by and say hello- the MIL adores him.

Our new go-to Italian restaurant. We ve been here twice and every menu item we have tried has been outstanding. Tonight, my husband had the short rib special with risotto and I had the portobello ravioli. Chef Spaiu is extremely talented. The sauces were flavorful and balanced. Our server Ernest was wonderful and personable. Atmosphere perfect for a date night or intimate group dinner. Many more visits in our future!

Came on a last minute birthday celebration with my mom, sister, and her nine month old baby from out of town. We were told only dine outside or bar if we didn t have reservations. It s over 90 degrees and a bar could not accommodate the baby. There is nothing on the website that says you need to have a reservation to eat in the main dining area. Open table had several reservations in the next 30 min+ open. Not sure why there was no attempt to even try accommodate us. Despite the response saying their policy is listed on their website, it s not! It s no where on there. Where on your website is your reservation policy stated?

I overheard a fellow gym member telling someone else that the food here was the best Italian theyve had in the Plano/Frisco/Little Elm/The Colony area - he was absolutely correct! Amazing food, second to none, and absolutely delicious! From the bread the bread, to the sauces, to the pasta and even the crab cakes - exceptional flavor! Their service was also on a different level, which was unexpected - from the host to the entire staff there, regardless if they were tending to other tables, they all ensured we were always taken care of. The host was extremely nice, polite and even made sure that my girls daughter was very satisfied. We will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone - you will not be disappointed! Note to others: If you want to learn how service is supposed to be done, come here, enjoy some amazing food and take plenty of notes! Parking: Their filet mignon is extremely flavorful!

Tried this place for the first time the other night. Upon walking in we were greeted by the friendliest staff (really wish I got the name of the hostess, she checked in on our table and was amazing)! Ricki was our waiter and she could not have been better! Her super sweet demeanor and attitude made for such a pleasant evening! The atmosphere was super cute, with jazz and REAL italian music playing. I can t even begin on the food it was EXQUISITE. Probably the best Italian food I ve ever had in North Texas. It is pretty pricey but definitely worth the cost!

We have been looking for a new italian place for ages now in the Mckinney area and finally decided to branch out this weekend towards Frisco. We made a reservation online before-hand so Im not sure about the wait for walk in, but there seemed to be hardly anyone standing at the front when we got there and while we ate, even though it was 6:30pm on a Saturday night. First of all, let me say how INCREDIBLE our server was. Jazmein was not only kind and very personable, but very knowledgable about the menu and made sure to keep our drinks full! She made sure to bring out the birthday dessert for our friend and even offered to sing Happy Birthday. (Dont worry, we did not make her embarass herself XD) I have to say that she is probably one of the best servers I have EVER had, and I myself have over 15 years of restaurant experience. This ones a GEM, Salute, you better appreciate her as much as we did! The food was out so fast that our 6 year old only had enough time to say Mom Im hungryyy before it arrived. (So like maybe a few minutes, you know how kids are, always starving.) The breads were SO YUMMY. I couldve just eaten that sundried tomato-basil bread for dinner. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, which was the best Marsala Ive ever had. Its my go-to at any restaurant that has it, and it even beats my now-previous favorite, Maggianos. The mashed potatoes are out of this world good. Hubs ordered the Theresa and he LOVED it. Cleaned out the whole bowl. Our friend ordered the piccatta (sp?) and he also devoured it. He mentioned that the side vegetables were cooked perfectly and so delicious. My kiddo got the kids spaghetti & chicken tenders. Huge portion for the kid size and she ate almost all of it! The tiramisu was soooo good. The chef came out to our table and spoke to us for a bit, he was funny and very nice. You could tell that its a passion for him! Keep on keeping on, chef! You know what you are doing. WHERES THE MICHELIN?? THIS PLACE DESERVES IT! The bathrooms were very clean and nicely decorated. There was no wait even though they are single bathrooms. All in all, this is my new fav Italian place. There isnt a dress code in a place that 1000% deserves one. SO GOOD. 10/10 recommend. My second time eating here. The first time was excellent. I had the chicken parm both times and excellent each time. The Cesar is perfect to split for 2. The bread is delicious. The desserts you cant go wrong. We have had most desserts except the tiramisu. Next time we will start trying different dishes. We typically dont eat out for Italian as we make many dishes at home. But we seen the reviews and we had to try. We will be back. So far, the consistency is 100%. Cant wait till next time.

I drove all the way from Fort Worth after my parents heard about this place and was blown away at how incredible our food and experience was. The homemade pasta was hands down some of the best pasta I ve had in years (my favorite restaraunt closed during Covid). Tried Salute for the first time. Based on the reviews expectations were high. Ernis was our waiter and he was exceptional. Paid attention to the group throughout the meal and gave us the best suggestion for a wine pairing with our meal. We had the Calamri for appetizer. Large pieces of fresh calimari served with a perfect marinara sauce and lemon. For main course we had the Teresa and the Lasagna. Both of which were excellent. The chef came around and asked how the meal was Every detail about this resturant was exceptional. Its a must go if your in the mood for great italian food. I will be back. It had no taste but enjoyed in anyways - ravioli portabella in brandy butter sauce: superb no other words for it - prapadelli bolognese: authentic .. very good - deserts: loved walking up to the counter and picking. I really wanted to love this place and give it 5 stars. It is hard with so many good options here in the area. The food was good, it felt a little on the expensive side for the flavor you got. We got the lasagna, lobster ravioli and crab cakes for the appetizer. Crab cakes were definitely the highlight and I would get them again. Six of us had an excellent meal this evening. This restaurant does not disappoint. Quality food and service is always on the menu at Salute. Our waiter, Ernes, was pleasant and checked in on us throughout the meal. This was my 4th visit and the quality has been consistent. It will definitely be a go to for a delightful evening.

I brought my mother and friend here, the calamari was excellent, the mozzarella sticks should not be on the menu. Two ordered the lobster ravoli, good but over seasoned (to salty), my mother had the chicken picatta it was good, however she asked for a side of pasta to go with it they brought her penne pasta in what looked like a vodka sauce, 1st the flavor profiles dont match, 2nd they should serve the dish with an appropriate pasta sucha as angel hair and not mix flavor profiles. i ordered the pasta Primavera, i added shrimp and mushrooms, i was told that they did bit have enough mushrooms to add to my dish, the shrimp was cooked well, that was about it. 1st it served in a bowl very pretty but not functional, the carrots were warm bur not cooked, if you have not yet had the experience of cutting shrimp, wholw broccolini and raw carrots in a bowl it sucks. They failed horribly, additionally, my dish was brought out 8 minutes after everyone elses which is considered a rookie fail, so the kitchen is poorly managed and or the server was improperly trained. 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, 4 cocktails $230, which is a bit overpriced for 1. a restraunt in a strip mall 2. chairs with no arms 3. misrepresentation on website that the pasta is made by hand (sure some is) 4. my 78 year old italian mother and her 89 year old italian friend both referred to penne pasta as a low brow pasta. The owners are from Wisconsin so i guess in Wisconsin they conaider this good, which it ia not and when we looked up their names they were not from italy, honestly I couldnt even tell you where thwie names come from. FYI dont order srinks or wine there, by my vest earimate their wine markup ia 200% greater than the wine markup of a 5 star restraunt and the options were not good (or even adequate) atleast they offered a sample before purchasing. Dont bring your mom here, honestly i have had better pasta I have boilded water myswlf (which iant hard) bought from Costco. I am normally fair with my reviews, in this instance I am practicing restraint.

This is has become one of our regular spots. Not only is it close for us but the food, service, and general feel is the best! We typically have our dog Aiko on the patio but this time we had family. Our table ordered multiple dishes so we could try different ones. Several dessert are made in house which again these days is hard to find.
