We usually go on Sundays at opening so there is really no wait. We are able to catch the live music then. When it s hot, they have heaters and when cold, they have fans on so sitting outside on the patio is usually our go to area. The food is amazing and the service superb. This is a must try. Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to enter.

This is s great spot. Food was excellent. Frito pie was great. Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious. Catfish was excellent. Service was friendly. Chelsie, the bartender, was super friendly and efficient. The owner/chef came out to see how everything was. Would recommend to anyone and I will be returning here. Keep up the great work.

Didis is a great place for lunch. We havent been there for Dinner but we go here for lunch about 2-3 times per month. I would recommend the redfish and grits or the meatloaf, if youre in to a little bit of spice. The sauce that they put on these dishes is absolutely amazing.

Didis has a rustic feel inside, a transformed old house to restaurant. Small town vibe. The food was good, but prices seemed a bit steep for what was received. Which would make us think twice about going back. My wife had the phili cheese steak sandwich which didnt have the amount of cheese youd expect from a typical one, I had country fried steak and eggs, which came with some potatoes as a side, but many other restaurants also give pancakes or toast for the same price. Quality/taste of the food no complaints, was good. We took our little and he had a kids egg and sausage which was $8. We just wanted to try it out with friends who picked it never being there before either. It was a nice experience overall, but for the price, probably choosing another place first.

Tried this place for the first time before going to a football game. The service was good & I would love to see what this place is like on a Friday or Saturday night. The food was just ok to me. We had an amazing lunch at Didis Downtown! The food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, and it was packed with flavor one of the best I ve had! My wife went with the chicken tacos and fries, and she was equally impressed. Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was okay. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for delicious food and a great dining experience!

Pay close attention here. Not even kidding. We had some of the most delicious, flavorful food we have had in a very long time. Their Pontchartrain blacked catfish and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and perfectly smoked elote corn was phenomenal. B had the blackened red fish with creamy jalapeno smoked gouda grits and elote. Also over the top good. We finished it off with beignets and B had the lemon tiramisu. Never had beignets and I highly recommend them...for 2. The lemon tiramisu was surprisingly excellent as well. They have a large back patio with a live band. So theres that. Make sure you ask for Halle. She said the burgers are some of the best so I got to go back soon.

Sunday brunch on the patio even in summer was awesome. I had the avacado toast with habanero jelly - OMG! Great without the jellly but so much better with. Hubby had the eggs and chicken fried steak and he left nothing on the plate. Fresh ingredients and this chef s s spin make this a must try!

Great experience here! Found it through a TikTok and so glad we did because it s not super big and obvious from the outside. Chef/owner came around to all the tables twice while we were there to check how everyone s experience was, which I love. Between my friend and I we had the fried artichokes, Cobb salad and seared ahi salad, 2 delicious mocktails and the beignets for dessert. All was amazing! Will be back

Omgeee it just dawned on me that Ive been three times in the last two weeks and never left a review. Where do I even start?! The Mac and BBQ nuggets dish is bomb! Sorry, no photo because I was hungry and it was too good to stop. Same for the Hot Honey chicken sandwich. But honestly I love the MOCKtails options. Theyre not lazy drinks where they just add juice and remove the liquor. Nope! They make them just as yummy and favorable just without the liquor. But honestly my favorite part (right behind the hand cut fries) is Scott and his team. There is something special when people remember your face after one visit. The servers never go MIA, but they also dont hover you. They come every once and a while and touch base and make sure you are good. Ive spent a good amount of time here at dinner with friends and I NEVER felt rushed! Makes so much sense why they were tagged 50-11 times on my friends Facebook post when she was looking for a place for us to go. I cant wait until we move closer later this month so I can come more often. Hopefully Ill see you there! Parking: So the parking lot is small BUT I never had an issue parking. My friend did have to park once across the street I believe in front of the church but it was street parking but that was only that one time. Wheelchair accessibility: Youll have no issues rolling up in there for some good food and great company.

Separate from the outdoor patio with full mosquito netting, separate from the amazing live music, they have high end Cajun entrees that are 1/2 the price of Pappadeaux. That was the cherry on top for me. Good creole seafood is hard to find. They also let my redhead daughter sing here with her local NAMS group.

5 Stars all around! Phenomenal service from the host to our waitress. There were so many good food options to choose from which will definitely bring me back. All of the food was made fresh with quality ingredients which I think is what made it so good. Patio has nets to prevent bugs. And the best part . They have an extensive Mock-tail menu and as someone who doesn t drink it was really fun to enjoy live music, a fun mock-tail, and just great energy. Really wanted to enjoy this place because I can tell the owner is passionate about his business. Unfortunately, I found a bug inside of my quesadilla. The staff was very generous and offered to replace my meal, and gave me anything else for free. The food itself wasn t bad, (my sister really liked her grilled club and even considered eating it after the whole ordeal..) but I just want to warn others.

We tried this place for the first time on Mothers Day, and we loved it! I definitely didnt feel like I was even in Frisco. In fact, it reminded me of the type of townie bars and restaurants I liked best in my old college town up north. Super chill vibe, normal people, delicious food, prices were reasonable. After reading reviews and planning to visit the Frisco PGA resort, we planned my Husband s final birthday celebration (for the weekend) right here at Didi s! SOLID CHOICE! We chose outside seating, as the day granted us some PRETTY DANG AWESOME WEATHER! We were served by Candence - SHE S AMAZING! Tons of energy, gave great advise (as I had a tough time making a selection) and never missed a BEAT!!! We began with queso, chips and salsa. Then our entrees: Fish & Chips for me and the [from] SCRATCH tenders for my hubby. He chose a salad instead of fries I kept the fries that came with my fish. Seasoned well! After eating, watching a little golf and chatting, I convinced him of having dessert - After All, it s HIS birthday We ordered the hot fudge PIE - Gooooooodness!!! Warm and lite with a scoop of ice cream. All of it was a 10 outta 10! The cherry on top, was the Chef s greeting and welcoming regard. I drove by this place a few times over the last month and it gave me a very chill, neighborhood not pretentious type of vibe. Yes, a non pretentious vibe in the heart of Frisco. Is that even possible? Im here to tell you it is! Went for brunch on a Sunday and sat outside where they have a big outdoor patio area. It was a bit cold but they had outdoor mushroom heaters so it was all nice and toasty. What impressed me about this place was the quality of the food. When they brought out our plates, I could tell by the colors that everything was super fresh and well cooked. Secondly, Didis has all sorts of eclectic music acts playing music at the patio area which is a major bonus. When we were there they had a reggae band jamming out to some Caribbean/Reggae rhythms (Yeaaaaaah my selecta). Overall the atmosphere was super chill and even got the chance to meet the owner/chef Scott who was making his rounds asking patrons if there was anything that they needed and getting peoples general feedback. You can tell when someone is passionate about what they do and chef Scott is not playing around. What he serves there is an extension of who he is. Also appreciate someone who invests in bringing quality music to their establishment when technically they dont have to. One thing I told him was like he was funky like a monkey. I think he liked that..hehe. I will be back for sure. Support your local non franchise/corporate restaurant folks because they are few and far between these days. Restaurant groups are taking over America one city at a time and we are here to say NO! Power to the people * They also have a rocking happy hour and they have weekly special dishes on the menu to keep the vibe flowing and interesting

Let me tell you that this is a North Texas gem. The atmosphere is unique, food is amazing and the service awesome. The Chef/Owner is involved in his business and cares and is a beautiful thing to witness and be a part of in Frisco which is a rare occurrence. 10/10 would return here and bring my coworkers and clients if given the opportunity. We just came here on Easter (without a reservation) and they were able to seat us right away. Although they were very busy, the service was so fast! The atmosphere was very cool and we loved the live music out on the patio. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The owner/chef came out to check on us and he was so kind. The customer service was excellent! My kids got the strawberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast which were DELICIOUS! My husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak and I loved the picadillo tacos. My mother in law said the gyro was the best one shes ever had! We will definitely recommend this awesome place to others and I hope to retun soon!

Fantastic experience! Ive lived in McKinney for 30 years but my Michigan sister picked this as a place to go for music. It didnt disappoint. Friday night at 7pm and we got right in, band just started and atmosphere was fabulous. Wait staff was tremendous, band was amazing, Beignets were awesome, and quite a family place. I love the idea of a home grown restaurant and Didi fits that bill however I have eaten twice their and the young staff are less than attentive and the food is subpar. It s saddens me because I wanted to like it. The fish and chips were tasteless and the Philly cheese stake was simple awful. Wow! Wish we had tried this place sooner. We are definitely adding it as our top place to eat out now. The atmosphere is great, casual but nice with live music. Our waitstaff was extremely friendly and incredibly efficient. The food was amazing, and the owner/chef checked in with us. After some really good chips and queso, I had the Blackened Catfish Pontchartrain, my wife had the Texican Chicken, and son had the House Burger. We all loved them! Finished off with the delicious Hot Fudge Pie (yum!!!). As we left, we all commented to each other that it was the best outing wed had in a long while. A great experience!

The hot fudge pie is DELICIOUS! Shannon sent us TWO HOT FUDGE PIES!!! Wow! The first slice I had was heated. It was gooey, chocolaty, smooth, creamy, and DELICIOUS! The second slice was chilled after being in the refrigerator overnight and DOUBLE WOW!!! Chocolate doesn t get ANY BETTER!!! The waitress was amazing and the gf accommodations were very safe!!! I ordered the jalapeno bbq burger with a side salad. They cooked my burger in a separate pan to ensure there was no cross contamination. The waitress double-checked with the kitchen that the ranch dressing and burger patty were actually gluten free and not just a gf bun. It is a shared fryer, so no French fries, chips, etc. But these are not makered as GF on the menu so they are honest! I am very impressed with the staff willingness to reassure me and keep the food safe. The gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu! This was my first time to eat here. The food was some of the best I have ever had. I had the smoother fries and the scratched chicken dinner. Normally when I eat fried food I feel bloated afterwards. However, not sure how they cook it but it was not greasy at all and I left feeling really good. The staff was very good and the chef came by to ask how the food was. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is in the area. This is definitely a hidden gem. I was lucky to be near by when I type place to eat near me. It was nothing over the top or beyond expectation. My wife ordered the honey chicken sandwich - it was flavorful and quite a large portion. My daughter and I shared a Philadelphia cheese steak on gluten free bread (we have Celiac). The bun was a standard Udis type burger bun - dry and crumbly. Theres far better options these days for GF bread. The meat was likely pulled chuck roast with one slice of red pepper and an underwhelming amount of cheese. I expected a portion at least twice the size. For the price, I expect far better. House salad was small. The $8 mocktail was 1/3 of the amount of liquid you receive in the smallest Sonic limeade. Shouldve been $2 or less. The fruit (pictured) was fresh and $4... In reality it was 30¢ worth of old fruit. The servers and staff were friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the live music was welcomed. We ate here on a Thursday evening and parked not too far along the street. This is a regular in our rotation! We even bring family and friends when they come in from out of town. The quality is consistent and its very clear the owner takes care in curating the weekly menu with in-season ingredients. We havent had very many misses at Didis. My husband loves their shrimp tacos, gyros, and Frito chili pie. I love their chicken Bianca and meatloaf. The atmosphere is also great! The outside patio is nice and spacious. They have local musicians playing pretty much every Thurs-Sun. On the weekend during the summer, its best to call ahead for outdoor seating but indoor is just as good.

The servers were friendly and helpful, but seemed to be stretched thin on a busy Friday night. There was a band with live music in the back. The dining indoors was not crowded, and we did not have to wait to be seated. I ordered fish, which was seasoned well, but unfortunately overcooked and tough to cut with a fork. The philly steak sandwich my partner ordered had a soft, tasty bun but lacked enough fixings to make it suitable for the title of a philly cheesesteak. Id like to come back and try again. We might have caught them on a night when they were shorthanded. I will update my review accordingly if the experience is improved.

This was a really fun place for brunch/lunch on the weekend. Great covered outdoor patio with plenty of fans and shade to keep you cool. They also had a singer who was really good the day we went. The staff is very friendly and the food was fantastic! OK I know what youre thinking I got a veggie burger which is a frozen patty. Heres how I know the rest of what they cook up is also delicious. My very first clue was how well the patty was seasoned and cooked, second clue was all the other food including my husbands looked just as delicious, and three when you have a veggie burger on your menu and dont cook it right I can tell and that was one of the best Ive had so thank you!

I hate to say this but the last few times we have gone, the food is just not good anymore. Everyone had a wide variety of dishes at our table of 8 and I think I was the only one that liked my sandwich (Deluxe BLT sandwich). Which isnt saying much because its just a BLT. Really use to love this place but the food is not worth going or worth the prices. Service is always great and fun atmosphere though.

I was keen to try the curbside service Didis advertised on Google Maps. When I called to place an order, the host directed me to the bartender, but my call got disconnected. I called again, and this time, the host had to personally take the phone to the bartender. Even after clarifying that I wanted curbside service, I had a challenging back-and-forth with the bartender. In the end, I was told all orders must be picked up at the bar. As I approached the restaurant, I saw the Didis delivery vehicle (which Ive included in this review). I cant understand why my simple curbside request was so complicated. Frustrated, I called another restaurant nearby and had a seamless curbside pick-up experience there.

Very good artichoke hearts! They come with some sort of aioli that wasnt good, but add your own homemade ranch and theyre some of the best Ive had (or ask for ranch - I didnt try theirs as I had ranch with me from a place earlier in the day so figured Id give the aioli a fair chance since I had a plan b). Theyre not super meaty which sounds bad but was actually quite good, the batter is excellent and light and they have a very nice airy crunch. Very few tough outer leaves. Will be trying to come back for more before I leave town!

I really liked Didis. Great patio, and even in this intolerable heat, it was set up with fans and covered so we actually sat outside for brunch and listened to a band and enjoyed it. I loved my omelette and the potatoes. We had some mimosas. Service was good. I sent a few pics back to my boyfriend as a place I thought hed like and I definitely want to return.

First time here and it was amazing!!! Everything from the food to the wait staff was an amazing experience!!! We live in Fort Worth and we were watching our granddaughter play basketball at the Field House , looked you guys up and so glad we did!!! We will be back!! Food is secondary here. I would go for the atmosphere- maybe for drinks on the patio on a nice day, or for the live entertainment. The inside is very dark and not my kind of vibe but I can see how live entertainment would shine. Service was fine, I just didnt experience the exceptional attentive service so many people cited in reviews. Delicious drinks but wouldnt recommend going for the food specifically as its average at best.
