Love the classes here! The facilities are clean and the child care area has recently been updated. The Waterpark in the summer is fun. Definitely on the smaller side, but for my young family its perfect. The slides are good and the lines are never very long. The playground is really fun for younger kids.

A great place to take your kids. It offers a variety of things to do in the waterpark such as slides, the lazy river, and a playground in the water. They have a very good snack bar, but we brought our own food sometimes. For residents, the price is very reasonable.

So there we were, trying to make plans for the day. Nothing outside sounded good. Until we began to pass the athletic center. And there she was the biggest water park this side of the Mississip. We decided to take the shot and try it out and boooooy howdy did we make the right decision. We kicked back in the sun while the kids ran around like Anxiety from the movie Inside-out 2. There was so much to do that at one point we lost a few kids for a while but they showed back up when they became hungry. The atmosphere was great and we got seats pretty easily. Staff was nice and there were lots of employees which made us feel safer than the declaration of independence when Nick Cage ain t around. I would definitely recommend FAC to anyone who needs to cool off.

Management of the basketball courts are kinda terrible. There are like 70 people playing pickup on all the courts so no individual practice at all. Plus some of those people are very rude and also give no space for any other people. So crowded, if you come late, it is a waste of $70.

Amazing. Nice recreation spot in heart of the city Frisco. I visited during summer break and its packed with kids. Even adults can enjoy like me. Entry is free if you have FAC membership. Else $13/adult. Decent sized dress changing rooms for men, women, family. Snack place to buy. This place has many lifeguards, good water rides, lazy pool.

As much as I went in to sign up with them last week, I couldnt. The place is begging for an overhaul, the indoor water slide was not functional and rusted, I can only imagine what the other outdoor slides look like, basket ball court is taken over by pickle ball folks, atleast 35 kids in the rest of the court on a weekday the gym was busy even on a weekday and I can only imagine what weekends must look like. The front end customer service has no pamplets, brochures or any printed documents to give the info out, it almost felt like they didnt want to do business there. Anyways the same day I sent to the Apex mckinney with my brother and what a difference, agreed they are slightly expensive but had a great experience. Perhaps frisco should take a cue from them.

They might as well not even have basketball courts if all they re going to do is rent them out to pickleball and exercise programs that steal money from families calling it sports training. As shared by other reviewers the Group Exercise is non existent. There used to be almost daily Aerobic Dance classes but about 4 months ago one of the instructors left and so far the FAC has not bothered to find a replacement despite emails from many of the people in the class. When some of the members of the class tried to have a volunteer member lead a session we were told we should not be dancing on our own. Now the other instructor left for a long vacation and guess what. There is no going to be someone else substituting her. I have kept paying for the family membership only because of the summer water park for my kids. I already joined crunch fitness where they have daily Zumba classes. Once summer is over I will stop paying $70 for a gym that lacks the seriousness of other places. I have come to realize that this gym is terribly mismanaged. I constantly get the GEX Update emails indicating xxx has been CANCELED due to instructor/sub unavailability. Any other gym would have a roster of subs to keep classes going despite absences of the instructors.

My family visited the water park at this location and had an excellent time. Every pool and the lazy river is wheelchair accessible. The water features are well made. The lifeguards were very attentive. There is plenty of shaded seating. The food from the concession stand. Everyone had a good time. The only drawback is the concrete ground in the park gets very hot, so I would recommend water shoes.

Frisco Athletic Center is an AMAZING facility! More suburbs should make facilities like this! Great gym, classes, indoor pool, water park, life guards, trainers, bball courts, racket ball, pickleball (on Sundays) and tons of classes. And the price is. Awesome! Only thing I would change is the limited hours, but 25 hours is too much to expect from city parks and rec. But all in all... Its AMAZING!

We noticed online a childs play area, warm water pool, lazy river and a large water slide. We took our Grandson there to enjoy the amenities only to find both the childs play area and the slide were closed. We spoke with the life guards who said they have both been closed for several months. On top of that the pool water was very cold and the warm water area was only slightly warmer. I feel we should have been told when we called or at least when we paid that parts of the center were not working...or at least given a discount. Instead we paid full price and ended up only staying an hour because we were bored and cold. Very disappointing

I witnessed a nursing mother asking to sit and nurse her baby be refused this right! As a mother I find this highly disturbing and hope that something is done about this j lawful act! Thomas Ward is the employee who refused my friend the right to nurse her baby on demand and he told her to nurse in the change room or bathroom area which is unhygienic and uncalled for. It is a mothers legal right to feed her baby wherever she sees fit!
