Today i went here with my 3 kids. We LOVED dining here and Eliot helped us out and he was extremely welcoming and nice with extremely great service. He also helped my little one with chopsticks by giving him chopstick helpers. The food was excellent!!! Love you guys!

If you like Wasabi with your Sushi do not order from Madai or make sure you have some on hand. We ordered $94.00 worth of Sushi for delivery. When our food arrived there was no Wasabi. I called the restaurant and talked to the Manager. When I asked him why they wouldnt include Wasabi in a $94.00 order he said that they did and he personally handed the Wasabi to the delivery person...when I asked him why would you hand a delivery person a bag of food and separately hand them a side of Wasabi instead of putting it in the bag? He just repeated his answer, when I asked the question again he refused to answer the question repeated himself and hung up the phone. Needless to say I will NOT order from them again. It is bad enough that they forgot the Wasabi but then to lie about it and with such a ridiculous lie is unforgivable!

I chose to have my moms surprise birthday party at Madai Sushi and I could not be any happier! They were so accommodating to everything that I asked and their food was delicious. I got combination thai fried rice which tasted great and everyone elses food looked good as well! If anyone ever wants to book ahead of time they do reservations which was great planning-wise for me. Thank you so much to the staff of Madai Sushi for a great time. (They even put on the happy birthday song on their speaker system to sing to my mom) I would most definitely come back!

Our absolute favorite place for sushi, noodles, apps and desserts! They have a great kids menu and sushi for happy hour. The food is fresh and our waiter Eliot is always super friendly! They even offer specialty vegan roll (Bangkok roll) which is my fav! We have been going to happy hour here for a while. The service is absolutely amazing. They recognize and greet us each time we are there. Madai has long been one of my local go tos for a weekday lunch break. Their Basil Thai Chicken over rice is true Asian perfection. The staff is Texas friendly and ever welcoming. They know my usual and are preparing it as a walk up to the door. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. Its rather hidden away at the back side of the strip mall but so worth the search.

Stopped by this place the first time a couple weeks ago and its already become a new favorite. They have an extensive menu and the food is fantastic. They are super friendly and accommodating- just ask for what you want if you have a special request or preferred cut. On quieter days, its a laid back atmosphere. They do have happy hour during the week and serve a variety of alcohol, so unsure what this, or a weekend night looks like. Overall, a great place for sushi, poke, rolls, stir fry and more.

My husband and I are having a wonderful date night here! We are sitting on a cute outdoor patio. The waiter has been witty and charming. He made great recommendations! Though I was not the biggest sushi lover - Madai changed that! My boyfriend and I have visited this place multiple times this month, and it is AMAZING every time! The service is extremely fast, the staff is so kind, and the quality of the food is excellent. Please visit this place, get the Louisiana roll, & thank me later! ;) Dietary restrictions: They are accommodating to removing certain ingredients in the rolls. My boyfriend and I are both allergic to avocado and have to ask that they remove it from all our rolls. They are so kind and helpful about it!

I came here with a friend last weekend based on his recommendation. This restaurant used to be a Thai restaurant and had either a change of ownership or expanded their menu. Anyways, when we arrived, we were welcome fairly quickly and asked where we wanted to sit. Originally, we decided the bar area but ended up moving to a table nearby. Our waiter, Sean, greeted us and provided us with 2 menus - a paper one and a more descriptive menu with pictures and ingredients. We were also served warm water with lemon in a mug. Sean was helpful in giving his recommendations when we wanted to decide our order. We ordered Veggie Egg Rolls for our appetizer. We also added on a Bonsai Roll, Cosmo Roll, Wasabi Caviar, and Quail Eggs. We received the Veggie Egg Rolls fairly quickly. It was served fresh and hot. The pastry in itself was very flaky and I enjoyed the bite of the egg roll. It went really well with the duck sauce. Next, we received the Bonsai Roll and Cosmo Roll. The Bonsai Roll had spicy yellowtail and avocado in the middle, and was topped with albacore tuna. I really enjoyed the ponzu sauce on the side of the plate and it tasted fresh. I generally lean more towards smoked salmon when I get sushi so the Cosmo Roll was interesting. The Cosmo Roll had cream cheese and smoked salmon. The exterior of the roll was lightly fried with some tempura batter so it added some sweetness. The crunch and texture was really good. This was probably my most favorite roll of the 2. My friend had never had caviar before so we originally ordered the black caviar because we noted that we indicated it was buttery in the menu. Unfortunately, we were informed that the black caviar had run out so they offered Tobiko (red caviar) and Wasabi Caviar. Personally, I m not a huge fan of wasabi in excess so I was hesitant towards it. My friend, however, is a huge fan so we ended up getting it. I was very very surprised by the taste. The wasabi was not overpowering and it was surprisingly good when served with the nori. I d love to give the black caviar a try. We also ordered quail eggs and that was new for me. They were served with the top taken off and a mixture of sauces were added on top. As soon as I took this shot , I made a face. I wasn t sure if it was the mixture of sauces, but it was definitely an experience. If you ve never had quail eggs, I d recommend giving this a try. Ultimately, I plan to go here again. My experience here was quite nice, and I look forward to trying other dishes. I also have to thank Sean, our waiter, for being patient and very helpful. We received top notch service from him!

We discovered Madai during pandemic. So glad they survived the unprecedented difficult time as a local owned restaurant. From only allowed to ordering takeout back then to now dining in is an option, our experience has always been great here. We have plenty of favorites: Chirashi Bowl Hamachi Kama Double Crabs Tom Kha Soup Drunken Noodles Pad Woonsen and their freshly made sushi rolls. All staffs were friendly, efficient and attentive. Sean and Elliott always took excellent care of us. If you havent tried Madai, please do. Highly recommend.

This was first time we went to this Japanese and sushi bar. Although sushi looked so tempting but we decided to try other things first. So we ordered Tom-Yum soup and some dumplings. All the food tastes good and flavourful. I wish we could have said 1 on spice level. Ambience was great, colorful and clean. Cozy environment, not a big place for sitting but there was decent space. We absolutely love Madai! Excellent service, delicious food, great experience all around!! The waiters are very friendly and get to know you. They have our order memorized when we walk in. Very comfortable atmosphere with delicious, fresh food. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu, its all good. My go-to is the beef teriyaki and my husband loves the miso soup and sushi menu, rainbow and spider rolls in particular. Madai is a true gem to the Frisco/McKinney community

The best place for quick, fast pick up. I love their basic rolls and fried rice. They also carry a wonderful plum sake called moonstone. I personally like to pick up rather than go inside bc they have a pretty small inside and patio as well. We went for husband birthday because he loves Japanese food. He ordered the galamari, deep fry tofu for appetizers, the sashimi combo and tariyaki chicken bento box for the kid. they advertise being open, with the open sign on, then tell customers to leave because they close in 15 minutes. Great food & service!! We had the shrimp tempura rolls, Cosmo Roll, Crab Fried Rice, and Curry Noodle. All was great. Service was excellent as well. He even showed my kiddos how to use chopsticks. We will definitely be back.

Our go to spot, usually get the roll and fried rice and both are great. Service is also always top notch, and their prices seem right in line with what Id expect. The only downside is they are closed Mondays, which always seems to be the day we want it! Lol

Came here for lunch during the week. Very pleased with the food and staff. The waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about what the dishes contained and how they are prepared. Seemed like a hole In wall type of place but it s definitely a diamond In the rough.. great relaxed atmosphere and fast service. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Will definitely continue to visit this restaurant.

Wow such amazing food, this is truly a gem I highly recommend the poke tacos and the jelly sake drink Service was great, and food didn t take too long to come out. Location isn t fancy but it s very clean and somewhat cozy. Will definitely be back again with my friends and family!

Fantastic sushi and my favorite in this area! Surprised me how great it is because it s hidden in a strip mall but the sashimi and sushi were fresh, the service was fantastic. We have ordered delivery (grubhub) twice and it was delivered perfectly and as ordered! Two thumbs up! Glad to have found and tried this great spot

I only do pick up here and my food is always ready in 10 minutes. Staff is friendly and courteous. I love their Ginger Chicken. I know it sounds like an Indian dish but its a stir fry that goes so well with rice. Very consistent quality. They close between lunch and dinner so Id recommend calling them before heading there.
