My family and I had the opportunity to work with Philip Moore on an untraditional family matter for our teen son. A friend of mine referred Attorney John Pfister and another Attorney in the same area to me. I called the other Attorney s office first to schedule a consultation. I was told that the attorney s assistant would discuss the case with me. Then I called MR. John s office, I was told that Mr. John would conduct the consultation with me. I walked in the law firm with uncertainty and full of worries. John patiently listened to my situation, took notes, asked questions, and gave me his suggestions if he would take my divorce case. Then I started the journey with John and his assistant Cathy. After 5 months, I got my peace back. During the process, John, Cathy and their office staff responded my emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner. They explained steps and expectations regarding the process and gave me the encouragement as well. They were also flexible by adjusting the strategies based on the progress of my case to achieve my best interest. Mr. John was also very sharp on reaching a deal without further complications in the court room. Lastly, the office s billing is transparent and honest. I received my refund of the retainer timely once the case was finalized. I would highly recommend Mr. John to represent your case.

I hired John to take on my modification of child custody/divorce decree. John and his paralegal Cathy were amazing to work with. John is an artist in the courtroom and Cathy is phenomenal to work with. Cathy handles most of the day to day dialogue and I felt like I had John s ear at all times through Cathy. I had a nightmare experience with previous lawyers and was beyond pleased with my experience with John. I will not turn anywhere else in the future if I need future counsel and will retain John. In the end, he took a a long brutal road I ve traveled and gave me hope and helped me win custody of my amazing children. I would recommend John and his staff 10/10 times.

I have retained Pfister Law Firm to assist in my child custody case that is a bit of a complicated case. I met with John Pfister twice for consultations before retaining the firm, John helped me to understand my out of state order and advised what I needed to do to complete my plan. He was very kind but also has the shark mentality. At the time of the consultations, I did not meet any of the other lawyers but when it came time to need a lawyer I reached back out and was paired with Philip and Dakota. I will be the first to admit this is not my first rodeo in child custody drama and I have a bit of lawyer PTSD. So, I over google and over panic. If you are like me and reading this review email Pfister family law for a consultation, they will work hard for you and try to make it so you do not feel the need to google/go into panic mode. Philip is a bit stern, but you can certainly tell he knows the laws and will fight for his client. I was a bit nervous for meeting with Dakota since I have only ever had male attorneys, but she is wonderful. She is also very knowledgeable and has my children s best interest as the top priority. This trio is definitely a great team, I am hopeful for this process and promise to stay off google and let them do their job. I would recommend this firm to other single mothers that are looking for a firm to keep their children s best interests the priority. Once my case is finalized I will be sure to update this review to add the results and feedback.

Loved working with John Pfister. I had hired an attorney that was not working in my best interests, instead she would let the opposing counsel get her way about everything - but then I hired John. He worked to get me the best settlement possible and in the shortest period of time. He was as able to get me a better settlement than what is thought was possible. Previous to retaining John as my attorney, I had unfortunately hired another attorney who is a well-known divorce and family attorney in McKinney in an all women firm. I had a very bad experience with this female attorney , It seemed she was representing my ex instead of me. I knew I needed to find an attorney to ensure my rights were being represented. I spoke to John and Immediately hired him. I felt this was an attorney, who would look out for my interest. My only regret is not hiring John from the beginning. John had my interest in mind and fought for the best outcome for my case.

We had used the Pfister Family Law Firm services 5 different times. My divorce, my actual husbands divorce, 2 custody modifications for my stepson and one custody modification for my own son. And, I must say that John Pfister and Cathy were fantastic family attorney all those times. We are blessed because now my husband and I have the primary custody of our sons. We appreciate all their help on those emotional and overwhelmingly moments. John really cares about you as a person. He doesnt see you as a money number. I paid much less than my ex-husband and we had much guide and help from their firm when I was in panic mood. My biggest regret was that I didnt find John soon enough before I paid for the previous two attorneys wasting $6,000+ without getting anything done. If you re looking for someone to shoot you straight with the utmost integrity that you can trust with one of the most difficult times of your lives, then he s worth your time and money. After consulting with very high end attorneys, I was referred to John. I went to the consultation and was very impressed with his knowledge and his desire to help me with my case. It was a long battle and of course I got worried, but in the end, John, with his skills and knowledge prevailed! And let me say the opposing attorney was a high dollar and feared by some counsel. John won our case for our daughter..he aims to win...he is a good attorney..and he is well liked in the Collin County County system...He is a little overpriced but..if you want to win..he is the man..if you can tolerate the lady in the office who conviently lost record of half of our payment..for Johns ervices..She claims they got a new system for record keeping and when I was un happy about losing record of our payments..she became very rude with us..which is totally unacceptable...but if I wanted to win and had the extra bucks ..I would choose him again..and again,Hence he didnt get 5 stars due to his judgement in his staff selection

John Pfister has been an exceptional family attorney for me during some seriously tumultuous times. My ex and I have gone through two different modifications (for reasons I will not go into). John overwhelmingly beat both attorneys both times and I now have primary custody of my son. #Fathersrights A few times I was frustrated about the lack of communication but it turned out that the lack of communication was because there was nothing to tell me. Instead of billing me to tell me nothing he waited until we had a reason to talk. Many people want their attorney to hand-hold them through a very emotional time but that can get expensive. I appreciated that he looked out for my money as well as my child. My ex s attorney charged her like she was a money printing press. She paid 3x more than I did and John and I had a 100% win in court for my child. I read another review about John that said all he cared about was winning for his client; um isn t that the whole point of hiring him?? Overall he did everything I needed, he got my child everything he needed, he kept me calm throughout the process (even when I was anything but calm), and charged a fair price for an attorney of his caliber. I highly recommend John Pfister and so do 2 of my friends who have had the same success with him.

If you looked up slime ball attorney in the dictionary you would find a picture of John Pfister. Its attorneys like him that taint they whole bunch. John Pfister cares about one thing, how much money he can extract from each file. John Pfister will create drama and discontent when there is none and will turn a contentious divorce into all out war all for his financial gain. John Pfister care nothing about his clients or any kids that may be involved. He cares only about winning and money. Do not ever use any counselor, therapist, or testing company that he wants to use during the divorce. He only uses or recommends people that he has a history of working with and who have found favorably. Especially do not allow him to recommend Shannon Bradshaw as a therapist for for children. You will be hard pressed to find another pair as unethical as these two. In my case, he tried to force us to use her despite there being plenty of other options in the Frisco area. Bradshaw wouldnt even meet with me until I signed the consent forms. Never mind that I have a minor in psychology and wanted to discuss her philosophy on treating children the age of my sons and well as her methods. John Pfister delayed treatement my kids for 7 months because he wouldnt agree to anyone else. Ultimately the judge sided with us and chose someone else. Furthermore, throughout the divorce he never once acted in the best interest of the children. My ex was ordered to do alcohol and drug testing during the divorce. He insisted on using Forensic DNA in Dallas. The judge ordered that the testing company set the testing schedule. When my ex went to setup up the testing they told the company it was voluntary and never supplied the courts order to the company. This my ex was allowed to set her own testing schedule that was ridiculous. Then when she still failed John Pfister went with her to try and prove that it was mouthwash, toothpaste, and teeth whitening products that were causing her to fail, not alcohol. Never once did John Pfister hold her accountable for her alcohol issues or try an get her into treatment. Furthermore, he endangered my kids by not providing the orders to the testing company and letting her set the ridiculous testing schedule. Three months passed before we found out and the testing that was ordered by the court was finally implemented. When she was ordered to do a drug test by the end of the day in a court hearing that required her to do 4 random UAs a month, they repeated the same behavior. John Pfister nor my ex told the company it was court ordered or that she was to be tested randomly 4 times a month. I had to call the company myself and send over the court orders to get the random testing implemented. My ex also stated, as others have, that John and his staff are unresponsive for days at a time. Throughout the process John did whatever he could to run the bill up on my ex to the point her bill was ultimately 3x what mine was. Under no curcumstance should you hire John Pfister or anyone else from his unethical firm. If your spouse has hired them, be warned that he will attempt to game the system at every turn in order to win and couldnt careless about the best interest of your children.
