In order to help our adult daughter through what would become a long difficult divorce process, our family needed an experienced family law attorney. Since we didnt know who could help us, we turned to a long time real estate attorney friend of ours for a recomendation. Without hesitation, he recommended that we contact Marc May. Marc quickly arranged an initial meeting. During our first meeting, Marc made sure that he got to know us as a family, our daughters situation and what our goals were. He then clearly explained the range of legal costs that we could anticipate based on our team approach. Marc made us feel very comfortable and confident that our problem was in good hands. Often a divorce procedure can become a very messy series of legal actions driven by the clients emotional connection to the case. If not skillfully guided by legal counsel, this approach can easily create additional unnecessary legal costs to the client. Marc clearly understands this dynamic and is careful to explain all legal avenues available to the client along with the cost benefit of each approach in order to help the client control legal costs. Proficiency with compassion We recently found ourselves in need of legal advice for the first time. Marc May has represented me multiple times over the past 10 years. All case outcomes were in my favor. Marc has a LOT of experience - and it shows. He does charge a little more due to his experience - however, his experience and expertise will save money in the course of the case - because he knows how to get cases resolved quickly - ultimately saving $$$! Marc and Macy were amazing! Marc came highly recommended to me by 2 different people who said he was the BEST, and they were completely right! It was so amazing that he made time to meet with me the same day I contacted him. Going to court was such an intimidating experience for me, especially when it involved the well-being of my young children, but May and May worked tirelessly for me and made a horrible situation less scary. I trusted them completely in a messy divorce/custody dispute, and they succeeded every step of the way. I had been originally referred to Marc May while going through a difficult modification case. I had been given several recommendations for attorneys. However, after meeting with Marc for our initial consultation, I knew he was the right attorney to represent my case. He only told me what he thought he could do for my children and myself and did not lead me to believe he could do any more than what he said based on our specific circumstances for the case. He made certain that I knew my rights and we established a plan to achieve our goal. Marc and his firm executed that plan swiftly, effectively and represented me exceptionally well until we resolved our modification shortly thereafter. Marc was always well prepared during any of our depositions and hearings. He is an exceptional attorney and I would gladly use his firm again if there is ever a need in the future.

I would give Marc and Macy both 100 stars if Google allowed. After beginning to write my review here, something had called my attention away. When I came back just now to complete it, I saw that Id mistakenly hit 1 star and it posted. Please be assured that was my error. From the first time I met them, the COMPASSION, CARE, RESPONSIVENESS, and PROFESSIONALISM demonstrated by Marc, Macy, and their legal assistant far surpassed the norm- and still does today. They truly had (and have) my back. From my first appointment, I knew Id be in good hands and I cancelled appointments Id made to interview other attorneys because I hired them on the spot. What stood out to me when I first met them was INTEGRITY. As they were working so diligently on my behalf during one of the most difficult seasons of my life, I not only received stellar legal care, but also I unexpectedly received so much more-- fears were eased, wisdom was imparted, and a trusted family friendship has developed. I have known Marc May for 30 years, so when I needed a family law lawyer I knew exactly where to go. I chose him because hes a good listener, very intelligent, and easy to talk to. Hes a straight-shooter, so not the guy if you want someone who sugar coats things. I would trust the partners at May and May with any legal aspect of my life.
