I have been ordering Chinese food for delivery, for years! Things you can always count on - big portions, hot and the rice in the standard white box! Not here!! Less than 50% of what is expected, had to heat it up and not even close to being full! Cant charge these prices and swing and miss like this! Will it be ordering again.

For me to eat dumplings, the chilli oil is very important, and it has the most disgusting flavor. They put so much star anis in the chilli oil that I do not even taste the chillies, just overpowering star anis. And that ruins everything. The dumplings are not so great either by thmselves. The chicken mushroom dumplings, after having one bite, the stuffing just slides out of the wraper. The stuffing of Shrimp tofu dumplings is mushy. And neither of those two fillings have any sort of flavor. Even they ruined the flavor of red bean bun somehow, the bean is not cooked properly, crunchy instead of smooth, and it has some kind of fermented Congee flavor which further ruins its flavor. The service and ambiance is not great either. The person who receives you to put in waiting list for a table is terrible. And they have disproportionately more large tables. So half of their restaurant is empty but still parties of 2 or 3 or less have to wait for more than 20 minutes to get seated. The ambiance is worst, will not spend my Friday evening ever again there. And when they clean the tables, they used some bleach and when we sat at the table, all we can smell is horrible bleach, for a lot of time. Overall I wasted $120 worth of food for a party of 5.

Been there twice and food is amazing to just ok Seasoning is off on some dishes but spot on with others. Steamed rice was not moist throughout with many grains having a crunch. Servers are nice but somewhat strange in the dining room with hollering to one another. I dont think they are aware of the disturbance they cause.

Food could have had more flavor. Everytime we had questions about anything on the menu we didnt get any clear responses so we didnt know what we were getting. On top of the okish service they came chasing after demanding tips which feels like bad form. We dont skimp on tips but this wasnt worth it.

All their dishes are fresh and very hot. We have been there four times, we like certain dishes better than others, but all of them are freshly cooked, no dish is pre-cooked then re-heated at the time you order. One of our favorite restaurants.

They will literally not give you the service they must and charge you tip forcefully. We ordered four dishes, the food was fine (not great and not bad). We ordered sprite too but I asked the server to change bring a glass without ice, which he didnt get unless I asked for it again. I didnt want to pay the tip, so I paid the bill and left. That same guy who actually didnt do a good service ran after us outside to have my husband sign and circle on either of the tip option. I mean who does that? Had he come after me, I would have never given him any tip. Beware of this guy! Food is average!

We were craving dumplings and decided to try this place it s amazing! The ambiance is really nice, and the see-through kitchen builds trust that the place is clean. As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to order. They have a few vegetarian dishes, and we tried the hot and sour soup and vegetable dumplings both were great! We would definitely be visiting this place again

I would definitely recommend checking this place out. My buddy and I kind of splurged and got three different dishes to share. It ended up being a little more than $20 each. It was definitely worth the amount of food that came out. All the portions were large and easily shareable. On top of that, everything was delicious! If I lived in the Dallas area I would definitely visit regularly.

Zero service after ordering. The fish dumplings were good and beef bun was OK, the beef noodle soup was pretty bad, like soy sauce broth. Worst beef noodle soup Ive had. Will not return. Due to no service and bad food, we decided not to tip. Then an 18% tip showed up on our credit card statement! This is fraud! The food was already expensive. If you want to eat here, Id use cash. Unbelievable. Stay away.

Considering the name; the dumplings were the most disappointing item we ordered. They didnt look great to begin with and fell apart trying to get them out the steamer. Customer service could use some work but glad they took the dumplings off our order. Terriyaki chicken was good but i would love to talk to the genius that decided to plate it on a bed of lettuce and uncooked broccoli. The fried rice, crab Rangoon even the red sauce was poor quality and taste. Wouldn t recommend or return.

The food here wasnt bad. The buns are probably what Id recommend trying but hopefully they cook all of them right since one of our buns wasnt cooked fully. The raw dough did disappoint a little but not enough to where wed give them a mediocre rating. Ill give them a second chance at that. The beef pancakes had pretty good flavor and the noodles, in my opinion, were blah. At least try for yourself though.

Bathroom was dirty, my shoes stuck to the floor with every step. The buns were pre-steamed, the beef was not cooked, and not hot. My husband got chicken Szechuan and I got beef- they both looked good but no flavor, the beef had a layer of fat on top and the beef was fatty. The chive cakes were salty and oily, but the best of all dishes. The decor was nice. The service was fine, nothing special. We will not be coming back.

This location is far better than the one in Plano. Its noticeably newer and cleaner. The menu is pretty much the same across the two locations. Services is pretty fast and the dumplings are hot. You get a good amount of fried rice to share between 2-3 people, depending on how much each person is able to eat. The price is pretty on par with most similar places. Sodas are by the can so each one will cost you. Its pretty open and a decent amount of seating for the space. Its bright and the noise level is fairly quiet, even when its full. Yes, recommended if you like dumplings.

0/10. I came in today and was rudely and slowly greeted. I continued to move forward when the service when I should have left. They give you this horrible hot and sour soup. I wait a while for my food, others were also complaining about the wait. I finally get my chicken fried rice with the egg roll. Egg roll was not that great but it wasn t the worst. I only had a small bite. They brought me out BURNT, yes BURNT fried rice. I called the manager back over who preceded to just stare at the food. I told her I would like to just leave. She then walked away, went to her computer, looked back at me and said I can give you 10% off I said excuse me I am not paying at all. The rice is burnt. You can t eat it. She went back to computer, I am unsure what she was doing but, at this time I got up, went up to her and let her know I was leaving and refused to pay. She then proceeded to tell me well are you going to leave a tip for the table I said absolutely not. I didn t get serviced. All they did was bring me out a glass of questionable looking water and never came back until my burnt food came out. She then just shooed me away to leave. The only reason why I don t have a pic of this food ( if that is what you want to call it)is because I was in the area getting my broken phone serviced. Worse service and horrible food.

We were seated almost immediately however other groups were waiting almost as long as we were there, and it was not a crowded night at all. We got half our food, then waited maybe 20 minutes before they brought the check, and when we told them we didnt ever get the rest of the food and asked if they could take it off the check, they all of a sudden had it all ready, even though we were done eating. Some tables were getting frustrated because the waiters werent refilling their waters the entire night. We will not be back.

I wanted to try dumpling house for some time now. We came here once before and they were closing up mid day for a break before dinner time. We came again on a Wednesday night at 8pm and had to wait 10 minutes for a table, which we thought was odd. But sitting down, you can see there s no tables for 2, only for quads or big family tables. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, general tso s chicken and white rice, and the house special fried buns. The food came out pretty quick, the presentation looks very nice but as someone who s had Asian food/ soup dumplings since toddler age, something was missing in the taste for all the items we ordered. They tasted good, but something was off, it might need more salt or MSG. The pork soup dumplings lacked that pork flavor, and there wasn t too much soup inside. The fried pork buns were good, very big in size, but i wish it had more meat to bun ratio. The general tso s was okay, I rather get sesame chicken next time. Overall, it s not pricey, it s pretty decent but I don t think I would come again because the taste and flavor is lacking. It would be perfect for someone who s never had soup dumplings or eat much Chinese food.

As much as we love their food the service is so poor. They barley understand English and no server manners. The lady took our appetizer order on napkin. We asked for another drink few times and he smacked it to the table when he brought it. After ordering our starters he took the menu away . He wasnt even checking on us.We had to get up, go to the front and ask for the menu. Dinner got on the table and in about 5 min they dropped the check. After few min the guy came and asked if we can pay because they are closing the register. Usually if your kitchen is about to close you go to the table and nicely tell them that the kitchen is about to close is there anything else you would like to order ? Not that asking to pay while its not even 10:00. oK we paid and he was waiting for us to sign and asked us if we can sign... seriously? Spent over 100.00 and wont go back. they really need to work on the service.

The other couple got up to remind the hostess that we had all been waiting for tables and she acted surprised and then suddenly acknowledged all of us waiting for a table. We walk to the host stand and advise a party of 3 and they inform me that it will be a 15-20 minute wait. I look around there are open tables so I assume they don t have all of their staff. There was a party of 7 who came in with no reservation and instantly get seated. I ask the host that sat them that I was waiting on a table and she continues to tell me I will have to wait for an opening. I sit back down a party of 4 walks in with no reservation and instantly get seated along with a party of two right after to get seated. I instantly got frustrated and left. This type of service is unacceptable and unprofessional, I was mostly upset because my daughter was disappointed that she was not able to try the dumplings.

Everything is standard here and decent. The noodles in the beef noodle soup were a bit thicker to our taste but they are of decent quality. The hot and sour soup was a little low on salt but can be forgiven. We signed the receipt but the service lady came back to us straight up asking to tip , to which I had to reciprocate with equally straight up no because there is nothing to tip about. Prevailing toxic tipping culture of America can be experienced at most Chinese restaurants.

This place used to be good, and we went regularly. Today, however, its a different story. The Beef Noodles Soup we ordered was not the same as before. We let the manager know when he asked if we needed a box for to-go. We have taken literally one bite, the waiter never came check on us and see how the food was after he dropped off the food. The manager admitted that the recipe has changed but blamed it on us for not saying something sooner. Well, we didnt see our waiter, and I couldnt walk away from my toddler to flag someone down, not to mention that it would be extremely rude to do so. They didnt offer to take it off the check, which was very disappointing because you knew your noodle soup was not like before.

Craving for some dumpling and this place came in our search list. Menu had good options and described clearly. Ambience of this place was good . We had veggie lo mein and pork shrimp dumpling . Both were good perfectly flavorful . One of the best vegetarian lo mein I had had in this area loaded with some good veggies like water chestnuts, mushroom and bamboo shoots.

Really wanted to like this place, but it fell short. To be clear, my experience is from getting takeout. Egg rolls were overly fried. Got the beef onion dumplings and the signature dumplings - the meat portions in the dumplings are way tinier compared to any other Chinese restaurant Ive been. There was nothing special about the flavors of the dumplings. The sesame chicken was drier than a forest before a fire. Definitely far too overpriced for the quality you get!

my mom and i went to eat lunch. impatient and rude waiters. they took the bill from us too soon, and we had not finished writing it. manager came out and personally asked us to tip. we were taken aback, and proceeded to leave the restaurant and the manager followed us. he made a scene outside and started yelling at us telling us we have to pay for service, quite frankly forcing it out of us. politely, i kept trying to end the conversation and get to my car but he would not let it go. i ended up just walking away quickly.

I would give 0 stars if I could. My mom and I went for dinner. The waiter was so rude and short but, was extremely nice to a white couple next to us. Our food came out and was burnt. When we tried to explain that it was burnt. One of the waiters argued back and forth about it and even raised his voice. He proceeded to tell us(with an attitude) that it s not burnt! there s nothing wrong with our food this place has a terrible vibe. We just left because, we felt so uncomfortable and disgusted by the service. I would not recommend.

Very fresh food-- the egg rolls were homemade and the ingredients were fresh-- the kids didnt love it because they are used to the cheap frozen stuff but I appreciate the homemade fresh ingredients. It was very authentic but unlike many other authentic restaurants, it is clean, cute and modern. The price may seem higher than the typical Chinese food but the portions and quality were totally worth it. The servers and nice and friendly just a little overwhelmed. I will go back! The Experience at The Dumpling House Arrival at The Dumpling House occurred at 8:28. The server promptly took our drink order at 8:33, followed by the food order at 8:46. However, the food delivery process left much to be desired: a partial food order arrived at 9:00, and another partial order made its way to our table at 9:23. Interestingly, another guest arrived after us and was promptly seated. To our dismay, two tables that had been seated before us received their food almost immediately after being seated. Even more puzzling, the neighboring table, which ordered the exact same items as us, received their order ahead of ours. A noteworthy observation is that they served all the rice at once, presumably for the initial dish. This led us to believe it was intended for the first course. To our surprise, when the second dish was brought out, it was accompanied by no rice. Adding to our disappointment, the vegetables served were notably cold. Compounding these issues, we found a green plastic object on one piece of chicken. Fortunately, I noticed it before my toddler could lay hands on it, as we had ordered the food to share among the table family-style. Regrettably, the wait staffs attentiveness was lacking, with a marked contrast in how promptly they attended to other tables. A telling incident occurred when I requested water from our waiter, and I watched with astonishment as his gaze swept over the table. He then repeated the request, seemingly directed at the glasses belonging to the other guests at our table. Notably, my glass contained sprite instead of water. The total bill amounted to $50, and despite the service shortcomings, I left a $5 tip, a generosity that was arguably unwarranted. The context is important, as we had just departed from the casino with intentions of spreading luck and cheer by leaving two $100 bills. Unfortunately, this plan was no longer appealing given the disappointing experience at The Dumpling House. In light of these multiple issues, we have unequivocally decided that we will not be patronizing this establishment in the future.

We thought the flat noodles would be out shortly after. We started eating the food we had. 15 minutes passed, and still, we hadnt received our other dish. After 30 minutes, we tracked down our waiter. He told us the head cook went on break, and they were backed up with to go orders. After 45 minutes of waiting for our final plate, we asked for our bill minus the flat noodles. The food was okay, but had better.

Really excellent Chinese food in North Dallas. I think many of the dishes have Szechuan influences but you can easily find non-spicy options here. Coming from Chicago and Houston, this easily rivals the quality of Chinese food you would find there. Dumplings have the perfect dough consistency, filling is juicy and flavorful, and the portions here in general are generous. We love the green beans with minced pork, and the stir fried flat noodles with beef are also incredible. Something to try is the beef burrito form the appetizer menu - not at all what you would think but so crispy and delicious. I think many people are docking this place on the service, but it s a simple Chinese restaurant with excellent food. What do you expect? Would recommend to anyone visiting Dallas.

The buns and dumplings are outstanding, but the typical Chinese American main dishes are fresh and tasty as well. Veggies are crisp and not overcooked with a good amount of meat in the dishes as well.

The food was excellent. I tried Orange Chicken, Fried Chicken Mushroom dumplings, Fried shrimp and pork dumplings, side of fried rice. My wife had the soup dumplings. The food was brought to our table fast. Just note, we were a family along with another family as well. The only thing negative I have to say is that we arrived about 1 hour ( maybe 45 min) before they closed and the host wanted to make sure we knew they closed at 9:30 PM. During our time eating, you had the sense they were not happy as they were very loud in cleaning up other dishes and turned off the music and some lights. We as a group understood the need to move fast and we expected to leave as fast as possible to respect the closing time. However, the atmosphere and the gestures made during the process was probably uncalled for. I understand also, the restaurant staff would like to go home, so I consider this in my review. I (we) will return and expect to have different and better experience but that is where I am at at this moment. and excited to go back but not near closing time. LOL

I m pretty positive they did this on purpose!!! The older lady was very arrogant and mean when she saw that i didn t give a tip!!!! How do you expect a gratuity when you gave us nothing but awful service! I do undrestand they wanted to close but this type of service was absolutely unnecessary!!! Today, I decided to try it again for lunch, it appears the food have not improved at all. Soup dumplings, the Xiao in the Xiao long Bao,, means small, but it was very large, so over steamed, there were no pocket of juice, it was totally flat and all the juice were out and when try to them pick up, the skin separates from the meat. One can buy frozen ones and get better results. Cucumber salad has a weird flavor.Beef burrito was so greasy. Tofu vegetable soup was tasteless. Nothing good about this place.

The pork shrimp dumpling was also delicious, and more than half of it was eaten by my 3-year-old daughter (lol) Bamboo shoots pork also has a gentle taste and is delicious. So far, I thought the seasoning was quite suitable for Japanese people. My husband, who loves spicy food, ordered Hot sour soup. Yeah, its painful. House signature bun is bland. It came with a sauce like vinegar and soy sauce for buns or dumplings, so dipping it in that was much more delicious than not eating it. But I definitely like dumpling better.
