Hutchins BBQ in Frisco, Texas, is highly rated for its exceptional barbecue, with standout items like brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, and pulled pork. The restaurant provides many proteins for everyone which includes complimentary desserts like peach cobbler and banana pudding. Despite being located in a strip mall area, the quality of the food, especially the brisket, is considered among the top 5 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The service is friendly, and the overall experience is worth the wait, which can be up to an hour on busy weekends. The beef ribs are a must try, perfectly smoked with a well seasoned crust.

Hutchins BBQ in Plano, Texas, offers a vibrant taste of authentic Texas barbecue that s hard to resist. The ribs were the highlight of my meal perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, they practically fell off the bone, bursting with flavor from the seasoning. The selection of sides was also impressive, with options like creamy coleslaw and tangy potato salad that complemented the main dishes beautifully. However, I found the dry brisket to be a bit of a letdown. While it had a nice smoky flavor, it lacked the moisture I was hoping for. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, thanks to the welcoming Texas ambiance that makes you feel right at home. With friendly service and a laid-back atmosphere, Hutchins BBQ is definitely worth a visit for barbecue lovers, especially for those delectable ribs!

Great food, excellent service and friendly staff. This was my 3rd time at Hutchins, and as always, it was great. If you like jalapeños, definitely try the Texas Twinkies...everything was awesome! I appreciate your friendly staff from the moment you walk up to start your order through wrapping up your meal. Your team that is the first to greet customers (meat servers) make the best first impression. I dont live in Texas (GA girl), but this is one of my go-to places when visiting. Vegetarian options: Lots of options! Parking: We went early to the Frisco location and parking was good.

Weve been to Hutchins EVERY Saturday night for months. Tonight was a major disappointment. The pulled pork sandwich and the smoked turkey sandwich both contained too much fat. The turkey sandwich included some extraneous skin not attached to anything. Some of the turkey was unsightly and inedible. The bag did not contain the usual two servings of BBQ sauce. Try harder next time!

been wanting to try this place for a while finally came with my woman and we both were amazed. first off we were greeted with amazing smell of bbq in the parking lot , came to the front and was offered amazing slice of jalapeno and cheese sausage , it was hands down the best sausage i ve had .. walked into a little line waited about 5-7 minutes definitely fine with me bc i knew nothing when ordering and took a little longer.. but chris was the best help on the line and took away the nervous i had in the beginning , treated me like a brotha and helped me with ordering .. we ordered half a chicken which was perfect seasoned, cooked and juicy. we also ordered 2 whole sausage links both original and spicy both amazing we also got one beef rib with cooked amazing super super tender fall off the bone tender, we also ordered brisket really juicy also and finally the brisket filled jalapeno twinkie s, these were just the most amazing things i ve tried. i love jalapeno poppers and these out those to shame, the bacon wrapped around them stayed on the jalapeno was just amazing the cream cheese brisket and bacon all were perfectly portioned.. our sides were mac n cheese mashed potatoes, green beans, fried okra , and coleslaw with pickles and peppers .. the dessert was also one of the best banana pudding, best bbq i ve had definitely will be back when i visit texas again very soon , big thanks to chris for his help good sense of humor and great guy too the cashier was also a great help don t remember her name..

I was a First-Timer: A lovely gentleman bragged about Hutchins at work today-after work I drove right over. When I informed the guy slicing the wet-beef brisket he went a grabbed one out of the oven/smoker. All of the staff members were absolutely wonderful!!! My issue is that on both ends of my thick slices of brisket; the one I ate-it was dry-on both ends. I was disappointed considering how coworkers bragged so much about Hutchins. Employee: Lorne J has such awesome customer service skills, and he was so very kind to me. I was put at ease considering I was dining alone. did chat up a lovely couple-actually two couples. For me the ambience was great and so was the employees I had two slices of wet beef-I could only eat one. I did feel as though I wasted $30 but I had a great experience.

Hutchins BBQ is a BBQ lovers paradise in the DFW metroplex. I can confidently say that it is the best BBQ joint around! The beef rib is an absolute must-try, but make sure you get there early because they sell out fast for a reason - its just that good! The meat is incredibly tender and juicy, it practically melts in your mouth. And dont forget to try the Texas Twinkies - they are a delicious and unique treat. The staff at Hutchins BBQ are not only friendly but also very accommodating, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I had to give this place a second try because I been seeing people online going crazy and thought maybe my first time was just an off day. Well sticking with my opinion that this is not the best Bbq I ve had better for sure! I gave it four stars just off the strength of the service everyone there was so friendly and gave great customer service which is important for me. The Texas Twinkie was pretty good, the chopped beef was just alright. The beef link was good glad they had a beef option. The broccoli salad was by far my favorite thing that I tried and the masked potato s weren t bad at all. I m not a fan of the crust on the peach cobbler at all definitely can live without it. The banana pudding was more pudding than bananas and cookies not your grandmothers recipe for sure. I paid in one meal with I pay for my lunch and dinner all week so it s a little expensive. I won t be in an hurry to go back I ll go if someone would like me to tag along but won t be my first choice to eat.

My husband and I decided to make the drive to try them out and let me tell you, it is worth the drive! The line wasnt too bad, the wait time was about 30 mins. Close to the entrance they were giving out samples of the jalapeño cheese sausage (not sure whats called) but it was good! Once we made it inside its where the fun begins. My husband and I ordered the Family Pack, 1 lb of chopped brisket and 1 lb of pork ribs, 3 sides.. mac n cheese, creamed corn, the broccoli salad and of course a Texas Twinkie! Everyone was so nice! Mr. Wayne stopped to pose for a picture and even walked to our table and let us sample some brisket burnt ends AND a Texas Twinkie! How amazing is he! THANK YOU! The server that was in our dining area was super nice and attentive! I loved everything about it! It is pricey but worth it! We have left overs for lunch tomorrow OH YEAH... they have free dessert if you dine in too! Delicious!

If youre a BBQ lover, this place is definitely worth checking out! I had the beef rib, and it was by far the most tender Ive ever tasted fall-off-the-bone goodness. The Texas Twinkie is as delicious as it looks in the pictures and is massive! Another cool perk is the free dessert options: peach cobbler (which is all crust and absolutely perfect if youre into crust like I am), banana pudding, and soft serve ice cream. The sides are pretty standard for a Texas BBQ spot, nothing that stands out but still solid. I also liked the overall setup of the restaurant. A couple of downsides: its on the pricier side. For two of us, we spent $75, and we only drank water. Also, be prepared to leave smelling like a smokehouse. Would I pass 16 other BBQ joints to get here? Probably not, especially since it s 46 miles from me, but I d still recommend you try it at least once.

The drive from Ft Worth tx to Mckinney tx is a MIGHTY LONG WAY?????, THE food was fine, I cant say that about the customer service part. I pay well over 90 bucks n you will think, that they would check to see if everything was in the bag. N to say I pay well over 90 buckets for my food. If you ur asked did I pay for the Twinkle,? Hands down the best BBQ restaurant in DFW. Everything from the customer service to the food is exceptional. Weve tried the majority of the meats and sides, and have never been disappointed. The jalapeño cheddar sausage, mac and cheese, and fried okra are my favorites. No matter what time of day you come, be prepared to wait in line for about 30 minutes. When you get to the front of the line, youll be greeted at the meat cutting station. Youll order your meats by the pound and Texas Twinkies (smoked jalapeños stuffed with brisket, cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, and coated in BBQ sauce). The sides are all the same price and you serve yourself, so fill the paper boats till your hearts content. At your table, youll have a server assigned to your section that comes around frequently to assist if needed, which feels a bit unnecessary, but is nice when you inevitably need to-go boxes. I highly recommend dining in so that you can enjoy the all-you-can-eat desserts, including banana pudding, peach cobbler, and vanilla ice cream cones. Overall, tens across the board. This place is absolutely worth every bit of hype it receives.

The sides were self serve and I thought that was a bad thing till I realized I could pile it up to overflowing, the okra tastes like a delicious fried cloud.. Yall know I love my okra.. The service was kinda nonexistent but there was a young lady coming to check on us every so often(she found my key and brought them out to the car).. The vibe was definitely good and the staff made me excited about eating there.. The only want I had was a drink, but it s BYOB , that s insane(I ll definitely take a bottle next time, shots on me). Lets start by saying that I agree with the majority of the people who are giving this place one or two stars. What a huge disappointment, to say the least! All of the five-star reviews must be paid for or getting some free food. They have a horrible system to get into the dining room. The line moves far too slowly, and the system in place is very confusing. You have to stand in line for hours before you can get into a smoke-filled, overcrowded, filthy hallway to buy your food by the pound. As a first-timer, you cant tell whats included in your order and whats an additional charge. You get absolutely no help from the staff. The place is dirty, overcrowded, and some of the booths are far too cramped, even for a little kid. I also think that they are way overrated and way overpriced. There are definitely better barbecue establishments in the area. The only positive is that they do use good-quality meats. If you must try it just to say that you have been there, go to a local supermarket, buy your favorite beverage, get in the carryout line, order to go, and eat it in the parking lot. Parking: Its hard to find a parking spot. Wheelchair accessibility: Not enough wheelchair accesible parking spots.

This last one was missing all the bbq sauce and no plates/utensils (I know you have to ask for the plates, and did). I guess I ll have to check that the employees put everything in the bag next time. 1000% lives up to the hype. We were on a trip to Dallas and everyone told us this is the spot. It did not disappoint. The brisket was juicy and delicious with great bark. The ribs were fall off the bone (not my preference but I know most prefer that), and the Texas Twinkie is worth a trip on its own. But let me say - GET THE BEEF RIB. It s probably going to cost you 50 bucks, but it is massive, unique, and simply delicious. Service is also great. People were friendly, helpful, and they let us sample everything before we ordered it. We ended up with way too much food, but it was worth it. I would drive to Dallas just to visit again. Btw, I d heard horror stories about the line in the Texas heat. We came around 3 pm on a Friday and walked right in.

Yeah, its as good as everyone says. From the food to the service. As you are in line to go into the restaurant a worker was there to tell you how ordering worked when you got in, to tell you about the food, and offered us samples as well. He told my wife we would be able to share a rib for lunch. I was skeptical. But, man, the rib was huge and fantastic in flavor. You order everything by the pound, except the ribs. We ordered sausage and sliced brisket, and a texas twinkie. The sliced brisket was my least favorite but still way above average. Go ahead and wait in line and enjoy the best bbq you have had. Price wise, the ribs are by far the most pricey but also the best menu item there is. A very casual atmosphere as well. Try to get there early, because a crowd is gonna be thete.

Man this place was great. You HAVE to get a texas twinkie, they arent spicy at all just as an fyi. I had 1lb of burnt ends(that was too much) and the brisket baked beans. my cousin got the sliced brisket, baked beans, and potato salad. Everything tasted amazing except for the baked beans. Honestly they were some of the worst ive ever had. Pretty tasteless unless you got some brisket. The potato salad was really good. They also have free banana pudding, ice cream, and peach cobbler for dine in. I had the banana pudding and it was pretty solid.

Hands down the best BBQ I have ever had. Line wasn t huge when we arrived but when we left it was at least 30 deep. They gave you samples while you waited in line which was a nice touch. The way you order is unique to say the least so be ready to ask lots of questions. The staff was super friendly, helpful and offered samples of anything before you put it on your tray. You pay for the meats by the pound and the sides are per boat no matter what you put in them. They reminded us multiple times to load them up. As we were at the register the cashier even told us to go back because we could fit more:). The seating is open with larger tables but we easily found room. The seating area had a self help station for peach cobbler and I think banana bread pudding which were both fantastic. And to top it off they had self serve soft ice cream. Everything from the food, staff and atmosphere were fantastic.

Hutchins BBQ was a recommendation that Ive received from a few people. Made the trip up after an event in Allen, Texas. Was definitely worth it. However, my one complaint is we came too late and received a brisket that was a little dried out. The bark on the brisket was delicious and had a good flavor. It was just a little too dry for my liking. They did not have ribs at the time so I cannot give them a full judgment on everything. However, I was told about the jalapeno cheddar sausage and ordered more than enough for me and my party and let me tell you its worth it. The flavors of the jalapeno and cheddar give it a little zing that youre looking for, but not too bad to where you can enjoy the sausage. Their bread is very good too. You can tell its fresh and baked in the store. Also got the banana pudding which was good. Kind of had a fluff to it which was a unique twist on it. I like the nilla wafers on it as it added. A different texture to that fluff. If Im ever in the area again I will definitely make the trip back up to McKinney and visit Hutchins earlier in the day to get that brisket again and try some ribs. The staff was awesome and was very welcoming and accommodating with us coming in a little late , they offered to help us pack everything up so we could bring it back to our Airbnb to enjoy at a later time. The ambiance of the location you can tell there there is history here. They have great signs up inside in neon lights as well. The smokers are huge and have a wonderful aroma. Coming off of them from the previous days cook. Definitely would recommend Hutchins. Just make sure you get there early enough to get everything fresh as it is the best time. Probably to get everything. They will not lose a star for me just because of that issue with the brisket on the food it will lose a star but overall you guys knocked it out of the park.
