Lisa @ JCP-Baybrook was amazing, kind, understanding, patient and made our 2 separate bookings worth a return. In fact I have brought others to experience JCP Portraits. Personally Ive been a member for maybe 20yrs & each visit minus 2 (not @ Baybrook location) that I can remember were pleasant & the proof is in the pics. Times are understandably limited (to give each client the attention); Lisa was so accommodating, our party was REALLY happy, as I knew they would be; hence my long-time membership. Get the membership, so wise & worth it. Studio is near entrance so its totally convenient; Park & Pic kinda thing. Honestly wished JCP also had freelance photography (for outside events). #80bdaypics

Dont walk RUN to schedule your awkward family photos with Talesa or Anthony! I watched everyone who sat for Anthony come out smiling and laughing. Our session was with Talesa and let me tell you she did such a great job with us. First and foremost our pictures were perfect, but the memories we made during this session was worth every penny! We were rolling from the hilarious way she posed us, and just her energy in general was amazing. I will be back to this specific location even though I live In downtown Houston. I feel like they are people I can trust to capture a good pic and also go there for a fun family adventure. Thank you Talesa for the amazing job you did with us yesterday!

My best friend and I did an awkward photo shoot for fun. Mallory was great, she had some poses saved on her phone for suggestions, and she totally understood the assignment. She was also very personable. The photographer, I dont recall his name, needs to pay more attention to detail though. I feel like a lot of our pics couldve been better had he taken a few more shots of each pose, or helped us out with positioning. We cant see ourselves, so assistance is needed and appreciated. Also, $160 for a digital only package is a bit outrageous.

WARNING: Do not go to JCPenney Portraits in Friendswood, TX. We are amazed at the HORRIBLE treatment my husband, my 9 month old daughter and I received today. So disappointed. There couldn t possibly be a worse portrait studio in the entire state of Texas. Go anywhere else. We decided to leave without the pictures. I wish there is a zero star option here for them. They don t deserve even one star. The dark short hair lady (Tracy) were rude and did NOT treat our baby girl well. She were screaming pick a boo very angrily and loud and scared my daughter until she cried. She was rude on the telephone before we got there as well. There were no other clients inside the store, even though this lady was incredibly stressed and in a very bad mood, apparently. We had a terrible experience and the only thing we wanted to do was to register our daughter s 9 month. The lady put the ugliest board I ever seen written 9 months by her hand in it, and when we told her we didn t want that board covering our daughter, she refused to take the pictures the way we wanted and took the pictures with the ugly board. She was incredibly rude. She also missed the only time my baby smile, my baby was terrified of her. Some other bad things happened there but I don t want to write pages of it in here. Just sharing an incredibly bad experience.

Had used this location before for family photos so we returned. Will not use them ever again. They were reluctant to photograph our family because we have 5 children...willing to roll my eyes at that. They rescheduled us from our original appointment to a new one, okay... They then moved our time from 11:30 to noon in order to give more time between sessions. We arrived 15 minutes early and I checked to see how they were doing and they were still servicing a different client. THEY MOVED OUR APPOINTMENT SO THEY COULD GIVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE! They they went well past our appointment time with the other client. I tried checking in and the two girls working refused to honor our appointment because it was too far past our appointment time. THEY WERE THE ONES LATE AND THEY TRIED BLAMING US! Hungry and now not happy we left to grab food and work on trying to reschedule for the same day since everyone was dressed up with hair done and we were looking forward to sending holiday prints. Fortunately we fit in a 4 pm slot, but by then the kids were stressed and did their best. WILL NOT RETURN TO ANY JCP PORTRAITS FOR ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!

Rude staff first time I went the guy taking my baby s photos didn t even make him laugh or anything ! And we had to come up with our poses second time I went they didn t even call me to let me know my photos had arrived and they even told me they don t call to notify how am I supposed to know when they are ready

--Find a different portrait studio or photographer for your photos!!-- If I could give 0 stars, I would. Showed up early for an appointment. Had to wait about a half hour after my appointment time just to get started. Whole store was beyond freezing which doesnt help when youre trying to photograph a newborn. No props for pictures. Pictures came out terrible. (One of them has my babys pacifier in front of her face, fuzz in front of another, and my other daughters face in the background of another.) Then when I went to purchase them, I was told they had gotten rid of them even though I was told there wasnt a time limit to pick them up. So I had to jump through all sorts of hoops with their corporate team for them to find them. On top of that, the manager at this particular store is incredibly rude. Talking bad about her employee and then laughing at me because I took too long to order them. All around a horrible experience, from beginning to end!
