Wonderfully cozy place to spend an anniversary dinner with someone special. The atmosphere is calm and relatively intimate. The furniture is comfy. The entire restaurant is clean including the bathroom. The staff was awesome, friendly, smiling and patient. The foods were spectacular. We got to enjoy a spot of live music by a band called Motown. Wonderful Italian pastas, salads, and amazingly fresh tasting pizza. We had spinich salad with strawberries and candied pecans, pasta Primavera with Aurora sauce (mix of marinara and alfredo), and Margherita pizza. We ate every bite but wish we had saved space for dessert.

If youre thinking of eating here, do yourself a huge favor and EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. The owner or manager (not sure which he was) YELLED AT US ON MY BIRTHDAY! This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Not only was the food terrible, but when my husband and I didnt eat the food, then the poor waitress came over and tried to make it right by letting her boss know. TO BE CLEAR we never once asked for them to take our food off the bill. We just made peace with the fact that it was not edible and were going to politely pay the check, leave and not return again, like normal people do when they dont like a restaurants food. But instead, this genius decided the best way to handle unsatisfied customers who didnt like their food was to come over and conduct a HOSTILE INTERROGATION about why we didnt like it and then proceeded to tell us that we should have said something earlier so they could replace our entrees with something else... but the first thing we ordered was so bad! SO WHY WOULD WE WANT TO TRY ANOTHER DISH??? We told the old man with white hair and glasses that we didnt need him to take our food off the bill but after that, we just tipped the waitress and left. He did not even have her present us with a bill, which is fine. Whatever. Wed have much preferred to just pay for it and quietly leave and for him NOT TO MAKE A SCENE (which he did) while we were trying to CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY. The waitress, however, was very sweet. We gave her a nice tip and told her its not her fault that the food is bad. Im not looking for anything further from the restaurant, you dont need to contact me. I just want you to know this is not good business practice. When someone says they dont like your food, just apologize and ask how you can make it right? You saw we didnt eat it so its not like we were making a false claim and trying to get it for free. Maybe instead of getting mad when people dont like your food, you should try - and hear me out - serving better food.

My cousin & I had lunch today, Feb. 25th, at Birraporettis in Friendswood for the first time. On Sundays, they have a deliciously outstanding large buffet from 10:30 am-3:00 pm for $2 that is not listed on their web site. On the buffet, many Italian entrees, vegetables, pastas, pizza, ceasar & greek salads, breads, scramble eggs with vegetables, all fixings for omelets, waffels, fresh fruits, desserts including cannolis, coffee, teas, soft drinks...and you can have as many of the beverages you may want in all groups at no extra charge. To say you get your moneys worth is an understatement!!!! Service & staff friendly & obliging in all aspects. The restaurant itself is very nice inside, comfortable, spacious & very clean. Definitely will be returning & definitely will tell other people to go there as well.

Food was delicious, and our waitress Rhonda was awesome. She is very knowledgeable about the menu. She also told us that they have a buffet every Sunday 1030 to 3pm. $22 a person! They have live music for the party crowd on Saturdays! -The calamari was lightly breaded and fresh.. I had the Marco Polo, it was sweet and spicy with linguini pasta. Masterfully done. Huge Thank You for being open on Christmas. My family and I had one of our best Christmas dinners. I usually cook most of the holiday meals, but this year I have to be up super early to go to work as a nurse in the morning. We were in Friendswood for a soccer tournament and stopped at Birra Poretti s to escape the rain and are so thankful we did! Alaina, our server, was an absolute delight. She was friendly, kind, attentive, had phenomenal recommendations, and truly went above and beyond. There was a large party; however, our food still came out in a timely manner and was well received by our entire party. My son said this was the best dinner ever! We are so happy to have found this gem and will be back to visit.

Been here many times. The food is ok, not great. The service is the absolute worst. Consistently. Every time. The host clearly is related to someone. She is rude, has zero people skills, unwelcoming, unprofessionally dressed, and Im not sure she knows what a smile is. Positive she didnt get the job because of her stellar personality. Our most recent visit is our last. Had a reservation, were seated quickly and then promptly ignored for well over 20 min. When we were finally noticed we ordered everything at once and then waited more. Got the appetizer and salads and then ignored more. The booth in front of us came in as we were waiting for our entrees, were seated, immediately attended to, AND got their food while we still waited- and ultimately gave up. We were there over an hour. The bartender who waited on us didnt care, the manager didnt care, and the horrible host didnt care. No apologies at all. As my husband paid I watched the bartender take our probably cold food out of the window and dispose of it. Upon leaving and complaining to the host, we were informed we were at a bar booth. A long line of booths and the very last one is a bar booth? Who would know that? We didnt request it. Plus the bar area, far removed from us, was packed. It also doesnt excuse horrible service. This place has no idea what proper customer care is. I have been a general manager in the food service industry for over 30 years. I fully understand the ins and outs of this industry. I work to keep my husband patient and to be understanding when restaurants are in the weeds, but when it is this bad I draw the line. For them to be mad at us because they cant handle their business is ludicrous. Absolute worst customer experience ever. No apologies. We were treated like it was our fault. My advice? Steer clear. Not worth the time, money or effort. You can get the same level of service (probably better) at a fast food drive thru. As for the host, if she is being paid, she needs to be replaced. She is the first and last impression of your business. Trust me, thats not the impression you want your guests leaving with.

Birraporettis was one of my favorite restaurants back in the early 80s. We frequented the location on West Gray back in the day. My favorite dish at the time was there veal with fettuccine Alfredo. It was a huge disappointment in Friendswood; our 1st visit here. My wife however got the fettuccine Alfredo and chicken Parmesan. She gives it a five. I found the dinner salad to be skimpy and not a good presentation. We may come back, but Ill try something different next time.

First time at this restaurant & it happened to be for Mother s Day brunch. Service was a disappointment, no waitress ever came to our table until we had to ask for one. I asked Luke, (a waiter) & he said no one wanted to give him an answer so he became our waiter & a good one! Very deserving of his tip!. The buffet line was very long & food trays were empty & not being replenished. Our mimosa carafe had a piece of broken glass that poured into our last glass & all manager could say was sorry . Any other good restaurant would have at least given you a discount. Luckily it wasn t swallowed or they would be having a big lawsuit on their hands! Needless to say I will never return or recommend!

This evening, Birraporettis was hosting a band, Pee Wee Bowen Band. This band is well known and has a large following. The band performs a varied song selection. There is a lot of dancing near the band and in the aisles. Birraporettis is well equipped to handle the crowd and the dancing patrons in the aisles. Parking: Birraporettis is located at the end of a strip center. When this band plays, parking can be difficult to find close to the restaurant.

We went to Birraporettis to listen to a band a friend of ours plays in, Shades of Gray. The band was awesome, & plays there once a month. If you like oldies, check them out!!! We also ordered something to eat & drink, & it was also very good!!! We made reservations, & we were seated as soon as we walked in the door. Our server was very pleasant, & he took very good care of us!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, & we plan to return to listen to Shades of Gray, & to enjoy the food & drinks!!! Sometimes they feature a live performer. our group is fond of an Elvis impersonator by the name of Vince King and he performs a really nice show. I had not visited a Birraporettis since I had been to the location in downtown Houston, in the 90s! Due to my work schedule and my girlfriends schedule, we often meet late in the evening and part of the aftermath of Covid is restaurants close earlier than they used to. I found the BP in Friendswood by accident and I truly didnt know there were any locations still open. So my girlfriend and I were looking for a place to dine around 8:30 at night on a weekday and we didnt like any of our options. Using Google, saw the BP (that I found by accident earlier that day) was open until 10p. We decided to take a chance and we were not disappointed. My GF had a seafood sampler and I had eggplant parmesan and the food was great, service was fast and friendly and now my GF and I have a new late night option for dinner.

This restaurant was absolutely amazing- it was wonderful even down to the tiny little details of music choice and decor. The food was delicious, it came out quickly, the environment was very welcoming, and our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. We all discussed how surprisingly nice our dining experience was tonight. We are so glad we gave this restaurant a try, and I sincerely would recommend that you give it a try, too.

1st time here at this location. Tried their Sunday brunch. We will definitely be back...endless bellini and mimosas. A buffet brunch...beginning with salads then on to fried fish, ravioli, chicken marsala, spinach fettucini with shrimp, eggs Benedict, chicken parm, lasagna, omelette station, fresh fruit and desserts...a LOT of food for $18.95++, very reasonably priced. Service was spot on with a nice atmosphere. Sorry, no photos.

Very good experience with the Special pizza and music by a group called Mana. Really great service by a busy and admittedly slow waiter. We appreciate that youre busy and checking in on a customer that hasnt given drink orders is good form! Thanks. The pizza was outstanding as usual as was the music from the 80s by an extremely talented group.

Horrible service. Waiting at host stand for 10+ minutes every time I come in here. Zero front of house employees. Poorly staffed and clearly poor management as well. For such a high dollar establishment with so much spent on decorations and furnishings you would think they could afford a host/hostess. Wait times for food are as bad as wait times to be seated. If not worse. Waiting 30m+ for a simple order and heaven forbid you order a pizza. The quality of the food is irrelevant when the service is this shoddy.

This was our first time here, and we would definitely go back for a special meal. Our server was extremely helpful in recommending dishes and explaining flavor combinations and options for sauces and sides. I got the chicken almond something rather, and my husband got the pork chops. Both dishes were very well seasoned and cooked just right. It cost a bit more than we would normally spend when we go out (we hardly ever eat out). About $72 for the 2 of us including tip, no appetizers, alcohol, or dessert.

My first time dining at Birraporettis wont be the last. I ordered the lasagne dinner with a salad and key lime pie. One of their waiters was ill and everyone was hustling, but without complaint. Two even stopped briefly to chat. Service was very good and the lasagne and key lime were great. I have Italian relatives and recall fantastic home cooked meals decades ago in Niagara, NY. This meal was as good as those. I look forward to sampling more of the menu and having more great service! Second visit included a side salad, very good fried calamari rings, and very, very good pizza. The pizza was not loaded with ingredients, but that allowed the pepperoni, the sauce and the excellent crust to shine. I would order it any time and service was very cordial again.
