I usually would have posted a good review for here, but not today. And if I could have NOT left a star, I wouldnt have. We walked in, sat down & waited at least 5-10 minutes to see if a waitress would come over. She looked our way at least 5 times, then just stood there talking to the bartender & customers at the bar, instead of checking on the ones wanting food. Very disappointed in the staff. Ive definitely had better service here in the past. Get it together.

My husband and I stopped here by chance today and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised with how great the food was. Shannon and all the customers who came in while we were there were pleasant and made us laugh. We highly recommend their burgers.

We came in on a whim a couple months ago after passing by for years. We came in had a few beers and had a burger and fries. Let me tell you these burgers are the best in West Fort Worth!! Whoever is back there making the burgers need a raise!! And every waitress / bartender we have encountered coming in has been fantastic!! Will continue to come in as often as possible

Went in here looking for the crawfish next door! We ended up getting queso and chips while we waited and I had a really great burger and some of the best beans I ve had in my life! We will definitely be back and the sever was so super friendly and attentive.

Some of the best food can be found off the beaten path. This is a lil hole in the wall that reminds of the places on that Diners, Drive-in, and Dives TV show. Its not much too look at but the food is awesome! I ordered a BLT and my husband had a cheeseburger. It was way more food for what we paid. The server was great! They also have a guy there selling REAL boil seafood (not the usual Texas fakes). I have been 2 times so far and whenever I am in West Ft. Worth I will stop in! I would add a photo, but it smelled so good, its all gone.

This place was pretty good. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. They were both great and filling. It is a bar as well the beer was cold and they also had live entertainment. My only critique would be that they were out of a few beers but that may be a supply chain issue due to COVID.

Boy oh boy, how this place has changed.... Someone got greedy when it came to the food . The menu has changed, the quality of food has changed. The burgers used to be amazing, I havent had much better than the John Wayne burger. That is now gone, they have McDonalds style patties now. The burger and few fries (which now you have to buy separate) were okay. You can go to McDonalds and get a bigger pattie and more than a few fries for half the price. I gave it two stars because the beer was cold. Its really hard to mess up a beer on draft though.

I wasnt aware that Chubbys is also a bar, so my review focuses solely on the food. I was impressed with The Bob sandwich! It is one of those menu items that sounds too interesting too pass up. A thick slice of bologna topped with bacon and Texas toast. It was yummy! I also appreciate the staffs demeanor towards two non-regulars who were not there to grab a drink.

Had a good time at chubbys. This place is awesome. The food was great and the owner is hands down the best owner of a company that I have ever meet. Good bartenders and great customer service. The food was great! But the cocktail drinks I had were nasty. Took one drink of each drink and hated every single one I tasted. Couldn t get a refund for the drinks I didn t drink. The large fries are really some small fries but they taste good. It was really the simple facts the drinks are way too high and they are nasty.

Really enjoyed the burgers here. The patty s were flavorful without being too salty and the cornbread sticks (basically hush puppies) were a nice surprise. The single patty was perfect for lunch to not be overly full, but I d probably get a double for dinner. Comfortable atmosphere and definitely the kind of place to meet up with or run into friends.

I LOVE hanging out at Chubbys! The staff is always nice & welcoming. Very laidback chill atmosphere. The staff seems like they are a family. The food is also great!! Never had anything I didnt like. Ive been to Chubbys Burger Shack twice before and was unimpressed. Im never above giving a place a second chance, or even a third. Maybe this means that the third time is the charm? I walk in and theres NFL on the scteens and a few patrons at the bar. Clearly this place has regulars and they are dedicated. It makes believe that there, at least, used to be something special about this place. When I enter, I ask about ordering to-go. I am directed to the other bar (theres two bars in this place, apparently, one for food and the other for, well, what bars are for.) Theyve recently completely redone the menu, it looks like, so Im optimistic. I order the Double Cheeseburger with Bacon and Pepperjack. I also ordered a Dr. Pepper and a side of onion rings. First off, the kind lady behind the counter tells me that she would like me to try the Dr. Pepper before she commits to selling it to me because they had to get a generic brand. Now, Im not too picky, nor am I a stranger to restaurants. Sometimes what you get, as a restaurant, is what you get. No two ways about it. I try the flavor they were given and its awful. I choose to go with Coca Cola instead. Then, the cook comes and tells me that they dont have onion rings. This is the second time i have been denied onion rings at this restaurant out of the twice that ive ordered them. Im disappointed, though unsurprised, and switch to the tots. To the restaurants credit, they decide not to charge me for the tots at all for the inconvenience. Fair play. I finally get to leave with my food and head to my mothers house. The unboxing is beautiful. If I were grading solely on what the food looked like in the box, this restaurant would get a great rating, but I dont buy food to look at it. The tots were not good. When I was ordering my food, the server didnt specify anything as being particularly good. I usually use the suggestions by the staff to hone in on any particular favorites of the people who eat there regularly, so having no suggestions does not bode well. These tots were obviously bought frozen and were fried in oil which was too hot. This perplexes me because the fries from this restaurant are actually quite good. Lets get to the meat of the situation. The burger patties were well scalded and juicy. They were also not seasoned well at all. This was about as disappointing as the bun which was soggy all around the bottom. The pickles werent crisp at all, and teh rest of the garden failed to move me. Its as if this sandwich was designed to ruin any favor it grants itself. It started off well and dropped dramatically afterwards, creating an overall mundane experience. If I had to offer any advice to this restaurant, it would be to stop fiddling with the menu and start working on the flavor. Replace the buns with something that holds up against the juice of the patty and then start seasoning the beef. Set two deep fryers for different temperatures and use one for your fries where its currently at and then use the other for your food with longer cook times. Overall, this restaurant has great service, mediocre food, and poor management. I would have to give them a harsh 3/5. Service is alright. On two occasions I had to track down a waitress to take my families orders. Not so welcoming feeling. Once a waitress has your attention, then your golden. Food is alright. Shrimp was ok. Over cooked to be honest but seasoning was good. My son loves crawfish and usually tears them up. Here he didnt. Im allergic so I cant taste too see why he didnt care for theres. Other food is typical bar or dive food. Nothing special. Margaritas were not all that great. Atmosphere was nice. Not a place Id keep going back to.

Went to chubbys burgers on 8/29/20,just want so say one thing,whatabuger would have been much better,the burgers there were paper thin,I loved the old chubbys I dont know what happen maybe new management or some thing,not the same and we went on a Saturday they only had one waitress with a full house,we got there and i notice that friends of the bar maid came in and they got attended and their food before us and we had been there for 30 mins thats just wrong ,was very disappointed

This place was great, the tots and burger were phenomenal! The service was quick and friendly, the social distancing rules were well in effect. We got seated and ordered right away and the food came pretty quick. There were several people at the bar, but at one point, maybe due to someone changing their order? we got two full free beers brought to the table rather than waste the pore. Super friendly, and good food, really had a great time there.

Great burgers. Awful, awful, awful service. Every time I come here I regret it. I am currently here, Ive been here for an hour. It took 5 minutes to be noticed, 15 minutes to get me a drink, 15 minutes to get freaking chips and queso, and Im still waiting on my food.... an hour after walk in. Terrible service ! I walked in sat at a table for 10 mins and nobody even looked at us ! After sitting for those ten min I walked up to the bar and asked if I could get a to go order and she looked at me like I shouldn t be there. She then said one moment. I stood there another 5 min obviously frustrated at this point but kept my cool. She came back around noticed I was looking at her eagerly waiting and she again said one moment but this time rudely. Definitely a little disappointed in the value. Could have been 4 stars and I almost gave them 2. Chubbys makes a fantastic burger. No two ways about that. Never really heard anyone complain about the food. Last night a few friends decided to go. Although we were rolling about 1 deep, the service was great. The burger comes with fries. Fries list at $2.25 separately and the tots at $4.00. The waitress told me it would cost an extra $2.25 to substitute tots for fries. The portion of tots I received was quite small. Barely a single layer in the portion of basket not occupied by the substantial burger and decidedly less potatoes than those who had fries. In my mind, I paid $4.50 (price of fries plus the price of the upgrade) for $4.00 tots and didnt get $2.00 worth. Dont know for certain, but my experience is that smaller, privately held eateries often do not recognize the importance of or give adequate attention to portion control. This always results in a lack of consistency. These are my suspicions. Likely I will eat here again. Although it may be a while before that happens. Too bad because theyre just a few blocks from the house and sooooo much better than the Jack and the Whata that are right across the street.

Amazing every single time. Need to bring back the old fries though. If you havent been ,STOP wandering and head in you will love it.

Came in with a big party a while back. The waitress stayed very positive and did a great job handling us even the difficult members. Food was great and everyone left happy

I had never been here before. I stopped in out of curiosity. I ordered to go food. Which did not only have great service, but also, no real wait time. Quality of what goes into a smash Burger is key. I had the Bleu hog Burger. The bacon and cheese amount was spot on. The bacon wasnt overdone and it was plentiful.
