This is a very unique event space with an entire upstairs area you can turn into a VIP area. I like that theres indoor and outdoor spaces on the first floor and its just a great flow to a party. The bar outside keeps people happy and the 2nd one inside is always accommodating too. I would host an event here easily. The only issue is parking...

First ever silent disco & it was so much fun!!! Decided to do the VIP experience and I do not regret it at all. We did not try any of the food but the open bar did not go easy on the liquor and the view from up top was fantastic. Great DJs!

I love the quiet events silent disco here! Yall should aim to do it outside as often as possible, its just not the same inside. Its still fun inside, but outside is amazing and then people can still dance inside if they want. Or open uo the rooftop or back room. Its just a little cramped sometimes for the disco but even still 5/5 we love it. Excited to see more silent discos coming in the spring!

This is the best menu in downtown Austin by far with the hardest-working staff that Ive met who have held strong here now longer than most other businesses have been able to stay open for. This is also one of the few venues left on 6th Street that can hold up to 500 people between the VIP room the bar upstairs patio, and sofa areas. Did I mention they have nice cushion sofas! Bartenders here know how to serve just about every single kind of rank and even serve me up my favorite non-alcoholic beverage made of different fruit juices! Also thankfully they have water thats been verified served in the glass container at each corner of the bar Getting parking here is thankfully easier to most places to downtown you could just park at either of the parking garages nearby and literally walk over. They do their best to keep the restrooms clean here and keep up with all the people that come in and out of this venue which on some nights goes well into the night. They also play healthy mix of music. :) Sound system and they have people who know how the management do know how to operate the sound equipment which is a huge Plus I cannot say enough how hard it is to find a bar with people always on staff who know how to operate the sound equipment! Every week theres something going on at this place especially as it continues to grow in popularity. And thankfully just west enough on 6th Street to keep it accessible for folks like me who like to avoid 6th st going east past congress.

I went for internet marketing party a few months in a row now. The place has a simple setup that s great for events and socializing. The outdoor space next to a big stage, extra seating on top, and an indoor bar as well for when you overheat in the texas sun. It s a great venue for networking events for sure

Definitely wish I could give this establishment less than 1 star. While the event attended was a good experience, the fact they basically forced everyone (100+) out the venue at close time was completely unacceptable. The private event was scheduled to end at 6pm. There was no warning to give the attendees an idea of when they needed to have last call. We literally ordered a drink 5 minutes before closing time. At 6pm they literally had 6people within a matter of 3 minutes to tell us to leave. Please keep mind we had FULL drinks. The way the owner put his finger in my friends cup to snatch her drink out her hand was completely unacceptable. dear BLACK people, STAY OUT OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

We had my wifes 50th bday party here and it went off perfectly. We ended up using both inside and outside areas since we had a band play and it could not have been better. The inside bar area looks great and all the bar staff were pros. Seeing a band outside at the Belmont is fantastic. The professional lighting and sound provided by the facility were excellent. I am running out of superlatives... Shelby was my main contact and we probably had 50 emails back and forth from initially setting up an appointment to tour the venue and then all the emails for the details. I had never hosted anything this big and she was a huge help making sure the party went off without a hitch. I really appreciated all of her efforts getting the details ironed out and asking questions I wouldnt have even thought of. Ham is the manager and while my contact with him was really just the day before and day of, he was great. He even helped create what turned out to be my favorite cocktail of the night. While we wont be hosting another big party anytime soon, I would definitely come back to the Belmont. The price was great considering the quality and size of the facilities and the extra touches made for an unforgettable night for my wife and our guests.

No! I drove over 4 hours to see a band that never comes to Texas and the venue let me down. The indoor stage is a joke. The ceiling is an aluminum grid drop panel type and it buzzed so loud and destroyed the sound quality. The vocals went out during the first song, and the sound guy flipped a few switches and walked away for over 5 minutes. Everyone thought he quit. He shows back up and shrugs and announces, I tried everything. They were working during sound check. They need a real sound engineer.

I was in town for a Widespread Panic concert that got cancelled. We stuck around to show Austin some love. The Belmont had a PHISH cover band one night we begrudgingly went to. Drinks were priced a dollar or 2 high. Barstaff became overwhelmed and we all spent most of the night in the drink line.

We were here for a late night burlesque/pole dance event. Other than a late start forcing us to line up in the chill (but not cold), this seems like an excellent venue. A nice courtyard, lounge area, and VERY generous pours at the inside bar led to a very enjoyable evening. Looking around, the upstairs area looked comfortable and inviting. Plenty of heaters to fight off the chill. The only downside (other than the wait, which I don t fault the venue for), was that it feels like you re in a crevasse between other very tall buildings. Bonus: $10 overnight parking at indeed literally around the corner.

If you have ever considered having an event at The Belmont, RUN dont walk and DO IT!!!! Hamid is the MOST amazing event coordinator to work with! He went above and beyond to make our annual corporate event a HUGE success. The venue was amazing, decor on pointe, the band... OMGSH, AWESOME! Everything was taken care of down to the customized drink menus! We couldnt be happier with our experience there and just the incredible staff and support we received! Especially since our event had to be cancelled and rescheduled in three days due to the ice storm here! Fantastic venue!!!! Hands down A++++++!

Hamid was the most accommodating person we worked with while planning and re-planning our wedding and it was an absolute pleasure getting to work with him. The Belmont was the perfect space to host our event. We were able to have our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all at the same venue, but each felt like like they were all at a different location, thanks to the rooftop, in door bar, and outside dance floor/stage. There was also large spaces for the bride & groom to get ready in before. If you want a true downtown Austin experience, this is the spot!

Saw a live show at the Belmont and it was a BLAST. The interior is very nice and well furnished, there is a huge balcony area overlooking the outside stage and an outside bar on the first level. We saw a show here. Its a cool venue and all. Not my scene though. The drinks are very over priced. $4 for a topo. When it is a bit chilly the heaters are up against the walls. You have to pile in groups to get warmth. Its decorated nicely. Shows are very tame. Bar service takes a very long time. We stood at that bar and were skipped many times before getting service.

My husband and I rented out The Belmont for our wedding on September 28, 2019. We chose The Belmont because it was the place where we first met, at a concert nine years prior. Not only was The Belmont particularly nostalgic for this reason, but also, the manager (Ham) went above and beyond in making our event run seamlessly and for bringing out all of the magic that this space has to offer. We were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset while enjoying cocktails and rocked out to a band with top-quality sound and lighting all night long. In fact, the venues year-round decor served as the inspiration for the decor and florals that we went with. Truly spectacular experience all the way around. Would recommend to anyone for private events without any reservation!

I didnt really know about this place up until recently. I dont know if this place is for private events only but on my one and only visit, it was for a private event. The Belmont has a large interior bar, and a small outside bar. It also has a full outdoor stage. For our event it was ideal. We had a 6 person band on stage and they still had plenty of room for all their kit. If you found this review useful - remember to like!

Great little dive on 6th for private events. Nice bar, lounge area with couches and tables/chairs, and area for a buffet. Also theres an outdoor area with a stage. Indoor acoustics with the tile floor are loud, especially if theres a live band inside with lots of people so thats the only reason Im not giving this five stars because its hard to converse and hear others as they speak. I hosted my wedding reception here and there is not enough space to express how amazing ever step of the experience was. First of all, Ham is a former wedding planner so he gave me so many tips and tricks to make the most of my budget. When I was overwhelmed with the amount of work and money it would take to make my dream into reality he worked with me and reassured me that he would make it happen. I would come into meetings stressed and leave so overwhelming happy and excited about my big day (as one should be!). The day of... Running late to set up for the party (I did not have a wedding planner or decorating team), Ham pretty much took everything from my hands and told me he would set it up. This is not typical of a venue owner! He had no obligation to set up the entire party but because he and his team are so AMAZING they did it all. I walked into my reception amazed at ever turn. I have not one bad thing to say about working with the Belmont. If you have a special event coming up, I HIGHLY recommend The Belmont. It is affordable, on West 6th, multiple affordable parking garages, many hotel options in walking distance, and the most AMAZING team to work with.
