I took my mom to dinner here last night. We had a fantastic experience. The bread had a perfect outer crisp while the inside was soft. Our entrees were delicious and the tiramisu for dessert really hit the spot. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and the service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

This is the most lovely italian restaurant in all of Fort Worth. Very intimate interior seating and a nice patio for outside seating! If there s a wait, it s super convinient to walk to a nearby bar and grab a drink. The food is incredible, the arrabiata is a top notch tomato flavor and the homemade noodles are so delicious! The service is great and the BYOB helps out the wallet. Definitely a great date night spot and a place I love to go to Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta!

This was our first time visiting the BYOB, cash only, Nonna Tatas. Its a cute place in the popular Magnolia neighborhood. We chose to sit inside the small, quaint, 5 table dining room. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server/hostess was super friendly and efficient. She saw we had a bottle of wine (from Neighborhood Wine down the street) gave us an opener and glasses without us needing to ask. They have an eclectic selection of glasses so ask for the style you need. We started with the homade foccia, and that proved to be the highlight. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and they arrived at the perfect time. Long enough for a glass of wine and good conversation. Our server chatted with us a little and checked in on us. Timing of the pasta was perfect, I just wish the food was. The ricotta gnocchi was gummy, clumpy and served in a baked dish. 2nd reviewer: I agree with everything so far. I would suggest if you BYOB, you BYOG too (bring your own glasses). I really appreciate the service they offered, and I so wanted to love the food, but I didnt. I feel like they had the dishes pre-made and stuck them in the broiler to reheat. My house made pasta was delicious, but the overall dish was just meh. Im glad we went, but probably will not go back. Last thing. When we paid, the change was 1 large bill and 4 ones. I wish it were different for tipping reasons.

I think I had different expectations when the description on the menu. When I got my pasta the sauce was not how I imagined it. It is a very light pasta. The sauce is watery and does not stick to the pasta. It was not bad but not my favorite choice. However my partners pasta had so much flavor and my top choice next time. Wheelchair accessibility: There is not a wheelchair accessibility inside the restaurant itself. However the outside seating you can remove a chair and fit a wheelchair.

This was our first visit and we loved it! Upon arrival there was a little bit of a wait so we went next door for a couple of drinks. The hostess was very kind and held our bottle of wine for us while we waited on our table. Both of our dishes were delicious. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer as well as a Caesar salad. Loved the salad. Dressing was so light and fresh tasting. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to others. Do you research before hand and you won t be surprised by the CASH ONLY, BYOB policy. Thank you for a great dining experience!

** This restaurant is cash or check only ** Leaving my review mainly to advise consumers of this. It was not posted visibly on the menu or on the website or anywhere that I saw in the establishment. Most people dont carry cash these days for safety reasons, and those who do rarely carry enough to cover a group meal of this sort. This is not the sort of thing you should have to discover as a surprise at the end of a meal, or by digging into Google reviews. In my case, I was parked nearby, and I had sufficient cash in my car. Ill never eat here again, though, because why would I eat somewhere that doesnt take credit card? I construe that policy as overly elitist, especially for a place peddling sub-par service and mid-range food. And its disrespectful to ones customers. Especially when that critical detail isnt disclosed or explained up front. How many people must come here and be embarrassed when they either cant pay or have to ask their date to pitch in? I expect more from a place that bills itself as an upscale hole-in-the-wall. Fort Worths food culture has declined substantially in the past decade, and this establishment is a prime example. The other big warning I have is that this place has barely any indoor seating. You will be outside among the Texas heat and copious flies. You expect this sort of thing from certain venues, like microbrews, or other patio-centric restaurants--but if youre trying to plan a romantic date between April and October or December and February, this isnt your spot. The food is OK. It was fresh and not unenjoyable, but a little bland and unremarkable. Pretty plating with minimal taste. Again, one of the standard hallmarks of the decline of FW food culture. I had the tenderloin, my date had the chicken with caper cream sauce. Both were B-. The pricing was fair. The service was slow. Its BYOB. They dont take reservations, but you wont need one because most of the seating is outside, and half of it is empty. There is only one toilet -_- Oh, and a footnote--the bruschetta was laughably disappointing. It was four of those tiny bread crackers, the ones that come in a bag of Chex Mix, along with maybe a quarter cup of balsamic chutney to scoop onto them. Im still laughing about it. I just cant stop. Why put this on a menu, anywhere? Even Chilis would turn their nose at this. Seriously. If QuickTrip sold a bruschetta, this is what I would expect.

Only about 6 tables inside, and too hot to eat outside, don t go when it s hot you won t be able to sit outside because of the heat. Food was not good at all, and I thought it was priced too high. You can byob, but they charge you $3 for each glass. No credit cards only cash and check, very inconvenient. Only one waitress and very cramped inside. Had a table close to the dishwasher and heard all the banging of pots and pans during dinner. I do not suggest if you want a nice evening out.

We have been eating at Nonna Tata since they opened. Their homemade Involtini and Pappardelle pastas are delicate and melt in your mouth. This is not a pizza place and you won t find a lot of pasta with heavy sauce. It is northern Italian and I recommend bringing friends and sharing multiple entrees so you can try a bit of everything. The focaccia bead is so good that we always take some home with extra entrees to go as well. The place is super small, 6 tables. The seats are bar stool height and uncomfortable. They don t accept credit or debit cards. Bring a bottle wine and cooler for a to-go order.

The food is very good, as is the atmosphere. Bring your own wine. This is definitely a place I d take a girl on a first date (or a wife on a 3,000th date) - and if that s the case, then request to be seated in the covered patio area, as it might be a little more romantic sitting there. Do not get: any of the appetizers! We tried them all and portions were tiny for the cost. Entree: arabiata lemone was decent but nothing amazing. I dont think Ive ever been so disappointed to eat anything as I did at this restaurant. I had the Lasagne Alla Bolognese, and Ive never tasted something that was so flavorless before. I dont even think the water the pasta was boiled in had salt. I was super excited to try this restaurant after hearing the owner has traveled to Italy several times and learned traditional and authentic Italian recipes to establish this restaurant. If that dish is what authentic Italian dishes are supposed to taste like, then I guess I wont be going to any authentic Italian restaurant. The dish wasnt seasoned at all. Not even the meat on the inside of the dish was seasoned. My boyfriend had a bite of my dish and he felt so bad for me. He knew how much I was looking forward to coming here, and he was disgusted by the dish. I hope their other dishes are more redeemable, but my boyfriend and myself will never know, because we dont want to spend over $20 for unseasoned dishes.

Some of the best Italian food I ve ever had. I enjoyed eating the Gamberi and my husband had the Carbonara. We were in seventh heaven with the food. Outdoor seating during these strange and uncertain times. So pick a day that isn t too hot. Cash, check, and euros only. Also, sodas come in a can to pour into a glass of ice. Water is provided at the start of dinner. And it is BYOB for wine and beer.

Came here with very high expectations but was not impressed. Fresh pasta was good but the artichoke was undercooked and tough. Flatbread with mushrooms and arugula was a little too raw, dry and stale. Salad was also disappointing. Might give this place a second chance eventually.

Casual neighborhood gem. Probably less than 10 tables inside with additional covered patio seating. Fantastic food. The house-made special pasta is very good. It s offered as a an upgrade to some menu selections. Tuesday-Friday only. Check service hours before you go and bring cash. No credit cards accepted.

Menu is very limited, but all the dishes we tried were good.I had bruschetta to start. Its not what you classically think of when you have bruschetta - ingredients are chopped very finely and mixed with balsamic - you then eat it on a crostini. For my entree, I had the limon e spinache, which is a lemon and garlic cream sauce. Its very rich, and sits heavy, but tasty.

Definitely has the feel of a local European mom and pop place. Salad and bruschetta were flavorful and but on the small side. Chicken Milanese was properly cooked with a flavorful breading. Penne arrabiata was not as spicy as it could have been, but still good. Tilapia salad was perfect for a hot summer meal, with the fish cooked through but not overdone. We skipped dessert, as nothing really worked for lactose intolerance. Outside seating let us watch the world go by, though we spent a lot of time shooing away the flies. They dont take plastic and dont serve alcohol, though they are happy to rent you a glass for the wine you bring with you. [The shop down the street was doing a great business the night we were there.] Good location along a restored area with multiple restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

Ive been a fan of this place for years, however, the last two times werent that great. Food is still good but the environment has deteriorated. You sit on a dirty, not swept sidewalk while a homeless man stares at you while youre eating and occasionally walks up to your table to organize cigarette buts on the ground. Also, they make no effort to keep away flies and mosquitoes...Food is too expensive to be harassed by the homeless, flies and mosquitoes. Supposed to be authentic Italian, well in Italy they clean their Fing sidewalks in front of theirs places.

This tiny little restaurant is fantastic! The service was prompt, the atmosphere inside was cozy, and the food was outrageously good! I had the veal with rissoto cake, which was wonderfully savory. Even my date who hates rissoto had to admit that this was excellent. My date ended up with the tenderloin, which he said was some of the best hes ever had. Just keep in mind, the restaurant is very small and fills up fast inside, though they also have outdoor seating. The chairs inside are not the comfiest, but the food definitely outweighed that in my estimation. I havent had Italian food this tasty at a restaurant since I was last in Italy. Its a quirky little place with great food, so I highly recommend it.

The food here is amazing. I started with the soup of the day, which was pumpkin, and couldve stopped there and been happy. It was very thick and creamy. Then I had the Cornish hen with lemon cream pasta which was delicious. For dessert I had the panna cotta with strawberries. Id be there every week if they werent so expensive. Also they only take cash so you have to plan ahead.

Okay, the food is good but it seems pretty overpriced to me. I mean, the food is close to what youd get if you were actually in Italy, but I still dont think that justifies the price they charge. BTW, the Tiramisu here is probably the best Ive ever had anywhere.
