What a great experience we had here. The bar tenders are excellent and make the best mixed drinks weve ever had. I had a flight and the samples were all very good. The gin was great. The 100 proof rye whiskey is excellent. You must stop in and experience this place..!

Another stop during our trip to Fort Worth. Id read about them on IG and a friend recommended as well. First greeting and service was awesome. The gentleman answered the questions and made so great recommendations. The crowd seemed to be locals with some out of towners (besides us) mixed in. Either way, it was a nice intimate environment. When, whom I assume was the manager, came and asked if we needed anything else, it took a turn. I dont know if I asked the wrong thing or if he didnt like the way I looked or what. Tbh, I dont think its the way I look, I had showered and brushed my teeth that day. Anyway, his facial expression was akin to gtfo and why are you even here? We finished our drinks and left, we might come back and if we do, Ill make sure to bow down before the bearded manager and apologize in advance for any stupid question I ask.

A friend visited in Australia and gifted us the Texas Pecan Brown Sugar Bourbon from Blackland Distillery, which we loved so much that when we came to the US on holidays we made sure we visited the distillery. The staff were amazing, we learnt about the history of bourbon in the USA and the legacy of the distillery and of course, bought a few bottles to take home. I would highly recommend the tour as well as just dropping past the tasting room. I can t wait to come back!

Good cocktails but the tasting room is way too small. Reservations are probably recommended if you don t want to sit at the terribly designed wall bench thing. They did eventually move us to a booth so we stayed for another round. Not sure I would generally recommend stopping in unless you know its not too busy.

A+ tour hosted by the funny, quirky, and well-versed Brian (Bryan?). Great value for the money - you get a cocktail at the beginning and then a flight of their vodka, gin, bourbon, rye whiskey, and pecan bourbon at the end. Fun to learn about the marketing vs reality of the liquor making process and ask questions to a knowledgeable distiller. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a unique experience.

My husband and I really enjoyed the tour and tasting experience. The gentleman that gave the tour was very welcoming, knowledgeable and funny! Our cocktail the Dreamsicle Fizz was very tasty! Loved the TEXAS PECAN BROWN SUGAR BOURBON and bought a bottle to take home. The presentation of the tastings were great and can t say enough about how friendly and engaging the staff was with everyone! To top it off the place is stunning inside! Highly recommend trying it out!

My husband enjoys a good low key bar with a speakeasy feel and on a smaller scale, so Blackland Distillery is quickly becoming a favorite after dinner stop on date nights. This beautifully decorated distillery also offers tours, but must be booked in advance, so check their website or call ahead. The bar itself is a combination of barstool seating, oversized booths in private-ish alcoves and table/chair seating by the distillery. You can watch the alcohol being distilled through the windows as the back portion of the business is where the actions at. Aside from amazing drinks and stellar service, they also work with the Culinary School of Fort Worth to offer some of the most elevated bar food in town. Blackland Distillery has our highest recommendation - 10 out of 10! Our order: I m always the designated driver because I don t drink alcohol, but I AM a professional eater, so I go for the food and fun. My husband enjoys a good Old Fashioned, but Eric talked him into trying their Gin in which he was genuinely surprised. The distillery works with the Culinary School of Fort Worth to serve up some amazing appetizers. We ve tried all of them with exception of the hummus plate, but we plan to try that soon as well. Those marinated Olives in oil with Feta are my FAVS! My husband loves their seasoned mixed nuts - slightly sweet, a little heat and 100% addictive! We also love to split the charcuterie board with my husband eating the meat while I enjoy the three vegetarian friendly dips - Pimento Cheese, Artichoke dip and Lemon Peel Honey. The peppers, the cheeses and the crostinis are all a win! Pros: This space is smaller in size and has a cozier feel compared to other similar bars in town. The dark moody color plate is my jam! The awesome service and shared knowledge it just feels more intimate and relaxing to us. The service is top notch and the bottles they store their alcohol in are stunning, so be sure to grab a favorite to take home! Cons: This place is too good to find any fault! Parking is easy, the food is wonderful and the service is spectacular! Pro Tip: Ask for Eric when you re seated. He s knowledgeable, professional and provides wonderfully personalized care as well as great suggestions for drinks. He s also a wealth of knowledge and we look for him every time we go!

8 of us decided to give Blackland s a try. Four of us did the tour that included a free cocktail and tasting. The other four got a table and various cocktails and appetizers It was a fun way to spend a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon. You re greeted at the door and shown to your table where your drink of choice is waiting for you. We had the Old Fashion which is made with their bourbon, and house-made bitters and simple syrup. Pretty good OF actually. The tour was fun and the guide was very friendly. Not a fan of the fact they added 20% gratuity to a party of 4 for the tour though. Let your clients chose their tip! After the tour we had a tasting of Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, and Rye whiskey. Followed by a 1/2oz of their brown sugar bourbon which was quite sweet. The four of us that didn t do the tire didn t have as good of an experience. Servers and bartenders were robotic and not real friendly. We never saw any of them smile or even appear to want to be there. For the owner s stake in this new business venture, I hope he addresses this. It makes a big difference in repeat business. All in all we had a good time and the drinks were good. Great way to support local distilleries and small business.

This is one of my favorite distilleries to go to and have cocktails. The lounge is very art deco with a speakeasy vibe. The bartenders are actual mixologists that know what theyre doing. They know their product and they know it well. The distillate itself has come a long way since first opening. Im a big fan of their gin. Their rye is starting to mature well too. I have high hopes for their bourbon as it continues to mature.

I have been here 3 or 4 times. They have some legit cocktails. It is a small place so I would recommend making a reservation which they do take. Most recently we stopped in and were asked if we have a reservation. We did not and were unable to get a table so we just grabbed a couple of bottles of the aged gin to go as it is not available in stores. Its good, give it a try if you are into gin. I didnt like that an 18% gratuity was added though.

Stopped in to give it a try 09/16 since its pretty local to us. Cool enough place, but our drinks were pretty tasteless. Three servers/bartenders on staff and very few people in the place, and still it was difficult to get service. They were pretty tied up talking amongst themselves. Legit spot. The distillery tour is informative and worth the time - Brian was knowledgeable and entertaining, even if the production area was hot AF in August. Wide cocktail selection and well crafted, quality spirits made in-house, and Blacklands gin and rye are each unique, complex and delicious. I enjoyed them neat, my date loved the cocktails. I plan to get a barrel there soon.

Recently discovered this cute little distillery in the foundry (northwest of downtown). They distill their own whiskey and gin in house and have a decent list of house drinks. You can also purchase bottles to take home with you. What really stood out to me was the create your own gin and tonic menu. They have all of the fever tree tonic variations and sooo many botanical options to choose from. If you are a lover of Gin and Tonics, you need to come check this place out and make a few different ones to try. The reason I could not give this place 5 stars was because of the relatively small interior with limited seating, and the temperature being pretty warm inside. Went on a Friday and it was pretty crowded. There s a good sized patio out front, but nobody wants to sit outside in the Texas heat. Would be nice if the indoor area was a little larger or more accommodating. It looks really cool as is.

They were extremely rude. If you have children do not support this business. The very young guy at the bar would not let us in (or even give us an option to sit outside in the 100 degree heat) bc we had a sleeping 2 month old and shes under 21. I have never been treated like this anywhere and we were just fine at the brewery and winery on the same block. I highly recommend maple creek brewery and wine and pour instead.

My beautiful wife and I opened up our shop yesterday across the street from Blackland Distillery, went in looking to buy a bottle. The staff here is amazing and very informative. They let me sample the full line of Whiskey until I liked. This Rye Whiskey blew me away. Made the evening of Whiskeys and Cokes one to remember. I have to say first off that the customer service we got was awesome. I wish I knew the name of the guy who helped us Thursday may 6th (if I can get him the kudos I will try my hardest to make sure his boss sees it) We werent able to experience the full bar and feel of the place but he made us feel extremely welcome. He was very knowledgeable about all the liquors, and even knew some history of the types of liquors. He never made us feel rushed, even if a few other people around did. Even if they did, he had the attitude like these are my guests, and I want them taken care of. For sure he is the main reason why I am going full 5 stars. Now the liquors we got to try were amazing! I would say for sure this made sure I never drink Gin again, but their whiskeys/bourbons/ryes were absolutely amazing. The flavor was top shelf, but the prices were definitely not. Next time I take a trip to Fort Worth I will be coming (hopefully full service) to try out their cocktails.

I visited on a Sunday afternoon and found all the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Their vodka & gin were the best of those spirits Ive ever tasted. We came around 10:30PM with a group of 8 people, and were met with eye rolls of a very rude bar manager. For a place that only had 1 other patron, you would expect to be greeted with appreciation. The drinks are legit and the place is very cool and elegant, but it doesn t make up for the terribly nasty bartender who made us feel unwelcome. I will not be returning with my group of thirsty patrons. A manager shouldn t be watching a baseball game on a tablet and yelling when his team scores, at the same time he should be attending customers.

Sophisticated, elegant, and beyond comparison with any other 7th street establishments. The cocktails are all remarkable, and the menu seems to have a new selection everytime we return. Just like some of the best bars in the world (Please dont tell, Dead Rabbit, ect) There are some rules to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience, not just the loud guys on the other side of the room. This place is the worst. This distillery vomits pretension, which the manager solidifies in his comment to Luke Irwin below. You literally cannot laugh out loud in this venue and not to mention their bourbon tastes about as good as their managers sour and bitter personality.. **update** It looks like the manager decided to take down his tacky, emotional, and classless reply to Luke Irwin, which was a good decision. In return, I will say they have delicious vodka.

I. Love. This. Bar. I don t even live in Fort Worth and I ve been 4 times since they opened a few weeks ago. The distillery and tasting room are an escape from the real world, hidden away from the busyness of 7th street. From the quiet, upscale ambiance to the ever-changing array of top-flight cocktails to the creative and knowledgeable staff, it s become my go-to destination for drinks in Fort Worth. If you re looking for a classy place to enjoy great conversations with friends and tasty libations, I can t think of anywhere else I d rather be. There are plenty of good places to grab a drink in Cowtown. But Blackland is a great place.

Stunning ambiance and even better when I found out who the master distillers are. Ezra Cox and Markus Kypreos are behind these recipies and I couldnt be more pleased having worked with one of them personally, I know his attention to create absolute perfection. Blackland is a wonderful place to meet for a date or have a private party. Cheers on your success!

I wanted to like this place. My wife and I were enjoying a drink at 6:30 waiting for our friends who have an adorable baby boy who is well mannered. As soon as they walked in we were asked to leave since no one under 21 is allowed. We saw no posted rules regarding quiet babies not being allowed in their establishment. Apparently the risk of babies sneaking a drink is too much of a liability.

Great looking place had high hopes but they seem to not like their patrons to have a good time. Went here after my birthday dinner where we had a few drinks and were cut off here after one drink and this is over the span of three hours. Don t raise your voice, don t sing happy birthday, don t have fun.!!! Bourbon was decent

Great atmosphere when you walk in. Very visually pleasing. I tried the sample flight of their different liquors, and was impressed. All smooth and unique. Great location, and service. Check them out for sure.
